Question: Why people seem willing to be my friends at first but eventually they avoid me? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 05:48 PM PDT I tried to be friends with various people recently. They seemed interest at first but they stopped talking to me after awhile.
Question: Nobody listens to me? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 05:47 PM PDT I try to talk and interact with the people around me and I always seem to be ignored or talked over. Even when no one else is talking, i'm always ignored. My family doesn't listen to me either. I just feel that i'm not needed and that nobody would notice if I wasn't here anymore. I don't know what to do.
Question: Should I go to a certain sleepover? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 05:44 PM PDT One of my friends is taking me and some more friends to the lake for a day for her birthday on a sunday. My parents are going out of town saturday night, so I arranged to sleepover with that friend whose birthday it is. Then today, on a group chat we are both in, people were talking about having a group sleepover the same night. I want to go to that. Should I suggest to my friend that we both go to the group sleepover instead of me just going to her house?

Posted: 11 Aug 2016 05:05 PM PDT A year ago, I closed the door on a friend I felt was controlling. Last year's email I said, "Hi, I know it's been six months since we last spoke. When you sent me a friend request on Facebook after not speaking for three years, I thought it was a mistake. I just want to let you know that I'm very happy with my life. I've moved forward and I don't think it's a good idea to rekindle our friendship. I wish you all the best. Take care!" She never responded to that email. Please tell me how this sounds that I'm going to write and see what you all think. Will she respond or ignore me. I was thinking about saying, "Hi, I know it's been awhile since we've crossed paths. I just wanted to let you know that I don't need motherly advice from you. Whatever you're up to, I hope you're well!" Does that sound good or do I need to work on it?
Question: How to be a better friend with her? Please help!? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 04:35 PM PDT Hi. I currently just started 8th grade a few days ago and I've had this friend that I'd met at the start of 7th grade. I complimented her and I was apparently her first friend at my school, but we didn't have a single class together so we couldn't talk much at all. She hangs with my other friend and some girls a lot, and they seem to be a little clique. The problem is she's usually surrounded by her little friends or my friend she hangs out with since we constantly hang out with her at separate times. Classes sort of split some of them up, and I have her only for first period where her two friends are. No one can really talk in those classes neither. I really want to hang with her cause she's super sweet every time we talk, but I don't know what to ask her, or how to do it and bring up the courage. Sometimes she might be alone for a few minutes in the morning. Thanks!
Question: A Bad First Day of School? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 04:31 PM PDT I just started 8th grade today and I was really looking forward to this year but today I learned I have no classes with any of my friends. I was supposed to have 3rd and 4th period with my best friend and for third we were going to be helpers in the special education room but now they switched me to agriculture and her to technology. I hate agriculture and so far i'm not to fond of the teacher. I am very shy and anti- social so I don't really make friends easily. Also I feel as if my best friend and I are already drifting apart, she is so outgoing and fun and lovable and i'm scared she will make a new bestfriend. what do I do?
Question: Is my nurse friend wrong here please help? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 04:23 PM PDT I have this one friend that is a nurse but he seems to always be wrong. he told me I did not need an inhaler change when I did, he also said my cat could not give me poison ivy when I told him mine did. and the latest I been sick with bronchitis and I said how my ribs r really sore and painful. I told him I was looking up causes for and treatment ideas to do for it till I got my exray results back. well I found this condition that starts like this coso and my symptoms pointed to it and I told my nurse friend that and he said oh u do not have that and I said but my ribs hurts the actual bone hurts and he said no it does nor I is ur muscles bot ur bone. well I was in pain today and called doc and he said xray was normal but that I had inflammation of my ribs so when I googled that it came up again with the coso word from yesterday so I told my nurse friend that and he said well u do not have pneumonia and I said I know that and I said what do u think about what I said to u and he said this: i just think it is from coughing and i said doc said inflammation and he siad yes i saw and i said about that condition and he said yes and i said well i thought i had it yesterday and he said yes i know but i do not think you do have it, see everytime I get bronchitis my ribs hurt some so that is why he said he said it and I said yes but this time pain is much worse and all over ribs and not in one spot like before. so my nurse friend is more or less telling me that my doc is wrong. see my nurse friend admitted to me that he has no nursing degree that he just trained on the job to become a nurse but he is from England so that might be dif over there. but I think he is over the top saying that I am wrong and when I confirm that I was right he acusses my doc of being wrong. why is my nurse friend doing this?
Question: Should I still be friends with him? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 04:21 PM PDT My school have alot of racist kids in it, its an all white school. Theres only 1 black kid who goes there and he's Justin. All the white kids always make fun of him because he's dark skinned and I feel really bad for him. I went to talk to him during lunch and we became friends. However, my white friends came over and asked me why I was hanging out with that loser and I said oh I wasnt.. I want to be friends with Justin but he might make me get bullied too. What do I do? Should I stay friends with him or not?
Question: How do I find out if my Dad's friend committed suicide? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 04:21 PM PDT My father's friend died (my Dad died last year) and he was only 59 (the friend). We are all wondering if it was a suicide because the friend had mental health issues and the two adult children are not having a funeral nor is there anything in the local paper (death notice). It seems very weird. How would I find out as I don't want to ask the grown children who I knew very little but is there a public record of this? He died in June and not a word of anything has been spoken accept when I emailed the funeral home they replied no service at the decision of the children.

Question: Poll: DO I OWE HIM AN APOLOGY?????? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 04:07 PM PDT So a little over a month ago my friend got this guy that I met online fired from his job for the stupidest reason. We went to his workplace to shop and we didn't expect him to be working that day. I saw him and tried to hide because I wanted to avoid him seeing me. He did see me and he text me saying he did. I was so embarrassed that he caught me trying to hide from him so I lied to him and tried convincing him that it wasn't me. He got on security footage and took a picture of my friend and I walking out of the store and sent it to us. My friend was creeped out about that so she called his work and told on him. I'm pretty sure he lost his job and he's mad at both of us and blocked us both. I was going to text him in a few days just to apologize because I'm feeling bad for the whole situation and feeling guilty that he lost his job.. I'm pretty sure he got a new job..

Question: How do you connect with a roommate you have nothing in common with? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 03:41 PM PDT I am going to start my first year at a university soon I I had the opportunity to meet my roommate recently and it seems we have little to nothing in common. She just turned 18 and graduated from high school . I will be 21 soon and have been out of high school for two years. We are both quiet which is never a good mix. I consider myself a bit of a rebel and I m crazy and wierd I love tattoos and piercing and letting loose and drinking. She doesn t seem like the type. I love hip hop and rap but I also listen to different things like pop and rock . she has never even heard of many of my favorite artist many of them are well known. How can I deal with this year without either of us being uncomfortable with each other???
Question: My guy best friend met a girl and I feel heartbroken, is it normal? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 03:39 PM PDT I am a 23 year old woman and I became really good friends with my coworker (who is 29). We always were buddies but after his breakup with his girlfriend, we began hanging out more. At one point he said he was interested in me, (which I did not see coming, I did not think I was his type at all). I politely declined but he seemed fine. He still wanted to hang out. Eventually he even admitted that though it may work, we probably would clash as a couple and eventually stopped having feelings (at least I think). From then on, it wasn't awkward. It is ridiculous how much we have in common, to favorite sports teams (where I live, its impossible to find Bayern Munich fans), music, values etc., and we literally always have fun even sitting outside the restaurant we work drinking a beer. We also open up to each other. We even became each other's "wing buddy". However these past few weeks, he suddenly became distant. Barely texted (he used to beg me to chat because he loved our chats), showed up late to the bar when we watched games etc., not waiting up for me after work like he used to. I found out he started dating a girl. I am happy for him because I truly love him like a best friend and wanted him to find a girl but I feel so hurt. The thing is, I don't have any romantic feelings for him whatsoever yet I still feel heartbroken in a way. Is it normal to feel this way? I didn't feel this way when my female friends got boyfriends...
Question: Why do they treat me like that? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 03:30 PM PDT So in my friend groups there's two guys lets call them d and c. They're really good friends an I care about them a lot and I know they care about me too but sometimes I hate the way they treat me. They always and I mean always make fun of me for my height (I'm 4'11) and they pick me and stuff. I don't care that they poke me or tickle me and stuff but I absolutely hate when they hit me. Normally they don't hit me hard they just smack my *** but it really hurts. For example they both always somehow manage to get a stick of some sort and they always smack my *** with it to they point where I'll get bruises. Also d always hits me in the butt with his guitar or he'll throw me over his shoulder and make my other friends snack my butt or he won't put me down. Although d never touches my butt with his hand because he says I would say it's harassment but o does and he smacks me very hard. Why do they do this?? It's so annoying and also how do I get them to stop? I've told them I hate it but they do it anyway
Question: Could you forgive a friend who totals your car and almost kills you in an accident? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 03:25 PM PDT Could you forgive a friend/lover (3 months you known him) who totals your car 2 payments from being paid off and almost kills you in the accident. (wasnt wearing seat belt) I was life flight-ed to the hospital, broke my C3 in my neck & was required to wear a Halo (Big metal thing that was screwed into my head)for 3 months. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I was out of work for 3 months, I couldn't take a normal bath. There was no other car involved, we were trying to get on the freeway, probably speeding a little. It was just an accident, his mistake, wrong move. Insurance gave me what it was worth 10K for the car. I have 2 kids also. And my family was informed of the accident thru facebook around midnight from one of his friends. Could you just forgive him? Would you still be friends and let him drive you around?
Question: ٩(̾●̮̮̃̾•̃̾)۶ What to say to people when I visit California? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 03:06 PM PDT I'm from NYC and I'll be visiting Santa Monica, California for one week and I want to make friends while I'm there. How to make friends while I'm there? What to say? ;D Thank you!
Posted: 11 Aug 2016 02:57 PM PDT I m not that kind of person who literally just joins a random conversation... no... I don t do that. Nobody has approached me and said HI, not even one person. Well.. only in class, when the teachers tell us to talk to one another. But yeah nobody actually makes friends by doing that. I don t wear dark clothes neither do I wear bright. I wear simple shirts with white converse. Can anyone please tell me how to make friends quickly. It s really weird sitting alone in the cafeteria. I m pretty shy. I don t go to people and ask them to be my friend. I m not trying to approach the popular kids because they re pretty rude. I don t need rude friends. I really want people to approach me instead of me approaching them because I m shy. I kind of want to make friends with people who have been in my school for more than a year but if I can t then I would absolutely love to make friends with the new kids. Please please please please help!

Question: How do i make friends? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 01:58 PM PDT I know this is a pathetic question, but i do need some help :/ I'm a sophmore in high school and i did attend this school during freshman year. During my first year it was easier to make friends than it is now. I absolutely have no friends in any of my classes. I have trouble talking to people because i have no idea what to talk about and i dont want them to think that i'm weird because i'm quiet. Also how do i approach people who i barely ever talk to, but i know then from other classes?

Question: Need info on criminal complaint? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 01:17 PM PDT My 22yr old friend met this boy on a dating app. The boy asked for my friends number and my friend gives it to him. Today he got a text from the boy and he and the boy started exchanging text. The boy sent him 2 photos that were shirtless. My friend just complimented and that was it. The boy then sent inappropriate photos, my friend complimented but did not send any inappropriate photo containing nudity. However, when they boy sent the 2 inappropriate photo, he sent a text stating he is 16 and not 18 as my friend had thought because it stated he was 18 on the dating app. My friend did not read that message and continued to talk to him, not in an inappropriate way. The boy's parents walked in on the boy taking photos and making videos. My friend did not ask for any of that. Shortly, my friend got a text from the boys dad stating that his wife was contacting the police. My friend was confused and did not no what to do or say. After talking to the father, the father stated that it he wasnted to make this go away, to western union $600. My friend lives in CA and this person lives in SC. Can he be charged with anything? He spoke to the SC detective stating he would be arrested and need to register as a sex offender. But they are in different states and districts. Any info on this will help.
Question: Anyone else tired of Pokemon GO? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 01:05 PM PDT Hi everyone :) Just wondering if I am not the only one tired and bored of playing pokemon go. It feels like a chore to me now. My best friend is sooo obsessed with it, she keeps sending me screenshots, youtube videos of it, and now, that's all we talk about. I'm afraid it's going to ruin our 11-year friendship! And now that I am getting so tired of the hype, I wonder how she will react when I tell her that. lol But anyways, please tell me I am not the only one who thinks this way! Edit: Whoops... this is posted in the wrong section... should have been in the "Games and recreation" section lol.
Question: Please help what does this mean? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:59 PM PDT My friend just told me his girlfriend thinks im harassing him and he said he wont be meeting me. Then i told him i have a bf too and i just want to meet him he still said no. Why is he doing this and what do i do.... Thanks
Question: I get nauseous when I'm around other people? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:46 PM PDT I call it people-sick, every time I'm with my best friend or someone close to me for a long period of time I get nauseous. Then I just chew mint gum and it kinda fades away. I often have to literally take a 30-minute break from people in general to "charge up" again. Thanks.
Question: Being friendly at a new school? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:40 PM PDT I am an introvert, and never initiate conversations unless it's school-wise (because my grades matter to me lol). But I am attending a new school, and I was wondering how I could burst out of my shell and be more open to meeting new people. At new schools, I just find it very awkward as being the "new kid", and I don't want to be just going all out to meet others. I'm not that type of person. (BIG introvert). But I will definitely be cool with that person if they initiate the conversation. Especially considering the fact that I now know that they're interested in being friends. Anyway, any tips on "being friendly" (cringe) at a new school? Or how you got out of that awkward stage when you were new at a school? Thanks.
Question: My strict mum makes life a living hell!? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:35 PM PDT My dad works away and sometimes I wish it was my mum who worked away because if I lived with my dad, life would be way easier! My mum is the strictest woman I know! I feel like I'm the only person who isn't allowed to do anything. Well, firstly I'm not allowed to go out with my friends or to the park until IM SIXTEEN. She was raised in a foreign country, and we live in England. In england (or the area i live in) little kids are allowed to play at the park with their friends! Kids my age are allowed to go anywhere! (13) I haven't told anyone I'm not allowed to play out because it'd make me seem like such a weirdo. I'm not even allowed to take the bus on my own. Infact, the most freedom I will ever have is probably going to the chip shop across the street! Everytime I ask if my friends can sleep over, she always finds an excuse! And if my friends ever sleep at mine, we have to go to bed early and its super boring! I was allowed to sleep at my friends houses until a couple of months ago, she caught me playing out with my friend. She went mental, she was SO ANGRY! And now she's banned me from going to any friends houses forever. It makes me so depressed. I have no social life anymore!!!
Question: How do you deal with clingy people that won't go away? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:22 PM PDT I'm blunt. I will be nice for a few minutes, and then I just flat out make them go away, or I leave. I just tell them I have things to do that doesn't include them. It's not my problem if they take that in any mean way. I don't intend to be mean, but if they're that insecure, it's not my issue. Are you blunt or do you slither away? How do you get them to leave? Really, what the heck is wrong with these people!?!?!? Clingy people are the worst! Leeches!!!
Question: My boyfriend is really starting to get on my nerves? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:18 PM PDT My boyfriend acts like I can't say anything he doesn't like without him saying I'm "acting up". He's always saying he's tired of me. Always and he doesn't stop. I say your free to go then he won't leave . He tries to "punish" me by locking my phone and changing my password. And treating me like crap. Even if he's wrong he still will tell me I'm " acting up" and not talk to me when he's the one doing something wrong. I can't say anything . Or I'm " acting up and deserve to be punished" what is his issue? I don't even do anything really but if I say something that he doesn't go along with iHe goes into some angry rage saying I'm acting up and he's tired of me et he won't leave?
Question: How would you resolve this. Serious.? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:15 PM PDT . I am in Washington and I need a ride to Utah. My two friends are coming up to go on a trip before we go back to Utah and they get in a fight and won t talk to each other. Friend 1 wants to goto Oregon then Canada but I can get to Oregon so no problem there, and friend 2 wants to goto Washington. But they are both driving up separate. And I can t be in two places. And they don t want to see each other. Also I don t want to tell either that one of you shouldn t come up.
Posted: 11 Aug 2016 12:00 PM PDT A friend told me that I seem nicer because I'm instigating more conversations. My opinion, fake, loud, and annoying is how I feel. People usually tell me i'm quite and need to speak up. It's weird because when I speak up I strongly believe I'm yelling, though no one says so.
Question: My best friend has become really concieted? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 11:51 AM PDT We used to have conversations about several topics, regarding school or life in general. But gradually, we started to talk less about those things, and issues about her family and her boyfriend. As time went on, I've felt more like her psychologist who she would only talk to about her issues (several times a day) and if it's about anything other than her, she would not continue the conversation. Later, she sending pictures about the new makeup she bought (if I send her a message about myself, she won't say much). She would also send me text messages with her friends and say that they are just using her, but she would call them her "best friends" on social media. Due to the fact that doesn't engage in conversation if it isn't regarding her, I stopped messaging her first. After asking she asked what was wrong, I just said that I liked my alone time and I don't usually message my friends every single day. Now, she would send me links to videos and I'd watch them and make a comment. But if I do the same, I would just get a read receipt and no response. She sends me snaps of herself and asks "How do I look?" If I tell her about something, she will ask a follow up question and the conversation would steer back to herself. What should I do?
Question: Hanging out by myself? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 11:49 AM PDT I'm 15 years old and since I live in NYC, all the teenagers around me have a lot of friends to hang out and spend time with. But I prefer to be alone and do things myself. Is this weird? I don't see any other girls who goes to places where there is a lot of people by herself.
Question: Is this an abusive friendship? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 11:42 AM PDT I have/had a friend, this friend was nice at the beginning, they would give me stuff, compliment me and hang out with me all the time, but as months went by, they started to get kind of mean. They would stare at me when I talked to other people, then get act like I did something wrong, They would joke about me, say mean things about me behind my back, and when I ignored them, They scratched me? It left a long scratch down my back. As more time went on..They turned my some of my brothers against me, and when I got sad, They acted like it was my fault? They told them I was a bad person, they even said that I was a cyberbully! Then then starts telling my friends that I would lie to them, or hurt them. Then when I would try to talk to them, they wouldn't believe me, because they were more popular than me? They left me with two friends, and one barely trusts me anymore. They turned most of my online friends against me, then at school Then acts like it never happened, and when I bring it up.. They get angry and storms off, or they say that I'm lying, and act horrible to me. They've done other things, but they've given me anxiety, I had to get help because of the things people have said to me . I just want to know if this is a bad friendship, or if this is a normal thing? Sorry if this is a immature or dumb question.

Question: What Does This Mean? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 11:23 AM PDT We'd known eachother for 4 years. IN the past we've gotten into arguments that have ended badly when I noticed interest on his part and called him out on making excuses to talk to me(caught him staring) and he denied it saying he's happy with his gf and it ended pretty badly with me blocking him. Yesterday(a year later), I accidentally sent him a blank email and he text me 10 minutes later "hey I got an email from you with empty subject. Did you need something?" Then we talked like nothing ever happened. Since last we spoke, he's changed his phone to an iphone and still kept my number in this new phone.
Question: My boyfriends brother in law deleted me as a friend on facebook. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 11:22 AM PDT I know his family always found me immature and annoying (I guess that happenes when you're a cheerful bubbly person surrounded by miserable cynical people). I see all of them often. Should I pretend not to notice?? Getting unfriended by family or by people that are regularly in my life makes me feel so awkward? I don't care that much lol. I just don't see why someone would unfriend someone who is in their life on a regular basis cuz that makes things awkward even if no one says anything about it.

| Question: How can I befriend him without being too forward ? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 10:33 AM PDT I have a lifelong family friend whom I have been running into quite frequently lately, only to discover that he is carrying a very heavy burden. He and I are very friendly and it turns out that his wife of only 2 years is housebound and very ill. | Question: Would it be weird to add this girl I don't know very well on Snapchat? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 10:32 AM PDT I'm going to be a junior, and there's this girl who is going to be a senior next year. I find her attractive, and she seems nice but she probably doesn't know who I am at all. I had a class with her one semester last year, but she never paid attention to me and we never talked. On Instagram, I saw her profile, and she put her Snapchat username on her bio. Should I add her even know she probably doesn't know me at all? |

Question: Friends are always busy, what do I do with my life? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 10:11 AM PDT I know school is going to start soon but during breaks and summer, my friends are always busy with their lives and they have so many skills that they improve all the time. like volleyball, calligraphy, piano, guitar, ukulele, horseback riding, firefighter campaigns, drama (as in acting), ect What can I do to make myself busy? I'm always bored. -I do horseback riding, not all the time. -I use to draw a lot but then started doing it for school and that kind of ruined the fun but it unlocked the skill I didn't think I had. -Umm, I have a journal I write in so anything to do with writing would be great (not needing to be in my journal if that messes anything up). -I work out but barely, so I'm wanting to find some equestrian workouts I can do. -I took guitar for two-three years (which it has been two years since I stopped). -I like singing, not good at it and if I have to be purposely placed in front of people to do it then I nope out and I don't like getting caught singing along. -I took ballet a long time ago Andd that's pretty much it Thanks!
Question: Being left out a lot? Posted: 11 Aug 2016 10:08 AM PDT It all started in 7th grade, I didn't have many classes with my main group of friends. I had friends in all 8 periods, but none were the main ones that I felt totally comfortable with. The only period I had with them was lunch & hated that everytime I sat with them they seemed to have hung out separately with eachother the the weekend before which made me feel left out & like an outsider to the group. One of them had a birthday bonfire...and she didn't invite me..she's really nice, not fake or rude towards me and I know she likes me as a friend because we've had our "deep" talks and really understand eachother same with the others in the group. when I saw my friends that went to the bonfire post all these pictures, I immediately felt heartbroken and completely left out. Now that im past that grade I wanna start over and I'm really hoping I have classes with them! It's really not anything personal that I never get invited to hang out with them it's just me. I guess I'm kinda awkward to approach. I want to know how to not get left out a lot. Please don't tell me to find new friends because these are the only friends I want to have for a while. And my mom doesn't let anyone over my house so don't say to try and invite them. Thanks, Plus my parents are REALLY strict so they don't let me out a lot And I don't wanna "talk to them about how I feel"
