Our parents got married 9 years ago and she has lived away for all these years and we have only seen each other about once a year for vacation. This past year she decided to come live with us and go to school where I live. She is absolutely beautiful and so kind. I couldnt help but become attracted to her throughout the year and its eating away at me. She doesn't really have any close friends here and isn't the best socially. We have had a couple very detailed conversations about topics I would feel weird talking to my blood sister about, we have just finished a long talk about life and mostly sex and we went into detail about our past experiences and talked about how often she masturbates and thinks about sex (my thoughts and how often I masturbate too). So I started going to a church group and o met some amazing people. One guy in particular, he's exactly like me: we have the same sense of humor,like the same video games and music and most of all, he actually likes me, and I actually feel happy and accepted talking with him. I really like this thing called "happiness" so I want to hang out with him sometime, but I'm too nervous. I don't know how to ask and I feel like I'll look like a weirdo. Posted: 16 Jun 2015 03:54 PM PDT my friend's place of work closed down several months ago and since then she can only find part-time work and has loads of medical bills lately. she was the manager of the place and the owner basically went bankrupt and has been saying for months that her redundancy payment is due but she's been living off next to nothing since then. they had a close relationship ie she'd buy toys for his kids, was friendly with his wife, they exchanged xmas gifts etc and were going to open a new place together but that plan fell through. anyway, she is hard up for money and as all her friends are broke, asked him for a loan. she knew he lent money to another ex employee a few yrs ago for a few grand but she only asked for 300 quid. while he went 'bankrupt' it was merely a legal term and he actually has money and a full time job. he hasnt replied yet but is this strange? i thought it was but sort of see her point as he owes her money for closing the business with NO notice and she's been waiting nearly a year. now she's having second thoughts and i had no idea what to tell her |

I'm male and 20 years old, I just quit college so now I'm stuck again finding a new job or course, I've never had a girlfriend which makes me feel worthless even though I do have confidence talking to girls, and I have other problems too. But I believe the root cause of why I'm so depressed is not having many friends along with the never having a girlfriend. I find it very hard making friends and even though I'd like to make new friends, it's gotten to the point where I almost hate meeting new people and trying to make new friends. I do have a few friends but we hardly ever hang out, I've never had many friends, I don't know if it's because people think I am or look weird or they don't like my personality, I'm very different to almost everyone I've ever met, I think if I had a girlfriend, I'd have more confidence making new friends but every girl I ask out is taken or too old or they reject me, but they're nice about it, I've seen a therapist before but he didn't help much and my mum doesn't want me taking medication, what do I do to get my life back on track? |

There I saw some girls that I had known from high school but I didn't like. Point is I couldn't and still can't stand them. So I went and so did the girls that I didn't like. So we were all drinking and having fun, but things soon turned. One of the girls came up to me and started arguing with me. Later during the party I heard she was saying sh*t and she would keep staring at me. So I decided to confront her. We argued, yelled and that's when things got crazy. She pissed me off so much that I threw my drink at her and punched it in the face. It was only one hit, and she flew back. I then just walked away. So while I'm walking away this girl got up and ran after me and grabbed my hair and pulled me down and started beatings on me so I hit her back. So in the middle of it we were separated but then her friend came out of no where and started beating on me too. I started fighting her as well while my friends tried to break us up and were holding the other girl back. So after a while we were all separated and the party ended. The next morning I find out that the girls wanted to try to get me charged. So if they do decide to try and press charges, what can I do? I know I hit the firstigirl first, but she provoked me and it was just one punch before she decided to full on fight. The second girl also started fighting me first so I was just defending myself there as well. What do you think will happen? Will we all get charged or something? |

I have no friends because I did too many drugs one day (freshman year), blacked out, I got raped, someone recorded it and told everyone I was gay. Force myself to wake up, sit in computer chair, play video games, go to bed. 3 years I have done this now, I haven't had a single friend since. Now that we are older I have realized her parents treated her like crap all those years but when it comes to her younger siblings they can do no wrong and can basically do whatever they want, another thing is that her parents have basically left the younger siblings with my friend and she is taking care of them, but like her parents her siblings seem to not appreciate all that she has done for them and again she brings up that it's her culture. Is the culture thing some brainwashing strategy her parents used to control her or is it really like this in Vietnamese culture? Now, I don't know much about mental health and I only know of my dad who has mental health problems and mental breakdowns. But this friend says that she has depression and she is suicidal. I don't want to sound horrible questioning this but she said to me that she was having a breakdown because she was crying and I was unsure whether that was a breakdown because from experiences I've had with my dad he threw things and trashed our study room in my house. I understand that everyone is different but from that experience I've had at home I feel as if she just is upset or something I don't know. But she also puts me into awkward situations as well with her mental health problems as well. Like she will tell me a story of how her dog but her once and I said "ooh that sounds painful!" And she said "I like pain so.." Like how am I supposed to respond to that? It's just so difficult. She also talks really openly about her self harm and then says about how she's extremely self conscious of it and I don't really understand how she can be both ways about it. Once before she sent me a picture on snapchat of her self harm and I didn't know what to do. The only reason I was spending so much time with her was because we were studying together so it gave the illusion that we ve gotten close with each other. She is such an envious type of person who wants to be the best but wants everyone s lives around her to be destroyed. She s always trying to start a competiton out of any little thing. She thinks she s the prettiest, hottest, most intelligeng human to walk this earth. She tries so hard to make me feel bad about myself but thing is she only shows this side to people like me who spend almost most of the day with her. I hate her with all my heart and I need help calming down because i m two seconds away from exploding in her face but I dont wanna be the bad guy in all of this and at the same time, I wanna burst this annoying bubble she s living in |

I felt 'ok' being a Virgin in the friend group because it was always me and my one other friend who could relate to each other because we hadn't done stuff but now I feel like such an outcast from my friends.I've never had much attention from guys and when I do,I'm always a bit awkward and I've only ever felt really comfortable around this one guy but I messed things up with him too. All my friends have had boyfriends and done sexuak things,but I haven't and now I just feel really worthless and ugly, and like its never going to happen. I don't really want to feel this way though,any advice? |

Posted: 16 Jun 2015 02:04 PM PDT So I tried texting her with silly stuff every day and it's been 3 days and she hasn't texted me back(not normal) until now. She finally answered me but not in a way I was hoping. She texted me saying "What" and it sounded so harsh and cold towards me. So I tried to (in a stupid manner, like we always do) make her laugh and she responded with "What" again. I tried again and told her a story and she responded with "That's nice" she sounds so annoying with me. I looked at our earlier messages where we were okay and nothing is out of the ordinary. I didn't accidentally insult her or anything it was normal. But now she has me on the cold shoulder and I don't know what to do Should I just wait it out? She's the type who hates the word "sorry", she basically hates all conflict words. I'm just afraid that waiting it out would make it worse, I don't want to lose her. We have been friends for 8 years now and she has never done something like this |

They used to send her to therapy to try to "heel her" because they thought divorce would mess her up but I'm not sure if the divorce is even what he problem is. But her parents can't even be in the same room together because they hate each other so much and her dad used to send hateful emails to her mom. Her parents don't give a **** about her. Thats not a exaggeration. I've seen how her mom treats her (her dad lives far away now) and its very rude at times, though she does she care sometimes. I know that she has talked to dyfs before and it was arranged by a therapist bc they felt it was necessary. I don't know if it was because of her mom but ik she has talked to them. Her crush/ex has a new girl. My friend and him aren't even friends anymore. He completely abandoned her. Her house is crappy. Even tho she is pretty and smart, she has low self confidence (I don't blame her). She never feels she is good enough or worth anything. There are many more things, but I won't continue to list. Honestly, her life sucks. And I feel terrible for her. I am ALWAYS there for her, I let her come to my house if things are bad at her own..but lately I don't know what else I can do. She is still so depressed now matter how hard others and I try to help her and I feel guilty about it. She cries herself to sleep all the time and I just need some ideas on what I can do to help her flip her life around. Thank you. |

First day in Algebra, he gets shoved to the floor and all the kids laugh and I was the only one who helped him up and asked if he was alright. He chews on the ends of his pencils and still, made fun of. People call him a stalker and push him around (literally) like its no big deal. I don't say this to sound rude, but I think he has some sort of autism. I only say that because my brother does and I'm seeing a similarity between the two. I'm the only one who talks to Alex or is nice... and it breaks my heart. He never did anything to deserve this crap from our peers. I always made a point to at least say "Hi" if I saw him and make small talk and stick up for him... but it doesn't make sense that I'm the only one doing it. I've yelled at way too many kids for treating him like he shouldn't be alive... but still, none of them get it. Do they grow up and stop acting like they are all high and mighty? Karma, even? Last week, I told her that I want to find some of my own friends because I'm getting bored of just being with her and want to find some other people like me. However, when I've told her that I want to go off by myself at lunchtime, she waits at the bottom of the stairs for me (when I told her not to) and pretends to be waiting for someone else. I ask her who she's waiting for and she asks why I want to know in a suspicious way. She then walks away in the same direction as I will be going. Also, she emails me every day at really late times. I've previously told her that I'll be busy on a specific day but she emails me on that day asking if she will hang out with me on certain days. She follows one of her other friends outside of class and doesn't stop until she sees her friend enter the classroom even though she's there earlier than her friend. One time, I told her I was gonna go with some friends but I wasn't able to so I went into the library to finish homework and she came with me when I told her that I was just doing homework and she sat there watching me do it when it obviously bored her. She always expects me to be with her when I need some time away from her. Her following/watching me and my friend, wanting to be with me all the time, emailing me loads and waiting for me is driving me mad! I see her every morning at school anyway so she shouldn't be bothered by me hanging out with others. |

I know there will be other students who are as ambitious as I am and these people intimidate me. I'm going to go there for two years and I'm not sure if i can make a lot of friends. But I ve always wanted to have that super tight group of like 15 friends of boys ad girls that so many of friends back at home seem to have at their colleges. So now going back to college I want to have that but is that even possible? I feel like everyone already made their friend groups. In high school I never really felt alone but at college I did a lot and I would get really depressed. My school is a big ten school so it s HUGE and I always feel lost in the crowd. I would feel better if I was starting college over again with a clean slate but I don t know how to make friends when everyone has already established their friend groups and I m scared :( |

She gave me a small part and she always gave my friend the bigger parts. We finished the course on my birthday a few weeks ago. My teacher knew it was my birthday and it was also my friends birthday two days later she also knew this. My teacher walked into the hall with a beautiful bunch of flowers and hands them to my friend and said "Happy Birthday." I had not been going to the lessons because I didn't feel apart of the class. I arrived on the evening of the performance because I had been attending the lessons a week before but in the end I just watched my class mates perform the last ever show and later when we had a class photo, my teacher came up to me and said "you should be ashamed that you didn't join in the final show" I am also getting a very low grade due to my lack of participation. My friend is getting a merit which is a really good grade, my teacher has always preferred my friend over me. She hates me!! I've known my teacher longer than my friend also.. |

He knows my EX was an animal freak and always had- cats,snakes,dogs,frogs, and w.e else she had. I'm insanely sick of animals and he brings home the worst possible critter you can bring Into a home... DONT GET ME WRONG I love animals I just don't feel like taking care of something I DONT WANT. I let him keep it (even tho I despise it)if he were to keep it downstairs while we sleep but nah it's now the king of the house and can do w.e it wants. Sometimes I really wanna fkn chop that cats head off! -he also has a really controlling/particular buddy (who lives with his parents still) who thinks he owns the place. He will rearrange to make things "better" he also was saying he's going to bring a locking cabinet so he can put his snacks and w.e he wants in it because he's tired of one of our other buddies eating the food in MY house that HE DOESNT EVEN FKN PAY FOR!!!! He took the compressor off the screen door cause it "made too much noise" he also tries to make rules like-No smoking, no late night gaming, and we have to watch what he wants while he doesn't take his eyes off his phone... -I don't hve any of my appliances in my room only a bed and a couple shelves I put my xbox tv n computer in the front room. Well my roomy is too scared to sleep downstairs so he always sleeps on the couch so I can never watch tv or play games. So I sit in my room and do nothing till he awakes in the PM. What to do? |

| Question: How do I deal with my friend getting a better grade than me? Posted: 16 Jun 2015 11:49 AM PDT This is going to sound so lame. Anyway, English is my favorite subject, as well as the one I try the hardest in. I usually get the highest grades in the class, but on the final we recently took, I got a 91 and my friend who read none of the books and tried on none of the work this year received a 94. I just feel so inadequate and subpar. I still hold the title of having the highest average in the class, but this is really bothering me. How should I deal with this? :( |
