Posted: 22 Aug 2016 09:51 PM PDT My sister & I are throwing a baby shower for my oldest daughter this next weekend. She is expecting her first child (a girl) But since it is so close to the time my other children just started school I am running a little low on funds and I am trying to come up with a decent menu plan. We already have all the decorations and other baby shower stuff including the cake is already ordered and paid for. I am just feeling a little nervous about being able to come up with something to serve everyone (aprox. 20-30 people) within my budget without being tacky. |
Question: Need a Father/daughter song for wedding day: catch i was adopted? Posted: 22 Aug 2016 08:39 PM PDT OKAY so this is a little complicated.I was actually grown up when i was "adopted by my best friend's family. Just recently for my 22nd birthday they gave me a certificate stating that i was an official part of the family. my biological family was abusive and high on just about everything so i am not associated with them in any way. I call my bestie's parents mom and dad and even her distant cousins accept me as part of the family. I need 2 songs actually for my wedding day. one: for when we are standing at the end of the aisle before he gives me away.two: as a father daughter dance at the reception. I have had a hard time trusting guys/men in general after my biological father was such an ***. but my Dad (adopted) is such a phenomenal guy, i really want this to be special for us. thanks in advance |

Question: Can anyone answer my wedding questions? Posted: 22 Aug 2016 03:02 PM PDT Are there any colors I need to avoid when I buy a mother of the GROOM dress/gown? Does it matter if the dress/gown is long or short? |
Question: What theme should I pick for my upcoming wedding? Posted: 22 Aug 2016 12:49 PM PDT Hooray! I am getting married! I popped the question and she said "Yes"!!!! We are talking about getting married during the renaissance festival, our favorite event and where we met! I was also thinking of a Star Trek wedding theme. Or maybe Twilight (our favorite movie!) or Harry Potter. What are your favorite wedding themes? Any suggestions for us lovebirds??? Your thoughts? Harsh crowd! Merlin, just because you cannot find a woman to love you, you shouldn't be such a hater. Try to find some love in your icy black heart. |
Question: Marriage license questions!! Help!!!? Posted: 22 Aug 2016 11:52 AM PDT Okay here it goes and excuse me if I sound dumb. I got married on the last day before my wedding license expired and now I m here worried because 1. We were never asked to sign it. Is this normal? I ve always seen people sign something once they get married. (I live in Texas) 2. I mailed it in after it "expired" (90 days I m Texas) does the marriage still count? Like was the ceremony what was important or did we have to turn in the license before it expires? |
Question: How much should you spend on a wedding gift? Posted: 22 Aug 2016 11:20 AM PDT It s my friend s wedding. We are not super close. Both of us are 23 & fairly fresh out of college...so I don t have a lot of income to spend on a gift. How much roughly should I spend if I give them cash? Also, if they have cheap gifts on their registry, would I need to get them two gifts then? |

Question: Is he being cheap for our honeymoon? Posted: 22 Aug 2016 06:27 AM PDT I am getting married to the love of my life in October, and he recently told me our honeymoon destination. Not that I dislike at all where he told me where we were going, but it seems like he went cheap when deciding. Disney World is where we will be staying and spending our time. Now, while I know we will probably have a fantastic time enjoying everything, and Disney will probably go out of their way to make our honeymoon very memorable, it seems like a cheap honeymoon location. Now, I don't want him to break the bank on a honeymoon, and I am not saying he made a bad choice, however, it just seems more like a vacation location, than a honeymoon destination. Am I being a little too selfish, or is the honeymoon a cheap idea? Thanks for any answers. |
Question: How much should an engagement ring cost? Posted: 21 Aug 2016 02:06 AM PDT I already brought it to a jeweler and he said that it probably is worth around 800$. My best friend told me that this is not enough. She was married once, but they ended up divorced and her ring costed more than 1000$. I'm not sure if I should risk it. I like this guy, but 800$ seems to be too low. It's not like he is super shy on cash. How much should a ring cost? |
Question: Who is considered a comparable official for a county clerk when getting married? Posted: 19 Aug 2016 08:57 PM PDT My fiancee and I are looking to get married out of state, but need to apply for a license. I'm not familiar with who can perform this service. The form defines a comparable official as: To be a comparable official, you should be authorized to administer oaths and issue marriage licenses as part of your duties as a public official. A notary public is NOT a comparable official. |
