The budget is $150-$200. The color I'm looking for is a "grayed jade" or a "dusty shale" kind of color.... Thanks so much!! |
Question: SIL planning ceremony same day/ location? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 10:56 PM PDT Ok so my husband and I had been going through a real rough patch the year before last. We worked very hard and are doing better than we ever have before. We had a crappy wedding just quick justice of the peace and have been together 20 yrs now. So we decided to have a wonderful recommitment ceremony. So we have been planning for about 9 months and had stated our date so friends and family would know. So last month my husbands sister told him she and her husband were going to do a ceremony too. I was happy for her but I have to admit felt like we were being copied. Well I let it go until last night when she tells my husband they're planning it for the same day and in our town as well(she lives two hours away). I'm so upset now. This was our ceremony and now it feels like she's taking it away. What should I do?? I want to confront her about it but don't want to make her mad...any advice would be helpful thx |
Question: If I attend a person's wedding as a +1, am I then obligated to invite them to mine? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 09:41 PM PDT Recently, my sister was invited to the wedding of a friend. The invitation said +1. Since she was single, she took me, even as I did not know the person from Adam. Now, when I get married, do I have the obligation to invite that person to my wedding? |
Question: Maid of honor speech outline... help? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 08:55 PM PDT Hey guys! My brothers fiance asked me to be the maid of honor. I kinda know what I want to say I just need an outline. Every other outline I've seen assumes that I knew her before she met the groom. But since the groom is my brother that is obviously not the case. How and in what order should I write the speech? I've only known the bride for a year and a half, but still have plenty of funny stories, just need help.... Thanks!! @_@ |
Question: Should I invite my birth mother to my wedding? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 08:47 PM PDT You need some background to answer my question. My birth mother abandoned me and my older brother, when we were babies. She was not a part of our lives, until we we're of legal age. My dad married the lady that I call my mom when I was three. She is the one who has been there most of my life. My birth mother has been in an out of my life for the past 25 years. I'm marrying the love of my life, in just a few weeks. My birth mother wants to come to my wedding, but I don't like her very much. To be honest, I don't want my birth mother there. My dad said that I should invite her, because she is my mother. I disagree with my dad, but that's another long story too. Should I invite my birth mother to my wedding? |
Question: I m so confused. Please help.? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 07:42 PM PDT I ve a BF. We ve been together since college. Now my parents and my big family asked me to ask him when he will marry me. I m so confused, i preferred waiting coz I believe if he wants to be with me, he ll ask. but somehow I m afraid too if this LDR relationship don t work. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Question: How much does it cost to be married by JP in your home in Toronto, ON Canada? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 04:41 PM PDT My fiance and I would like to get married within the next month... we were considering getting married at City Hall for approximately $250... however, my mother in law suggested looking into JP for both convenience and possibly more cost efficient... can anyone tell me how much it would cost and possibly if you know whether it can be done as soon as a month from now? |
Question: Is it weird to feed each other cake at your wedding? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 03:49 PM PDT I'm a guy, I'm 22. I got married yesterday and my wife is 20. I have CF so my lifespan is only 40 years and I'm inferile. When I was 15 and still never had a girlfriend, I thought for sure I was forever alone and thought about suicide because I felt there's no point living if I'm going to be alone. But when I was 20 in college, I met a girl who moved to the United States from Brazil, she's the nicest and most beautiful girl I have ever met, but I was certain I wasn't good enough, but on the last day I asked her out and she said yes. We've been together since and I had my first kiss with her. I proposed to her last September and she said yes. When we got married and they cut the cake we put one piece in each others mouths and kissed. I'm Atheist, I've always been so I don't really know much about wedding traditions, I just knew what to say when the priest asked if I took her to be my wife, I do, and to kiss her after the priest said "you may kiss the bride", I just followed her lead for the rest. I had a wonderful time and I'm very happy and I'm very thankful to have met her and I love her. Is it weird to put cake in each others mouth and kiss at your wedding or do a lot of couples do that at their weddings? |

Question: If you were at a wedding, and went to look at the cake? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 10:25 AM PDT You look at the little figurines and see that it is the actual bride and groom. They tell you they have been shrunk and stuck on there by the grooms jealous ex, who was a witch. What do you do? Help them? Leave them there? |
Posted: 28 Jun 2015 07:44 AM PDT My fiancé and I live in Ohio and are having our wedding held in Virginia. I thought of having my uncle get ordained and be able to marry us. Is that allowed in Virginia, and if so, how do I go about doing it. I know he can do it online. |
Question: Can I wear this dress as a wedding guest? (pic inside!)? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 07:00 AM PDT I bought it for 100€ (that's a lot for me) and can't really return or exchange it, I'm going to attend my brother's wedding in a week and it feels like it's kinda bridesmaidsy (even though I don't think there'll be bridesmaids in his wedding, as there aren't in any weddings I've ever attended to). https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/11401541_941970515823764_1752735904396927549_n.jpg?oh=f63d21c4e86096702b379333676956f1&oe=5619B09A I'm scared it's not appropriate guest attire, but I couldn't find anything better so I panic bought it. I'm 20ish and not super girly (that's not me in the photo, I'm more pale, and don't really have any tattoo), and i'm equally skinny, I'm worried it's too princess-y because of the tulle like veil around the skirt. (I don't know the technicaly terms, sorry xD) Thanks in advance for any help <3 |

Question: Are there any alternatives to a City Hall wedding in New York? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 02:39 AM PDT I've been told that weddings in City Hall are brief and impersonal. I would like to know if anyone has had their civil wedding ceremony somewhere else other than City Hall? If so, can you tell me what your wedding was like, give suggestions and recommend contacts that you have personally tried? Thank you very much for your time, it is much appreciated! |
Question: Why are people expecting us to spend a fortune on our wedding and reception? Posted: 28 Jun 2015 01:19 AM PDT My fiance and I are retired and disabled vets. I'm a Registered Dietitian and my fiance is a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. We've been together for almost 5 years, and we have 1 year old triplets. We are choosing to have a very simple wedding and reception. This means no alcohol, or dancing. People are expecting us to have an expensive, because of our income. We have our children to think about. They come first. We are seriously thinking about eloping, and avoiding everyone and their expectations. |

Question: Pros\Cons of getting married in Vegas? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 01:30 PM PDT My boyfriend and I are 19 and living together. We both have Christian beliefs, but there are several reasons as to why we moved in together anyway. Like my parents won't let me get married unless I live with them first, etc. Anyway, we feel bad about it, so we want to go to Vegas and just get married but not say anything and then have a reception later when parents approve. I know they will, they love him, just want us to wait another year. So my questions are: Do I have to change my last name when I get married or can I do it later? Uhm is this just stupid of us? If I do legally change my last name, how hard will it be to hide and still use my maiden name? |
