Question: I made a fake account and I want to stop? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 04:51 PM PDT On IG I made an account but then I've gotten really lonely, bored, and kind of jealous so I made another account and said that was my bestfriend when I was really myself and I wasn't being careful so I responded to someone on 1st as the 2nd account and now I think they're suspicious. I also want to stop because I don't know what will happen if my phone gets taken and neither one of "us" post for a few days. Both of the accounts have loyal followers and they'll get suspicious fast. How do I get rid of the 2nd account without anyone suspecting that it was just me? Please don't say that I was being stupid or it's lame I actually want answers to help me.

Question: Have you ever work with a difficult co-worker? What should I do.? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 04:17 PM PDT We sit next to each other and don't speak. Without going into extreme details, they are the most manipulative and shady person I've ever met. The best way to describe them is think of an elementary school teacher's pet but approaching middle age. They are nosey! Goes around looking on everyone computer to see what they're doing. Fishing for compliments and a know-it-all) I want to move but the thing is - no matter where I go - they will find some way to put their nose into my business. Last year I confronted the person, and it got a little better, but it didn't last long. We are not friends. I'm a patient person but very annoyed and it might become physical. What should I do? Advice from people who'd been in similar situations is appreciated.

Question: Isn't she being shady? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 03:40 PM PDT Long story short, i have a friend who has quite low self confidence sometimes so when i invited her last week to the bar i usually go to, she was a bit sore that i had a few guys ask for my number. One of the guys shared a taxi home with us and two days later i found out that she added him to facebook, as i was the first to get out of the car. I also found out he'd been messaging her asking if he had my right number because his messages werent going through. She only told me this after i mentioned a few times that i was surprised i hadnt heard from him. So in short she knew i wanted to chat to him and him to me but kept their correspondence a secret from me. We chatted very briefly and he asked me out but i saw today he blocked me! i think she might have told him i picked up a few numbers that night . Tonight she told me that she's going to that bar i brought her to - just to dance...alone.. She didnt want to invite me for whatever reason and is likely meeting said guy . Does this seem shady to anyone else??
Question: Is she worth keeping as a friend? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 03:13 PM PDT Alright so we're good friends, however I'm the one always texting her. I don't text her often but when I do I always offer support and try to make her depression go away. Lately she hasn't been responding to my texts she just looks at them and never responds. She's been talking to my other friend though. She keeps on giving me the silent treatment school starts in 3 weeks. I asked if if she's alright she looked at it but never replied. I was worried about her and asked if she was okay but she just made me more worried by not replying. Appearently she's fine since she was talking to my other friend. I asked my other friend and she told me that she must be busy (obviously not because she had time to my text my other friend instead of texting me) Also she's on holiday's abroad. It's not an excuse because I'm on my world trip at the moment and I have texted all of my friends despite being busy because I care about everyone a lot. Should I give her the silent treatment when school starts? What should I do she already made me mad twice. We had a small fight earlier about 1 month ago when I wanted to style my hair a different way and I said I thought black people were school and she called me a racist. Is she worth keeping as a friend? what should I do? please help me I don't know what to do ): I meant to say that black people are "cool" I wanted to get box braids for my hair because I really liked their style and thought that it was really impressive and nice.

Question: Do people hate me because I'm popular? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 02:25 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm an 8th grade boy, and last Wednesday (august 10) was my first day. I've always been pretty popular, because I'm the small forward on this basketball team. As if now I have a group of friends if like 15 people (which isnt even that much). Sometimes, I give suggestions to some people, like that they should buy new clothes, or shouldn't say something, or that they should loose weight. I don't see how any of that is rude. I'm actully trying to help them out. They seem to interpret this as bullying, but I'm just trying to be helpful. If they are jealous, maybe the should be more outgoing? That will help them a lot more than hating me.
Question: 26 year old hanging out with teenagers? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 02:11 PM PDT There is a buddy of mine I graduated with that still acts like he's in high school. He's basically a 26 year old emo kid that never grew up. He still dresses the same with the emo hair and stuff and that's fine but what isn't fine is the fact that he he doesn't work, never attempted college, still lives with his parents and still hangs out with high school kids. Every weekend he posts photos on social media of him drinking and smoking pot with 16 year olds. Is this weird? I'm really concerned for this dude
Posted: 13 Aug 2016 02:07 PM PDT So, I am a 21 year old guy, and I am attending college. In town, especially in bars, there are a bunch of "manly men" (read: drunk, ugly steroid poppers with no style), and they keep telling me that I need to become a man. I don't want to become a hypersexual ape like them, so I'll pass. They don't understand any of the finer things in life like books and music. And they also want to fight everyone. I've done hapkido (martial art), and I know that fighting and harming others (even animals, and that's why I'm a vegetarian). Two days ago, one of them attacked me, but I just grabbed his wrist and did a leg sweep. He then started yelling that I was a pussy. Honestly, he should have been more grateful that I left it at that. And besides, who do you think girls like better, the hypersexual ape who treats woman badly, or an intelligent man with a sense of style and good hygiene? And besides, who cares about fixing things, there are people for that. Also, I hate how violent they are. All lives matter, so hunting is barbaric. So are guns. If you want to defend yourself, learn a martial art. Don't you hate "manly men" too?
Question: Why am I so nerveous to go to the movies with my (guy) friend? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 02:07 PM PDT So we e just good friends but we ve never done anything by ourselves. I m trying to make myself unnerves because we re just good friend. Can someone please explain?
Question: Is that very hard to make friends at work? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 01:35 PM PDT For some kind of reason, I am 5~6 years older than typical college students, so make friends is hard enough at college for me. I am so afraid that i will make no friends in the future once I graduated.
Question: Is it easy to keep an online friend in college? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 01:31 PM PDT
Posted: 13 Aug 2016 01:25 PM PDT My friend who is like a mom to me and a VERY big support to me, was burned severe 2nd degree burns on her lower arm and lower legs. I still really need her but she is out of commission for now. How long can I expect her to not be there for me? Yes, I know I sound TERRIBLE, but that's why I'm asking here- instead of asking HER or her family. I want to be a support to her, not a burden in this time. But I still REALLY need her. I have very bad abandonment and some social issues. I was JUST starting to work on my other friendships. It looks overwhelming. Does anyone know how soon burns like that heal/she will be able to be normal to me again?

Question: How do u uninvite someone to a party? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 01:01 PM PDT So I recently had a sleepover with my "friend." And I realized I don t want her at my birthday party. She called my best friend on my phone and called her a slut. She texted my other contacts saying rude stuff pretending to be me. And she doesn t know I have a problem with her. Whats an excuse I can make so she can t come, or a way of saying she s uninvited nicely..?
Question: Please read.... Should we tell her? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:46 PM PDT I live in a small town, everyone knows everyone. There's this one mom that I know is lonely which would explain for the crazy amounts of useless, leaves you scratching your head chatter on FB. But when you're around her in person she's very controlling of the conversation, very one sided without an ounce of appreciation if you help her out when she's in a bind with her daughter. No one wants to be her friend which makes it hard for her daughter because she doesn't have friends outside of school. If a friend is over she takes to FB and complains about how horrible the child is which then makes her speculate about how horrible the parents are at raising them. I've often thought about writing her an anonymous letter telling her this and suggesting she tone it down before her daughter realizes why she has no friends and loses her relationship with her mom. What do you think?
Question: Why are people like this? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:46 PM PDT Ok I'm a 16yo girl(high school sophomore) and I pretty much have no friends at school. I have my friends outside of school( they don't go to my school) and I love them! But for some reason, I guess people at school don't like me. Most people at school think I'm a quiet loner, which is completely not true. Honestly I don't like anyone at my school, they're all stuck up assholes that think they're the best thing ever. So I prefer to just stay by myself and not get involved with all they're stupid drama and ****. One thing I cannot stand is how people make assumptions about "loners". This one girl started taking to me one day and she just says, why are you so quiet?? I said something along the lines of, because I can lol, then she says, quiet people are psychopaths, you must be a serial killer. Ugh! That pissed me off so bad..first of all I have friends, I'm not quiet, and I'm definitely not a serial killer! I can't stand people like that and everybody at my school is like that. You can't just assume that just because someone sticks to their self and is quiet. It's sad how people treat shy people, as they're usually the nicest, funniest people(not shy just an observation) anyways sorry for the length of this post, but thanks if you read it all! Opinions on this??
Question: He seems to demean me and my accomplishments? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:33 PM PDT We have been together for a year and a half now. He criticizes me because I do not have my own place yet (I'm in my twenties ). He has two kids by two different women in two different states. He is currently job searching and has been living off his savings. His savings is running low so he is planning on staying with one of the moms until he gets a job. I just got a promotion at a new job a few months ago and am planning to have my own place soon. But he says he doesn't respect me because I haven't "lived" life. I pay rent and all of my bills while living at my mom's house. I am working on my Masters and constantly building my savings. It's never good enough for him. He even compared me to his son's mom and said he respects her because she has her own properties. It is very hurtful because I have been through a lot, none that he knows about but I feel like I should have to explain myself, trials, and tribulations. He is still calling me his friend after dating a year and a half. Any suggestions on dealing with this?
Question: What am I supposed to do about her??? Need Help!!!? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:29 PM PDT Hey guys so I have this friend that is a girl and we are pretty close. We've been close friends now for almsot 6 years and now that it's almost 6 I've grown tired of some things and I don't know what to do about her sometimes. For starters she moved back to the city that I live in from Houston to take a job that was paying less money than her current one and with no place to stay. So she has been sleeping in her car for about 6 or 7 months now. I can't help her because I can barely help myself. I'm trying to get my life together and focus on myself but I can't do that because she is so dependent on me. She puts so much into me and it's draining. I've slept in her car with her and everything. I sneak her into my parents house so she can wash her clothes and take a shower and I've been caught a few times. My parents don't like it. I wish my parents weren't jerks. and would let her stay here until she can get on her feet, but my parents don't really like her no reason. I know it's not my responsibility to help her out but I can't help it. I feel bad even though she is doing this to herself and could have made better choices. Most of the time I can't tell her no. When she asks I always say yes even though I don't want to do it. I know she'll get mad at me if I say no so I just say yes all the time. I'm 24 trying to get my life together and move out of my parents house. She wants to get an apartment with me but I don't want to because I feel like we are around each other too much. She depends on me so much. Like I just accepted a new job and she wants me to work at night so that she can come an shower and stuff at my parents house while they aren't here, and I don't wanna take that schedule I want to work during the day because I'm gonna go back to school in the spring and take evening classes.
Question: Hey everybody question on people that hate me lol..? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:25 PM PDT Ok im 14 (freshman) school starts august 25 Friday (yesterday) was the firat day of cheer practice I only have one friend in there there is 8 girls from my school that are freshmans and all of them hate me lol I dont know why I dont talk to them I am black the main 2 I girls are white and then you have the black girls surrounding them lol thats the only reason why I don't really wanna do cheer is because I am surrounded by a bunch of girls that dont like me lol I find it funny but how do I cope with those girls that dont like me lets be real I can the whiteness out of all the girls but it's just ugh im all lonely.
Question: Why are my friends ignoring me? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:22 PM PDT So I have had 3 best friends for most of the school year. We have had ups and downs and stuff but still remained friends. When the summer started I thought we would all stay in touch and see each other a lot. I wanted to go to paintball with all 3 of them and only one came, and she pretty much talked more to strangers than to me. The other friend cancelled last minute, and the last one didn't go just because she didn't want to. My mom thinks that I have a ton of friends and that I talk to these 3 all the time, but ever since I got back from a 2 week trip to Argentina they haven't texted me as much. It makes me feel like ****. And now, none of them have been answering me for about a week. And it's not like I'm a jerk right, I've been there for them! One of my friends had domestic problems, and another had hated herself at one point. And I was there for them. And I know that they see my texts, they are constantly on this group chat that I made and chatting with each other. And when I said hi, nobody responded. They had been on a minute ago, wtf?? And when they DO respond, it's only one of them and it's just her saying "...". And I really want to sort this out soon because in 2 weeks is my county fair, and it is a huge thing. And every year I go with my friends. But this year, it seems as if I've got no friends to go with! I don't want to look like a loner to my mom, who thinks I have a million friends. Also my cousin is visiting, and she also thinks that I have friends.HELP
Question: Are they not my friends if they never invite me anywhere? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:20 PM PDT I always invite my friends everywhere and then they never seem to invite me.....is this like a bad sign? Im going to start just not inviting them anywhere I guess. They seem to want to go out when I'm around girls, then I ask what they're doing and they tell me like going here and then I ask another friend and same thing. Like they all planned to be around each other and didnt ask me. So Im like not going to invite them anymore anywhere I suppose

Question: Today's society is scaring me.? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 12:03 PM PDT Recently I was having a debate with who I thought was a friend about BLM. During this debate I stated that I don't believe that white privilege is a thing and that the group is just charlatans trying to divide the world back into white and colored society. He got pissed, then revealed that he recorded the entire conversation and that he would leak it to the entire school. To this day I am getting threats from people at my school and from him personally. All because I have a different view. Have any of you ever felt this way? Have you ever been "bullied" in this type of way?

Question: Totally lost contact with a girl/can't stop thinking about her...? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 11:55 AM PDT When I was 18, i met a girl from an online dating site. She was 22 at the time.. She was so beautiful and so nice. The perfect girl in my opinion. After our hangout at starbucks, she told me i was too young for her and she doesnt think a 2nd date would be a great idea. But i think the real reason was that I was VERY shy back then and i had gross braces... I am 22 years old now, much more talkative and no more braces. I passed by that starbucks 2 days ago and I cant stop thinking about her now. Id love to hangout again and see what happens. I lost all my phone contacts last year. I dont have any info on her except for her first name. I tried a FB search but got no where. Cant find her on the dating site. Its depressing. What should I do? Should I forget her or keep trying?

| Question: How does the email sound when reaching out to a former friend? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 10:53 AM PDT There's a former friend I closed the door on and I want to reach out to her again. Please let me know what you all think of the email I plan on sending. If it needs work, I'll change it up. I know it's been awhile since we've crossed paths. Posted: 13 Aug 2016 09:55 AM PDT ive been there before and i just dont really like it. its not the message thats driving me away, its moreso the personality of the people there. They're jus, "too nice"? Its like they try very hard to be friendly and its just really obnoxious to me. I dont know if youve ever met a person like that, but i just dont have any common interests with the people there. Im a tomboy, and everything is split by gender, so when theres an event i cant even do anything i like because it has been sectioned off to boys only. | Question: How to survive the school year with no best friend? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 09:26 AM PDT I m going into 8th grade at a small school. I m not a shy person, in fact I love talking to people. There is only about 60 people in my grade and I know all of them. I thought I had found my friend group as one does in middle school. In the friend group I had a very close friend, with erratic mood swings. I have other friends but they are just friends not like she was. I think she is self conscious amongst other things and that s why she acted out so much. I true my believe she s a genuinely nice person but a couple days ago She freaks out at me calling me fake and all this bs. Honestly me and her kinda shut other people out I loved hanging out with her and I wish she still was my bestfriend. I m not looking for revenge I m looking for advice. I m a social person but my only other really close friends are very popular and go to a different school. Therefor don t really have time for me. I m just looking for away to survive with out this girl in the new school year. I only have a couple not very close friends and it s not like I can make new ones, like I said there only around 60 people in my grade. I was thinking of going to a new bigger school. I ve wanted to for a while now and a new start could be good. |

Question: Is it wrong that I'm friends with his ex-girlfriend now? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 08:33 AM PDT One night I was drinking with my friend Johnny, his girlfriend Lexi, and some other guys he knew. Soon Lexi just passed out in front of us. I had no idea what was happening. Turned out Johnny had slipped something into her drink unknowingly so the guys could take pictures of Lexi before dumping her off later. They tried stripping off her clothes and thought I wanted in on the action. The situation was getting uncomfortable and it didn't feel right. It might just be pictures, but still why would you treat anyone, especially women like a toy? Of course I refused and decided to drive Lexi home before things got worse. Needless to say Johnny was pissed at me. In the end he and his friends beat me up while I left for ruining their time. Now Johnny hates my guts more than ever because eventually Lexi found out and dumped him, and she no longer hangs out with any of his friends. However I do have one friend now: Lexi. Despite what happened we started talking, hanging out , and now she's like my new best friend. She's awesome. Problem is Johnny (we're not friends anymore) thinks I betrayed him by stealing his girlfriend and is always looking for a chance to ambush me and Lexi. IDK what to do! Did I really betray a friend? And why would Lexi feel comfortable hanging out with me after knowing what might have happened? She really wants to get to know me more for some reason. Why?
Question: Social advice: making new friends? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 08:32 AM PDT I am a very shy 13 year old. I have very bad social anxiety, and have a hard time talking to people I don't know. I have a few close friends, and that's all. There will be a lot new kids at my school this year and I really want to make friends with them, but I literally have no idea how. Tips? Pointers? And also, how to I appear to be less shy

Question: Should I bring a gift to a 16 year old's birthday party? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 08:04 AM PDT The girl that invited me is someone I don't know too well. I was really flattered that she invited me, and I think we've both wanted to become closer friends for a while now. But I don't know if I should get her something, since it is her birthday after all. And if I do, I don't know what the hell I should get her. Almost all of the others invited are closer friends of hers, and I wouldn't want to be the only one without a gift.
Question: Is it bad for a 15 year old to be FRIENDS with a 30 year old? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 07:55 AM PDT She is my internet friend and I just wanted to know if it was a bad thing or not.
Posted: 13 Aug 2016 07:48 AM PDT We had intense chemistry and passion and talked a lot and for hours at a time. We had an amazing first date and then I heard nothing from him for nearly a week until he texted me an image of the moon from the beach with no words with it.After that he gave me no explanation of the long pause between our date and him reaching out. I sent him a text back and he said that he wanted to keep in touch, I replied that I did as well. I deleted him off of Facebook and he never spoke to me again, its been 3 weeks. He keeps my best friend on his friends list despite completely ghosting me. There is no attraction between him and my friend and she is married so I doubt he's keeping her on there as a potential hookup. What is this guys deal? I feel disgusted by him at this point.
| Question: I told a friend to scare her off I was getting a new number? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 06:43 AM PDT I had a ex friend Sara who was too close for comfort I told her I was getting a new number I also told her to stop ******* texting me she hasn't since should i not be worried? | Question: Having a hard time figuring out if he's just my friend or if he wants more? Posted: 13 Aug 2016 06:12 AM PDT I met this guy at work about a year ago. He's married. He even talks about his wife at times as well as other women. He's a masculine guy, but he keeps giving me some mixed signals and I'm not sure what to think. If he wants more, then I'm going to end the friendship. I care about him a lot and hoping he just wants to be friends. He's said "I love you" to me countless times. We've never even hung out outside of work. He's also sent me a lot of "Good Morning Sunshine" text messages. There are several times where I caught him looking at me and he will turn away quickly or look down at the ground. Sometimes he seems perfectly fine around me while other times, he seems to look nervous. I want to think I'm reading too much into things, but I don't know of many straight men who act like this to their buddies. One time we were texting back and forth about something and I mentioned that we're all human and make mistakes. Im not perfect. His reply was, "You're pretty close to it though" I've just never received this kind of treatment from another guy. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thoughts? |
