I've had no friends but the ones I've made online playing video games. 4 years ago, this particular friend I met when I was 13 changed my life. He gave me a reason to be social and fight back against my mom who was overprotective. Me and him clicked and I immediately became fond of him. Soon, we were playing games together every single night. He was very friendly, funny, and we always had a great time. Those were the best years of my life and I owe it to him. Fast foward to 2014, his curious behavior would start to ensue. He would slowly start becoming more verbally nasty towards me. He would constantly insult me during our play sessions, blame me for things I didn't do, always conspire that I was trying to mess with him in some certain way, and constantly, CONSTANTLY point out my flaws instead of his own. He started showing extreme narcissistic behavior. And this left me confused because I never did any of this to him. I hoped that whatever he was up to, was because his problems with his family in real life, that he was taking out on me since I was the closest friend he had. 3 months later and the verbal abuse has practically gotten worse. He will never miss an opportunity to put me down. He treats his other friends like real friends and me like dirt. I want to stop hanging out with him, but we have such a history together and he's the closest thing to a friend I have. And the weird thing is he's not always abusive. He sometimes tries to go into deep conversations with me like a real friend. He rarely compliments me or puts us in a state of a agreement on a subject. But the little times that he does, it does show that he cares. But then it's confusing when he starts insulting me and calling me an idiot for something he would have likely failed as well the next moment |

I invited 36 because I couldn't invite half of the lacrosse team and not the rest. So I had 34 rsvp's this week. Come Monday, more than half the people bailed. Now I only have 14 people coming. I'm so upset about this and I don't know what to do. I invited 6 plan B people, one said yes, two said they'd check and the other two never responded, another said they can't. People are still bailing to this minute and I don't know what to do. This was supposed to be my party with all of my friends but once one person bailed they told everyone else and now they're all dropping. Someone please help. I'm so lost and upset. It's a pool party with tie-dying shirts, games, lots of food, and a huge firework show. My cousin has 25 people coming. |

I have a couple friends in eighth grade and one of them is one of my best friends. I became friends with one of his friends, who happens to be throwing an end-of-school summer party. Even though it's relatively small (about 10 people) it's a huge deal for me to be invited. The only problem is, I only know about 3 or 4 people going. I'm not extremely good friends with them and their close friends are going. I'm pretty much the only 7th grader, aside from one who is BEST FRIENDS with basically everyone ever. It's all "cool, popular" people (who are kinda douchey). It'd be cool to go but I think I might have a panic attack if I went; I know everyone would just be thinking "who's this chick, I've never seen her before" the whole time and I'd be terrified. Up until I was 13 I was always looked at in a weird way by people because of my skin condition. It made me shy and lack confidence and I had trouble holding onto friends too. When high school started I cleared up almost completely, it was on my entire body before that time, and it got easier to make friends and talk to girls etc. But I never used social media. Never used facebook or instagram or twitter etc. Now im graduating high school and still don't use social media cause my past lingers and I keep imagining myself looking like the old me. But when I start college I want to change my personality for the better and be more social, but every time I'm thinking about lets say making an instagram or adding people on facebook I just get anxiety and can't get myself to do it. I really don't want to end up being full on anti-social, what do I do? |

We hadn t hung out in months, she hadn t texted me in months, and it really hurt. Just a little while ago she texted me asking me for her help with her freaking math homework. And I was just in shock? Our first interaction in months and she s asking me to do her homework for her? So I told her this /\. And she responds asking me why I m angry she just asked for help. I told her everything about pretty much forgetting I existed, how I m over it, how that of course her new relationship will last much longer than any friendship would, how much she hurt my feelings. And her response is I m sorry you feel that way. Her responses to everything were completely underwhelming. So I said good-bye and left, and started to cry. I go on Instagram and see she s posted a picture of one the girls who she used to hate, calling her, her WCW and best friend. It s like she didn t care that our friendship had just ended. Clara began to text me about how she was upset that the argument hadn't ended (even though she's the one who continued it).Since she is sensitive you have to be careful w/what you tell her so I texted Ann & Barb to have them help me on what to tell her. Clara somehow found out and got extremely mad that we were 'being mean about her behind her back.' She texted Ann telling her that she would not continue being friends with her unless she stopped being friends with me & Barb. She said we were 'bad influences' & had changed her. Clara then told Ann she HAD to send screenshots of every text message I had sent her to prove her loyalty to Clara(??) Then,Barb & I thought we had been good friends with Clara for years, but she texted Ann saying Barb and I had 'deceitful, evil(??) and judge mental personalities' so we were not to be trusted. She then told Ann not to tell us(which she did).Now, however,Clara is acting as if nothing happened, and is trying to talk to us. Would you stop being friends with Clara? |

We'd either section off the living space in half if we got the studio, or separate the living room as a makeshift bedroom. I'm wondering how we'll have privacy if one of us wants our boyfriend over or if we want to have friends over or anything like that if you know what I mean..? How would we make that work?? We aren't getting dorms because we both have pets.. |

I have a hard time feeling "connected" with any friends I ever meet, they always borderline the acquaintance and friend area. The moment they drop towards the acquaintance area, I drop the friendship. I stray away either quietly(most of the time) or I let them know that I won't be hanging out with them anymore. It's like a habit to me, it's not like they don't like me or anything either, it's that when I don't feel connected anymore, I just feel like leaving and enjoy my solitude. This however does not mean I'm closed to the idea to making friends and keeping them, it's just that I have a habit of breaking off friendship the moment it doesn't feel like it's something I wanna do anymore, which is quite often. The other day I was singing and she kept saying you sing horrible and I am in this dance program with her and she is like You don't know how to do that (Blank) does it better than you.Also she used to call me fake and dumb, and when someone is being mean to me she never defends me, she just agrees with them. Also when I get good grades she says that no you didn't and she's like a mistake happened with your grade. She also keeps ignoring me and when I talk to her, I feel like she doesn't want to talk to me. My best friend rarely seems to care or even if she does its like she gets annoyed by me or we are more like aqquaintances.. So i get things change as do people but what happened here? Last year we were inseperable she would always text me, wish me good luck texts even before my game or text me after saying "heard you won congrats😘" we would always hang out, have so much fun, be laughing and smiling, this year is so different. She doesnt text me anymore..it always me and sometimes i dont because it takes her long times to reply and sometimes she says im sorry for not texting as much ive been busy like thats ok! I understand we get busy! So do i, we both do sports and stuff.. I tried making new friends and i have a lot but she is someone im kind of caught on.. Cuz idk what changed. She got closer with this girl who likes to party and drink and smoke a lot amd my best friend is starting to do that more and i dont do that.. Its her life she can do what she wants but sometimes a few days shell be perfectly fine not exactly the way it used to be but shell say hi to me and start a conversation other days she stare at me and walk right by me.. However, one wasn't sure she could make it (she said she was free but not free). So we presumed she wasn't coming. Now she can come, but we're a ticket short. Six of us are going, and my mum is giving us a lift, as that's the max. our car can take. One of my friends offered to give up my ticket, but this would mix stuff up, as she has food issues which my mum has already prepared for. My mum has done a lot to make this go right, as no one has actually gone to the cinema with me on my birthday, but there are too many people! For some reason, being high made me feel too calm. So much that I had trouble thinking about things to say and had trouble getting any words out. | Posted: 10 Jun 2015 12:16 PM PDT Earlier today at school I was goofing off at lunch and was holding a fork and acting like i had cat claws. I went up to a girl that I have known since i was in 3rd grade and said "meow, i am a cat" and i pretended i scratched her. I will admit that I can be wierd. On the bus, a kid said that she reported for assault but i'm not sure wether to believe him. The girl i pretended to scratch is really nice and i enjoy her company. I feel like i did absolutely nothing wrong. Anyway, the kid on the bus said she went directly to the superintendent, but i don't think this is possible as the district is so big. Also, he was smiling and acting kindof funny and he couldnt look at me in the eye. Also he said the superintendent would talk to me tommorrow, but if it was such a problem they would have called right then and called my mom. A friend told me she thinks hes joking to mess with me. IDK? |
