My husband and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary next year. We got married in Vegas (no it wasn't a spontaneous drunken decision lol) and we never had an actual wedding. We chose Vegas because it was a fun and cheap and we had both been previously married and didn't want the fuss of planning a large wedding. Now that we are reaching our first marriage milestone I think it would be wonderful to celebrate with our family and have the experience with each other. Any way, I'm just looking for suggestions from people who have done this. I've been told that it isn't supposed to be like a wedding. I want to go all out though with a DJ and photos and etc. I don't want to be tacky though lol. I don't want to have bridesmaids and a wedding dress. I just want a fun party with our loved ones! I don't want gifts either.

Or does the bride and her bridesmaids usually take those after the ceremony? Tbh it would be much easier to take the ones of the bride and her bridesmaids before the ceremony :)

My boyfriends best friend is getting married in a couple weeks, I was not invited to the wedding and it is not a plus one wedding..I do occasionally talk to/ Hang out with the bride and groom, and they recently donated money to my father when he was sick..I picked up a card that I'm going to send them just to congratulate them, but I was thinking about throwing in a gift card to a nice restaurant by them..should I? I just don't want to make them feel bad for not inviting me to the wedding and if so how much would you say?
