Question: Is cheating while separated, really cheating? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 07:40 PM PDT I have been married 5 years to a generally verbally, emotionally and mentally manipulative and "abusive" spouse who has a lot of personal anger issue. My spouse also have developed a stronger depression issue as well, I think my spouse may be bi-polar depressive with trust and abandonment problems. To continue; we we dated and lived together for 6 months, got married privately mainly for financial reasons. At this timr we were passionately twitterpated, because we were early in our relationship. After we got married my spouse turned me onto drinking heavily and this became our routine. As a result we got into many arguments, started by my spouse about the way I cleaned and how long it took me to clean, etc... Soon my spose became biligerent and aggressive. This progressed into my spose following 2 steps behind me, cornering me in a room or even pinning me to a wall while yelling at me. My spouse tended to punch and slam walls and doors or cause self infliction in my presence while going through these ragers. My spouse wouldn't leave me alone in another room or outside to separate and cool off, the argument always had to perpetuate. Usually it started after having a few beers. One day my spouse pinned me against our panty and punched towards me, fist flew centimeters past my face into the door. Shocked, I waited a couple days and had my sister and friends move me out, my spouse came home during. I separated with intent to divorce, that lasted 4 months. During this period I had sex one time with one guy. We were old friends and we both got blacked out drunk and had sex. My spouse begged for me back with text messages, emails, phone calls and voicemail. Eventually my spouse met me in person and we hung out a few times. Eventually my spouse convinced me of their personal change and Idecided to return and cancel the filing. My spose found out about my one night stand and has never looked at me the same since, always questioning or interrogating me whenever I go to work, the gym or grocery store. This second time around, I cleaned up and quit smoking, drinking and went to church and the gym every day like clockwork. I had more sex with my spouse as a result of them complaining about not having sex as often as they wanted (went from 3-4 days a week to about 5 - 6 days a week). Despite my perfection and efforts to please my spouse and make things work, my spouse continued in their ways with excessive drinking, smoking and weed smoking. We did Christan marriage counseling twice and failed both times because they would lie to keep face and make our marriage look problem free and keep blame away from them self. After 1 year 6 months; more rounds of verbal, mental and verbal abuse - thoughts about killing myself due to my spouses lack of change and my lack of inspiring them to change. I left my spose again with intent for divorce, we separated for 8 months. During this time I had 2 one night stands and a sexual relationship with one person I grew fond of sexually. Once again my spouse begged and begged for me back via any means of communication as knowledgeable of. Once again I started filing the divorce paperwork and was convinced my spouse changed based off their word and I returned to my spouse and canceled the filing with the courts after 8 months of living separated. My spose believes that me having sexual a relationship and 4 one night stands is cheating even if we were separated. Justified by never having an official court approved finalized separation or divorce on paper. To my spouse, we were still in a binding marriage contract when I had these sexual relations, therefore I cheated. I believe that because I experienced emotional abandonment and abuse leaving my spouse twices with intent for divorce, then I was already emotionally and mentally divorced from my spouse; even if there were no finalized court approved documents to break our marriage contract. Who is on the right? Am I in the wrong? |
Question: If you have a rep known to many..? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 07:17 PM PDT Where as a kid you messed up and had sex and were given a bad name, then as a adult unhappily married 20 yrs cheated on your spouse while living apart for 2 yrs.. and your female, how do you go from being a slut to being anything else to the world? If I try to stay in my office profession I'm afraid I will not be respected...and things will just get bad while I ruin my family's rep. Am I better off staying home or working? I have kids and the rumor mill is saying I have a rep for sucking ***** and then sucked a dick with someone I worked with. |

Question: Is my wife cheating / wrong? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 06:42 PM PDT One particular day, i had been working very late till the next morning. Then i discovered that while i was not at home, my wife was chatting online with another guy on sex topics. I had confronted her and asked her to let me check her phone. This is what i discovered : She was chatting online with this guy on things like sex experience, which eventually leads to her describing to him on how her nipples were attractive, and her pussy etc. Later, it lead to him telling my wife to masturbate, and telling her to imagine, then touch her own body, etc. After that, i stopped reading and i confronted my wife to which she tells me that 1) no pics sent 2) not possible for physical relationship due to geographical 3) she does all this with main purpose to help strengthen our (me and wife ) relationship by getting more experience, knowledge and skills. She kept emphasising on point 3 and says it is not wrong. I think its wrong. What do you all think? |
Question: My husband sent a naked pic of me to his ex? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 06:42 PM PDT And it wasn't a saved pic... he did it through snapchat and when she told me he confessed. Question: Parenting advice!!!? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 06:30 PM PDT Daughter is 16, and my husband caught her alone, in our home with a boy when she was supposed to be the only one there besides a friend named Becca. Our daughter said nothing happened besides they went swimming in our pool, but my husband said he was in her room. She was already changed out of a bathing suit and hers was hanging up in the bathroom to dry. The had obviously gone swimming because he was in a wet bathing suit and her hair was soaking wet. I took her phone and laptop, but when I went through it I found out she was sending nude photos to this guy. Her father and her talked about it, and they came up with 2 promises that stayed between them. I don't know what to do with her. Do you think I should have gone through her phone? |

Question: Why do women divorce their husbands when the husband cannot have sex anymore? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 05:37 PM PDT I see the same thing time and time again: Nice kind, caring, supportive and loving husband is happily married for years, then something happens (either age or medical ) and suddenly his desire for sex is just not there and the wife gets in a bundle and divorces her husband. Yet years earlier she would complain that men are only interested in one thing (sex) and that upset her. So now that sex is not part of the relationship, why do women divorce the man once the man cannot have sex anymore? |

Question: I want to get a divorce but feel bad for my two kids.? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 04:18 PM PDT Me and my hubby argue almost everyday. We have nothing in common. The way we think is extreme opposite. He is from Norway and i am from hong Kong. I hate to live in Norway. I probably got depression from living in this country for 3 yrs. dark, rain, windy weather everyday. I really dont see the sun much. Today is my bday. I was gonna go to a nice restaurant with my 2 kids and hubby. But we ended up going with his whole entire family without asking me first. And no one talked to me the whole entire meal. So this is THEIR family gathering, not my bday dinner. In addition, my son is Autistic and got poor quality of help here. I just simply cant take it anymore when i think about the rest of my life is so miserable. But if i get divorce, i will move back to HK and the kids wont see the dad often. What would you do if u were me? |

Question: Should I force my wife to go to counseling? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 03:45 PM PDT My wife is or was a police officer. One night I was working late and our house got attacked. The bastards trashed our house stole anything of value they could get and put my wife in the hospital. She wouldn't talk about to me for months and would go off on me for even trying. She started acting out at work and when given the option to see a professional she quit her job said she wanted to focus on our marriage. She doesn't leave the house ever now. She's jumpy and flinches when I or anyone touches her. She's become a completely different person and I'm terrified she wasn't completely honest about what happened to her. I tried talking to her she refuses to get help. My wife is stubborn and she doesn't like to ask for help. From what I understand she had and abusive step father and she always took the worst of it to protect her little sister. I talked to her sister and according to her That's always been my wife's problem putting others before herself. I wont to get her help but she refuses to admit something is wrong I seriously thinking about doing an intervention and making her go to counseling. |
Question: Is my wife s therapist crossing boundaries? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 03:37 PM PDT My relationship with my wife has been troubled for a month and a half. I m in therapy since May, soon after talking to my wife about resolving some sexual issues (my libido has always been higher than hers). I offered to take sex out of the picture - trying to demonstrate my willingness to resolve it & earn back her trust & intimacy - by sleeping on the couch. Pretty soon I realized there was more going on; she locked me out of the bedroom, told me I was emotionally abusive, she didn t feel safe, and maybe I should spend some time away from the house. The pressure built up to the point that I did leave the house. This behavior is not like my wife of 18 years. I didn t know then if the cause was hormones (early onset menopause), or my own midlife crisis. All along I have pleaded for her to do couples counseling, which she refuses, saying she needs me to work out my issues first. She has been seeing a therapist since December. This therapist was originally my therapist, which became 2 or 3 couples sessions with my wife, until at the end of one session the therapist suggested she could help my wife with her business plan (my wife works out of the home). At that point I stopped going. This past Monday - after being out of my home for 2 1/2 weeks - I was served with an order of protection. I can t contact my wife or my kids. Part of the order indicates that her therapist has assisted with a safety plan, thinks I am a danger, and believes I am electronically monitoring her. Any thoughts on this mess I'm in? |

Question: Can I still receive my husband pension if we are separated? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 02:10 PM PDT |
Question: I keep blaming myself, please help? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 01:54 PM PDT I was with my boyfriend for 3.5 years, we lived together until he went to prison. He spent 18 months in prison. He was an alcoholic and drug addict and was in a rehab program in prison. He cheated on me, lied to me daily, manipulated me, and repetitively tried to have sex with me in my sleep. When he went to prison I had to learn to be apart from me, we had always spent 24/7 together. I mourned the loss as if it were a death, he was 6 hours away and I couldn't get up to visit much. He was always very codependent and I was growing up and becoming a separate person, aside from his GF. I felt good finally! A few months before he got out, I broke up with him because I wanted space to do me, and I dated someone else. I didn't see the changes I had hoped for him in and it scared me. When he got out I tried again to make it work with him but he went behind my back and talked to other females! So I dated someone else else. I don't need to be with anyone, I was just having fun getting to know people. I wanted space to be able to miss him and he became a stalker and downright scary! I admit I was mean for awhile, I just wanted to be left alone. After about of month of not talking I contacted him to maybe work it out and he had met someone. Now he ignores me, his family hates me and things I used him (even though he lived with me and I did everything for him) and wants nothing to do with me. He says since I dated other guys he is going to be with other girls. I can't help but feel selfish, mostly because that's what they are making me out to be. I didn't not ever lead him on and I never wanted to get his hopes up, that's why I tried to cut it off but in the back of my head I always thought we'd work it out. I keep thinking this is my punishment for not accepting his changes and supporting him towards the end but I was so angry :( I needed time to heal. |

Question: How should I handle this? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 10:32 AM PDT My wife and I are trying to work on our marriage after I had an affair. It was emails and strip clubs and porn. i never physically had sex with anyone. I'm trying to do the things I'm suppose to do to fix what I've done. Then she tells me she just wants to get revenge on me. she has started wearing sexier clothes because she wants to attract other guys and i honestly thought it was for me. I got upset last night when she told me that but I'm not she said i shouldn't have an opinion and don't have the right to get mad about anything. Is this the way it is do I just suck it up and let her get back at me? |
Question: Should I marry my fiancé? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 10:21 AM PDT My fiancé and I both met in third grade and began dating in our junior year of high school. We got engaged almost two years ago when we were 25. Many people think we're a match made in heaven, but I have second thoughts. This year, I found out that my fiancé has been cheating on me with his co-worker for more than a year. We fought about it and I decided to give him a second chance. No one else found out about the affair. Because of his affair, I have been feeling more disconnected from him these past few months. I don't love him as much anymore because I feel heartbroken and betrayed. We're suppose to get married this mid-August, but I rather kill myself then marry him. I know that our parents won't let me call off the wedding, so what could I do? |
Question: Is my ex trying to gold dig me? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 09:30 AM PDT We separated because he was abusive, denied I was his wife and cheated on me. He wanted another chance so I tried to work it out with him. Everything was fine, besides him being suicidal if I wouldn't spend time with him. But lately, ever since I told him to be independent, he wants me to give him our old wedding gifts (cooking stuff, bed stuff etc) to him so he can go live in an apartment and finally move out of his parents home. He also wants me to give him 200 bucks to cancel his phone. I don't find that fair because the wedding gifts all came from my side of the family... his family never gave us any gifts when we married. I also think that he can cancel his phone bill because he still has his income tax money. Do you guys think he's using me? I left him today because this relationship is too unhealthy. ... |

Question: My husband was shot and killed? Posted: 27 Jun 2015 07:01 AM PDT Hello. I wouldn't normally use this website to divulge something so personal, but I feel that I have nowhere else to turn. I just need some thorough, unbiased advice. At the beginning of this month, my husband was shot and killed by some idiot who had stolen a car and was trying to get away. A cop was shot and killed that day as well. (My husband was not a cop, he worked at a law firm). It's already been nearly a month and it still hurts like it happened yesterday. It's just so unfair that my husband, an innocent bystander, was shot and killed by some ***hole criminal who had no concern for him, his wife, and our children at home. The man is currently in jail and waiting for his trial to begin and I'm supposed to attend, but I don't think I can be in the same room with the guy without killing him or crying. Or both. My friends and family don't seem to understand my grief. They think that because the funeral is over that my children and I are just supposed to move on with our lives and be happy again. They also keep pressuring me to attend his trial, too. I don't think that I can ever move on or be happy again and I just feel so much pressure to do so. I have so many emotions bottled up that I feel I can't contain for much longer. My mother keeps urging me to go to therapy, but I feel like that's too invasive. I don't want to lie on a couch and tell some random stranger everything that is bothering me. What can I do to better cope with this terrible situation? |

Question: Divorce / Child support question? Posted: 26 Jun 2015 11:14 PM PDT Me and my wife are getting a divorce. We both want to negotiate things ourselves including child support. But from what we read the courts determine that regardless of what we want. What if the court determines an amount of support but she doesn't want to enforce it? Assuming nothing goes wrong between that agreement, would it be OK to pay that instead of what the courts says? Yes I know she could change or get mad, etc. Let's operate on the assumption it wouldn't. |

Posted: 26 Jun 2015 09:57 PM PDT my husband is saying that I need to pay the gas bill, but i dont have the money to pay.. mind you i pay the cable, phone, electric, daycare, and groceries for the whole house and any items the kids need for clothes or school. i can't make it stretch any farther. so since hes refusing to pay it we have a shutoff notice and a 7 yr old child. i dont know what to do if they come to the house to shut off the gas. what rights do i have? should i leave him before this happens? |
