Question: Going on a honeymoon later? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 07:11 PM PDT Is that okay or do you have to do it right after the wedding? I'm getting married in a couple of months and we really can't afford a honeymoon not to mention that we have kids to. take care of so we were just going to stay at a really nice hotel, like the Hilton that's downtown here, for the night, and then planning a honeymoon for either next April or during the summer when we'll have more money but is that okay though. My sister in law is acting like I need to go on a honeymoon right away which annoys me not only cause she's shaming me for not being able to afford it but because she also turns it into yet another opportunity to turn the conversation about her. But as I said do you have to take a honeymoon right after you get married? |
Posted: 19 Jun 2015 07:00 PM PDT the wedding is an outside wedding, and my aunt is not wearing a white dress, it's more of an off white. |
Posted: 19 Jun 2015 06:27 PM PDT No my boyfriend is not gay wtf? I kust asked for a suggestion on wedding dress. Idc about the wedding color- I can understand the symbolic meaning to white or an off white. He is in the military and its a religious view for me. He may even wear his military uniform. Its also depending on the time of year as in were still eleborating on this lol |
Question: Good wedding colors? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 05:53 PM PDT Purple, Black, & White. Bride: Dark Purple Dress with White Daisies Groom: Dark Purple Bow Tie with White Daisy Bridesmaids: Black Dress with Purple Daisies Groomsmen: Black and White (original tuxedo) with Purple Daisy No other colors in wedding party or decorations than Purple, Black, & White. |
Question: Why do people make a big deal about weddings? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 05:35 PM PDT Why do brides need to wear those huge and ugly dresses? Why do brides maids need to wear stupid and ugly dresses? Why do the visitors need to dress up to go to one? Why is it socially unacceptable to show up to one in everyday attire? Why can't I just wear one of those t-shirts with the tuxedo design on it? Why are weddings such a big deal if you watch a bride go at snail speed down an aisle, bawling her eyes out, just for the bride and groom to exchange stainless steel with diamonds or whatever, then make out in front of everyone, then you go to a reception and watch as the majority of people get very drunk, then you just leave? I'm a nonconformist. I'm not gonna dress up in a stupid fluffy dress or skirt to please someone. I don't think that's fair to the people. Why have a good time if the people you care about must go through the pain of wearing such an uncomfortable article of clothing? |
Posted: 19 Jun 2015 05:25 PM PDT I have a good friend from high school who is getting married in November, and he called me the other day and asked me if I could be one of his groomsman. I told him I would be happy to do it, but that got me thinking about whether I should do the same for my wedding. I havent asked my girlfriend to marry me yet, but I have been thinking about it for a few months and I probably will ask her in the next couple months, with a goal of getting married next May or June. That being said, should I make him a groomsman as well? My girlfriend has 2 brothers, and I have 2 brothers so thats already 4 groomsman that I would have, and then I have my very best friend from childhood who will also be in it, so thats 5 groomsman already. How many do I need? And should I ask my friend to be one of mine if I am in his wedding? |

Question: Are curls a good idea for a wedding? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 04:40 PM PDT I really don't want an updo to be honest, and I really wanted to have some curls all over you know like waterfall curls. Is it a good idea or is an updo more traditional? I honestly can't stand updos! |

Question: Rehearsal dinner outfit! Too casual? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 02:44 PM PDT I am going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding later on in the summer & I don't know too much about the wedding details. I have never been to a wedding rehearsal dinner before so I am just trying to think ahead of time on what I want to wear. I saw this dress on the Express website and I love it! Would this be too casual to wear? http://www.express.com/clothing/women/sequin-embellished-strapless-maxi-dress/pro/9363741/cat550007 Thanks!! @Rosalie: Ahh I didn't think too much about the slit and ok I was just wondering! Like I said, I have never been to a wedding rehearsal before so I didn't know you had to really dress up. Thanks! |

Question: Is it necessary to create a wedding registry? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 10:04 AM PDT My guy and I have our wedding in August. I've just sent out invitations and have enough time to edit our wedding website before anyone sees it. We reluctantly created a registry just because it's the normal thing to do. However, we are very humble, generous people and not so into the traditional stuff. I'd much rather remove the registry from our website and say: "my name and fiance's name ask that you give whatever you can afford to children and families in need" - while we're 25 and struggling to make ends meet in NYC, we feel very fortunate in our lives and honored that people are taking time out of their busy lives to celebrate us. It feels so tacky to put the pressure on our loved ones to dish out money on presents for us. I feel like it's OUR responsibility to build our home, not fair to make them pay for us. Also, my parents are paying for our $10,000 wedding. It just feels so greedy to ask everyone for presents on top of that (even though we could use some of the stuff). Please let me know what you think! |
Question: Engagement ring/ wedding band.? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 08:58 AM PDT I have a 3 stone prince cut diamond engagement ring with round stones on the side. When picking out my wedding bad I choose to go with princess cut diamonds on that, but everyone is saying I shouldn't and that round would look better because it makes my band side diamonds. I already have my band and probably can not return it but I would be able to trade in. What do you think? |
Posted: 19 Jun 2015 07:34 AM PDT I was to be invited to the wedding shower. This was very kind of her to think of me and include me. She is a darling girl. We will be out of town at that time. I am not sure what to buy her and I don't want to ask outright what they need. She is 25. Any tips on what I can buy. Their wedding will be small and intimate and very casual. |
Question: Do I cancel my wedding? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 06:07 AM PDT I just told my mother that my fiance and I are expecting. I will be about 29 weeks pregnant when our wedding is scheduled to take place. My mother wants me to cancel it. She says it would be embarrassing and that this changes things. I really didn't want to cancel my wedding. I wanted a real wedding and I have been planning for months. Everyone already has their desses, I won't get refunds on my reservations. Etc. What should I do!? |
Question: Arranging a stag do stripper in Stuttgart? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 06:01 AM PDT I'm looking to arrange a stripper for the groom in Stuttgart and would welcome any advice from those who live or know the area. I am seeking a venue that might also be able to host a party of 15 for a meal and then a private room where the stripper can perform. Any advice/ideas welcome. Thanks |

Posted: 19 Jun 2015 12:21 AM PDT My sister is getting married in September and the wedding is from 6 pm- 12 am 6 pm- 9 pm it's still pretty warm around these parts and as her maid of honor my sister is wanting me to help figure out what kind of favors to do for the wedding. Chocolate just doesn't seem to be an option. And it's an outside wedding and some tables will be in the sun. |
Question: I just got engaged would it make sense to get married by the end of year? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 12:13 AM PDT My boyfriend and I dated only for 5 months before he proposed to me. I personally don't think it's too soon and we are anxious to get married but at the same don't want to rush it. Question: When organizing games for a birthday or bridal shower, what's an easy way to keep score? Posted: 18 Jun 2015 11:48 PM PDT I'm in charge of organizing games at my friends bridal shower. One game, called Mustache or Tiara, involves a list of 14 quotes read off that either the bride or groom said and everyone voices their answer by holding up a mustache or tiara sign. I want the person who guesses the most right to win, but is there an easy way to keep track of everyones answers? |
