There's this guy who has been like a vague acquaintance of mine for like a few years, and he just started working at the same place I do. Well, we both like the same types of books so it's really fun to talk about them because I don't know many people who like the same things I do. Well, anyway, I stayed after work talking about books (it's like the third time I've talked to him about books) and he was telling me the plot of a book I hadn't read and some customers came. After they left I had to leave. So I said, "I'm heading out." He said, "Okay." And I said "Are you working tomorrow?" and his back was to me and he was quiet for like 4 seconds and then he turned around laughing and said, "So you can hear the plot of [book]?!" And I said "That's why!" and he said "Get outta here!" and I left. I know that he is not looking for a girlfriend and I'm not looking for a boyfriend. But I'm really worried now that I gave the wrong impression. Because I knew that "Do you work tomorrow" might sound wrong, I said it really neutrally. That probably sounded even more unnatural so it really looked like I was flirting or something. So now I'm worried because I didn't mean to do that. Darn it. Anyway, do you think it's okay?

Is it justified to send a pic of someone that kind of looks like you but not you? One there's a safety reason as you don't know for sure who you're talking to and what they can do with your pic. Second it would be way too easy for a person to take a quick look at a pic especially if you are not photogenic and just dismiss that prospect. I've done it many times. I was talking to her for days or weeks very intimately and as soon as I actually saw the pic I abruptly cut the whole thing off. Love is a battlefield. Its not just a song. Well then warfare is based on deception. It just might be better in certain situations to be deceptive with a pic. It sounds counter intuitive but just might be true. I think you are way better off talking as much as possible before they see what you look like. Otherwise the focus might be mainly on looks. An example is I might see a pic of a black girl and dismiss it right off the bat. However if I had built up a connection with her over say a year I'd be far less likely to throw all that way and yes I just might overlook it or be more likely to give her the benefit if the doubt. Religion can also be a factor. So can age. So is this type of deception justified.? E, Insecurity has nothing to do with it. Neither does measuring up in person. Lol. If she is wearing a cross in her pic I can immediately assume what iknow about that sort of person, that they tend to be bigoted in a religious sense. That is a proven fact. Do you really think someone like that will jump for joy as soon as they find out you're not following the same religion. I've dealt with people like this in real life and once they know u they don't really care about it as much. They care a lot in the beginning but history has proven that over time its no longer a factor. So I'm going to stand behind my original assertion that deceptiveness is justified in certain cases. But you are correct that this online thing just isn't for certain people. I understand that perfectly. Besides in real life you can be yourself. I am confused! I love my wife and I have a great relationship with my mother in law but over the years I feel like she has showed some interest in me. I am 5'8 and 20 and my younger brother is 5'11", fat and 17. I workout 5 times a week, and sometimes when he sees me lifting weights at home he will say "awwww." Hey guys, this will probably sound totally weird, but it's really getting to me. I've been with my boyfriend a year and a half now and I have never eaten infront of him because I am so so scared! they are a big family so you can imagine, the calls never stop, it's gotten so bad that they are calling in the early hours of the night 1am, 2am and keeping her up, and just when she catches an hour or two of sleep, they call again. Hey all, I married a man who is half Italian. He grew up speaking English at home, but knows Italian as a second language. His family ordinarily speaks English. But this past weekend we were at a family party and his two (single) sisters, aunts, and mother all kept speaking Italian amongst each other while I was sitting there completely not knowing what they are saying. This is not at all the first time this has happened, but usually my husband is also sitting with us when it happens so I don't mind much. This time I was alone with them at a table while he was on a "beer run." So I've been friends with this girl for like 6 years no and about 2 1/2 yrs ago I started to really like her. I would usually just call her mom, but my sister and I thought it was funny to call her mother, which she sometimes didn't like, but she overall doesn't mind. A coworker 17 years older than me started causing issues with other people at work, but started to confide with me. A coworker 17 years older than me started causing issues with other people at work, but started to confide with me. He started to send me long, intoxicated messages online asking me to hang out with him and get high. One of my managers happens to be close with this guy. I talked to him and showed him the messages and he said he'd intervene.if I wanted him to do so. That night, my manager called me, told me he had my back, that he doesn't even like the guy, that he was speaking to me as my friend and not my manager, that he felt like he and I clicked and he trusted my judgement on the situation. I told him the guy probably has to go and he said he completely agrees. I haven't heard from either of them in a couple of days. Why am I so stressed out? I haven't slept all week.

My boyfriend he's 22 years old and still hasn't got in university, he finished school at 20 and toke a year off, it's been almost two years since he haven't studied or anything, he's friends are finishing university by now and he's still trying to get in, but uses he's time promotioning music and wearing they're brands and playing games. I've just recently made things official with my boyfriend who I've known for over a year now. My parents are strict so they don't believe in me seeing my boyfriend more than a couple days a week, so sometimes I'll sneak to go see him. I work a part-time job and I'm entering college this fall, my schedule will be tighter, meanwhile he will be a junior in high school. He does not work, we have discussed this before about him getting a job and he wants to get one and i want him to too, since he will be busier and won't demand so much of my time. He does not have good friends so his parents don't let him out unless it's with me, therefore he only ever wants to see me, he says it's because he loves being with me and because he does not get in trouble like he does with his friends. Sometimes I feel like our relationship is empty, he rarely ever leaves the house since his parents are strict and because he just likes being home, so he is always asking for me to come over and we've only been to the movies when we go on dates. How do I keep the relationship interesting? I love him so much but I feel like he's being selfish, I feel bored and we have only just started. What should I do ? By the way this is my first relationship I have nothing to compare to, and I have no experience with this stuff. Is this how things are supposed to be?

i do believe my ex is my soul mate i screwed up big.we were together 3 years and i cheated twice.once bc he wasnt being intamite with me he acted like he didnt want to be with me and i looked for solace in this other person.the second time my now ex and i were on a break bc im moving away for school and he didnt want to come we were getting angry with eachother and we decided togther it was best. during this break i got extremely drunk and slept with my then friend. when we ended the break got back together i told him, a month later we broke up mostly becsuse he coudlnt trust me and partly because of the whole me moving away thing. i love this man he was my first true love and i his. i have been seeing a physcologist and he has helped me alot i was too clingy in the realtionship too desperate and pushy mostly due to my abusive childhood. i dont want anyone to hate on me i dont want pitty i want to know what i can do so he can trust me again.when we are good we are amazing im sooo stubborn and i want him back im a changed person ive learned my lesson and i wont let any of that crap happen again. we have seen eachother once to twice a week for a month now we talk everyday and are gona go on a date in 2 weeks to test the waters. i am a different person now.how can i make sure he trusts me because i will give him everything for the rest of our lives it will be healthy fun and easy and just good because who doesnt want that we just need trust.how do i prove or tell him ive changed

I told him I can't do this anymore, I don't want to do this anymore. I'm tired of supporting him financially and just enabling him. He told me I'm getting brain washed by my friends and family. That I have to look into my heart because love is more important than money. He keeps telling me to not give up on us and blah blah. I feel like he is trying to manipulate me.
