Question: I would love some men to answer my relationship question!? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 09:15 PM PDT Long story short, I am married with 3 children. My husband and I have been having problems the last 2 years.Neither of us did anything horrible to the other.I asked several times for a break so we can think but he never left. That was until about 3 weeks ago.I finally pushed him enough to leave. I know it was hard for him but we were miserable.I took they time to think about things and have decided I can't live w/o him.He, however, says he is done.He says he thought if he ever had to leave, we were automatically done with our marriage. We do see a therapist. When we went the other day, he said he thinks he is done.Even though he says he thinks he is, he does not tell me if he is wiling to work hard(I am) and see if we can work this out and stay married. My question for the men is, do you think he is really done or is it possible he is very hurt and trying to protect himself? I even asked him this and why he is so nice to me. He said he doesnt feel sorry for me but cares about me and my health, especially b/c I have the kids most of the time. How would you feel and/or react to this situation? All positive answers and/or advice are greatly appreciated!!!! |

Question: Help with a surprise trip for my husband to Hawaii? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 09:08 PM PDT I planned a surprise trip for my husband's 30th birthday. The trip is the first week in December, and I plan on telling him on November 28th- his birthday. He works at a hospital and I'm not sure how to go about making sure he will have the time off. Especially because his birthday is so close to the trip time. Any ideas on this? I'd like to do it myself, but I think it may be better for him to arrange (especially because he works 3 12hr shifts a week and holday pay, if he wants to move days around or use vacation time, etc.). Any suggestions? The second thing- I'm open to any creative ways to reveal it to him. He's always wanted to go. I can't give him pineapples every day... He'll figure that out. Ideas? Thank you in advance for taking the time to help me! |
Question: Do you think it's possible to truly love two people? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 08:43 PM PDT This is a tricky question, and perhaps just a matter of opinion question. But I'm curious to know if it's possible to TRULY love two people. Can a man love his wife and another woman? Can a wife love her husband and another man? What are your thoughts. Monica, I agree that there are many types of love (parental, sibling, friend, spousal, etc). My question specifically asks if it's possible to love your spouse and another person. |

Posted: 27 Aug 2016 05:55 PM PDT Me and my husband are going through a separation. He told me he loves me but is not in love with me anymore. And he wants to try being on his own. I moved back home with family. 1000 miles away. He wants to figure out his problems and make our marriage work as do I. But he did alot of hurtful things, including a friendship he made with a female he met online in one of those webcam chat rooms. He hid it from me and I checked phone records and saw. I do belive it was nothing more than friends but am still very hurt. I want to work things out but hes being very distant now.. he is starting to talk a little but is very stressed. Mainly bc ive been on his case bc I feel he isnt making effort to talk to me, he barely texts back or is very short. He is busy with work and dealing with the bills. I had to quit my job to move so I cant help with money but that was his choice, he wanted me to move away bc he thought that would help with how he feels. He then had the nerve to tell me that if i had a job i would understand he is busy, when i said hes the reason i dont have a job, he got angry with me but he was rude first. A little background we've been together 7 years, married almost 3. I know he isnt cheating or even wants another woman so thats not an issue. I should add that once I found out about the phone calls with the other girl, he was very sorry and blocked her number.. He had met her and her brother on the webcam chatroom thing so it wasnt just a girl he was talking to. but it was still hurtful he hid it from. had he told me ahead of time I would not even be mad about it |

Question: My husband told me he doesn't want a fat wife? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 04:40 PM PDT I am 35 years old, while my husband 40 years old. We've been married for ten years. When we first met, I was thin as a pencil. That was before I had four kids with him. Now that I am much older, it is hard for me to maintain my weight. I attribute my weight gain to a decreased metabolism (due to age) and having children. It's really not my fault that I'm overweight! I do cardio exercises every day, and strive to eat healthy. I try to look sexy for him, but it's never enough for him because I'm fat. And yes, he specifically said: "I don't want a fat wife" after an altercation between us. What should I do about this if I'm having difficulty losing weight? In fact, my kids have a babysitter every Saturday so that I could spend time at the gym, but my husband isn't giving me the credit I deserve. |
Posted: 27 Aug 2016 04:25 PM PDT A wife files for divorce after two years of separation, even after the husband still stays over from time to time and they have sex with each other. The wife only files because she finds out he has a newborn baby with someone else. A month after filing, she cancels it. One month later, she finds out he slept with another woman right after they got back together, she forgives him. The woman he slept with, sleeps with him again a year later (she left town for a while) and he pursues her, and the wife finds out about it and so does everyone else, because the wifes' friend tries to humilate the other woman on social media. Four months later, husband and wife separate again. Husband still pursues other woman. Wife files for divorce 2 months later. It only took six months this time for the women to file and all her family members know and even the ones who were supportive of him, are no longer and she is now calling him, 'ex'. He lied about everything, even giving her another baby, which he hasn't given her on the almost two years they've been back together. He is dependent on her? Do you think she's done for good? |

Question: Want to help but don't now how...? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 04:11 PM PDT So my friend got married about a year ago. She moved here (Phoenix) with her husband from Wisconsin, she got a teacher job in Phoenix, but she quit her job because she was to stressed out. To make a LONG story short her parents took her "home" to Wisconsi. She has been there for about 5months! Her parents baby her around and treat her like she can't do anything bye herself! She is like 24 so she's not like a teen. They even bought her a new car there! Her parents are like a drug to her. She can't stay away from them for a day! She is going thru treatment but I don't think its working very well. I love and respect her and i want to help her as much as I can I just don't know how. I also feel bad for her husband who is all alone. We are doing all we can to help him and comfort him. Her parents want them to get divorced😢. |

Question: How does marriage suddenly make sex with my boyfriend non-sinful? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 03:19 PM PDT Marriage to me is literally a legally binding contract that forces the government to recognize you as a real couple. When I get married, I will probably go up to the courthouse and sign the license in front of some friends but that's it. Weddings at churches are too expensive and overrated. I just want to know how marriage suddenly makes sex with the person you love no longer a sin. And is sex with your boyfriend before marriage even a sin to begin with? |

Question: Fiancé puts disrespectful MIL first with our baby - what do I do? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 03:09 PM PDT Without going into too much detail, how should I handle this situation? My future MIL has always been passive aggressive to me, sometimes rude but usually it s more subtle. Fiance always makes excuses for her behavior. He downplays things she does and doesn t set boundaries, and when I point out things he gets mad at me. She has no filter in front of kids and forces affection on them, has crying spells and doesn t respect boundaries at all, to give a very base idea. I don t want to get into it all but the kids she has regular involvement with have all been emotionally scarred. Lots of dangerous dysfunction in the family. This all quickly became clear after getting pregnant with our son. I ve let her comments slide until now but I don t want our son to be brought up thinking this is healthy. I told fiancé that next time his mom visits I will stand up for myself if I need to since he hasn t. I said I d be reasonable but if she takes badly to it, either being aggressive/insulting or playing the victim, I would leave the house with our son for a bit so fiance can take her home. His response was that she s his *mother* and that if she won t be respectful of me in our home and with our child, that I could just go in the other room and let her have time with the baby, and wouldn t let me leave the house with him if she acts out. He said anyone else he wouldn t mind, but his mother "has a right" to our son no matter what :( I can t believe I m having to deal with this. Help? |

Question: I don't know how to initiate sex.? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 01:17 PM PDT I have been married for2years, together for6. We only have sex like twice a month even though I'd like it more. My husband says he's tired of always having to be the one to initiate, he wants me to once in a while. That's understandable, but I've now realized that i don't know how to! I am 31 years old and have literally never had to initiate it. My technique had always been to kind of hint that I'm in the mood with my body language or some flirty comments or something, and then the guy pursues me. Last night i told myhusband i wanted to make out and other flirty things through the evening. When we put the kids to bed and got in bed, he didn't initiate anything. I told him i wanted him to kiss me, and he was like, "you can kiss me"...so i did, but it was really hard! Like, really awkward for me. Why is that so hard for me? Do i need sex therapy our something?can i get better at initiating sex? |

Question: Why my husband is terrible? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 12:50 PM PDT Me and my husband been married for 2 month's we have our own place we both work government jobs. But I'm sick and tired of him not having a car I mean every man should have a car well a real man should. Question: My wife doesn't want kids ? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 10:40 AM PDT My wife is having twins in January she told me she wants either an abortion or adoption she said were not ready for kids. She's upset because a 10 year old girl was murdered on her birthday by her own mom and boyfriend and cousins. She thinks it's a bad time for us to bring more kids into the world when other kids are dying. It's also scary for her too. I really wanted kids but she said she doesn't and she didn't feel like she was ready. How can I help her feel better ? |
Posted: 27 Aug 2016 10:40 AM PDT In my family and families like mine..in Europe we sit down beforehand and negotiate a marriage contract. It spells out all property ,Tters, like dowries, and who will keep what in the event of the marriage being annulled. We both must agree on those things before going ahead with the sere only, and then we usually don't invlove any government in it. If the marriage fails then there is no fighting because we have both signed our honor to it and I have never heard of a person not living up to it. That seems much more fair..by both parties have agreed fairly...rather than. A divorce where the terms are not decided by the Couple so it's impossible to have a fair outcome really It seems strange to me by that is how every other legal contract or partnership in western society works...except for marriage |
Question: Husband tried to kill himself what should I do? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 09:45 AM PDT My husband got drunk and tried to hang himself in the garage -- he had the rope and ladder all set up and in the process of putting the rope on himself. We've had many disagreements over how we should live our life many months before this. He came from a very wealthy family but was emotionally and physically abused by his dad. As a result, he gets depressed and drunk. I was considering leaving him for the past month but now our relationship has escalated to this and I don't know what to do. Should I stay at home, quit my job, and watch him so he does not commit a suicide or leave him for good at which point, he will surely commit suicide. Police came and took him to the hospital. Please advise on what should I do? We have no kids and he is going through counseling but he says he isn't an addict how should I proceed? |

Question: Questions about divorce papers (husband is military)? Posted: 27 Aug 2016 08:48 AM PDT My husband and I split over 4 years ago and he finally sent divorce papers to me and without my knowledge, he filed a restraining order over 4 months ago that pretty much stated I wouldn't be able to ask for any financial help which I'm okay with except that I can't contact him about the papers because in the papers, he lied about our separation (which was 4 years ago and he put we separated this year, I think he did it to keep from getting in trouble because hes in the military and he has been getting bah this whole time we've been separated). I also wanted to go back to my maiden name but he didn't put that in the paperwork. Would it be smart for me to write a note to him in the paperwork and send it back to him unsigned and say I'll sign in when it's fixed? Or would that be against the restraining order? And is the restraining order even valid if its not served to me? He just mailed it to me with the divorce papers and never had anyone serve me. I had no knowledge of the order until I opened the paperwork. Thanks |
Posted: 27 Aug 2016 08:42 AM PDT He says his brother was in 6th grade and my fiance was 5 years old when it started. He said his brother would touch him and do stuff to him and vice versa, all the way up until his brother was a freshman or so. Well right now we are living with his brother and his wife. I'm also close with their mom. He doesn't want to tell anyone else.. but he said him and his brother have never spoken about it. We are all young adults now and he says nobody knows. His brothers wife is also very passive aggressive towards us and only wants us around so we can help pay bills. I also want children soon We have the option of moving back in with his mom, if we do that should she know about this? |
Posted: 27 Aug 2016 07:56 AM PDT My wife shares children with there ex husband. He was verbally and emotionally abusive to her during their marriage and Ive seen some of the texts he has sent her raining form extreme jealous over me, to control issues, to trying to flirt with her. He also has a criminal history involving some really sick stuff. She believes he is innocent and will be around him when her children have birthday parties, sports practices, lunches etc. and be pretty friendly with him. She will even let him come over to our house when I am not there to see his kids since he can't be around them alone. Would this bother you? |

Posted: 27 Aug 2016 05:40 AM PDT My homeboy that's locked up I'm in love with? I been knowing this man for 6 yrs now. Even before he got locked up 2 years ago, he always treated me and my kids good and always helped me with my kids. He always ask me about the kids. He come home next year, my heart is with him n always been. I don't love my boyfriend, all he do is lie, don't help pay bills, and try to sleep with other women. And make excuses about that. I know my homeboy loves me. I always known. I can feel it in my heart. He told me and showed me countless times thru out the years but I never took him serious. He is sick now with kidney failure and he don't look the same no more, but my heart is with this man. Wen I go see him I can tell his self esteem is down and he don't want me to look at him but I don't care this man has my heart. My heart melts wen ever I see his face. I can't stop smiling at him. My boyfriend no about him he just don't no how I feel about him neither does my homeboy no I love him deeply. I told my boyfriend i dont want him he refuse to let go. What should i do? |

Posted: 27 Aug 2016 01:56 AM PDT When he was deployed he would tell me he would take over once he got back. Now that he's back, I'm still taking care of my baby, which I don't mind at all but I need sleep also. Last night when my baby woke up from his sleep, it was around 1 am, I asked him if he could kindly rock our son back to sleep, and he said no, that I got it. I don't know why he said he would take over when in reality, now that he's back, every time he would come home from work he would also say he has to go somewhere and take care of something and that he would be back. He then comes home around past 7 or 8 and my baby has already gone to sleep. But when his parents and or his family come over to our house he is home in a heart beat. What should I do! I am sleep deprived and a tired mom. Any tips ? |
