Question: Incandescent lights indoor for reception? Posted: 26 Aug 2016 05:04 PM PDT So I m getting married in June and I have a whole bunch of incandescent outdoor Christmas lights, the icicle ones. And I was wanting to use them to hang on the roof and also for my head table back drop. But is this a bad idea!? I would hate to start a fire at my wedding!! |

Posted: 26 Aug 2016 02:37 AM PDT Hi, I m a 26yo female getting married in a few months and one of my best male friends is engaged for one year but together for three years now to his fiancée. I ve met her a couple of times but last year me, my friend, my fiancé and my friends fiancée went out drinking and I was with my male friend and put glow sticks down his belt and then his fiancée went crazy over it and I have no idea why. Since then we made up and she hounds after me wanting to go to cinema etc but I always say no as I feel she is taking my friend away from me. I don t want her at my hen night or my wedding. Is this fair? She has now asked me to be one of her bridesmaids along with her two best friends and sister in law. I said I'd think about it. What do you think? |
Question: Two year wedding anniversary and the holidays? Posted: 24 Aug 2016 04:12 AM PDT My wedding anniversary is coming up on November 17th and we are celebrating two wonderful years! My husband and I though have been thinking, and I feel like whatever gifts are given then should be apart of Christmas as well. We also turn around and celebrate 4 years of being together on valentines day as well, and then both our birthdays fall in the first week of April. It gets a bit tiresome always trying to find a gift that tops the last. After so long, I am finding it harder to really find items that will excite and surprise him. Hes newly obsessed with hockey and boxing, so I got tickets for the game, which is right around our anniversary, a customer Jersey, and a ever-last 100 lb standing heavy bag, and gloves and wraps, all while trying to uphold the tradition of Cotton as the 2nd year symbol. Any comments or suggestions would be wonderful!!! Wow the hate is strong with this group lol. calm down ya'll, we are selfish, selfish people who love to give each other gifts, and love material objects, there is nothing wrong with that so hush up. Also we would LOVE to go on vacations and trips but I work two full time jobs, and he works a full time job and goes to school full time so any we just cant find the time to take off and do it. and also let me say as two mid 20's completely independent, adults I am proud we have are able to do things like this for each other. That we can afford it. I am not spending a couple grand on him in presents, and they are things he usually does need or want. I simply wanted to know it some couples condense the holidays and anniversaries or birthdays instead of doing the individual planning and gift buying? |
