I told my parents I was spending the night at my friends house but I was really going to a huge party. I feel ashamed because we all got so trashed and I showed up by myself. Of course there was plenty of people I knew there that I'm friends with but none of them were my close friends but I'm still pretty good friends with them. So when I got home my parents were suspicious of what I did last night so I said you know I'm tried of lying and I told them straight up about everything that happened and they were upset and disappointed. They were mostly mad that I went by myself without any of my closest friends because I could've put myself in harms way. I understand all of this and I understand them grounding me but I told them I was so sorry and ashamed and that I would never do it again because I really don't want to. I'm going to start my senior year in less then a week and my grounding is I can't have my phone, I'm not aloud to spend the night anywhere again and if I want anyone over they have to come here, I can't do anything social unless its at my house (so that means I can't even hang with my guy friends anymore), I can't go to any high football games or events (including my senior hoco and prom), and I'm now not aloud to go to senior week next summer. It so upsetting cuz now I'm missing out on the only year that counts(senior year;theyear to make memories) I might go in a depression |

Posted: 22 Aug 2016 05:27 PM PDT I lived in the same city for almost 5 yrs and i cant so much as find anyone to have a cup of coffee with. not sure why. not even with neighbors, i live in an apartment building. before i lived here i used to work in resorts and always had someone to do stuff with and even before that but for some reason i just cant do it here. even in church, if i go to church i see people there but i dont get those dinner invitations after or invited to go anywheres with anyone. they have activities in church sometimes but its not the same, its not like i got individually picked to do something with someone. I suppose i could ask them and ive thought of that but i feel like theyre not interested cause they never ask me. Im not doing nothing wrong that i know of but people wont even sit with me in church let alone invite me anywheres, and yes i do shower so thats not it. Im just tired of doing everything alone. bad enough i dont get asked out on dates but i cant even hang out with anyone. ive wondered if i should get a pet but im out of work so im not sure its the best time, my apt building will allow small dogs or cats so ive thought of just buying a friend. why are people so distant? im not the type to get in trouble, dont do drugs, and never been in jail, dont even drink. you would think someone would want friends like that. any suggestions? its not the area cause i see people going out with their friends all the time, my neighbors knock on each others doors all the tim |

Obviously, my friend is heartbroken that her sister left, just like that and she doesn't want anything to do with her. She went to pick up her stuff from their house today, and she left. My friend is distraught. She thinks that her sister hates her and that she will never see her again. How can I help her? She lives far away from me now, so I can't see her in person. I'm an 18 y/o male,and last month I've been to a club,trying to meet new people.I knew that a lot of students from my school went there,so I thought it would be a safe place.I know I had only one sip of alcohol from my friend that got wasted later on,like most people at that party.I only drank soda or water,otherwise.I got really nauseous and couldn't see straight.The next day I woke up with an awful headache in my friend's room,who apparently dragged me to his appartment while still drunk.And now,there's this video going around my city(mostly in my school)and it's with me sexually harrasing some of the girls at that club.It couldn't watch half of the video,but I saw the girl screaming and running when I was grabbing them violently.I swear I wouldn't do that to anyone,and I KNOW that wasn't me in that video.I'm the only person who believes I was drugged.I lost most of my friends since then,and I my family hates me for it.A lot of people started calling me names,saying I am a rapist.I even got in a serious argument with my class master for it.She said that this is bad image to my high school,and that I could get expelled for it.Most of the girls are really scared and disgusted of me.I feel so pathetic and stupid.I definetly can't go to the police,since don't have any clue at all,,but I feel like my whole life is tearing apart.Is there anything I can do at all? |

In my freshman year I used to have lots of friends since I played football but since I dropped out at the beginning of my sophomore year I barely talk to them anymore. We had a friend group with so many seemingly nice people. For months were were a group till they turnt their back on me. Pushed me out so suddenly. Apparantly they don't like me anymore which is a wierd reason to kick someone out of a group. I did nothing wrong. I was just being me. Apparanly frenemy told me she didn't like me for a while, which just makes more sense for her to be the one manipulating everything and acting all nice and friendly. She has to be the one behind all this and for that alone I will get my revenge. You don't as a group, come together to spontaniously tell a member you don't like them anymore, there is more behind this. Said frenemy is a danger to me. She could be planning something new to destroy me anytime now. Her social influence is large and expanding and I need to strike where it hurts most. Anyway she is so mean to me about everything! She teases me because she is a "woman" and I am just a "girl". Back when I was still about as flat chested as a child and she was just growing, she laughed and teased me constantly about how I was so flat and she was so huge (she was pretty tiny too js) now she treats me like I am so dumb and she laughs at me and makes fun of me because of the music I listen too and because I am not as good as she is at basketball. She also doesn't know when to stop pushing me around (literally). We were at a hotel once for softball and she pushed me into the pool. I got sick that night because I swallowed the water. A few weeks later she pushed me into a lake. I got super mad at her and stopped talking to her for a really long time, but she still continues to tease me. What can I do???? |

We've been best friends since fourth grade, and only fought about once a year until my sophomore year, when we never fought at all. I thought we had finally resolved our petty differences, but it turned out that she had a crush on me, which then caused a lot of minor problems that were easily fixed. But after that, she refused to listen to me talk about my own love life because it hurt her feelings. It's understandable to a point, but she shuts me out when talking about my feelings (i.e. literally gagging and walking in the other direction- I couldn't make this up if I tried!) while also whining to me ALL THE TIME. She's a whiner. We've also been fighting almost constantly since around March. I know this is partially because she's stressed from school and now from being the drum major in band, but she flips out and yells at me for the littlest things all the time, like not having the same opinion on a character as her. She's also pushed me twice and tried to hit me once (she missed, but it would have been a pretty hard punch). I think she's starting to get tired of me, too, because she makes small digs at things I say that she doesn't agree with and also cuts me off to talk about her philosophies and opinions whenever I'm talking about something I believe. And today, two of our mutual friends (who are also done with her) told me she was making fun of/mocking something I said. What should I do? |

Though we didn't start getting really close till earlier this year. We both realized we had feelings for each other and we started "talking" romantically. We were about to start dating when he said he just wanted to be friends but that he wanted to be bestfriends and stay close to me. And I realized I'd rather have him in my life as a friend then not at all, so we've gotten past that (it's been a few weeks). Anyways about a week ago he just stopped texting me and it seemed like he was avoiding me but a couple days ago he told me that he's going through a lot with his family (and I know this is true becuz if his past). He started posting on his snap chat story how he doesn't deserve to be happy and how his family ***** everything up and so I asked him yesterday if he wanted to talk and he said no.Then last night I told him that every one deserves to be happy and he said that he doesn't and I told him that I think he should talk to someone becuz it will make him feel better and he didn't respond. Today he posted more sad comments on his snap chat story and I just wanna help him and comfort him but he doesn't wanna talk to anyone. I understand he doesn't want to talk about it. And I've accepted that but, how do I casually start a conversation knowing he's upset? Can I just say hey or should i ask if he's ok first? I don't wanna bother him..or should I not say anything and just leave him alone? |

They were my first real friends and we used to always hang out with each other, but 2 of my friends moved away and now it was just the rest of my friends. So there is this girl that I've liked since 8th grade and was in the same group as I was in. We were great friends in freshman year and we talked a lot. I moved schools and then came back not only to find out she wanted me to stay there because of all the things my "friends" were saying to her. All except 1 of them and I still hang out with him, but now every time I see them they just ignore me and act like I was not there. Also I went to get my schedule for my classes and I was walking in the hallway and they saw me and went quiet just so they would think I wouldn't see them when I did. I usually never cry for any reason but when that happened it just broke me and i couldn't believe my very first friends who accepted me into their group because I was new, now just want to ignore me. It's obvious the girl that I liked didn't want to talk to me anymore and that must've been the reason why nobody wants to talk to me anymore. What should I do? We're 9th graders and she always dresses really provocative and has swear words on her clothes. She seems really nice and kind to people but sometimes she might act inappropriate like maybe just an inappropriate comment. My parents let me hang out with whoever I want too as long as I'm not doing anything illegal or bad. Lots of kids at my high school fit her type. Without going into too much detail his name is Eric. Since we live at campus we usually go to his moms house since she lives less than an hour away for dinner and hang out. Now I did not meet his mom until last week. I noticed something really weird about how they act around each other. We had a friend group with so many seemingly nice people. For months were were a group till they turnt their back on me. Pushed me out so suddenly. Apparantly they don't like me anymore which is a wierd reason to kick someone out of a group. I did nothing wrong. I was just being me. Apparanly frenemy told me she didn't like me for a while, which just makes more sense for her to be the one manipulating everything and acting all nice and friendly. She has to be the one behind all this and for that alone I will get my revenge. You don't as a group, come together to spontaniously tell a member you don't like them anymore, there is more behind this. Said frenemy is a danger to me. Posted: 22 Aug 2016 11:19 AM PDT I am 17 years old & going to be a senior this year, I have been a starter on the Varsity football team since a Freshmen Year, & a 2x State Qualifier for Wrestling, but i find my teammates more of buds instead of friends because I don't really fit in with them at all and they hardly talk to me outside of small talk. I Lift Weights everyday from around 6am-10am & 4pm-8pm during school. This wasn't always the case though, I use to be a talkative and Social person.But I feel like it all changed when I entered High school, during Freshmen year all my friends started to go off in parties drinking & so forth but i always declined to go because I think drugs and Alchol will hurt me more then help me. I started to Talk less, socialize less and really just stay alone unless spoken too. I began to go to and from class directly, sit in the library during lunch because i usually pack my lunch (gotta keep them calories in check).Slowly and surely I moved away from all my "friends" and the ones i still stayed in contact with became pot heads and Drunks so i stopped talking to them. relationship wise, I haven't had a girlfriend since Sophmore summer, even though I really want one and their is alot of girls interested in me, i haven't really found anyone worth while for me. I am kinda starting to think I don`t really need any friends besides the people i talk to online and the Weights I lift everyday. I find Lifting weights alot more fun then interacting with other people. |
