Question: Fiance's mother being pushy about wedding stuff.? Posted: 24 Jun 2015 11:11 PM PDT My fiance and I are getting married in less than two months. Our wedding plans are finalized for the most part, just a few last minute things left to do. Problem is, his mom doesn't agree with some stuff we are doing, and she will not leave it alone. Instead of tossing rice, we are having everyone blow bubbles. His parents had people toss rose petals, and she is dead set on having us do the same. We have purchased the bubbles and planned it all out. We have told her many times that we really want bubbles, but she just keeps bringing up the rose petals almost daily. She also doesn't like the first dance song we chose. It's She's Everything by Brad Paisley, and she hates it. She hates any modern music. She keeps making us listen to all these songs. She even offered to make a song list and send it to the DJ. I don't know what to do! I value her opinion, but we just know what we want already. Should my fiance talk to her and straighten everything out, or should we just leave it alone? I really don't want to hurt her feelings :( |
Question: Should I go to my cousins wedding in the UK, even though my ex will be there? Posted: 24 Jun 2015 10:31 PM PDT My mum is from the UK, and my dad is American. Daddy was in the military when he met and married my mum. Me and my brother were born in England. Then my dad brought me, my mum, and my older brother back to the US, right before he was sent to Vietnam. I joined the Navy, and I was stationed in the UK for 4 years. There I met the most wonderful guy. He is my cousins best friend. We were together for nearly 3 1/2 years. He asked me to marry him, and I said yes. Then his "best mate"told him that I was cheating on him, which wasn't true. He broke off the relationship, and I left the UK. My ex found out later that his "best mate" lied to him, because the "best mate" hated Americans. My ex did apologize, but the damage was done. My cousin is getting married and he wants me to come to the wedding. I don't want to go, because I don't want to open any old wounds. Should I go to my cousins wedding? The breakup happened at the end of March, and I left the UK in early April. |

Question: Should I postpone/reschedule the wedding? Posted: 24 Jun 2015 11:59 AM PDT My fiance and I are planned to get married in August of this year. We have sent out invites and are getting people's RSVPs. However, I am not happy with how the wedding is turning out. It was planned to be non traditional wedding with it being held in an art gallery and then having a bbq reception. The art gallery is not very big at all and the shelter for the bbq can only hold 50 people. I now wish i had went more traditional by getting married in a church. My old church will do the wedding but we need to start the process for counseling with them 6 months prior to the date for a wedding. I really want to go to counseling and I do want to marry my fiance but I think that going through church would be best. Most people are excited for the wedding in August except for one half of my family. My dad's side. They are ify and my dad is mia. What should I do? |

Posted: 24 Jun 2015 05:27 AM PDT So I have 2 10 year old brothers and my fiancé has 1 10 year old brother and one 5 year old sister. It's a no brainer that his sister is the flower girl. the problem is,the brothers keep asking what their jobs will be and honestly, I have no idea. I don't think they'd be good at ushering or standing near a guest book because I want them to actually be involved. Please help. |
Question: Which wedding organiser website is best: www.gettingmarried.co.uk or www.wedpics.com? Posted: 21 Jun 2015 02:46 PM PDT Hello. Has anyone used either/both of these wedding organiser websites before? Which one would you recommend more and why? Free or paying; I don't mind either. And what is the photo uploading quality like on www.gettingmarried.co.uk? It says 'higher resolution' but I have messaged them to ask if that is full resolution. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance. |
