I found this minister online, http://tennesseeminister.com/ However, it is the only source that he has online. I called and spoke with him and my wedding date is set for next Friday, July 3. He said to mail him a money order of $35 to his home address and I can pay the rest whenever we meet at the ceremony. There wont be any kind of pre wedding consultation or anything. He doesn t belong to a church and I m just afraid that he isn t truly legitimate. My wedding is going to be EXTREMELY low key, only 7 people are coming and it s going to late about 20 minutes. I just want to make sure this guy is actually ordained but I m starting to feel weird about it. Any advice on how I can know if this guy is really an ordained minister? I don t know how to find out. The state of TN, being opposed to same sex marriage, no longer offers wedding at the county clerk office courthouse.

I'm 17 right now and about to be a high school senior. I have never been in love (no boyfriend, no true affections towards another being) and I don't anticipate on falling in love or getting married in the future. I just feel that if I were to be with someone, we would lose interest in each other very quickly.. A lot of people such as my mother and her friends think I'm just being stubborn. My parents never anticipated on getting married (they married when my mom was 29 and dad was 36 after knowing each other for 6 months). However, they have a cold relationship and don't even talk to one another. They have been on the verge of divorce for 25 years......... I don't want to end up like them. Constantly unhappy and figjting over the most simple things. How do people manage to still be in love with one another after decades?

I personally would prefer an indoor wedding inside of a church that is really traditional. Also I don't have to worry about weather or bugs.

So we both just got out of college, got an interim job and she got a part time job to start and we are getting married in a couple of months. Well last night we were discussing the wedding plans and our plans after the wedding. We have a nice hotel room my parents got for us for the night. I mentioned I cannot wait to have sex! Yes, we saved ourselves for marriage and now it's the worst decision ever. Now she's saying she doesn't want to have sex because she might get pregnant. She's unsure if she wants kids. So I guess I have two choices here: Cancel the wedding or rape her on the wedding night?

I have been with my fiance for 8 years. We met in highschool: I was 17 and she 15. At first things were neutral but for a few years my fiance and I battled some addiction issues but we both since went to rehab and been clean. On our two years of sobriety I celebrated it by proposing. I've tried everything to have her dad accept me but he gives me the cold shoulder. To make matters worse we have a 18 month old daughter together. I want things to be atleast civil by our wedding in six months. Help! At first he viewed me as immature which I won't dispute because I was, but then we battle some addiction issues and I can see him showing some resentment towards me. It's sad because I don't like my that my fiance is put in the middle. She has talked to him and he doesn't say things to my face.

I'm getting feedback from a few forums....My fiance and I are thinking of a wedding planner for the day of so none of our family has to worry about everything. If any of you have had a wedding planner what are your thoughts on one? Was it worth the money? Did they really help out and make it stress free? I would appreciate some wedding planner feedback as well. How would you handle the day of coordination? My ceremony and reception are in 2 different places and I will be at my parents' house getting ready. Do you travel from place to place to make sure everything is being set up properly? I am the maid of honor in the wedding. My fiance's mom was upset when he told her that I couldn't go to the funeral if it's on the same day as the wedding and she was not happy about it and said "You can plan weddings, you can't plan funerals", I didn't get where she was going with that. Everyone is expecting us to throw a lavish wedding, because we earn generous/decent salaries. But we're a couple of cheapskate/tightwads. We will not spend over $200.00. We're not going to waste our money on an expensive wedding and reception. We're thinking about getting married after a Sunday service at our church, then have a cake and punch reception. Our family and friends could come, and join us. Our church family has already said that they would serve the cake and punch. We know that a lot of people won't show up, if we have a cheap wedding. But it's our wedding, and our money. We want the focus to be on the marriage, not the act of getting married. We will give the church photographer some money for taking pictures.

On Saturday I married the love of my life. It was wonderful and we are so happy. However, my husbands mother threw a huge fit because my husband chose his birth name rather than the name of his adoptive father. I understand their dissapointment, but it is our life and our choice . at first his family tried threatening him with not coming to the wedding. His adoptive father did not come to the wedding, which I feel is unforgivable and selfish. Although, I wish his mother would also have stayed, because She was very cynical the entire time, and criticized everything about the wedding. Then at the reception, during our first dance, my mom took a video, and in the background you can here his mother very loudly talking about this personal and private matter, calling her son a "******* idiot" at his own wedding. I am so angry at her. She shouldn't have been talking at all in that moment, and there she was criticizing him over something so trivial. How should I bring it up? I don't want to start a fight but I feel like she has to know that I know what a horrible person she is.
