We've been to each other's house and we grab drinks/party together a lot. She knows my secrets and I know hers. Everytime she introduces me or mentions me to someone she says "my coworker" it's been a year! I refer to her as my friend and it bothers me that she still calls me her coworker. We're really close so I'm confused. She doesn't refer to friends that she just met as "classmates" or "bar person" should I say something to her about it. I know she's gonna say I'm dramatic & maybe I am. |

The man vacations in the hamptons and his children have college paid for and two of them are still in high school. He does things for me because he cares and she feels like I should refuse the gifts sometimes because it would be something for his kids to have. I don't get her rationale and it made me angry. He's a financially stable and can do what he wants. We aren't officially in a relationship but like each other. My friend never has had a man do anything nice for her so am I wrong for feeling judged and angry about this? she went on the say I didnt understand because I don't have children. Saying I don't know the struggle but he doesnt have a struggle in taking care of his kids and talks about how blessed he is in career and money. |

I was stupid freshman year (and kinda a *****) and thought the angsty "I'm so cool because I don't care about anything (which I actually did) and I'm so post-grunge" act was cool. On top of that, I was generally kind of annoying and pushed the good people away while trying to be cool. And I pittied myself rather then pushing myself to do better. I definitely shot myself in the foot. Sophomore year I quieted down, when someone knocked some sense into me. I was depressed because I lost some close friends from the previous year, and got decentish grades. I spent most of the year trying to make up for my annoyingness and tried to please people by playing it on the safe side. I don't think think anyone really noticed how annoying I was, considering they were too but I'm afraid people will remember me as annoying? Any tips on how to manage this? Or what and what not to do? Also note, I don't want advice from anyone who's younger. |

When we moved I was going into my freshman year of high school days later. Before we moved I was, obviously, in eighth grade, but I just started making real friends that I would actually hangout with and stuff so I was really bummed when we moved although I knew we were going to before I even became friends with anyone. Once school started I went into a depression for about six months and had the worst time of my life. I visited home several times and I think that's the only thing that kept me going. I have older siblings and my dad opened an office down here so they can't move back home, but we still have our house in Connecticut and I've been trying to talk them into letting me finish high school in Connecticut. We spent the summer at our cottage and I got to see my friends almost everyday and this made me want to move back even more. I've met about five people I'd miss if I did move back, but that's not too bad compared to about 20 I miss in Connecticut. It's really hard to go through your high school years when your best friends are 1,200 miles away and I miss them terribly. I've tried explaining these points to them since the day I moved down here. My grandmother who lives in Connecticut has also tried helping me to get us to go back. I apologize for dragging this on but I've tried everything to get them to let me move back. |

Granted there are some women who may be the common denominator because they provoke other women and act cruel and mean, but to generalize all of them is completely unfair and ridiculous. To me, I have problems getting along with women because I try to make friendly conversations with them, and they either talk to me and obviously sounding uninterested or they just ignore me completely. I walk up to a guy to talk and the majority of them act friendly. Let me guess, it's my fault for not getting along with the girls, right? My stance on this is that you can either generalize all females who have problems getting along with women or grow up and realize that certain women are different and that they have different stories on why they don't get along with other females. |

| Question: Why does this popular girl hate me? Posted: 08 Aug 2016 11:28 AM PDT Hey! I was wondering why does this popular girl hate me? She is your stereotypical popular girl, slutty, bratty, spoiled, and of course popular. She is well-known, but she is really hated a lot. She has a whole group of girls who consider themselves as the pretty girls. Everytime I hang out with someone she tries to steal them away from me to join her group. I have done absolutely nothing to her and yet she still hates me. She usually whispers in her friend s ear and looks directly at me. Then after she finishes her comment she looks at me in disgust. I learned all of this by one of my friends that are friends with her. I don t know the exact reason because my friend was never told. Her friends are really nice, but she is the only bitchy one. I am a pretty go-lucky person because I am friendly towards all of her friends, but she is a REAL ***** to me... All in all, can someone please help me? |

| Question: Afraid to go anywhere on my new guys motorcycle? Posted: 08 Aug 2016 11:16 AM PDT So have a group of friends from college that I always hang out with. About 6 or 7 of us. Well one of our gy friends brought his friend to hang out oe day and he fit right into the group. We started texting and hanging out at places near my house. He has been wanting to go out, just us two, but he only drives a motorcycle and Im afraid to ride on it. It's one if the sport kind. He took me for a short ride really slow around the parking lot and that was OK but I don't know how I'll feel in traffic. Plus he only has one helmet and jacket so he made me wear them and then he doesn't have any protection. He doesn't have a car and neither do I so I don't know what to do. I am planning to buy my own gear bur what do I do until then. How can I build the courage to ride? |

Posted: 08 Aug 2016 10:57 AM PDT I mean my cousin and I had no choice but to kick my ex friend out because she doesn't respect our rules, she takes stuff without asking and thinks she freeload us. Plus she lied to us that she has been looking for a job. My cousin told me that she has got to go! My ex friend left the shower on for an hour n a half and my cousin was furiOS with her and forced her to help her to pay it off. She insulted us and blamed everyone else but herself. She was like, "What? Truth hurts? Your car is a piece of trash and I don't need f*cking lectures from rotten b*tches like you and your stupid cousin!" when my car bto me down. She kept fighting with us and I just blew up on her and called her out, "We are sick of your lies and you freeloading us and to be blunt, you're making us miserable. Everything was great until you came to live with us. You need to put big girl panties on, stop expecting everyone to take care of you, stop crying to your mom and dad and GET A JOB!" Then her cousin said, "You're 25 years old for crying out loud! We can't do this anymore. You need to start finding somewhere else to live! We want you out my tomorrow morning!" I told her we dont for free and if she wants to live somewhere, you have to make rent. Eventually someone she knew got her and THANK GOD SHE'S GONE. Honestly, we don't feel bad about what we did and we got our place back and stress free! I mean we were nice to her until she got bossy, rude, manipulating and insulted us. She insulted my cousin? MY family? HELL NO, of course I called her out. I'm not going to be nice about it. |

Posted: 08 Aug 2016 10:28 AM PDT Im not sure if its just me but growing up and interacting with people I have noticed people treat others more "friendly" to certain people and kind treats the other people in the group like they don't exist.It kind of makes me sad personally because I am the type of person that wants to be friends with everyone and makes me feel more lonely seeing this kind of behavior from people.Like for example there is a group chat and there is always that small few that REALLY like talking to each other and search for each other in chat to start a conversation. Fake names to keep it anonymous EX: ashley:Good morning guys! Leon:Good morning Ashley! others reply:Good morning! starts conversation Leon: Oh...but Ashley hates me Ashley: No I dont! Leon:I love you too! further into the conversation Catie: Where have you been Leon?You didnt reply to me yesterday! Leon: I was sleeping Leon:But I have to go somewhere Catie:What where?! Im not sure if my example helps but people tend to leave others hanging making them feel bad because they are not getting engaged into the conversation.And to avoid making others feel bad the guy "Leon" tells Ashley and Catie that he loves them and a few mins later tells everyone else he loves everyone else too.I dont know in my opinion it just seems like he only wrote that message to those two people and tried covering it up by saying he also cared about everyone else.And for those that are curious this is from a group game chat so we all barely know each other. |

Does that sound worrysome? I mean, sexual maturity depends on age and not looks... And her saying that makeup makes sex with an underaged girl less pedophilic sounds quite pedophilic. Because 13 is still 13 even if she has some makeup that makes her look older. And my former friend is 29. Should I report her somewhere? |

Posted: 08 Aug 2016 10:04 AM PDT School starts soon, and I have no way of knowing what any of my friends schedules are, so I feel like I'll probably end up sitting alone on the first few days. I don't really mind it, but I don't want people to think I'm weird and don't have any friends. So I guess what I'm asking is, do you think it's weird for people to sit alone at lunch? I would probably be on my phone or reading. Should I try and find someone to sit with on the first day? Last time I did that, it really didn't work out. I know people, and they know me, but we aren't 'friends' per se. I have one friend who is very, very, close to me. She's like a sister and we're alike in almost every way possible. However, I have grown to realize that our friendship is hurting me mentally. She, like myself, has frequent panic attacks, but, unlike me, makes a big show of them. That's not the problem, as I get that people express feelings in different ways. However, these have happened so frequently and I have to care for her everytime, my anxiety has skyrocketed and I feel wiped out when I'm with her in public. I love her to bits, but I don't know what to do. I don't want to lose her friendship, yet I care about my own mental health as well. I'm tired of being a caretaker 24/7, and I just want to help myself. Is that selfish of me? |
