Question: Best way to present gift at bridal shower? Posted: 18 Jun 2015 07:30 PM PDT My sister is having a bridal shower. As a gift, I rented a limousine for her to use on her wedding day. (She couldn t afford to get a limo because it was out of her wedding budget, although she and her groom really want one). How can I present this to her as a gift during the shower? Any creative ideas? Thanks! |
Posted: 18 Jun 2015 07:10 PM PDT If your a punk rock chick who wears leather and dark makeup, on your wedding day do you go natural & tone it down or do you keep your rebel like self untouched. I'm not punk rock I'm just curious |
Question: Alone on my birthday? Posted: 18 Jun 2015 07:10 PM PDT I'm a teen, and my birthday is tomorrow. My family had made plans to go out to eat for dinner tomorrow to celebrate. Though I appreciate it, im still sad. I have amazing great friends yet... I can't celebrate with them. They all are either out of town, or perhaps the worst ;made plans with the other people already. I don't mean to sound whiny but I think too young to feel so sad on such a supposedly fun day. Idek what to do... For those of u who read this whole thing thanks |

Question: Bridal Shower Advice (for an attendee)? Posted: 18 Jun 2015 12:21 PM PDT So, this is the first time I have ever been invited to a bridal shower, and I'm kind of confused about what the etiquette is for gift giving, attire, etc. Gift Questions: At the bottom of the invitation, my friend included the list of stores that she is registered at. Do couples normally make certain registries for the bridal shower and then update later for the wedding? They seem like very wedding-ish things, but they are being claimed really quickly even though she hasn't even sent out her wedding invitation yet. Is it required that I give her a gift from the registries that she added? I know that the bachelorette party normally requires gifts that are specific just to her and the wedding is things for the couple, but I am not sure what sort of thing I should choose for the bridal shower. Something like a set of towels doesn't exactly feel personal enough to me, plus it feels odd to have a party for opening gifts when you know everything you are getting. Outfit questions: There is no theme or attire included on the invite, but I am confused about how casual bridal showers are. I should also mention that I am not sure if she is planning on having a bachelorette party, so I don't know if that has an impact on what sort of gift I give her (also, do guests pay for everything they do at the bachelorette party?). If it gives any context, I am 23, this is the first American wedding I have been to (I went to one in Japan earlier this year). I should add that the reason why I am wondering whether I should buy a gift from the registry is because it will tell her that it has been purchased already, so she'll already be expecting it. |

Question: Should I buy a bridesmaid dress if the bride already eloped? Posted: 18 Jun 2015 10:33 AM PDT If this question looks familiar, it's because it's an updated version of one I asked earlier but now I have more information. OK so long story short. I'm getting married in August and my fiance's brother was getting married in July. I was supposed to be a bridesmaid in their wedding and she's one in mine. A couple weeks ago, they flew to Hawaii and eloped. I congratulated the bride and told her it's a good thing I hadn't bought the bridesmaid dress yet and she replied saying the other girls were still wearing theirs and it would be nice if I'd buy it and wear it as well since they're still having a "formal reception" at their parents house in July. This makes no sense to me. So when their parents came back they said that they're going to be doing their vows again and that she's going to wear her wedding dress again. I really don't think I should have to go buy a bridesmaid dress since she doesn't have a bridal party anymore. Not to mention, she still owes me money for buying her bridesmaid dress for my wedding that I bought almost 5 months ago! I need advice! I'm planning on talking to her about it after my bridal shower this Saturday. What should I say? What do you guys think? |
Question: I have no intention of getting married ever, is this selfish of me? Posted: 18 Jun 2015 10:29 AM PDT I don't see why people waste so much money on such self congratulation with people they barely know past the third row of wedding guests. Or the faux hilarious remember when/let's look to the future nonsense. |
Question: Rustic wedding venue preferably UK North East? Posted: 18 Jun 2015 10:18 AM PDT Wondering if anyone can help me, I am looking for a wedding rustic style wedding venue. I want something that is spacious with brick walls and possibly wooden beams. Something a bit like the barn style weddings. I don't want a room with any colour or bad looking carpets! This is my only requirement, it must be a venue that can sleep around 60 people. I want something in Lincolnshire or Yorkshire but I can only seem to find venues that for my requirements in the South and that is too far to travel. Hoping some people may know of any places they have either been to for a wedding, had a wedding there themselves, or even own a place that's fits what I'm wanting! So far I haven't had much luck. Would be greatful for some help, thanks :) |
Posted: 18 Jun 2015 08:05 AM PDT I'm an asian girl engaged to a white guy. I'm also pregant with his baby. We dated three years/lived with each other for two years/engaged for two months before I got pregnant. My fiance and I are very excited. It is sooner than expected, but we wanted to have kids in the near future anyways and he's definetly the man I want to be the father of my children. I'm nervous to tell my parents. They don't approve of my fiance because he's not asian. They want me to pass on the asian heritage/culture/race by marrying asian. I promise they're not racist, but they do not like the idea of not having a pure asian family. I always intended to, but I fell in love with someone else. When I first told them I was dating my fiance they did not like it. I haven't told them I'm living with him or engaged and I certainly haven't told them I'm pregnant. I know I need to tell them for obvious reasons, but I'm nervous. I love my parents, but no matter what I'm going to marry my fiance/father of my child and future kids. How can I help them see he's the best guy for me? How can I help them understand I love him and he'll be a great dad for their grandkids? |
Posted: 18 Jun 2015 07:44 AM PDT i feel i've done nothing seriously wrong. we live together now (well she evicted us on the 1st) and she used to be a sweet reasonable woman but she got cancer and completely changed. i anticipated spats between us (and they happened) but i've never yelled at her, and i have apologized in every occasion, because she is my fiances mother. but now she wants it back and i feel like she isnt even the same person who gave it to me. i love her, but this ring (that ive had for years) is my love between my fiance and i and i dont want to give it up. |
Posted: 18 Jun 2015 07:08 AM PDT I just want to know if you had non traditional marriages. For example for my wedding I want to wear a teal dress and a leather jacket with black lipstick then later have a food fight lol. Did any of you have weird weddings and did they turn out ok? Thanks X💋 |

Question: In a wedding, does it matter if the priest is certified? Posted: 17 Jun 2015 09:02 PM PDT When you are getting married, does it really matter if the priest is qualified or not? Because can t you just sign a paper that certifies you are married so it wont matter if the priest is married? Not getting married, just wondering. |
