Is it okay for me to blame my parents for not forcing me to make homeworks when I was 6-7 years old? I remember as a child, I could do whatever I wanted. They would ask me if I had homeworks, I could just say no and they wouldn't do anything, they just said 'fine'. And even when they found out that I was a fück-up in school, they never had any interest in 1. making me do it, and 2. help me with it. Because I really suck at math. And they knew that. But they just never wanted to help me, even when I was little. I only think they have helped me 10 times in my life with my school work. I dont know if this is normal or not, or if I just lack responsibility? Second is, they've never ever given me anything. They're both teachers and earn a lot of money, but my room looks like a prison. I've been to my friend's rooms and most of them have TV, a big bed for 2 people, Playstation. I only have a 1-man bed and a table and a closet. And then 1 guitar, but thats something I have bought for my own money. My room is like a prison. I have a girlfriend and I have never had her home, because I dont have a good room we can be in, and I never ever have friends home either. I dont even have a big enough bed to share with my girl!! Am I being a spoiled kid for saying this or is it okay for me to be mad?

I play lots of video games. Mostly counter strike. I ve had a histor of being very competitive and sometimes getting angry when my team doesn t try. Recently I have stopped this completely, and have improved my anger issues. The other night, though, I was playing another game (League of Legends) with my friends. They started to not try, so I told them to start. They lashed out at me and started personally insulted me, to which I started to yell at them. My dad came out of his room and told me to take a break. I didn t want to, so I started playing counter strike. This time, the game was very close (Tied at 11-11, all we had to do was win 4 rounds) when my dad turned my computer off. I started yelling (since he was in another room) for him to turn it on, but he seemed very lazy about it. He said that he did turn it on, but my computer still would not turn on. I started freaking out but then realized there was nothing I could do and went to bed. The next day he took me to lunch and explained how he was going to take my computer away for the rest of Highschool (I m a freshman) I laughed at this, thinking he was kidding, to which he responded "Be fu**ing greatful! You wouldn t even have a computer if it wasn t for my you little pr*ck! You re going to have to find a new sport to do, because you re never seeing your computer again! What do I do? I am a Step mom to a 6 yr old I have been in his life since he was 2. From day one he has been very loving boy . In the 4 years we have developed a very nice relationship even calls me momma. Me and his mom have not got along until last year she made it impossible for us to see him it was a nightmare. we talked and now get along for his sake. We are totally different in every sense down to how we mom she is the no touching type of person. So I have felt that he has always need that love . Last year he started pre k then goes to daycare after. He became this different child hitting girls, cussing, throwing things, spitting. His mom was told he had ADHD and it would be best to have him on medication. She denied saying she won't ever drug her child . At first when all of this started to happen we were just shocked because he never acted that way at our home. He was loving and always respectful to us and our 2 yrold daughter. Now it progressed and getting worse he now hits and bullies our daughter. He started his 2nd ur of school and already we have the them calling us saying he is acting up. This is gonna be long and bit confusing so please stick with me. So a few minutes ago my sister (20) told me (18) to not go in her room and get water bottles and she said " I don t know what made you think it was okay, but it s not" in a really rude tone. So yes, I did take the bottles from her room but it wasn t for me, it was for my mother who recently had surgery and needs water. But my sister just moved back in after living with her boyfriends parents and has been causing lots of issues, first she adopted a dog (German Shepard) who she thought would live with them but she neglected him and eventually just kinda passed him onto us even though we already have a dog and he isn t house trained and bites, we really just don t want him to go back to the shelter. Secondly we ve and yes me too had to buy her and set up for her new furniture since she moved back in. I finally found the courage to leave my emotionally and financially abusive boyfriend after 15 years. I left with nothing but my two kids. He has everything we owned because he bought it all with his money. He took my car. He's living in the house while the kids and I are living in my sisters basement. It's not a gross a basement and I'm grateful that she is letting us stay here. I found a job and start on Monday but I have to ride the bus and I have to leave 2 hours early just to make it there on time. I don't want to sound like I'm whining but I really need a car. It's thruderstrom season here and standing in a thunderstorm with my 3 year old makes me so upset. I have to take him to daycare and then walk to my job that's the reason I have to leave so early. I'll do what I have to. I just really need some help and don't know where to turn. My sister can't do it because of her work schedule and my parents left us when we where little. I have no friends that can help. I'm feeling really sad but trying to stay grateful. I know that this will pass and one day I'll be fine. But I just wish I had some help. ok so i'm soo fed up with driving and i have my permit and it's like my 4th time driving on the road and when i drove he constantly kept yelling at me super loud as if that was supposed to help me drive better. i'm SOO motherf*cking annoyed and pissed right now like i have a headache and i'm literally so angry and sad and crying rn in my room which may seem childish but like don't yell at me when i'm seriously trying my best. that was not fun and idk i just felt like sharing this and wondering if i'm overreacting or if anyone haa gone through this too as a teenager??

Lately I've been super stressed because school will be starting up again soon. I'm homeschooled, and I have been for pretty much my whole life, being ahead by most people my age (I'm 16) and mostly having older friends over the internet because I tend to understand them better. I feel a little upset that school is starting back up because I'm not used to it anymore, I'm in Grade 12, my final year, but due to circumstances with my old school program my grandmother put me into another, I have a feeling that once my transcripts are reviewed that I'll be considered an "honour student" and have to take really hard classes and won't have time for much else. I'm forced to take psychology by HER, even though my desired field of work has nothing to do with it and I currently think it would be useless to my future career as either a graphic designer or animator. I'm blamed for almost everything in the house now. My aunt is a bit of a slob and tends to leave the kitchen very messy - my great grandmother usually cleans it for her, but then complains about how lazy she is under her breath. If I was in the kitchen prior, she'd always mutter to me how I've never done anything for as long as I've been living here and that I'm a lazy, ungrateful teen that needs "help." Most of the time, if I truly try to do anything huge I'm told not to worry about it, so I don't... I dunno what to do, i try to do the right thing but I'm told to shut up or go away often (Had to put an extra paragraph here because that wasn't long enough to explain my situation) I'm blamed for when my aunt messes up the kitchen because I "Don't do enough around the house" and should wash her dishes and clean the house anyway. I only eat once or twice a day and I never make a mess in the kitchen at all. When I tell my grandmother about my great grandmothers yelling, I'm told off and I get the "well, she's probably got dementia" excuse, and then she yells at me too. I also don't have a room to myself ever since we moved here about 3 years ago due to personal circumstance, but ever since then my grandmother's been getting sick internally, but they aren't sure what it is. I try to stay out of the way and ask her if she needs anything or wants me to do something, but I get declined every time...I think it's also okay to say that she also has bipolar disorder, is a manic depressive, has BPD, anxiety, and many other mental issues to date, but IS medicated. In response to what I said just before, I also confronted my aunt about the kitchen and house situations - and she simply laughs and shrugs, as if it is ALL meant to be my responsibility. Whenever anyone asks her to do something, she acts like a young child with verbal tics including "meow," just to get attention, or whining like a baby even over the slightest cold or issue. She is naturally unhappy because she dislikes her current job, and I suppose misery loves company. If anything, I try my hardest to just stay out of everyone's way and not say a word. My grandmother keeps claiming that as long as my schoolwork is done, I'm allowed to do whatever I want to - but that proves to be untrue, as even though I would have to do around 8-12 hours of homeschool work per day, she still asks that I do extra enrichment afterward...which leaves me with no time to myself, unless I stay awake past midnight. I have been given many things, so I can be called spoiled, but... I just feel really worthless and unwanted here. Everything lays down on me and I've wanted to die/disappear (yet, not kill myself or anything...) because of it. They don't call this abuse here, and it's just "fair discipline" on the parents/guardians and since I'm 16, I'm told I should "suck it up" and move out if I dislike how I am treated here. I have no money, no family otherwise to house me and I'm basically alone in most situations - but when I explain that, it only causes more tension.

I am 17 about to be 18 in October. I'm still in school and when I turn 18 I want to move out of my mom and Step dad house and go move in with my boyfriend and his family. But my mom and her husband said I can't move out till I am done with school . Is this true ?

Ever since I started using a computer my parents have always had time restrictions, browser restrictions and other security measures. It wasnt until I was 15 that they started letting me use YouTube again and that's when I discovered gaming. I'm 18, and I've built my own computer and I'm moderately familiar with programming but my dad keeps taking my power supply away. I have to BEG and IMPLORE him for it back and I'm sick of it. I'm staying home for one year to take a break from school and I want to get developer experience online and I can't do that if he takes my power supply all the time! How can I tell him that I'm freaking sick of it?!? I am not a citizen of the country I am living in and I can't get a work visa.

Hell I paid the bill. She thinks it was wrong but they had to dig one of my teeth out. I just had laughing gas and shots. I didn't even get an iv or a valium. She thinks that me getting laughing gas to remove two wisdom teeth was silly. How is it silly? It relaxed me, made me feel floaty, and it calmed me down. Why are older people like this?

I am a 20 years old student. I am studying in another city and my parents are renting a flat for me there. When my classes end on friday, my mum always comes and picks me home so I can never stay in that city for a weekend (meeting my friend for example). I could nevet have a boyfriend because when no school I literally can't leave home.. I used to meet a guy last semester but it ended because we couldn't meet at weekends because of what I just wrote, and we both didn't have time on weekdays (school). I'm 17 and I have been having some problems at home and I'm not sure if it would be any form of abuse or if it's normal. So basically when this started was when I was young. I was in elementary school and kids didn't like me...at all...they'd call me names and push me around and throw things at me. They started throwing rocks and things at me, like books and food and pens/pencils. I told my parents how I was treated and showed them the marks and they told me to stop lying to them to get some kids in trouble and that I just fell and that I should be liked by other kids. I stopped telling them tthings but since then they haven't ever really listened to me or cared about anything I liked. They yell at me all the time now and call me a brat when I ask them if I can do something. My mom tells me I'm too skinny or that I'm too fat and I'm neither of those. I don't like being home and I have two younger brothers that don't seem to do anything wrong in their eyes unlike me. No matter what I do such as get a good grade in school or do my chores or just write or really anything I'm doing it just seems to be wrong to them. My little brothers are always lying to my parents and calling me names and telling me I'm not good enough and they steal from me. When I tell my parents about the stealing they don't believe me. I'm 14 years old and have a disabled brother aged 20, my life story is pretty major and it's quite hard to keep going in life with a smile. My mum has been abusing me ever since i was a toddler, yes I do need to change my attitude and I need to control my anger but I'm TRYING and no one can see that except me! My mum hits me all the time basically every day she would fling me down the stairs punch me in the face slap me, hair pulling, flung her phone at my face etc... I don't understand why she hates me so much. I've never done anything to her. I just don't want her to hate me because she's the only mom that I have. Please help me. So my aunt and uncle just recently broke up, they have 3 kids together. I live 1300 miles away from my hometown. I was in town twice took a total of 9 days off of work and spent almost 2K on flights. My cousin passed away suddenly as I flew in for my grandfathers funeral I was able to stay for viewing and get together as well as be with my family for a few days as I was there for my grandfathers funeral. Now the services for my cousin are this week the flight would be 1K and I would have to take three days off of work. I don't know what to do. I feel so bad not going but the flight is so expensive. Am I wrong for not attending services it will be a rosary and a mass she has been cremated. Please any advice I would appreciate it.

This past spring break I went to Mexico. I met this 23 year old guy at this club, Before leaving he added me on FB. I'M 20 YEARS OLD BTW. I've been staying with my aunt for going on 2 years now. Fast forward its Aug I decided to inbox John on fb last Sat asking if he'd remembered me from Mexico, he did and we hit it off. My mom stays in Arizona and he stays in New Mexico. I haven't seen my mom since Xmas of last year. So I decided to take 4 days off to fly and go see my mother along with John who lives at a off campus apt in NM since its not so far from my mom. Its been a month since i got out of a abusive relationship with my ex of a year a half. I just wanted to get away from all the stress and tiredness of work to spend time with my mom and get to know John more. John and my mom agreed to everything except my aunt. She feels like I could get hurt by this "stranger". Every one is a stranger outside of family at 1 point right? What's 4 days away from home? College has started for him, and he works but not on the wknd, Fri and Sat the days he was free to take me out then Sun take me to my flight Sun. Does Karma punish those that make fun of us or bully us or wants wrong on us? Because from when I was a child to nowas an adult (20) my brother has been treating me horrible and picking on me. He is almost 30, still living at home and does the same things. He looks down at me, spreads rumors about me and has made it clear that he only wants the worse for me. When I was graduating high school monthes before that he used to say I wouldn't past my test but I proved him wrong. Now that I'm in college he tells people that I'm stupid, a slut, horrible things and that I won't graduate. He got some girl pregnant but moved in with us, they fought becauae he's an asshole but they still live with us. He sticks he's son with me even though he hates me thinks I'll only be good as a babysitter. We fight and he leaves hes son (who loves me which he hates) with me. He gets mad at hes son for loving me though I treat him wonderfully. He tells others I do nothing but I care for, feed, watch and cloth. He tells he's son bad things like I don't buy him toys so I don't love him... End of story is I've been waiting for karma for him but nothing has come. Hes friends treat me horribly, call me ugly and make fun of my clothes. They've even called out horrible names at me while driving. All this and he doesn't get any Karma? It's hard for me to keep my fate after do long

So he is moving out of his house that he lives in, in my city and he has been living off his savings for over a year. He says he not going to be homeless and that he has options: either his son's mom or daughter's mom. I keep asking where he's going and he tells me he doesn't know yet. He is leaving is less than a week and i feel like I am somewhat in the dark. He talks about helping one of the moms save money and it gives him an opportunity to watch him while she works. I don't have my own place yet but he told me that he'll only visit me on one condition: that I have my own place. I plan on being in place in a couple of months but I feel that it is unfair for him to do that. I also feel like there is no relationship at all. We've been together for a year and a half and he has kept me hidden from both women. He keeps talking about wanting a future with me but deep down I know it's not going to happen. He says he has NO where to go but he is being very picky on what jobs he applies for. is it reasonable for him to stay with his baby mama until he finds employment?

On a Saturday morning around 8am, I'm in my room just getting ready for church until I hear racket in my sister's room above me. (I decided to take the space in the the basement as my room.) My mother is a very angry woman, stubborn with anger issues. I'm annoyed this has to go on so early in the morning, though she had a right to get mad at my sister because her room is always a mess (that's why I didn't want to share blame anymore). Soon after, I hear my mother move to the living room, still talking. I walk out of my room to cross the hall to get to the bathroom. I hear her talking about me, and my immediate reaction was to suck my teeth. Didn't mean for it to be loud, but it carried to her sharp ears. I just hate how she always says I don't care about anyone, that I'm spoiled and think everyone is gonna wait on me, that I'm lazy, etc. I'm 18, going to college (plan on leaving), help out around the house, but it seems as if she's comparing me to my days and mistakes when I was 14 still. She's so quick to react and not trying understand me at all. Still, I don't suck my teeth on a regular like that. That's why I had no control over the volume, I'm usually a very quiet and controlled person, unless when my mother is involved. I am aware that such an act is rude when some one of higher status is talking to you. Though she said that I was still being disrespectful to her because I reacted on her words, even when she wasn't even talking to me to begin with. Is that still true?

I am a 13 year old male, 5' 4". My mom and dad split up about 2 years ago, and I went to live with my mom in her house up north. About 4 years ago, our doctor told us I was underweight, but I should put on some weight during puberty. Well since I went to live with my mom she hasn't been the same. She is out of work right now, and we live off of what my Dad sends every month. Since they split up, my mom has been concerned about my weight. I am homeschooled so I'm with her all day. She has made me weigh every day, and feeds me a ton of food. She fixes me 5-6 pancakes with syrup and butter, and makes me eat them. Then I'll watch tv or do school till lunch. Then for lunch she'll order me a whole pizza, or a few burgers. She tells me if I don't eat them, I can watch tv, and have to do extra work. Then for dinner I get either another pizza or some more fast food. Plus she constantly feeds me chips and ice cream in between meals. If I don't eat what she gives me, she either takes something away or I have to do more school. I loved it at first, but since living with her I went from 85 lbs, to 160 lbs. Now I look at myself, and see how fat I am. This month she is getting me a milkshake every night before bed, and I I do this for 1 month she'll get me a ps4. It's like she's obsessed with me being too skinny or something. What should I do?

Her friend is 18 and I'm 19. We recently started dating but kept it from my sister cause I wasn't sure how she'd react. Then we started having sex. I love her friend so much and I know she loves me too. I'm just worried my sister won't like it because if we start having problems then she might lose a friend. Me and my sister are extremely close and I don't want that to change. Should I let her know about everything? Is she going to be upset?

She tries to alienate my affection for my step-Mom but everything I read it is only against the law if she does it to my Dad. Not sure why she is jealous when she divorced my Dad and it has been a long time.

Will people think I am uninterested in future family events On my Mom's side of the family, my mother used to refuse to attend family events due to some issues she had so now that I am an adult I make up lost time and go. If for some reason I can't make it to one I don't want people to think I am turning into my mother.

My college instructor (he taught me cane mobility) recently died & we were extremely close, so it's been hard on me. Although his sister & I have become very close through grieving the loss of him.. We've never met, but we stay in contact through fb messages. sharing memories, stories, dreams we have of him, we've gotten very close.
