Question: Expensive hotels on wedding night? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 10:59 PM PDT My fiancé and I unfortunately decided to get married the night of a big football game. We have family from both sides coming into town so we decided to look into hotels. We found that all the prices are double what the normally are! Is this something we should worry about for our guests? Should we let them make there own decisions as to where they will stay and how much they will pay? What if they decide to drive home? Can anyone think if any creative solutions for this problem? |
Posted: 15 Jun 2015 08:22 PM PDT My fiances dad has already bought a tux. Personally, I feel that regardless of whether or not I was wearing a suit, that other people should not wear a tux. That's a personal opinion, don't attack me for that. I know that my fiance is going to be confronted by her parents cause I am not wearing a tux. Besides all that, does anyone else at a wedding wear a tux if he groom is not? |
Question: Are there other alternatives to marriage? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 06:00 PM PDT I don't believe in living together unless you are married, but I don't want to "tie the knot" either. Is there any alternatives to marriage, other than living together? |

Posted: 15 Jun 2015 03:03 PM PDT I'm getting married in Feb 2016. I did some research on how much a wedding typically costs and I was surprised it costs over $25,000. I know that my fiance cannot afford that much so we were thinking about going to a court house to get married then have a party with all our friends and family. Any advice? |
Question: Why do people get married in a church? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 02:52 PM PDT It way cheaper to get married at a courthouse, it's only like $60. $35 for the pre marriage license and $25 for the judge who does the vows. |
Question: What distance is reasonable for a wedding cake vendor from your area? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 01:37 PM PDT I live in northern Virginia. I have dietary needs for my wedding. A cake vendor that can offer them is in New York. Is that a ridiculous distance for a wedding cake? I feel like since it's such an important occasion that maybe some people do it? But I also want to take into consideration the traveling details.. |
Question: How did your husband ,or wife, propose/or how dis you propose to you love? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 11:41 AM PDT How long were y'all dating? How did was it done? How did you feel? |
Question: How did you know you met "the one"? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 11:35 AM PDT What made you fall in love with him or her? How did you know they were the one? How long have y'all been married? Was there ever doubt? |
Question: Walking down the aisle with nieces and nephews? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 11:07 AM PDT My family is very dysfunctional, I was raised by my grandma. My mother was never around in till she got sick a few years ago and I cared for her. She passed away 2 years ago. My father has only been involved in my life for a total of 1 year spread over my lifetime. So I don't know who should walk me down the aisle at my wedding. My sister is my maid of honor. And said she would walk with me. But I like the idea of her walking with his best man. I was on a website and came across someone with a similar story and she had her sisters 3 children walk her down the aisle. I love the idea. But my sisters kids are going to be, 6, 7, 9, and 9 at the time of my wedding. Our wedding is going to a semi casual affair " picnic in the park" is my theme as it reflects mine and my patners personalities. It's outdoors at a local walking park. So if just like some opinions on the ideas. My sister and her kids are the only family I have besides my daughter. And she's my flowers girl. I don't have many close friends. |
Question: Are people quick to judge younger couples who get married quickly? Posted: 15 Jun 2015 10:29 AM PDT We are both 24. We dated for two years, got engaged, and are now only planning on a 6 month engagement. I am not having a shotgun wedding, but I kid you not that was the first thing my brother in law said when we announced our engagement. |
Posted: 15 Jun 2015 09:38 AM PDT Looking for inexpensive places to get married in or around Asheville, NC under 1,000. My dream wedding would be outside of a barn with the reception inside but everything I have found is crazy expensive! It has to be outside ceremony. The max amount of people will be 50. Ideas??? |

Posted: 15 Jun 2015 02:45 AM PDT I'm thinking about asking my girlfriend to marry me, but shes not really a ring type of person. (Personally i dont have a ring to propose to her with, and i dont have the money to buy one) So i came up with the idea of instead of having engagement rings, we would get matching tattoos on our ring fingers having either our initials on eachothers hands, or the date that we started dating, or something that means something to us. What are anyones thoughts on this? (Obviously its not mandatory to have an engagement ring, im just looking to see if this is a good alternative for it or not.) |
