My mom asked me for my phone to call her and my friend said that her and her chaperone cancelled the party because of the rain, which sounded like b.s. and I said okay. Later on, I was on Snapchat and I found out that the party wasn t cancelled and everyone was having some much fun. So the next day, I texted her how was the "party" and she never responded. Should I still be her friend or should I move on? |

Where I'm from there are clubs that teens are allowed in and they serve alcohol etc. I started to drink gradually, not at parties but at friends houses and stuff. I started to club this summer and I believe my reputation has fallen. I drank and kissed multiple boys (that are friends). Not that I was drunk but because I just took every opportunity I got to kiss someone. I also ended up posting a lot of snaps on my story. I am smart and I do really well in school and I'm really kind to everyone. I don't necessarily associate myseld with the "cool kids" but additionally I'm friends with the quieter and less outgoing people. However after the last night my closest friend who went with me sat me down and told me how bad I looked. Some of my close male friends have also messaged me concerned that I let people take advantage of me and to be careful even though really and truly I know wanted to do these things ( i.e. kiss boys) and would never engage in anything more. However it doesn't portray in this way and I'm hurt by how my friends see me now. Not that they're not my friends anymore because they are and re looking out for me but just that they think I'm a 'drunkie' and a 'whore' who's not responsible. I really want to correct this but it would be too much to talk to every single person that saw me at the clubs. I felt like I was drowning, and was absolutely terrified of telling anyone. Recently my friend was assaulted by her ex boyfriend. She told her friends, and has the nicest support group. The school literally made like an army in support of her. And it's great, but I just feel kind of crappy that all my fears of no one listening to me weren't valid, ya know? |

Junior year came around and she began to change, she started smoking and drinking because our other best friend does that, I don't do that. I just don't really like it but that's ok if they do it I don't judge them, but anyway she started completely like distancing herself from me, barely talking to me, she and our other best friend stopped inviting me to hang out, answer my texts hours later or sometimes never even answers me. I would show them I appreciated them or just tell them I'm always here for you, we would always hang out But then she decided to follow the other best friend. we didn't talk for a few weeks and texted me saying "I'm so sorry, I miss you, I've been such a shitty friend, I miss you" and I was like it's ok, but it hurt me. So she had surgery on her broken leg so I brought her ice cream and some other things and she was crying to me saying I'm so sorry I didn't make u feel like u were important to me. Then she asked me to hang out last week she said she couldn't bc she had other plans then I said ok lol even after u asked me then they got cancelled so she asked me but then I made plans and she got mad. Lately I've been practicing a lot, making rapid improvements, won the placement auditions at school, and live a very happy comfortable life by myself even despite breaking up with someone a couple months ago. I don't know what it is but no matter how well/consistent I play and how nice a try to be to people, they just seem to be really annoyed with me. I didn't do anything to anyone, I don't gossip behind peoples back because I have no friends, and because I have no desire to do so. All I care about is winning a job. I've advanced in 3 auditions in one school year, when most people at my school haven't advanced in anything or too scared to do auditions. Even my teacher seems to be annoyed with me. Also note I don't care about recieving attention and I am a quiet person. Am I being annoying? Or is it just jealousy? |

Frankly, I don't get what's so wrong with people hanging out with different age groups. You'll have to deal and get along with different people when you're working, right? So why try to prevent or discourage children from hanging out with whoever they want? You can't be stuck with people exactly the same age as you 24/7. There's nothing "mentally wrong" with someone wanting to befriend someone outside their age group, at the end it's all just friends and people who wanna be in your life. My best friend is 19 now and there's nothing wrong with her, she's a perfectly normal young person. My parents allow it and there's nothing wrong with them, they're a couple with three kids living in a normal house. |

His mom was a great cook and her meals were to die for. We became good friends. John said she was going to be lonely after he left and ask me to let her continue to cook me some meals. I gladly said yes. At one of these meals, she told me she was going to start dating again and hoped to find a husband but she didn't know if any guy would be interested in dating a 40+ year old women. I told her with her beautiful face and gorgeous figure she could have any guy she wanted. She said " I haven't had a date in over 20 years. I know dating has changed in that time. Would you tell me what dating is like today?" I said sure, what do you want to know. She said "Would a guy expect sex on the first date"? I told her they might expect it but that is not a reason they should get it. You should have sex when YOU are ready. I told her I think she probably would get a marriage proposal very soon. I continued to get handjobs and to finger her for a couple years (I'm now 14 almost 15) and the last time it happened was November. It maybe happened 5 times give or take a time or 2. After it happened one of the times I began to feel extremely guilty for it, believing I was too young (which I was in heinsight). After many weeks of working it out with myself I finally stopped feeling guilty about it. It only happened once after that which was months later. I never felt guilty about that one. It's now 9 months later and I had never told anyone about it until recently. The other day I finally told 2 of my closest friends and their reaction was not what I hoped for. It was less about the age factor but more about the fact that I did it with a long term friend whom we have all known for 8+ years. After their reaction I started thinking about it and now I feel super guilty about it. I was too young. The guilt has been controlling my life the last couple days and I can't focus on anything other than it. Advice?? |

Do they get some kind of sick satisfaction out of calling other peoples names? Do they think its cute, attractive, mature, appealing? I sure don't think it does. Are they trying to make themselves feel better? They insult me and my friend as an example " you gopher looking ************." or "**** face" or a new one that really hurt my friend. (she has acne scars on her face, and she looks totally fine to me) but this one person keeps calling her Freddy Kruger and makes fun of her depression. i was so mad. she said she didnt care, i could really see the hurt in her face. Posted: 15 Aug 2016 08:16 AM PDT Im 13 and I'm not going to lie my parents have money and we live in an upper class area in a big house with a pool and everything. I had my friends over yesterday and they all immediately started saying I'm so lucky to live here. Saying my room is bigger than their house or bigger than their kitchen. It made me a little uncomfortable because even though I know my parents have money I don't feel lucky. I feel greatful for living where we do but my family life isn't good. I rarely ever see my parents because they work so much. When they are home my dad eats in his office and my mom is always on the phone. I had a choir concert before summer started and they didn't even show up. Now that my friends know where I live everytime I vent to them about something they say "Oh boo hoo you never see your family, you have a giant house you should be happy". It's like because my parents have money I'm not aloud to have feelings about anything. They even treat me different now too so I'll invite them over more. I'm just sad now because I use to be able to talk to them but now I cant. That's why I waited so long to invite them over, I knew money would make people treat you differently. What can I do? I m 14 and I ve just moved school, I already knew plenty of people there and I kind of latched myself onto a group but I ve noticed that they never seem to pay much attention to me. I used to be pretty funny, smart and confident but I ve just kind of retracted back into myself and I m really shy. I can t seem to make anyone laugh anymore and the only real friend I have is my younger sister but she is three years younger and goes to a different school. I m really lonely and everyone just seems to slowly distance themselves from me.
