Question: Jared's Extended Service Plan for engagement rings question? Posted: 31 Jul 2016 08:18 PM PDT I purchased the warranty with it which I guess they refer to as the "extended service plan". This means I get free ring resizing, prong replacement, etc. if anything were to happen. But then I got another brochure titled "lifetime diamond and color gemstone guarantee" pamphlet which says you HAVE to get your diamond inspected through Jared's every 6 months in order for it to remain in effect. So does that mean if I don't go once every 6 months to Jared's to get the diamond inspected, I won't be given the benefits of the extended service plan that I purchased for things on the actual ring whenever I want to go in for cleaning it, etc.? That's bogus if so. People actually go back every 6 months? What happens if you don't? And also, how when can I use the benefits of the extended service plan? Can it only be during the once every 6 months for the diamond inspection or can it be any day I want....as often as I want? |

Question: Wedding etiquette! Is what I did considered rude? if so, please help!? Posted: 31 Jul 2016 10:59 AM PDT Last summer, an acquaintance from my hometown phoned me to tell me of her wedding in August of 2016 and to "save the date." She then said to be on the look out for the wedding invitation. This past Jan of 2016, I was in my last year of college, trying to find jobs, planning a grad trip to Europe, etc. I also had already decided early on that I was not going to attend the wedding. This past March, I received the invitation and it said to RSVP by May 6th and if they had not heard from you by then, they'd consider you not coming. I had final exams end of April, my graduation in early May, and then was leaving for Europe 1 week later. Anyways, the last semester was VERY stressful. I was taking a required class in which I was in danger of not passing. If I did not pass this class, I would not be able to graduate on time, and with plans already made and family coming to celebrate, I was just an overall emotional wreck. B/c of all this, I did not end up responding to the invitation saying I was NOT going to come. To be honest, I forgot in the midst of everything that was happening to me at that time. Fast forward to today and the wedding is in a week. I am home vising my mom and she has said to me many times that what I did (not telling her that I wasn't coming) was rude and that she is probably mad at me. I guess my question is, is what I did rude? If so, what can I do? Although everything turned out well (I graduated) I feel bad. Should I still send a gift or a card? Thanks! I know I posted this in a different section, I just wanted more answers! Please let me clarify: I am NOT planning on coming last minute/showing up, etc. nor do I want to. I just feel bad for not saying "NO" by the RSVP date, that's all. Thanks! Called and apologized for forgetting to not RSVP and wished them the best...thanks guys thanks Jenny Lynne! |
Question: There was a fight at my wedding? Posted: 31 Jul 2016 09:47 AM PDT Warning: im not a troll this was just insane. I had a wedding with 199 adults and 44 kids. One 14 year old, Eddy told my 3 year old cousin, Marco to stop being a little ****. And all. hell. broke. loose. My soon to be hubby ran up to the 14 year old and said "you and your parents get the hell outta here!" , his father took egg salad and chewed it then spit it on me, so my hubby screamed for him to get out and he refused, so i was prepared to call the cops. next thing i know a 22 year old (his cousin) runs up to me and dumps a pitcher of water ALL OVER ME, so my wedding dress was stained with water and egg salad. Then someone screamed "FIGHT!" and my hubby was carried outside and thrown in a fountain. then my friend whos 38 went up to my 77 year old mom and said "how could u raise such a piece of ****?" and my mom punched her. Then my dad got on the microphone and screamed "EVERYBODY OUT!" AND EVERYONE LEFT!!! MY WEDDING WAS RUINED. MY HUBBY THEN CURSED MY DAD OUT! Then this guy i used to date, Francississeeo and my boyfriend Mr. Artoofart-McBeezborsht started fighting and everyone was cursing and yellig for 30 minutes before everyone just left. What do i do now? This was ruined!!! |
Posted: 31 Jul 2016 06:51 AM PDT Hey guys, I'm getting married soon. I have a really awesome road trip planned (I'm very comfortable In matters of wealth, so I spoiled on it). Tell me what you think of my plan. So, first, I hired a driver to take us on a road trip from New York to Florida. (The car we're driving in is a SUV convertible, so it has comfort and is a convertible.) Ten, after spending a couple days in Florida, we will fly (first class) to London (the nightlife is awesome there), and then, we will fly to Paris. From there, we will drive down to the French Rivera, and from their, we will fly to Bora Bora, were we will share a week. How does it sound? |

Question: Superstition about groom seeing you in your wedding dress being bad lucn? Posted: 31 Jul 2016 01:00 AM PDT I was wonder if the superstition that if your groom sees you in your wedding dress it s bad luck would count if you were just out looking at dresses with him and trying them on to get an idea of one that you and him would like ~late night thoughts |
