She would comment on how I eat, talk, dress, anything. But for some reason all my friends really liked her and we're friends with her, they said they were on my side but would ditch me for her, hang out with her all the time, etc. Eventually I talked to J and she apologized and I decided this year would be a clean start. So me, her, my twin, and my best friend (A) all hung out. But J was still mean to me although in a lesser way. She would tell me to shut the f up, tell me whatever I did was stupid / gross. But did it in a way where it seemed like she was joking but I could tell she wasn't. So after I talked to my sister and A and they both told me the "she doesn't know she's doing it" and A told me I should distance myself and I don't know why she said that when she and my twin are such great friends with her. I feel bad that this girl is and has been so mean to me and no one seems to care at all and I don't know what to do |

When school started, they were loud all the time and not doing homework. I'm an introvert so most times, I would either be in my own room, studying or at play rehearsals. So the week of my bday came along and two of my room mates went to dinner with me because I had play rehearsals on my birthday. When we got to the restaurant, they thought it would be funny to let me know they were both getting alcoholic drinks. It made me mad because I had no clue how to get us back home and I try to avoid bad situations like that so I told them that it was not okay. The next day which was my birthday, I didn't get a call from my parents telling me happy birthday (they usually do call). I called them instead but while I was on the phone, one the roommates came in my room and didn't care that I was on the phone and just had to let me know that she left something in my car. I thought this was really rude so I got her stuff out my car and went back to my room. All 3 of my room mates left the dorm and one of them text me, sending me things like, "You came in the room and didn't speak to us. You can't be getting no attitude with us because we didn't do any thing to you." It ended up into me getting verbally jumped on by them. Later that semester, I decided to move out and got ganged up on again because I didn't tell them. But now my birthday is in a few weeks and it doesn't even feel special to me anymore. What should I do? |

I try everything to fix it , I go to a dermatologist and this is much better than how it looked before . I see all these girls with gorgeous complexions and then mine is terrible . Don't mind my hair I didn't do it in this picture but it's usually okay looking . I just never feel pretty . I don't like my skin and that's my biggest insecurity . My lips are pale and I don't have a very toned body . I see super skinny small girls and I have thick thighs and not a flat stomach . I just feel awful . I usually wear makeup . I hate unpunctuality more than anything else and I find it very disrespectful. It reminds me of my childhood when I was waiting for my father who promised to stop by and he almost never did ... She doesn't pick up the phone a lot. She doesn't return my calls or texts even for three weeks. I told her I don't like this behaviour but nothing changed. I don't stalk her I just want to be in touch with her, see how she is doing and I give her a brief call once a week. I know my friend is unreliable. She forgets our meetings. She's rarely on time. She never let me know ahead when she's running late. So I started to call her one hour before agreed meeting to remind her of that. She tells me she's almost out the door to see me. I call her an hour later asking her where are you and she tells me I'm still at home (it takes her 40 minutes to get to the meeting). Sometimes she doesn't pick up the phone at all so I don't know if I should go to the meeting or not. One day at the time of the meeting I asked her where are you and she told me I'm still at work waiting for my boss and I don't know when he's gonna get there. I told her like thousand times she need to give me a heads up if anything happens but she never did. Do you understand this behaviour? Why are some people like that? |

So I used to be in marching band but I dropped out this year. And this group of 8 or so band kids always hang out and they're the cool kids of band and she started hanging out with them. She knows I like them but she never invites me places with them. And then today she texted me this whole story about how they were hanging out in his basement and there wasn't service so her dad came to the door to get her to come home. And I asked if it was the whole group or just them and she said it was just them. And this has been happening a lot where she will tell stories about doing stuff with him. My friend is seriously really pretty and a lot of guys like her. I know she isn't trying to rub it in my face, she's seriously just oblivious to the girl code and just in general to when something isn't ok to do or say to a friend when it comes to guys. About 10 months ago she started dating one of my close friends and plans kinda changed. I ve also made a good friend this past year who now wants me to share an apartment with her boyfriend (who wants to teach me how to tattoo) But my new friend and her boyfriend never have money for anything. And they re thinking of splitting the rent in 3 but neither of them have jobs (the boyfriend makes money with tattoos but it s not enough) and they both haven t finished high school. I finish high school at the end of this year and don t have a job yet either (my dad will kindly help me out until I find my feet though) so I m unsure that it will work. My best friend wants to move to a place where I know someone who I can apprentice for with tattooing and I ll eventually be able to work in his shop. BUT I know my friends boyfriend well and he manipulates people very easily. He can t keep a job for more than a few weeks and he s generally just a scumbag. He also wants to split the rent in 2 .. the two of them pay half, and I, one person, pays the other. I also think none of them have considered water and electricity costs or any other living costs because none of them have ever lived independently before. I would like to move out and no longer burden my parents but honestly I don t know how to deal with this situation. Any advice would be highly appreciated. |

So I decided to stay until I was finished ringing all of them up. Ten minutes later, there was nobody left in line, so I decided to go clock out. When I was walking through the store to leave, I saw that there was a woman and her son standing at my register. She probably thought my register was still open and I would be coming back. I felt bad, and I wanted to ring them up, but my ride has already been waiting for me for ten minutes. As I was leaving, I saw another employee (not a cashier) go over to mine to ring the woman up. She gave me a weird look, because she probably thought that I had just left my register with a customer waiting for me, but the lady was not there when I left to go clock out, I swear, if I saw her, I would have waited. I feel so bad because my co worker probably thinks I'm rude now. :( |

We're still best friends, even though we don't see each other much anymore since we graduated... but lately though I feel like he's been, imo, a crappy friend. We're used to talking a lot on a regular basis, but lately he won't even read or respond to my messages sometimes and I see that he's online. And I've always been there for him through bad break ups or when he's feeling depressed, but when I'm in a bad mood it's like he's never online to talk... He's recently gone through a breakup so I understand he may not always be in the mood to talk, but he's kind of shut me out of his life. We used to be so open and tell each other everything, but now our conversations hardly get passed, "hi, how are you? or what's on your mind?" before he just stops responding. And whenever we make plans to hang out, there is always something that gets in the way of our plans. I love him very much as my best friend, but I feel our friendship is slowly deteriorating and I'm afraid he doesn't see it or think it's a big deal because today when I expressed how I felt he said, "I'm sorry you feel that way... I thought you and I had been pretty good lately" and stopped responding. He's usually so understanding, but lately he's been kind of a jerkbutt. Am I just being too clingy? She has always been very nice and have taken a good care to bring me up. But from last year or so, I have been observing that she is becoming more and more outgoing and fashionable. Have started wearing skimpy clothes too. All that is still fine but she doesn't carry herself well at times. Even in front of my friends, she sits with short skirts with no decency. I feel embarrassed in such situations as my friends can see everything. I don't know how to react and what can be the reason for such kind of behavior from her. Is she trying to make an effort to remain young? |
| Question: How do I make my friends parents stop thinking I'm a bad influence? Posted: 07 Sep 2015 02:04 PM PDT My best friends parents think I'm a bad influence on her. She told me about them confronting her about it recently, and how she was upset about it. They said I was a bad influence because : I wear a lot of black, I dyed my hair black, I listen to a lot of heavy metal (along with other things!) They're very very religious (not a problem, just could be helpful to know) and think my music and clothing is sinful. They also don't want me around her much anymore. We're going on a trip later this month (her family and I) and I was thinking while I was there I could wear some of my lighter clothes and act proper (like I always do!) to help make her know I'm not a bad influence. I don't do anything I shouldn't really! She's just bothered by how I look. So along with these ideas, could you all help me with other ways to keep her from thinking that! It'd also be very helpful if there were parents who could tell me what they think about the situation and what I should do if they confront me about it! Thanks so much! |

Posted: 07 Sep 2015 01:51 PM PDT My moms making me go on all these irritating outings with her, and I've complied most of the time but now I have to put my foot down, because it's just us pretending that nothing is wrong, everything's normal. I never even had a close or normal relationship with her and it's been years. I've only ever communicated with her through other people, and we have absolutely nothing in common. I feel used. Her other friend ditched her, and last year, when they were still talking, I was a useless third wheel because I knew nothing about any of their interests, bands, social media, etc. now, I'm the only one left and am made to feel as if I have this moral obligation to stick around, when I really want to completely remove myself from that old situation and make new friends. She completely isolates herself now, and has not made a single friend since fourth grade, since we all went to the same schools and conveniently clumped together. It started with around seven of us, but each person kind of branched off moved on. Call me selfish and whatever you want, but I've just never had a close relationship with this person. Why can't I leave? |

| Question: I let someone drunk take me home.? Posted: 07 Sep 2015 01:28 PM PDT Saturday night I was just hanging with my friend. I told my mom it would be an hour or so, I told her that at 8 pm. She called me at 1:10 AM to come home and was very mad. My friend and I were each extremely drunk. I could barely stand but I was too scared of getting caught as I had been caught drinking before. I Let him take me home and everything went fine. I do not ever want to experience this again. Do not comment "stop drinking" I need real options for situations like this. and Don't say "Just dont get in the car" it wasn't that easy with the circumstances I was in. My town is too small for a taxi and no one would pickup their phone when I called for a ride. |

Posted: 07 Sep 2015 01:20 PM PDT I had a childhood friend that i had known from kindergarten to the end of 5th grade when we graduated elementary school and lost contact with her because i had moved from los angeles to santa clarita shortly after because my parents didnt want me attend culver city middle school because of supposedly bad kid and drug dealing. while our time in elementary school she was a great friend to me that was friendly, caring and positive influence when i need a friend, she went to my birthday parties and another events we did outside of school an even gave me a red beaded bracelet to remember her by. the reason i ask this question is because it has been 10 years since i've seen/talked to her and she's probably changed alot during her jr.high/high school and college experiences and elementary school friendships are usually not as strong as friendships made in later school years. ive searched for her on facebook and other social media sites and have come up empty so i decided to try to get contact information from a public search but what do you guys think should i let the past be the past or go for broke and attempt to reconnect our friendship |

Posted: 07 Sep 2015 01:18 PM PDT So my friend gave me her didgetz and told me to text her so I texted her and then a few days later she responded we had a short conversation and then abruptly all of my texts stopped saying "read" but "dilivered" when I asked her a question later she responded "you decide I busy at the moment" so does this mean she saw my text on her phone and ignored it or she hasn't been on her phone and never saw it? |

| Posted: 07 Sep 2015 12:59 PM PDT so basically I slept over my friend Sarah's house, and she doesn't smoke weed. she has an older brother. her older brother and his friend came downstairs and was telling my friend and myself that they were going to get smacked. (btw I know her brothers friend kind of I've talked to him a couple of times he use to go to my school) they then asked me if I had smoked weed before and I responded with "no" I felt like I should've have said that because they would've like laughed . but they didn't. he then asked "want to smoke weed later?" and then he asked my friends brother that if i wanted to smoke if he would let and he didn't respond. I didn't end up smoking weed because they weren't home for a while, and when they did they were totally smacked already. but I'm going to sleep at her house again this Friday, and he's going to be there so I don't know if I should or not. I don't know if she's pregnant or not but I really love this girl and I feel so ******* stupid. I'm 22 and she's 20. I went on vacation with one of my buddies from high school and his family. I've had this thing for his sister since I was in 7th grade. Well she found out that her boyfriend cheated on her while we were down there because he didn't come on vacation with her. She was all depressed and I was really concerned for her and felt so one day me and her hung out all day and that night it just happened on the couch. We didn't have any condoms but somehow it just happened. She was actually a virgin before that also which makes it even worse. If she is pregnant I will take full responsibility for the child and defiantly be there because I'm in love with her but I'm really scared and feel like a jerk. I don't know what to do. And no I didn't just use her for sex. It was magical and romantic. I got back from vacation yesterday and I couldn't even sleep last night. I'm hanging out with her tomorrow and I don't know if I should bring it up or not. I'm honestly a wreck. I don't know what was going through my head. I'm usually the most paranoid and careful person about this stuff. That was the first time I ever had sex without a condom. She knows that it happened btw. She's not getting a pregnancy test either even though I suggested it. I'm honestly really scared. |

She said that he would say things about me and that I had a nice *** (lol) and he wanted to know what my type of guy was. Apparently since I'm mixed (he's white) he wasn't sure what my type was. I date guys of any race as long as I'm attracted to them but he wasn't sure. She also said that he told her that he would get my number on his last day but he never did. I saw him take his phone out when I walked by him, but at the time, I walked away not realizing why he did. She said that he was afraid to ask for my number and he didn't want her to tell me what he said. When he worked there we would talk and joke around with each other. It seemed like he would flirt with me sometimes too. A guy who still works there knows his number and talks to him, and the girl who told me said that I should give my number to him to give to the guy who was interested in me. Should I do that? Should I say find out if ____ still wants my number and if he does give it to him? I'd be willing to hangout with him as friends and see if he or I started to develop feelings. Should I? Posted: 07 Sep 2015 11:57 AM PDT Hi, i just turned 18. changed my shcool one year ago, had some friends, not much of friends really. just guys to talk to in shcool and play for 1 hour max after shcool and never hear from them again, changed shcool. i play with them so little now. it's like just games, can't talk to them, hangout or anythin. just 3 guys - 4 including me. to play a game with. that's all we are. in my new shcool i literaly have no one. i never get texts calls to my phone, ever. other then my parents. sometimes i open the call history and all i see is "mom" and "dad" time after time. i get so mad. and sad Recently, i started feeling bored/tired and have no point in this life. i mean if i do die, who is gonna miss me? other then my parents. no friends, and can't have a gf. since i live in a muslim country. i feel so empty, sad and mad all the time. of course, i pretend to be happy. never told my actual feelings, how tired and depressed i am, my whole life. all i do is sit at home. Go to shcool, home. sleep, repeat. was thinking of suicide for some time, but never for real. the thing that is holding me from suicide, is my believe. (islam) even when i break a lot of things related to religion. sometimes i just sit. looking at the sky, and talking to myself for so long everyday. everything goes inside my head. i talk about so many random things.
