The thing is my professor would talk to me, laugh, share personal stuff, and joke around with me when we're alone, but he would completely ignore me as if he doesn't know me if there are other students and/or professors around. He would talk to these students when we're in a group, and wouldn't even look at me and respond abruptly (w/o looking) if I talk to him. I asked him about it, but he said he doesn't know what I'm talking about. Even then, whenever he sees me or is with me in public, he would ignore me. I once asked him to shake hands with me, but he said he doesn't want to, but he even hugged a couple of other students. It's like he doesn't want to see me at all. It happens all the time. Does anyone have any idea why? I go to a small college and it's not like at large universities, where professors don't really interact with their students. It's just my professor who avoids me and only me in public. I've asked other people around and they noticed the behavior as well, but couldn't quite figure out why. If anyone can, please let me know. The house we live in is very comfortable and my daughter and I have everything we need, not because of my boyfriend. I put a lot of work into getting this house up to par. This house is my boyfriend parents they retired and moved to Florida and gave him the house. It was a little outdated so I repainted, change the appliances to stainless steel, we have very modern furniture. I am very pleased with outcome so far. I was going to start working on the backyard and one other room but lately my boyfriend has been on a drinking binge and I'm tired of it. He is an alcoholic and seem to only care about his wants and needs. There is a 6 yr age gap between us. I am getting older and coming to the realization that I don't want to be with an alcohol and the 2 sides they have. By two sides at times very loving, then at times just trapped into the alcoholic world and selfish. I have been thinking about leaving and going to this veteran shelter for women and children so I can get on my feet and get a place for my daughter and I and not continue to live with this alcoholic. He drinks everyday. License is suspended 10yrs for multiple DUIs and take him back and forth to work but yet he will still go to the bars and continue to drink and drive.. I am wondering if taking my daughter out of this house and going to a shelter is a good ideal or stay because we have everything we need and just ignore him and his drinking b miserable |

He then went back to being playfully wanting to hang out. We went to the movies and the next day or so he had a gf which he told me himself and I admitted I was jealous and he apologized sincerely about it as if he felt bad. I basically congested him and we still talked and remained friends. I still had a crush on him and I decided it was time to move on which I did. (couldnt keep up tuition -everytime we became stable we either got robbed of everything my mother worked hard for, illegal eviction ,no car we & we had limited time from land owner to get stuff and go, we were only able to grab a garbage bag full each and find a place to stay -so back on this journey... transitional housing , new private school (bullied by them b/c they all had money everything they wanted and not me) age 11-15 4. to keep it short my mom went ¨crazy¨ i love her but we'd fight shed snap at me, verbal abuse.from her and one day she snapped i ended up in the hospital foster care sexually abused by my roommate and now im battling other things- ill add details to wrap up my life story i now have ptsd, severe anxiety, and major depression doing well in school and ive had a bf a year and a half now and turns out his family smiles in my face but didnt like me and talked **** about me, hurts me more because i dont even have a family and i opened up to them. and honestly im tired of everything |

We both want children; but, we would like to wait a year before we start a family. The problem is that he wants me to stay at home and be a stay-at-home mother once we start a family. The only problem I have with that is that I recently earned my Masters degree to be a therapist. I feel like being a stay-at-home mother would mean that all the years of hard work getting my Masters will be a waste. Plus, I accumulated a lot of debt in school. My fiancé is pretty well-off. He makes about $100,000 a year. He said he wants to take care of me and allow me to be there for out future children as much as possible. He said he s going to pay off all of my debt so I don t have to worry about anything. I don t mean to imply that being a stay-at-home mother is a waste. I think being there for your children is awesome, but I don t want to feel like I've done all this hard work for nothing. A lot of my identity is tied up in my work. I've worked since I was a teenager. My fiancé on the other hand likes to be the hero and provider. I like this about him, but I don t want to become depressed being at home all the time. Opinions? My parents are strict about a lot of things like going out and stuff like that. I have been in a relationship for 3 years and a half, me and my boyfriend have gone through a lot together. My parents found out about him( which I'm not allowed), we have to get engaged. We fought for eachother a long time now and I wasn't allowed to have him at all, they didn't want him in my life, weren't even allowed to get engaged to eachother but now my relatives found out about it and thought it was really ok to get engaged and so they talked to my parents and told them they were wrong. 5 months before anything happened I broke up with him and it was about 2 weeks, had gotten drunk and got her pregnant. We both found out exactly 2 days after me and him were going to get engaged and all. Right now its gone like 10 months after everything, he has a son from another girl. My parents dont know about it and now we both backed out from the whole engagement thing. We love eachother a lot, but right now honestly I'm tired of my life..I don't go out I can't meet up with him because if my parents. He says he will fix things and come talk to my parents but when?! I can't stay like this forever being in love with someone and we cant meet up. I would never force him but why is he still with me if he cant do anything. I have been waiting a long time now, I don't even like talking about it to him anymore. IHe wanta to meet up all the time but I can't! I cry everyday,I want to get out of this life...and be with someone that I love...it feels like I shouldnt have given him a chance after his baby and instead earned my parents trust back...but then.. love him 😔 |

For one, he is married. When we became friends, we agreed that there would be no "love". It's not like I wanted to love him. I couldn't help it. So. Please don't judge me for that. ALSO- because I love him, and I have respect for him and his marriage, I DO NOT want him to leave his wife for me. And I am actually trying to help him fix his marriage. I believe that actions speak louder than words. He made a bad decision a long time ago and he regrets it more than anything. He had an affair. He confessed to his wife and things got ugly. I have supported him through it all though and gave him the best advice I could. It sucks, helping the man you love fix his marriage. I could take advantage of the situation if I wanted, but I won't. I want him to be happy with his wife. I know I shouldn't tell him, and I don't think I ever will. But at the same time, I want him to know. Do you think he does? Is there anything I can do to let him know, without just blurting it out. I do tell him that I care about him, but I never say "love". |

Literally every single website produced a completely different answer, all of them just as confusing as the other. At the moment i am currently 12 years old, and will be turning 13 in a very short time. If this information helps (which i'm not sure it will, but just in case) then: I spend most of my life reading books. I have CF so I'm infertile, out of shape (I go to Planet Fitness, take gym class, play basketball, soccer and play outside with my friends), can't grow anymore, have a slow heart rate, high blood pressure, have breathing problems, and have a 40 year lifespan. Before we dated I was in a depression, I'd never had a girlfriend because I have no confidence and hate everything about myself, I cried myself to sleep, cut myself frequently, wanted to smash the mirror when looking in it, and thought about suicide. But then she came and asked me out, she's the sweetest and most adorable girl I've ever seen. I said yes. We hold hands, hug, kiss on the cheek and when she kisses me on the cheek, it feels really nice. Her lips are so smooth, soft, very kissable and I love her, last week I had my first kiss with her and it was wonderful. Anyways, yesterday she saw my scars on my arms and she unfortunately knew exactly how I got them, she rubbed my arm on the scars and said "why"? Then she said "I love you, don't do this to yourself". Why does she care if I'm cutting myself? |

| Question: How do I deal with parents that share TMI with me? Posted: 19 Jun 2015 05:14 PM PDT My parents have been going through what seems like an eternal rough patch. Without getting into too much detail, I've been playing marriage counselor to them. I've advised them to seek professional help many times but they refuse to. Instead, they both complain to me about each other - telling me horrible, untrue things (stuff you'd never think about telling your child about their parent — it's really upsetting). I'm in my 30s, but have dealt with this for as long as I can remember. FYI, my mother is undiagnosed, but mentally unstable and my father dotes on her every whim. He thinks their problems will just go away on their own. Not matter what I've suggested to them, they don't listen to my advice or follow through - they're a broken record. At the end of the day, it seems their situation is all downhill from here if they don't seek professional help. I love them, and wish there was something I could do, but clearly they don't want to help their situation. I'm tired of getting dragged into their "mess" and feel more like a therapist, rather than their daughter. I'm really not sure how to handle this situation anymore. The rest of my family has given up and wants nothing to do with them anymore. Do I cut them off completely? Or just distance myself? Honestly, I feel like I haven't had "real" parents for a long time. They're there... but they're not. If that makes any sense. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

Posted: 19 Jun 2015 04:38 PM PDT Every member of my family hates and a bullie guy won't leave me alone.. every time i see him he mocks at me and he mocks my job... i can't take this anymore.. i'm 17 and i can't even face him.. he works out (buffed) i get shy and awkward in the class when he mocks me, and everytime i go to sleep or wake in morning i always think about it... i was walking in the streets today and he mocked me in front of lot of guys.. i couldn't speak.. i just stare and do nothing and if i spoke, i would look stupid and trust i have tried it and it failed.. he will still mock me and mock my job.. THIS GUY won't leave me alone!! my parents doesn't care about me they would pobably say "you need to be confident" I TRIED BUT I just lack in confidence.. no matter what i do, and i quit my job.. like 2 months ago and i'm here sitting on pc everyday...and if i went out.. nobody would be my friend...because i'm awkward and not social...i just think that i'm total loser... i hate myself... |
