The point is that I get asked out a fair bit, I'd say maybe averaging twice a month from a variety of people both at my college and random people I meet around town. I go on these dates too sometimes, and I usually enjoy myself, but then I can't bring myself to show much physical attraction let alone kissing them or even anything further than a friendly hug at the end. (I usually end up "breaking up" with said guy after a few dates.) I feel like it's such a huge commitment and I don't want to just kiss anyone because again, the opportunity to do so at a club has come up many times. But the first guy I ever "kissed" lied to me and only told me much later that he had a gf. I don't know if that's why I'm terrified to put myself out there and begin the process of getting physical with someone without the help of alcohol, but I'm starting to get lonely and I really want a committed relationship (especially since my sister has been with her boyfriend for almost two years already). My past relationships in highschool usually ended shortly because I would get bored. I know that sounds terrible but I eventually ended those relationships because I didn't think it was fair to the guy. I thought maybe I'd grow out of it but I haven't. I meet guys and I like them for the first couple of weeks(a few months at most) and we text and flirt and such and then I just get bored again. I feel like they don't relate to me or something or I'll just get bored with what they have to say or because we text so often, I just get tired of it. :/ What can I do to change this and does anyone else have this problem? I don't know why I'm like this and I feel at this rate, I'll never find a boyfriend or lose my virginity. Actually, I've stopped looking for relationships too because I just know I'll get bored so there's no point. :/ |

I allow him to talk about a lot of topics that i generally don't entertain either in my own head or from others such as politics or religious beliefs. He pretty much thinks all but his religion are worthless ( who doesn't think that way?). I am feeling so ashamed that i let him talk to me like that. I still have a crush on him ( limerent) but the good news is he leaves the job this week for a new job. I am happy I won't have any distraction at work but I also want to take the opportunity to make him realize that I talk about specific topics just with him since these topics are dear to him and I want him to feel comfortable around me. |
