Question: Was it wrong what I did with my engagement ring? Posted: 02 Sep 2015 11:25 PM PDT I have been asking my ex for a few days now if he wanted the ring back, where to send the ring, etc. He hadn't responded to any of my texts. Now, I have been depressed just looking at the thing so I decided I would just drive over and leave the ring on his step. I do this and i'm on my merry way; I felt a huge weight lifted and felt good until I get a text from my mother who received messages from my ex's mom about me leaving the ring there and having a note attached. (I didn't leave anything but the box with the ring in it) and mind you he's 23 so I don't understand why he ran to his mother when I could've pawned it like my mom said I should. But I thought that'd be impolite and I was tired of fighting. Was I in the wrong? Also, why would he not answer me, yet tell his mother to defend him about me simply returning the thing? |

Question: What's wrong with a ring? Posted: 02 Sep 2015 08:13 PM PDT My boyfriend buys me gifts quite often. I asked for a right hand ring. He won't buy it acting as if he'd rather buy an engagement ring. So it's been two years since I asked for a right hand ring and still nothing. He has spent way more on me than what a right hand ring would cost. Why does he think me asking for a ring means an engagement ring? I have told him I wanted one to wear on my right hand that I wasn't trying to ask for a proposal. |
Question: Difficult Bridesmaid to deal with . Should I not have her in the wedding? Posted: 02 Sep 2015 07:50 PM PDT One of my bridesmaids (Groom s sister) has not ordered her dress yet from David s bridal. The wedding is only a month away! I have reminded her several times to order it . There are no more dresses in her size in the whole state at any DB. She said she couldn t pay for it because she has bills to pay and a baby to take care of . Then she said she'll just get a custom made dress made from a designer that looks "similar". She didn t like the dress from the beginning so I believe she did this on purpose to get a dress she REALLY likes. Should I be mad ? What would you do ? |

Question: What would be the best piece of jewelry to propose with for a man? Posted: 02 Sep 2015 04:31 PM PDT I'm going to propose to my boyfriend of 2 years in November in front of my family his family and friends. We have spoke about marriage in the past and I'm 100 percent sure this will be fine. But what I'm not sure about is a ring. He doesn't wear jewelry but that's not to say he wouldn't. Does anybody have any ideas on this? Thanks |
Posted: 02 Sep 2015 04:28 PM PDT My boyfriend and I have been talking about weddings and marriage a lot lately. He told me that he just wants to be married in 6 months after proposing and just a quick 5 minute thing at our church. Just use the money for the honeymoon and whatever we need our first year of marriage. But I don't want that. I want to be engaged for at least a year and save up enough to have a dream wedding that's not over the top expensive and a nice honeymoon. My boyfriend is very stubborn and I feel as though I won't be able to wear a white dress on the day that I've always dreamt about. |
Posted: 02 Sep 2015 03:08 PM PDT I think a party that focuses on it being the bride/groom's "last night of freedom" by bringing in strippers and/or sexual paraphernalia is disrespectful to that person's partner. Shouldn't these parties be more about friends coming together to celebrate the bride/groom-to-be's upcoming marriage to their beloved? What are your thoughts? From what you guys say, it's not so common. That relieves me to hear. I guess I made an assumption based on personal experience, as I have been to 4 bachelorette parties total and 3 of them had had strippers and such (after that, I just swore them off.) And I know that strippers are more common at bachelor parties so I guess I assumed this was the norm. |
Question: If siblings are much older, do they still expect to be in your wedding party? Posted: 02 Sep 2015 01:51 PM PDT my future sister in law is much older than me and my fiancé. we are 25 and she is in her mid thirties. with 2 kids at that. I get along with her but am not that close, so do you think she is expecting to be asked to be a bridesmaid? does anyone have experience with this? from her POV? i need some insight I don't need to be told that no I don't technically have to put her in the wedding . I know that and everybody knows that it is the brides decision . The question is as a sister would she have high hopes of being asked to be a bridesmaid ? |
