Question: How do I make a relationship with my future Sister-in-Law? Posted: 04 Jun 2015 06:02 PM PDT My fiancé and I have been together for years, and we are getting married in three months. My future SIL has never been open to talking to me- I don't usually even get a "Hi" or "Bye" in response to greetings. On the day my man proposed, she was upset that he didn't take HER out to dinner and tell her and ask HER first. My fiancé and his sister are estranged- if he asked her to go to dinner with him, she would refuse and accuse him of having an angle. Beyond this, the night we got engaged, we stopped by his mom's house to tell her about the evening. She begged us to wait until his sister came home from work (she is 22). When she saw my car, she kept driving and called the house saying that if we did not leave. She would not come home. Since then, she has been an absolute terror. She is doing everything she can to make my fiancé and their mom turn against me. We are having a very small wedding, 22 guests. She has been so upset by this that my fiancé gave her the option to not come to the wedding. (Mind you- it is just the two of them in the family.) My fiancé talked to her, and she said that it is my fault we do not get along, because as an outsider, I should be trying to get in to the family. I was raised to be respectful of people- I am not going to force a conversation if she won't even look at me or say "hello". I am at a loss. This is a huge day, and the beginning of our lives together, and I don't want this to hurt him because of the friction his sister is creating. HELP. |

Question: Men what are your thoughts on elopement? How can I tell my fiancé that's what I want? Posted: 04 Jun 2015 12:21 PM PDT My fiancé proposed to me a few months ago however we haven't begun planning as we are still on college. Besides that fact that weddings are expensive I have just never liked the idea of having one. I would really prefer to just elope at city hall with two witnesses and have it be done. I joked about eloping the other day and he laughed and said sure lets do it. But I'm not sure if he only reacted calmly because I was joking. Both his parents passed away several years ago and he isn't close to much of his family other than his brother who I can ask to be a witness. I really don't care how my family will react but I don't want to upset him. I know every guy is different and I can only know for sure by asking him but what's your opinion? Would you be okay with eloping or do you see the wedding ceremony as a big deal? Thanks. |
Posted: 04 Jun 2015 12:08 PM PDT We are looking for tunes that are not traditional but usually something more modern, like tunes from say the 1960's through today's music that is currently being produced on today's typical Christian Music Radio. If possible, instrumentals are preferred. We will NOT be playing the traditional "Here Comes the Bride" or "Wedding March" None of the traditional tunes will be used. We need: 15 mins of Prelude music Entrance 1 song music for pouring sand Exit music Any help is greatly appreciated. |
Question: Will my Indian boyfriend propose or leave me? Posted: 04 Jun 2015 09:21 AM PDT I am in a relationship with him for 2 years. He is a chocolate boy, a cutie, and my mom likes him a lot too. He came to my country for doing his doctoral degree. He was always shy and it was I who asked him out after I got tired of seeing him staring at me all the time. He was so shy to even have sex with me and I had to make the move for that as well. He once told me that he loves me more than anyone else. He has never hurt my heart and have always been loving, caring, and kind. He never gets angry too and he was there for me to wipe off my tears when I was sad, and always did his best to make me happy. But now he tells me that he has got a job in the US and is leaving England in a month. oncould see that he was very sad when he told this to me but hasn't asked me to marry him. I'm scared of losing him and want him in my life. Should I be the one to ask him to marry me. Will he agree? I feel so depressed if he may just forget me :((. What do I do now Hey not racist. By chocolate boy I meant a cutie like Justin bieber. He is almost as light as me by the way |

Question: Is it wrong to attend a bridal shower with no intention of going to the wedding? Posted: 04 Jun 2015 05:47 AM PDT A friend of mine is getting married this fall, and I have been invited to both her bridal shower and wedding. The problem is, I can't stand her fiance or the majority of their friends. The ceremony and reception are going to be small, intimate affairs, so just avoiding those I'm not fond of isn't really an option. Most of those people, however, will not be at the shower. Should I a) suck it up, be supportive, and go to both, b) decline both invitations, or c) attend the shower, but send my regrets for the wedding? |

Question: How should a wedding gift be given if you couldn't attend the wedding? Posted: 04 Jun 2015 02:56 AM PDT I couldn't attend my colleagues wedding, plus I've only been in this job for 6 months, so I'd like to set things up nicely with a gift. She's on her honeymoon at the moment, but when she gets back: Should it be given in person? Left on her desk at work? Or sent to her mothers house (no one has her new address yet)? Thanks! |

Question: Why do women still wear white wedding gowns? Posted: 04 Jun 2015 01:09 AM PDT If memory serves, a white gown symbolized a pure woman (virgin) but you have people who are obviously not virgins like Kim Kardashian wearing white on her wedding day. Does the white wedding dress mean anything anymore? I mean if you're gonna be honest, don't wear white at your wedding if you're not a virgin. |
Question: How Might I Encourage Fiancee to Gain Weight? Posted: 04 Jun 2015 12:10 AM PDT My fiancee and I will be married in slightly over one month. Recently I have noticed his eagerness has waned, and he seems less enthusiastic like he was shortly after he proposed just over a year ago. Some of my close friends think he is having second thoughts because of a physical difference. I am 215 pounds, and genetically likely to gain a lot more weight because my mom is over 250 pounds. My younger sister is already 240 pounds and growing larger. My fiancee was about 170 pounds when he proposed, but with the help of my mom and my Italian cooking, he is now closing in on 185 pounds. Still, my friends fear that his slimmer build is causing him to have second thoughts that perhaps smaller bodied women will find him attractive, and that he may be making a mistake marrying me. This may cause him to hesitate, which I do not want as I have planned the most perfect wedding and my mom convinced my dad to allow us to live with them after we are married. Recently though, my fiancee has been reluctant to eat as much and insists on exercising more often than we agreed was necessary for him. What suggestions would you have to convince him that he should eat more and exercise less? These suggestions might help, but I am worried that if he feels he has too much of a choice in the matter, the marriage may get off to a poor start. I could try losing weight, but it wouldn't work because my mom is over 250 pounds and that's why I will be growing larger, like I said my sister is about 240 pounds and growing heavier quite fast, but she hasn't tried to lose weight like I have. We are moving into my parents house after we get married because he has found it difficult to hold a steady job, and we can't put off the wedding because everything has been arranged perfectly and it will be the wedding I always dreamed of having |

Question: Are there other women besides me who do NOT EVER want a man because I don't trust men? Posted: 03 Jun 2015 10:45 PM PDT I've had many hardships with men in my life, from family members to partners and tbh, I do NOT EVER want a boyfriend nor husband in my lie. I'm happy being single and a virgin for life. I don't trust men anymore. I like feeling safe and secure as a single woman. I'm a WGTOW. Are there other females like me? |
Question: Lost my marriage license two days after it was issued.? Posted: 03 Jun 2015 10:07 PM PDT My boyfriend and I are getting married soon. So we went to the Daley Center in Chicago to apply for a marriage license. I was given the document to keep safe until the wedding on Saturday but being as disorganized as I am I'm pretty sure I mixed it up with some office junk papers which I gave to my assistant to shred. I KNOW it's bad! Now we have to go back but I don't want to apply all over again and pay the fee....we just got this license Monday! Is there anything I can do to just get another copy? I know it's valid for 60 days...HELP! |
Posted: 03 Jun 2015 09:48 PM PDT My fiancé and I will be getting married in December and recently he told me that he would like to invite his ex. They were engaged right out of high school but broke up only a year into college. It's been a few years since they broke it off but we still saw her around a lot since we are from a small town. Anyway I asked why he wanted her there and he just said it's his way of showing her that it is completely over. I guess it makes a little sense since she is always trying to get back with him and constantly shows up at my house. Still I would rather not have her there in case she decides to cause a scene. I told him how I felt and he admitted that he already gave her an invitation and now I'm unsure what to do. What would you do? |
