Posted: 26 Jun 2015 05:00 PM PDT I waited all school year to go to NY and Canada, but right on the day of the trip (today), we had a passport problem and we had to cancel EVERYTHING (hotels, plane,). And now I have nowhere to go and I'm bummed out. I 've already traveled to everywhere around my place so theres nowhere to travel thats close. I got a friend who's travelling in two weeks but can't find anything good to do. I tried doing some studying and vocabulary but I get bored after an hour, but if you can help me cheer up and find something to do over this long break, I would thank you with all my heart :). |

Well the last time I hung out with friends was on the 15th one of my best friends came to my dance show. Well here is the back story my friend doesn't have a phone so for me to get in touch with her I have to text her brother girlfriend to tell her to tell my friend (lets call her Jill) if she wants to hang out. Well today during my last day of summer school I texted her brothers girlfriend (let call her L) and she didn't respond then my one friend told me when I have L on snap chat I can just send her a message for you so my friend did and she responded. Then L called Jill and told her to call me , which she did so I was talking to her during class we talked for like 5-10 minutes then we decided she'd come tomorrow. She had to ask her dad though so she told me I'll call my dad right now then tell you what he said so you know right now then we hung up. Now this conversation was at 10:30 in the morning it's also 5 now. I have Jill's house phone number now I don't know if I should call her because I don't want to seem desperate plus her entire house hold only speaks Spanish and I speak English. What do you think happened also what do I do??? What if I called and someone beside Jill picked up? |

They were RIGHT in front of me ... Then her friend turned and started staring at my legs too. I know my legs aren't perfect, but that doesn't give them the right to judge! This isn't the first time this happened. This girl always stares at me, sometimes like she's observing my face (which is creepy af tbh) sometimes it's look of pure hatred. But the THING IS I DON'T EVEN TALK TO HER!!! Just recently she got close to a guy I used to like, which tbh wasn't very clever since it was so obvious she did it to make me feel "jealous" when i don't even care because it was a former crush ... like whenever she's with him she looks at me. I was leaving one very special person for two months and may not even see her ever again. I started crying, my face against the black board. One of my friends saw me and then a group of friends tried to comfort me. I started sobbing while someone called the teacher. They all thought it was because I got a 67 as my grade. I had to cut out most of them because they were toxic relationships. (obsession with me, falls in love with my bf) At the moment there is only one friend who I still see. For months I have been picking her up (1 hour drive in heavy traffic each way) and I have been reserving my free time to see her. (She wanted to get out of her house at every opportunity) As long as I have known her I saw she has lying tendencies. (asking my dad to lie for her...saying one thing and doing another..etc.) I also noticed we are clearly growing apart. So recently I have been blaming myself and trying harder to be a good friend. Today I went onto facebook (she left it signed in) on my computer and right in front of my eyes was paragraphs of everything she hates about me. She was talking a girl I used to be friends with about how I'm stupid, pathetic, the thought of losing me gave her no sadness (i'm the only one of her friends that makes her feel that way) and how I'm a liar. She is the only person I felt was truly a good friend and these past few months I have been really happy. Sorry my explanation is so confusing. I am completely overwhelmed and don't know what to do. I have a rough past that makes me fragile in these kind of situations. Should I just start fresh with new friends and leave any connection with these circle of friends behind? |

When I ask them to hang out they usually say they are busy. Then at a graduation party they all had nicknames for each other and they plan to hang out with each other and I just felt totally left out and I mentioned it to them but they didn't really comment, they just continued to tell me stories of when they hung out. Everyday I've felt alone. I don't cry at a lot but I do every time I see a photo of them without me. I feel so depressed and I don't eat (and I know I should eat but I just don't feel like it) I think of what's wrong with me and why they don't like me... I just hate myself. I try to make myself feel good by exercising, drinking water, reading and just watching Netflix. I just hate being alone and I'm just so sad... I don't know what to do. Last school year (sophomore year) I had a thing with this guy for most of the school year and it ended in the summer because we couldn't hang out much and I didn't really like him anymore. Now, my friend recently went to a party and he was there, and she is now snapchatting him 'a lot' according to my other friend. I don't care that it's him, cause I have no feelings for him and I think he is trashy, but now she is talking to him and it just makes me so mad how hypocritical that is. And I will talk to her about it. So my question is, do you think she is in the wrong? Do you think that it is hypocritical and inconsiderate of her to not even tell me herself? Do you think I have the right to angry/upset? Im always the one that comes in gatherings or birthdays. but when i try to get a little closer to someone and make things private they tell me they already has a close friend and thet want me as a friend only but not so close. Im a girl by the way, 25 yrs. I made new friends and new groups but its still the same, im not anybodys favorite. Ive dated a couple of guys but they never fell in love with me. im good lookin so i get a LOT of attention from guys but they dump me when they find someone new saying that im a good person and kind but they dont feel the spark and the love and that they needed me coz they were lonely and sad and that i was there for them and they re sorry they used me. Many guys told me the same thing, and they say im a good girl with a fragile heart. I saw all my exes with other girls, they cry over them and they beg them not to leave even uf the girl was playing them but with me they never miss me Im nobodys favourite, i never felt special, i never felt that im enough for someone. Now im 25 and lost all confidence, i know im not funny and not good at saying jokes but i love to laugh at peoples jokes and spend fun time. and also i dont hv a family no siblings or parents. |

The friend I'm debating whether to invite or not lives near my new house, a few blocks away. I just feel she doesn't value our friendship that much and that I should distance myself. A little background: she rarely contacts me first, we make plans and she cancels, most times when I ask to hang out she says she is busy, I asked her to come visit two months ago because I was really excited about it and after several times of me asking she snapped at me to go have our mutual friend over instead of her and she told me to calm down and it was just a house even though I have acted excited for her for important events in her life. She later apologized for her behavior and said she has just been stressed out lately over family stuff. But I had to give her an attitude to get her to realize how she was treating me was not right which made her apologize after she felt what I felt. I then apologized for giving her an attitude and said I felt like it was the only way she would understand how I felt because me telling her how I felt didn't work. Then I apologized about being a pain about the house and said I was really excited and her response was yea you kind of were. She also said I shouldn't have given her an attitude cause I didn't know what was going on. But she gave me one first and I have family stress too. If I don't invite her I know she will say some and I don't know what to say to her. We are 15 by the way. |

Even with people I consider my friends, I don't actually have much to talk about. In fact, I find the majority of what everyone around me talks about to be- extremely boring. I want to discuss ways to impact the world in awesome ways, but it seems all that they're interested in is going along with the pointless high school drama: Cycling between many different relationships(semi-romantic as few people finish developing at this age) in the course of four years, and popularity contests. It all seems incredibly stupid to me. Due to this I can't really find anyone I relate to. What's wrong with these people? |

So you apologize for what you did but then you tell me in an angry voice not to send that kind of text message. Does that contradict his apology? Here's what the text said: You told me you would talk to me after the seminar. I wait over 30 minutes after the seminar, you don't say bye to me, and you tell everyone you got paperwork to do. I got pretty close with everyone. My best friend & stopped talking, she left me out of lots of things near the end of the year. She was really bossy with me. Sometimes my friends do invite me some places but sometimes I have important family business. Last time all my girl friends invited me to six flags and I didn't reply fast enough so they told me I couldn't go anymore.. My little 11 year old sister goes out more than me! This summer she's been to the water park, a few parties, swim parties, the mall, and sleepovers. She's been out with her friends and cousins, I have no cousins my age :( my summer is boring. My parents practically ask me where are my friends and that my sister has more than me. My old true friend they don't let me hangout with cause they don't like her.. My other one is busy but wants to spend time with me, her parents don't let her out a lot. My guy friend, my parents are strict with boys. |

On my ask.fm there's a bunch of questions telling me I'm fake. And some one else went around and asked all my friends and some people who are not as good of friends "do you think Lauren is fake" of course all my real friends said no and said nice things about me. But other girls in like 6th grade are like "not gonna say anything" or "I've learned to keep my opinion to myself" and there's this cheer clinic and I helped them out and was very nice to them. And I was just shocked at the fact that I was so sweet to those girls and said such nice things about them . but then later there was this page on Instagram and they commented mean things on all my pictures and posted a picture of me and well you can read. That's the only thing I commented back to them. They also said things like "fake" "gross" "your shorts are ugly" like really dumb things. That I didnt respond too. Then my friend texted me and said she direct messaged the account. And found out it was a boy In sixth grade! I've never really talked to him. And If he did say hi or something I was very nice back. And that's how I am to everyone. I just don't see his reasoning to do it. Do I say something to him? It's just very immature drama. But what do you expect from a couple of sixth graders. The thing is I've never done anything to them or anyone. I'm not hurt by this just shocked that people would say this when all I do is be nice to people. What do I do? |
| Question: Why can't I keep any friends? Posted: 26 Jun 2015 02:33 PM PDT I always make a lot of friends at the beginning of school or a job, but end up losing most of them by the end. In fact, I end up absolutely loathing almost all of them. I want to be nice to everyone, but I find that I am filled with such hate and negativity that I simply can't control. I always travel down this downward spiral where in the end I am isolated and extremely depressed. Is there something wrong with my social skills? I don't want to continue this trend, because I know by the end of high school I will be in a *very* dark place. |

However, sometimes we didn't get along too well. We did fight, but by the end we were able to make up. Back in September she asked if I wanted to adopt one of her guinea pigs, and we were speaking just like regular friends do. I was eager to hang out with her, because I felt like I moved on from the dark place that I was at during our friendship (I was very depressed). But she doesn't respond to texts or emails with any friends from our old school. When another friend asked if all three of us could hang out, her mother asked my ex-friend's mother if we could all hang out together. The strange thing is, her mother said that I "wasn't allowed to be around her". This was such a shock, and I felt so betrayed. If anything, she had been rude and disrespectful to me most of the time, and she was taking out her anger on me. She won't respond, and pretends like I don't exist, which hurts. What do I do? I've been trying to contact her for over a year and I still want to find some kind of peace with this. Any suggestions? |

She's always saying because I'm tall and smart and quiet I'm going to get out of high school and become the CEO of some big company and I'm going to get really attractive and she's convinced I have a big dick. She always jokes about it and it doesn't bother me but I've never told her how big/small it is. I trust her though. I was snap chatting this other girl pictures of myself and she was sending me pictures and I'm so used to snap chatting my best friend and she's at the very top of my friends list so I accidentally sent her a picture of my dick. She opened it and sent back "I always knew it was big 😂" and then she sent another one that said "so who was that actually for 😉" now she knows I'm sending pictures and she's seen it herself. I know she wouldn't tell anyone and knowing her it'll just be something she laughs about and doesn't mention to anyone but me but I am kind of shy and I don't even want to talk to her I'm so embarrassed. I can't lose her as a friend though and I don't want it to be awkward. How do I deal with this? |

Some of my more popular friends in our group always get called for gatherings, they always get surprise birthday parties. For my birthday, I barely got a couple of "congrats" on my Facebook wall. This one time I intentionally left a party as soon as I arrived to see if anyone would ask about me. Nobody ever found out I left. These observations have got me wondering. One friend started to kiss me whilst I told him no, and I don't even know how but he got me on the bed and took out a condom whilst slipping his hands down my trousers whilst my other friend watched. I started crying, got up and locked myself in the bathroom. I didn't know what to do. I told the police and my parents. Friends found out and they just believed the 'friend' that did it. So I reviewed death threats and got beaten up a few times. It's been nearly 2 years and people are telling me to get over it, and I know I'm being a stubborn ***** cause people go through so much worse, but that incident just stayed with me. | Question: Why do people always ask me favors? Posted: 26 Jun 2015 02:06 PM PDT Even since high school (in college now). Alot of people don't care to speak to me or very little then want huge favors from me(normally something actually important ) and I hate that. I said yes last time and it's turned out to be a huge headache. It could've been an easy task (which is why a said sure) but it's just a big headache because they screwed up some files (it's dealing with computers) that I literally have to spend a days just screwing around getting the files to the correct format. Literally one file took like 3 hours. Then they call and check every other hour. Kinda annoying then my computer crash. So with all that I'm pretty pissed. But for my question why do people do this? I do everything myself pretty much and I don't expect my friends to help me. But why is it like this? Just the things I do to get people through in life just for me to end up miserable myself. |

What should I do?? He did help me & when I needed help with stuff and does buy me things but he made me sad when he told me those answers when I was testing him out. Also he's mad at me for testing him. What should I do? Last school year (sophomore year) I had a thing with this guy for most of the school year and it ended in the summer because we couldn't hang out much and I didn't really like him anymore. Over the course of this time, my really good friend kind of didn't like him. She would trash talk him and after we broke up we talked about how trash he is, which is true he is kinda douchey and trashy, so I was with her on that after we split. Now, my friend recently went to a party and he was there, and she is now snapchatting him 'a lot' according to my other friend. I don't care that it's him, cause I have no feelings for him and I think he is trashy, but now she is talking to him and it just makes me so mad how hypocritical that is. And I will talk to her about it. So my question is, do you think she is in the wrong? Do you think that it is hypocritical and inconsiderate of her to not even tell me herself? I was very sad because I studied a lot for it. So I told my friend that I feel I'm disappointing my supervisor who always says that he holds very high opinion of me, also my boyfriend since he has helped me study a lot. To my surprise she said that I'm being ridiculous because she was sure my supervisor and my boyfriend doesn't care at all. Then at our friends gathering that night I couldn't really lift up my spirit and I was checking facebook instead of talking a lot. And she came to me frowning, saying that I'm ruining the mood. And immediately on my Facebook page I saw she updated her new status as "got an A in xx exam and having a great time". This morning again she sent me a message saying that she got an award or something for that course and asked if I got it too. I said I didn't. And she said oh right you got a B. Now I am more than convinced that my friend who I thought I was very close with is trying to hurt me deliberately. This is so sad. I've always tried to encourage her and support her. She has trouble attracting guys, and I'm always encouraging her like oh you should go talk to XXX I'm pretty sure he'll like you. Now this is what I got. What should I do? They pretended to be my friend, and spoke harshly and turned when the situation worked in their favor. I definitely know they won't be a good friend to me. I'm not sure if they'll change as people, but I'd rather not try to find out. Now I'm at a crossroad: if I do see them at campus, should I avoid them and avert myself (to save my emotional being), or play friendly but keep them at a distance so I can use them as a "connection" for job opportunities and stuff (the more logical decision, imo)? The first decision feels truer but isn't going to help me in the future, but the second will help my future but make me feel... A little fake. Although, to be fair, I just plan on keeping them at a distance and not really being friends with them. |
