Question: When to get married? Posted: 06 Jun 2015 11:18 PM PDT When I'm engaged I'll be 19, and would really like to be 20 when I get married. Only problem, my birthday is late late August. My fiancé and I will both be going back to school that September which means we wouldn't have time for a 2 week honey moon. Do we get married and take a honey moon late? I'd way rather prefer to go right after the wedding. Maybe a spring wedding? |
Question: What should I wear for my civil wedding? Posted: 06 Jun 2015 10:38 PM PDT Hi my fiance and myself are getting married in a few weeks for the civil wedding. We will wait 1-2 years until the big ceremony wedding. What should I wear? I am the man and where we live is pretty hot right now like 100 F. It will be in the afternoon (around 5) and we will only have a few friends and some family coming for dinner and some drinks. I was planning on wearing only a dark grey vest with a light purple shirt (almost white), bow tie, and dark grey matching dress pants. Is that ok? or should I also wear the jacket/suit? She is wearing a relatively short formal white dress (but not a huge typical bride dress). Thanks! |
Question: Should I go to my friend's wedding giftless, or not go but send a small gift? Posted: 06 Jun 2015 10:22 PM PDT I feel terrible for asking this question because we've been waiting 4 years for this day. My really good friend is getting married. He's like a brother to me. We don't really talk much but I always know I can count on him if I need anything. But I will be going to grad school and I have to move several states away and my sister's wedding (I'm maid of honor) is in August, which will be after I move. So I'll have to purchase airfare for that after all my moving expenses and all the expenses that go into being a part of the wedding party. Financially I'm depleted and on a super tight budget. If I go to the wedding it would cost airfare, and a car rental + gas. I could save a bit by staying with relatives though, so that's a plus. But I would basically be forfeiting my budgeted discretionary money for 2-3 months. So that would mean absolutely no eating out, no going out, no treats, no going over budget on any of my other monthly expenses, and NO surprise expenses. There seems to be two schools of thoughts on this, but I wouldn't be able to afford anything more than a card with a few thoughtful words (no gift). If I don't go, I could just make myself a bit uncomfortable for a few months and send a modest gift. So I'm torn on whether or not I should go. I thought about calling my friend and explaining my situation and asking which they prefer, but I feel that would be rude and even if they need money, they wouldn't want to admit they'd rather have my gift than my presence. |
Question: Honeymoon, just curious.? Posted: 06 Jun 2015 08:58 PM PDT What is a honeymoon like? |
Posted: 06 Jun 2015 08:37 PM PDT so I'm having some trouble with one of my bridesmaids I feel like every step of the way she has had some type of negative critique. she's causing more stress to me than she is being helpful and I just recently found out that she has been fighting with my MOH and being really rude. I spoke with this particular bridesmaid and said to her that the little things don't need to be worried about as long as I get married that's all that really matters. I appreciate everything she's doing however she ended up fighting with me about me saying not to sweat the small things and told me never to talk to her about my wedding ever again. Up until this point i have just bit my tounge. I just don't have the time for this drama. I just don't know how to get all of this animosity out of the air. I honestly need some help I want the fighting to stop. This needs to end its stressing me out and it's making me hate my wedding. my fiance thinks that I need to have them meet me somewhere at a restaurant where they can't get hostile and get mad and just sit them down and have a conversation about all of this however I feel as tho that might not solve the problem because everyones just going to put on a fake smile and its just going to continue. I think i should send out an email to telling them that this is not going to be tolerated any longer and everyone needs to learn to respect and be civil to one another. Any ideas on how to fix this without kicking someone out of the wedding? |
Question: People who DON'T RSVP? Posted: 06 Jun 2015 05:24 PM PDT My wedding is Saturday (June 13th.) With the formal invitation, I included an addressed and stamped RSVP card for people to respond to. I stated a response by June 1st is requested. As of today, June 6th, I'm STILL receiving RSVPs. I also haven't received about 55 RSVPs. So far I have a confirmed 181 guests. My parents need to give a final head count to the caterer Monday. Would people who don't RSVP, really show up?? Has this happened to anyone?? |
Question: How would I know if the wedding is on? Posted: 06 Jun 2015 03:04 PM PDT My friend Lisa and Ramon decided to break off their engagement. They broke up because she was still in love with her EX Justine. Ramon got so mad that they decided to end their engagement. Lisa went back to Justine and beg at him to take her back. Justine refuse and said I am interested in someone else. She got so mad. She went back to Ramon again. Ramon is having hesitations to marrying Lisa because he chose Justine over him. How do I know if this two people will be engage again. I would love to attend the wedding. Wedding have the best steaks. How would I know if the wedding is on? |
