Question: How many $ to give or spend to/on my grand niece for her wedding? Posted: 18 Aug 2016 06:35 PM PDT My grand niece, whom I hardly know is getting married. I doubt if I've even spoken to her more than once or twice in my life. But my wife and I received an invitation. We don't plan to attend as the travel and time would be an issue. I've always sent $40 or $50 to each of my nieces and nephews for their weddings. This is the 1st of any of my siblings grand children to get married. My relationship with her grandmother (my sister) is somewhat strained due to religious issues - we rarely talk. Do I keep sending the $40/$50 I've always sent. Do I just not send anything and ignore the invitation? It's what I'm tempted to do, and it's not RSVP. Would it offend my sister and her daughter, the mother of the bride? We really don't have much of a relationship, but I would like to keep the lines of communication open. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |
Question: Should my fiancée and I buy a house before the wedding? Posted: 18 Aug 2016 04:01 PM PDT What is a better way to go about this? We are thinking about buying a house before our wedding, so we can move in right after the wedding. Or should we wait till we return from our honeymoon to go home hunting? Which would be less stressful. The first option seems like we would be a little more stressed because we'd have to deal with the house paperwork, plus the wedding planning. But it would be nice to move into the home right after the wedding as well. What do you guys think? |
Question: Should I just let it go? Posted: 18 Aug 2016 12:00 PM PDT I was invited to my boyfriend s cousin s bridal shower that her mom and my boyfriend s mom were hosting. A few days before it, I told his mom that I wasn t able to attend. Few weeks later, she thanked me for the gift. What gift? I haven t given her a gift yet! Apparently, his mom purchased an item for her and put my name on it! I had made it clear to her that I was going to give her a monetary gift the wedding. Should I just let it go? My boyfriend has some female cousins who will get married in the future, so this will probably happen a few more times. |
Question: What is some sweet romantic music to play when you have sex ? Posted: 18 Aug 2016 10:44 AM PDT Getting married tomorrow and I want to make tomorrow night really special for my wife. She's actually a virgin (I'm not) and I never thought I'd wait until marriage to have sex with someone. What are some really romantic songs to play? I already have some candles and rose petals in the closet, but now I need some music ideas? Anyone know anything good? :) |
Question: Is this a good idea for a wedding gifts? Posted: 18 Aug 2016 08:29 AM PDT I was thinking of making a decently sized piece of wood (12inx24inx.5in) and carve the names of the bride and husband into it in a fancy font (both with his last name of course) then put a nice stain on the wood and probably paint the carved names in white. Any other ideas? |
