We are not Married but have a one year old and want to do whatever is possible to save this family. It's getujg worse and afraid soon everything wil end. My daughter is starting to understand when daddy is angry and she gets scared. This isnt healthy for anyone. She has been getting into trouble in school and at home. Then her biological mom took her away then she has been neglecting her and other stuff. Now she gives us attitudes, she's been very emotional, and I guess she's angry most of the times. She will always lock herself in the bathroom and stay for hours in there. She always pick arguments and she hold grudges against people who had hurt her or make her angry. She gets angry if things dont go her way or dont get enough attention. She always wants to overpower someone and her attitude is just confusing. She attends church every Sunday and complains how her grandma force religion on her. I spend 80% of the time at his house, mine is an hour away. We each have a dog. We have a betta fish, and we've recently started a reef aquarium together with fish that we share. His mom tried to talk to him into getting a cat, which she has done before. We talked about it and both said we didn't want an indoor cat. Yesterday he went out with his mother and came back with a kitten. A litter box which was put in the bathroom closet(1 story house, small, no basement/garage) toys,scratching post ect. I was shocked. I tried to "Accept" it but I just kept getting angrier. He knew I was upset. I told him I wanted him to take the cat back. He said no. Please don't attack me on not loving cats. I like cats just fine. I've been around them my entire life and have had many. I just don't want one. I don't like the idea of the litter box. The cat jumping on the table and counters, the catching and killing of insects mice and birds. I do not want a cat. Last night I was very angry, which is not a normal state for me, and kept expressing my dislike and anger at the situation. He basically said I'm sorry you feel that way then told me he doesn't want negativity around him, there are more important things on the world than a cat and that I should leave. I say that if you want to talk to someone you should just do what you want because you respect your own wants enough to do it. | Question: My boyfriend's parents don't like me? Posted: 25 Jun 2015 10:11 PM PDT To start off, we are in young and just in college. I think some of the reasons his parents don't like me it's because they are over protective that I am his first girlfriend, whenever him and me get into a fight he looses his temper and turns kinda crazy and his parents believe I am the reason why he gets so crazy, we broke up before and during this time he was very hurt and his parents saw that as well. They are thinking of sending him back to his country because they don't want him near me. The truth is I don't think it is that serious for them to do that to him. I am on top of my class, I have a job and a car. I have being nothing but respectful to his family and him as well. I even push him to do better with himself. I am the reason why he has his current job and I help him with whatever I can. I am not going to lie and paint myself as saint, I have a bad temper which causes our fights to be really bad, but we get along so well that these fights rarely happened. I really don't know what to do, I am thinking of letting him go so that his parents don't send him back, I know he will have a better future and life here. But at the same time this seems kinda unfair. |

But everything went down hill. One of my friends met some other guys at this new school we went to. He completely blocked me and my other frind out. Then it was just me and my only friend that I had left. Over the years i have become more mature. And everything we do he is always calling me names and calling me a lieabout everything. For no reason. He just jokes around and is in general inmature. I finnaly just told him that, and he said he would stop, etc.. he didn't and it hit my breaking point. I blocked him from everything, and now i feel lonely on the internet and at school. Im going into highschool now, but ever since i had those two frinds i didn't make an more. And i kinda lost the way to make new ones. I don't know what to do. Anyone related to this? Can anyone help? |

Posted: 25 Jun 2015 08:14 PM PDT I always hear people say things like, "you don't have kids so you wouldn't understand" or "when you have kids you have this love and care that you don't have for anyone else". Which I TOTALLY DISAGREE with this. I ,personally, think that if help raise a kid or if you love & care them like you did come from you & you treat them like your own ( the kid not being your birth child,of course) you do know what is like to be a parent. Just because you gave birth to them doesn't mean that, the love, relationship,and feelings you have for that child are exclusive only to birth parents. But also, love is love. I think no love is more "stronger"(that's the best way I could say put it) or more important that the other. It all depend on how close you are & just the kind of relationship you have. But that isn't the case, I also think people find it pretty offensive, in a way. I know people who have a this kind of relationship with their older cousins/siblings(who are adults when they were born), aunts/uncles, grandparents, & family friends. They did everything ,literally, for them the only that didn't happen was they didn't come from them. |

At that point, I thought it would be awkward to say anything at all. I think it is because I am not as conservative as him? I wasn't trying to be argumentative, but he posted some ignorant thing about how we take better care of illegal aliens, giving them welfare, than we do our own citizens. So I told him actually, its not that easy to get welfare... for one you need a SSC... in addition, It really isn't that easy. Anyway, the topic isn't that important, but I was just surprised. I know we have different view points, but we are still family.. I guess Thanksgiving will be awkward now. Btw, I didn't curse or anything. I am a respectable young lady. Oh well |

I have CF so I'm out of shape (I go to Planet Fitness, take gym, play soccer and basketball), infertile and have a 40 year lifespan. I hate my high school, the only good thing that happened for me is going on a field trip to Quebec last February. In my sophomore year I had by far my best grades ever, I'd never gotten an A before this year and I got 3 in Quarters 1-3 and all 6 A's in quarter 4. But that doesn't change anything about my attitude towards DHS (sadly that's the high school I go to). Nobody here likes me, I've still never had a girlfriend and have been rejected both times I asked a girl out in high school and my lonliness is why I'm in a depression. Btw, I don't play for my school in soccer or basketball or any sport because I don't want to represent my school, I would be ashamed and disgusted to even wear something that says the school name, team or colors. Anyways, everyone here is all smiley and happy on the first day of school. I'm miserable, I know another year or bordom, struggling, stress, misery, being picked on, and lonliness has begun and I never smile for one second other than the last day. Why are people happy on the first day of school? |

As things have been going downhill these last two months and as much as I try to get this relationship working, nothing I did seemed to change things for positive between us. So I asked her to take a break, on which she agreed as this would give me time to work on my personal issues and her as well. To put you guys in the context, we had a huge fight over useless stuff 3 weeks ago and I went too far. I grabbed her arm. (It left a tiny bruise on it) and I felt horrible and ashamed of myself. Alcohol was a factor in my behavior and since then, I stopped drinking and went to counselling. I still feel horrible and I honestly DON'T want this to happen again. She has a hard time getting over the thought of me doing it. It left her frightened and scared. This is the first time it happend and I truly, sincerely told her I was sorry, and want to regain her trust that anything like this wont EVER happen again. She has been distant these last few weeks since it happened and I don't blame her either. It came to a point that I couldn't deal with her being emotionally distant and suggested we take time apart so I could work on myself, which she painfuly agreed and she said that she would do the same. We haven't set a time frame on the break. Any thoughts or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!! |
