My parents divorced when I was 8 and I wasn't allowed to see my father again. My mother has never been the nicest person, hardened by her military life. When I was 12 I was sent to live with my grandparents Because my mother said she was going to Iraq. Later found it was a lie she just wanted time to do what she wanted and make friends and party And do stuff. My grandparents were distant and I wasn't allowed to do much. No school field trips, no sporTs, no going out with friends. So many of my days meant going to school or the library. Then my mother retires from the military and decides to come live with us like everything is normal.. Needless to say we never got along. I was miserable and missed out on high school. Fast forward to college, Im in my freshman year. Failing classes because I don't enjoy school.. No friends and I have a boyfriend who Ive been with for 3 years and even though 90 percent of the time we are happy. He's cheated on me twice. And I feel like I am just not good enough for anyone. Not for my mom to want me around, and not listen to me. My grandparents don't care. My boyfriend as sweet as he can be sometimes just doesn't realize what he does to me. I try and talk to him but it hasn't worked too much. I'm just so tired. And want it over sometimes. I cry myself to sleep a lot now. |

My parents get very jealous over each other about me, and both of my parents are kind of emotionally unstable recently..... So how can I explain to my dad that I don't want to see the movie with him because I want to see it with my mom instead? Hearing this makes me feel like a horrible son because I go to a private school, and these daily struggles could easily be relieved if I change scools. My dad is the one who says I can t change schools because I m so fortunate to go to this private school. See, I wouldn t want to leave if he would stop being so damn lazy and actually worked to support our family, so my mom could actually have money to treat herself. Don t get me wrong he works, but he could easily get another job making literally 10 times more with his actual college degree; he had a job making much more than his current job but "the paper work was too hard" so he quit and went back to his old job. In my eyes I see him as a hypocrite because he tells me to work hard, whenever I hear those words from him I roll my eyes and say to myself "yeah I ll work just as hard as you" so with that being said a more entailed question would be, should I talk to him and tell him how I feel? Should tell him that he should treat my mom better than he does? Well obviously not EVERY thing, because there's too much to count, but here's what I have written down. Also, if anyone could give suggestions on how to deal with anxiety/depression/stress I'd greatly appreciate it. "He calls me a fatass, Otis, emo, autistic, says that my paintings look like worthless cartoons and my writing looks like emo bullshit. Someone else said my writing is emo bullshit some time ago. I'm trying to forgive him for that, but my brother keeps repeating it to my ears so I can't forgive or forget about it. He doesn't let me go into my own room. He squeezes my stomach hard with his fingers, saying how much fat I have. I'm sitting in church, and he's recording me and making fun of me, and posting the videos on the internet. He records me when I'm crying, makes fun of me and posts it on the internet. We spend money on vacation to have fun. And instead, he's berating and abusing me, making me wish I was back at school. He HATES his current job and is always frustrated. He often talks about getting a new job and making our lives better but then he has no follow through. I don't understand. He's a very hard worker and knows that he could do better. I have become his emotional punching bag almost everyday when he complains about his job. I know it's normal to complain about work but it's getting out of hand. I guess I just feel like his family isn't worth the effort to even look for a new job. We've discussed this on numerous occasions and he agrees with me! He simply doesn't do anything about it. Does anyone have any idea on how to deal with this kind of attitude? She is extremely negative, she always told me growing up I cant do this or I cant do that. She complains about everything. And she is an extreme hypocrite. I was going to go down to the deli and asked if she wanted to come with me. She said yes. As i m going down our street Im doing 15mph, she starts screaming at the top of her lungs saying slow down. Like WTF! Another thing is Im in the process of starting a business. All she does is tell me how its not going to work, and only way to make a successful business is to grow up rich and get lucky. Then shes always "right" and always the "winner" in any argument. Then she says stuff just to bother me like, call me chubby, when I eat healthy and go to gym 5 days a week. She doesn t eat healthy and has never been to a gym! I have voiced my frustration to him over the years, which does nothing. He doesn't know anything about me and has never tried to connect with me. The only times he talks to me are for doing chores or bad advice. He says he loves me, but he never ever shows it. Throughout the past year I have emailed him heartfelt notes, saying I completely forgive him and that it's not weak to show emotion, which did nothing. A few weeks later he actually kicked me out because I shared my hurting heart with him. All I did was talk in a passionate way. He actually has called the police to come into the house because I'm "harassing" him. He always says I "bully them" when I talk about heart issues, yet he yells and swears at me, kicks me out. Anytime I show emotion like this, he kicks me out. My Dad has told me that he views his role as a parent as someone "to prepare you for life in the real world. I'm not supposed to be your friend" Many people have told me that he acts this way because he was raised this way; I was raised the same way he was mostly, yet I'm able to show affection easily.. If I had a son, we would be best friends and share intimacy all the time! You think he would want to reverse the curse and be the best Dad ever. Last month mark and my dad just invest some money to buy a lot of 16 old bikes. Mark sold 4 of them on his shop and kept all the money with him. He not even informed my dad and used this money for buying bikes for his shop. When my dad came to know about this he just ask for the money but mark just promised to give next day. He refused to give money nextday and just promised again. My dad is very angry with him. He just abuse mark all the day. Due to my college vacations I m going to my shop these days. Today my dad told me to went mark and ask for money. So I did. He again refused. I just replied rudely. We had an argument. I was not in my senses, so argument just continue for a long period. He told that my attitude is completely new and awkward. And again continued the argument. Now it was time to shut the shop. So he shut the door and was ready to go. Then I came into my senses. I confess him that I m really sorry for my wierd attitude and not intented to have this type of argument. He said its ok I hv also treated u like a younger brother and not like a competitor and its good to have these type of examplary arguments which are very important to lead good personal life. My mom gave up her job when I was born. A couple years ago they had a huge fight and my dad cut my mom off from his bank account, only giving her small portions of money a month for bills and stuff. He claimed that she kept frivolously spending money. So she took up a job in our school district, but then sometimes she would have to leave us alone or have our dad do something for us. He always got pissed from this saying that now she just works to be away from him and never takes care of the family, when he doesn't do anything except work. This time it was over something stupid, my dad always looks where the grass is greener and my mom put her foot down saying that we couldn't move for a third time, we would lose more money than we make. Whenever they argue, they always end up taking it out on me and my sister, asking us to chose sides, punishing us when we don't agree with either of them, etc. I'm just sort of a mess right now because of this and just don't know what to do to stop them fighting or yelling at us when we don't do anything wrong. |

I have a lot of chore money, and I figured if I could slip over to the arts and crafts department next to the pho place we occasionally eat at, I could get the materials needed to make one. But the problem is, my parents still treat me like a child, and think I can't do anything on my own. I have done a lot of things in my own, from building a computer to setting up a modem for my uncle. I am also 13 years old. Back on topic, three days ago, we went to the pho place next to Jo-Ann's, and after I was done eating, I told my parents I was going over to the arts and crafts department to buy something. At first they wanted to be there with me, but after some convincing, they let me go, and I went and bought all the materials with my own money. The next day, I spent HOURS on my head base, and I was about halfway done before I had to go to bed. I had the top jaw, cheeks, and eyebrows done. Yesterday, when I got home from school, I continued to work on my head base. But now my parents found out, and have COMPLETELY taken over my project and made it theirs. I keep telling them I can do it, and that it was originally MY project, but they won't let me make my own fursuit! They don't even KNOW HOW to make one! Now today, when I woke up, I saw the head they call,"finished," and it looks like an ABOMINATION. The pieces of fur are GLUED together, not SEWN, the fur symmetry is WAY off, the lower jaw is askew to one side, and the colors are done with a cheap marker, not airbrushed. Not ONLY have they taken over my project, but now have completely RUINED it! What do I do!? |

We are going to be home alone for the next 3 days because my mom is in NYC for her job. She got her period for the first time today and she didn't know how to handle it. I told her to go into my room and go in my desk drawer and get an overnight pad and tape it on the bottom of her underwear. She ran in fast got the pad with only her panties on and went back to the bathroom. Everything was fine afterwards, then I went up to my room to get my phone charger. When my sister went in my room to get the pad, I guess she leaked all over my white carpet and my light blue bedspread. There are blood stains everywhere. I don't want to embarrass her by telling her she leaked and to change her dirty undies, but I'm grossed out and I don't know how to clean this up. What do I do??? |

I have voiced my frustration to him over the years, which does nothing. He doesn't know anything about me and has never tried to connect with me. The only times he talks to me are for doing chores or bad advice. He says he loves me, but he never ever shows it. Throughout the past year I have emailed him heartfelt notes, saying I completely forgive him and that it's not weak to show emotion, which did nothing. A few weeks later he actually kicked me out because I shared my hurting heart with him. All I did was talk in a passionate way. He actually has called the police to come into the house because I'm "harassing" him. He always says I "bully them" when I talk about heart issues, yet he yells and swears at me, kicks me out. Anytime I show emotion like this, he kicks me out. My Dad has told me that he views his role as a parent as someone "to prepare you for life in the real world. I'm not supposed to be your friend" Many people have told me that he acts this way because he was raised this way; I was raised the same way yet I'm able to show affection easily. If I had a son, we would be best friends and share intimacy all the time! You think he would want to reverse the curse and be the best Dad ever. The past few years have been incredibly lonely, yet he never drew close to me... he treats me like an employee. Why is he this way with me? |

My parents hit me for silly reasons, when I ask them for buying me a chocolate, they would shout and tell me, its waste of money. Long back, I think in 3rd or 4th grade, I don't remember the reason but my mom, hit me with those wickets used in cricket, and it hurt. Real bad. I used to get hit by belts and hangers back in 4th and 5th grade. I'm now in 7th, my parents continue hitting me. Dad, he doesn't give a ****. I cut myself using a knife, and I couldn't feel the pain. My mom doesn't let me touch any electronic, she won't buy me anything, while on the other hand my brother gets everything. This sounds so lame, but I cry everyday. My dad hits me, mom hits me. I'm a girl and my dad does hit me too. Please help me, I cried while typing this all out and remembering everything they do to me. |

About 35/40 minutes ago, I was revising for that and brother turned the music on full blast. He knew I was revising. I tried hard to not listen to it, but it couldn't because it was that loud. I was hoping he would turn it off in the next 10 minutes, but he didn't. So I went downstairs to ask him to turn it off but he refused. I kept begging because I was revising, but all he said was "f**k off". I then unplugged his stereo while he was dancing/not looking and he started shouting at me. He said I had no right to turn it off. He kept shouting at me for a few minutes until I got very angry. I replied while angry, "I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO TURN IT OFF BECAUSE I'M REVISING YOU F**KING STUPID C*NT. NOW F**KING KEEP IT OFF YOU F**KING B*TCH!" I had 2 minutes of silence, but he turned his music on and it was even louder than before. I then stormed upstairs and starting shouting at him but he ignored me. That's when mum came upstairs. I was hoping she would defend me because I told everything what happened, but she started shouting at ME like I was the one in the wrong, not my brother. I was watching TV, a while ago. But as she came downstairs, she made two comments. The first one was "Can't believe, you're awake this hour." The second one was "Can I have the TV? This is usually the time that I have it." She's making this all about her and her needs. I got so frustrated, but didn't want to show it. I just put the remote on the other couch, said that I'm not going to argue about this, and went upstairs. She said, she that it's not a big deal. But I muttered a whatever and went up to my room. This is not what I want to deal with in the morning. She quit her job and still lives at home with me and our parents. When she goes to her boyfriend's and stays there for a few days, that's usually when I feel safe to have the TV. But when she's home, she acts more bossy and is so rude to me. She tells me to do chores, but our parents always have to tell her that it's their job to be the parents not her. Sometimes, my sister forgets to pay her car payment and "asks" my mom to help her. When Dad asks if she paid her car payment, she would lie and say that she did. But my dad always checks and when she lies, he gets really mad. I'm so mad at her, because she's making the world revolve around her. Plus her birthday is next week and now, I feel that she doesn't deserve anything from me. Because she lies to our parents and bosses me around. She even tried to threaten to lock me out of the house and punch/kick me last year. She doesn't have a job right now. I just want her to move out of the house and live with her bf. As much as I love her, I rather have her live somewhere else and our relationship will improve that way. We also have two TVs and she stakes her "claim" by acting like the downstairs one is hers and hers only, but our family shares it. |
| Question: Why is my mom always so loud? Posted: 10 Jun 2015 07:57 AM PDT I was asleep this morning, when all I heard was constant yelling that annoyed me. I thought I was dreaming it, because my room is in the back of the house and my door was closed, but I woke up, and the sounds was my mom yelling on the top of her lungs at my niece. Not in an abusive way, in fact, my niece was yelling at her as well (at two years old, hmf.) Anyways, it kept me up for about two hours, then I went back asleep. I woke again to my mom slamming the door and screaming at me to wake up, and that it isn't healthy to sleep all day. In the nicest way, I told her that her yelling kept me up, but she told me that it wasn't her fault and she was sick and tired of no body listening.. (I wonder why?) Anyways.. Whenever I try talking heart-to-heart with her, it ends with her crying and talking about the faults of our lives, and the stresses.. And it hurts to see her so upset, but when I try to explain it's hard too, and her yelling at us it makes life harder as well, she goes and yells at me for knowing nothing because I'm a fourteen year old, and to stop acting like an adult.. Any advice? I feel like this is a one sided argument.. And I want my mom back, the one who didn't yell all the time, like a few years back.. Why did she change? Why won't she change back..? Or even.. listen to us? |

I guess something dramatic happened before I was born because my dad is not on my birth certificate, so "legally" speaking I don't have a dad. A month before my mom died some man came to my house and was like, "Hey I'm your father". The thing is I don't want to get to know him, It's not that I hate him. I just don't want him in my life. When I was 14, I stayed at his place for a week to have some bonding time. One of the nicest people I ever met but he was so smothering. He tried to get me to eat a lot because I would always turn down my food, I have a really small appetite when I'm around people that make me uncomfortable. He thought I was anorexic and tried to "help me" which made me mad. And he tries to father me but how are you gonna father, when I barely know who the **** you are! By blood you are my father but not in my heart. I like that o don't have him in my life, it feels less complicated. Unfortunately, everyone in my family things I'm a huge as5hole for this. I've been taking them for the passed 4 days and the line is definitely getting darker.. But is this a positive result? The one on top is from 12 hours ago. The one on the bottom is from 10 mins ago. It's not as dark as the control line.. Which would lead me to believe it's negative.. But according to my temperature , I should've ovulated yesterday into today. And according to my CM I should've ovulation days ago.. So I can't tell if this is confirming ovulation now or not.. |
