When I went to visit I asked if he wanted to hang out and he said no, when I asked if he wanted to go to the beach he said "I despise the beach" Yet all last week he went on a beach holiday (I wasn't invited on the holiday) with the rest of our cousins. Why would my cousin go on holiday with the rest of the family yet leave me to walk around alone. I visited him BEFORE he and the rest of my relatives went on their family holiday

I'm 17, and I turn 18 in the fall. I'm going to be a full time student in college, and I am working also at my school to pay for college and I am saving up to move the **** out. My dad is forcing me to work for his business but I won't have time because of all of the stuff I'm already doing ( full time student/job) He said I have to do it or he'll beat me. He always beat me because he is abusive and love to treat people like ****. I couldn't get dorms because my dad refused to co sign for me. What do I do? I don't have to do his work for him AND do all of the other stuff?? I AM PAYING FOR MY COLLEGE BTW it's not that much as I have scholarships LOL

So i moved into my familys house (renting a room). I'm a smoker so i carry lots of cigarettes on me always. I live with a younger cousin. He goes to school fulltime & has no job. Since i moved with family *been two years already*. My cousin is slways asking for cigarettes. I work in construction so i'm under the hot azz sun earning my money just so i can afford my cigarettes & here is this guy coming to me asking for cigarettes 24/7. Today i snapped at him & told him to get a job so he can buy stuff on his own. He got offended i can tell but said nothing. Did i do the right thing???? Keep in mind for two years or so i been giving him cigarettes for free but enough is enough.

Okay before you call me a needy brat, let me explain. I'm the older son, I'm 16, and my brother is 14. I love my dad a lot, but I don't get to see him much cuz he works and travels a lot. When he gets an opportunity to do something really cool, he chooses to take my brother every single time. He has not once taken me. At a recent nascar race, he got to go there and represent the company he works for and do the whole "drivers start your engines" thing. Would I have loved to go? Yes. Did I go? No. Did my dad take my brother? Of course he did. My dad knows my brother really well but it seems he barely knows me. I'm the oldest, and yes, I know I have to be responsible about this but I can't help but feel my dad just kind of loves me less. (Also he's not the "sit down and have a chat with" kind of man so please don't recommend I do that. )

So my mom, sister, and I moved to different city and my dad had to stay behind for work. My parents have been fighting and arguing a lot and now don't speak to each other. I'm the middle man(I'm a girl though). My dad was suppose to find work here but now he says he won't move here, He has asked he to move in with him but I turned him down. Just yesterday he asked me to send him my birth certificate or a copy, And he told me to send it in secret, I'm 19 by the way I'm already an adult by law so it's not like a child custody thing. I really am trying to understand why he would want or need a copy of my birth certificate, He doesn't seem to care for my mom at all right now even my sister (also his blood daughter), He's only ever really cared about himself and maybe me a little. I got a note from the school that my 16 year old daughter Lisa was failing math and they recommended a tutor to help her. They sent a list of tutors home with Lisa and I started calling them. All of the tutors were very expensive. Being a single mom, I just could not afford them. I knew a family friend that I thought knew enough math to tutor her and I hoped he would be a lot cheaper. His name was Bill and he was a college senior. I called Bill and asked him if he would tutor Lisa and he agreed to do if for free. He was a great guy for doing this for her. He did tutor Lisa for 3 months. When Lisa got her grade card, she got an A in math. We were both VERY HAPPY and asked Bill go come over so we could tell him the GREAT NEWS. When we told him Lisa's math grade he said that is wonderful news. Lisa told Bill she had to thank him for his help so she kissed him. After she was through kissing him Bill turned to me and said "your turn". I was so excited I kissed him also. We all had a good laugh and a group hug. Bill said "if you need any more help with school subjects, just call me". Some of my friends that I told about this told me what we did was not appropriate and that Bill would get the wrong idea. My take on this is that if Bill was happy and my daughter and I were happy, there is no problem. We were just having fun. What do you think? Did we do something wrong?

My brother gets upset when I give his 5 year old son ice cream when I babysit him. The thing is, I only do it occasionally, and it's a special treat when he gets to visit his uncle. For the past two/three years, we've been fighting almost everyday. It just got worse when she got a boyfriend, as she picks him over me and the other day when he left the house because I came home late from work since they asked me to stay longer, she started screaming at me, throwing things, telling me it's my fault, how I shouldn't have been born, how she hates me because she thought he was going to cheat on her again. I bought the groceries the other day because she didn't have any money, and when I told her I don't really wanna buy that, she freaked out and started insulting me and saying I'm a worthless, ungrateful piece of sh*t. Today, I was making food for myself because I have work soon. I put my dirty dish (one) in the sink and I was going to wash it after I finished eating, but then she started screaming I never clean or anything and how it's "so easy" to please her by just cleaning my own dishes. So whne I was done with my food, I cleaned my own stuff, then she screamed again I should've cleaned the entire kitchen, how she hates me and can't wait for me to move out (I'm 17), how she went through so much trouble to get pregnant just for me to "turn into a monster" how I'll NEVER be successful in life, regardless of my AP classes and high GPA, how I'll suffer so much, how I'm stupid and mentally retarded, how I'm the only kid in the ENTIRE WORLD who doesn't help her. I'm 15 and as long as i can remember my father has been abusive to me. Just 6 months ago i got into an arguement with him and he threw me out and locked me out of my house in the middle of December with the only thing on me was my PJ's, then after 30 minutes being locked out, he comes out and beats the LIVING **** out of me outside. He swears at me all the time and calls me horrible things like a retard, idiot, ******, etc. I remember one time i was talking loudly to my brother a few years ago and my father comes RUSHING into my bedroom and starts beating me with a Fly swatter until the fly swatter breaks and continues to beat me with the end of the handle. he causes so much stress in my life and it doesn't help the fact that i struggle with a speech impediment and being gay. I don't bring any friends nor anyone to my house due to the fear of them seeing my father acting out. I resent my father and try to avoid all contact with him at most times, Am i wrong to do this? and i don't want to call the cops or CPS on him because my friends are all that i got. his behaviour also causes him to get into fights with my mother all the time. I want to move as far as i can from where i live when i turn 18. My father has beaten me with his hands, whipped me with wet towels, Kicks me, and uses fly swatters sometimes, what should i do? I really would not like to call CPS or the cops, should i just live with it until I turn 18? the line "and i don't want to call the cops or CPS on him because my friends are all that i got." ment i do not want to be taken out of my household and placed some where else.

His grandma and I live in the same apt complex and her grandson comes there often, the thing is he's made excuses to text me like did my grandma make it up ok? When he could just call his grandma. He's asked randomly to send me exam prep material online he's studying for too. In the beginning I asked to go out and it didn't work out but we became friends again then he asked me to go eat, I've seen him glance in my apt direction when he goes to his grandmas. When I called him out from all the signs knowing he had a gf and I said a guy who has a gf can't be interested in me and he said he said he wasn't and that he had a gf he was happy with. One day he was giving me gym advice and said "don't you have a bf to teach you all this?" and i catch him glancing over and looking a lot? What's his deal? His parents also look and smile and fidget when they see me.People say friendly but why would he stare and look secretly?? Also, i don't think the gf relationship is serious cause no photos together on fb or ig and his relationship status is hidden and they've been together for 4 years already. He also doesn't go to his grandmas when my car isn't parked and i'm out of town(my roommate tells me) grandma isn't sick or anything. He comes 3x a week to the apts. Can it still happen between us? when we got into the fight I said don't message me again and i told him he's the one chasing me. After the fight a year has passed and he saw me outside and looked and smiled at me. We're both 26 btw When he waits for his grandma to open the door( in front of my kitchen window) he fidgets with his phone and tries hard to not look at me but comes out facing me and looking to see if I'm there. His grandma was also worried when I was gone for a month and went out of her way to find out where I was by sending our neighbor to ask my roommate where i was. I received an inheritance and in deciding what to do with it, I decided to give my ex wife Betty $30,000. I know this may sound unusual but we had a friendly divorce and she worked and paid my way through college when we were married. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I sent her an email telling her what I planned to do. She emailed me back that her current husband would not let her take the money because it made him look bad. I thought that is kind of strange but it is her decision so I just forgot about it and used the $30,000 for something else. A YEAR later I got an email from Betty that she was getting a divorce and she could take that $30,000 now. I told her I was sorry but I had already spent it and it was no longer available. She told me she understood and that she had made a big mistake turning it down in the first place. Then I got a letter in the mail from Betty's soon to be ex husband wanting his share of the $30,000. If this wasn't so outrageous it would have been funny. I just threw the letter in the trash and did not respond to it. I did not tell Betty about his letter. I did not want to cause her any more problems. Please tell me if you think I did the right thing in this matter?

I was at a restaurant waiting to be seated when my sister's ex husband Sam walked in. He saw me and came over and give me a hug. We had a brief conversation and he asked me to join him for dinner as his guest. He asked how long it would be before we could be seated and they told him 45 minutes to an hour. He suggested we go someplace where we could be seated sooner. We went across the street to Ruth Chris steak house restaurant. We were seated immediately. When I saw the menu I knew why there was not a wait to be seated. The CHEAPEST item on the menu was $50. Sam saw my discomfort and said ignore the price. Order what you want and I did. It was the BEST meal I ever had in my life. I thought it might be awkward having dinner with my sister's ex husband but it wasn't. We had a great meal, great conversation, and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. As we were leaving it just slipped out of my mouth. I said this was a lot of fun, can we do it again some time. He said call me any time. When I got home, Oh My God, I realized what I had done. I had asked him for a date sometime in the future. What was I thinking? Should I tell my sister and ask her if she is OK with it. My little brother has had this friend that he says is real even to this day he is imagery but he said the name is jakero and that our dead great grandmother is there beside jakero and that he is ok I asked him to describe her and he fully described how she looked in the casket but no pictures were ever taken and no one talked about her around him he even used words that he had no clue what they meant and he said that granny loves me and she's proud then about 2-3 years later my next youngest brother is playing with jakero and he said granny and pappy were there and he said pappys unit and his rank none of which he could have known he even described pappy in his army uniform in great detail down to the size of his shoes he said pappy was proud of me and then he said jakero wanted to protect me when I deploy and ever since then I have felt like something is watching me I don't believe in ghosts but I do in Jesus and God but this is getting wierder me and my gf where doing stuff and well we lost power and her door slammed shut then is started to get really cold like a draft but no one was home but me and her and the house was shut and her house is not buried on a Indian grave yard her house was just build out in the country and my house on base just got remodeled due to fire and I do not have ashes or family ect no thing could be "haunted" the Only thing I have from my family is a civil war chest from my great x7 grand father it has a lot of old **** in it

When I was 7 years old lighting hit a tree next to my house and it fell in my bedroom. It took the fire department 2 hours to get me out from under that tree branch. I spent several days in the hospital recovering from my wounds. Ever since then I have been terrified of lighting and thunder. When I heard thunder, I would go to my much older brother's bedroom and crawl in bed with him where I felt safe and secure. When the thunder stopped, I would go back to my own bed. My brother told me that since I am now developed (what ever that means) I can not get in bed with him anymore. He says we could get in big trouble if I got in bed with him now. He will set up a cot in his bedroom that I can use when I want to from now on. I will do as he wishes as he is the greatest brother any girl could have. Please tell me that what I have been doing all these years was not wrong. The VERY LAST thing I want to do is cause my brother a problem.

My sister was dumped my her husband of 10 years for a woman much younger than she was. The house sold and she had to move but her apartment would not be ready for 2 weeks so she is temporally staying with my husband and me. As expected she is depressed and has a very low self esteem. Trying to help her I asked my husband to tell her she is still beautiful and appealing to men. He did not want to do it but I insisted and that was what he told her. BIG MISTAKE. My cousin, my sister, and I are all graduating together in May of next year. I am planning on becoming a PA which requires more schooling after my bachelors' degree. My cousin is becoming a funeral director with an associates degree. She told me she is getting the highest degree possible, I just ignored her because I knew she wasn't. a degree is amazing no matter what type of degree you receive. She acts like she will have a better job then me and keeps rubbing it in my face that she will be working straight out of school since she already got a job offer after she graduates. She just rubbed it in yesterday. I will be eventually doing what I love it's just going to take a couple more years out of school. I have always dreamed of doing medical career and that is exactly what I am doing. My sister will start working out of school too and she is just worried about me continuing school. my sister is so sweet but my cousin is awful. Yes I am jealous that she will begin working straight after she graduates and will start her life while I am continuing my education. She's constantly trying to put me down and yell at me about how I'm a socially defective loser with no job no life and no friends. I try making friends yet I'm not allowed out of the house because "girls are supposed to stay home." I try to get a job all the time but I never end up getting one and she's always saying things like "I'm glad you didn't get the job" after I fail another interview. This time I got a call back after an interview and they called the house phone for some reason. She claims that someone left a message asking if I'm still interested in the job yet she "doesn't know who called" and apparently she cleared the message box without showing me. It's really weird and nasty to talk about but I wanna let this out. My older brother is 15 and my younger sister is 12. I got them making out and I think my older brother made her kiss him. I was sleeping in my moms room as they weren't there. They were in their room with the door open and I woke up and heard kissing noises. I look into the room and they're swapping saliva. My sister was making the face when you don't like something and it's nasty. My brother had his hands all over her. He was touching her neck, hair, back, thighs, and buttocks. Me and my boyfriend were hanging it with his friends and he was trying to act cool and called me a stupid hoe( I have a pet of losing my temper and not keeping My hands to myself and have finally got that in control but I slipped this time) I hit him and his friends laughed and he got super angry. I was so angry he called me a stupid hoe in front of everyone and I totally am wrong for hitting him. He then calls his friend over and tells him to come snort a pill they were gonna crush. I was so angry! Why is he snorting pills! ( no he's not a drug addict but he's a young boy and youngs boys are really stupid) I watched him snort the pill and I got really sad and called my mom and told her ( we all are really close and my moms not the type of mom to go. Crazy because she knows how boys are) she then texted him the next day saying why are u snorting Pills. I was generally concerned because my dad use to steal my moms prescription pills and his dad is a Coke addict so it got me thinking. After she texted him he hasnt talked to me only to have sex and then he gets mad right after and calls me a "smith" and says I'm never hanging with his friends again??? I know I was in the wrong for hitting him but i didn't know what to do it concerned me so I told my mom. And no he keeps calling me names saying I'm a dumb ***** and a snitch and I'm not invited with him and his friends ever again. What should I do? He keeps forgiving me then getting mad. It makes me sad because I want to hang out with him too and his friends because it's fun but I know he's really malicious and won't let me hang anymore and he calls me a snitch and keeps getting mad every other hour going from not talking to me to talking.

So my cousin invited my wife and I over for his sons birthday. He and his wife had a horrible idea of having a party in the daytime for friends and then cake for family at night 6pm. So I told my wife that it was just for cake, she decided eat light before going there. We finally head out 20 mins late, and she wants to stop to get a bite and coffee at starbucks. I said it was already late and don't have time (probably my fault but I don't like being too late for stuff). Then we get there and was leftover cold pizza and cold mac & cheese to eat, and instead of cake they brought out some cupcakes at about 7:30. By 8 she had enough and went to the car without saying good bye to anyone. I went around and said good bye myself. On our way home she continued to berate me that it was my fault that I didn't go to starbucks and that my cousin thought more of friends than family to give them the hot pizza. When I offered to stop somewhere on the way home, she said it was too late. She is still not talking to me, because apparently I didn't do enough to make her happy. Is it me? Or should I keep fighting with her over this?

THE SENSE OF FAMILY IN EUROPE AS DECLINED. few are having kids, abortions are high, divorce rates high, and families are breaking apart. more people are single and alone. EUROPE WAS ONCE GREAT, 25-30% of global GDP, major producer of many products, major global financial center, and a global power. Now it cant compete and dying.

A couple months ago my husbands sister got dropped off at our house by her mom cause she couldn't deal with her anymore. She's 17 and graduated high school this year. When she first got here she was drinking alcohol in our neighbors area and always asking for money and my husband wanted to kick her out but I said no give her a chance. Last week she smoked weed near our house and left the bong on our porch.we have 3 kids and I told her you can't do that and my husband said keep doing it and you are out so I thought shed get it. Today I left for awhile and I came back to smell weed and the bong is on the neighbors grill. Idk what to do she's gonna be 18 next week and we are moving too. I can't take it.

So my sister is having me watch her cats for two weeks which isn't a problem because I've watched her cats and her dogs before. She went away for a couple weeks and brought her dogs with her so it's just her cats. She wants me to "live" here to keep an eye on the house and the cats make sure their little is taken out, feed them on the basics. Which I don't mind at all. But here's the problem. I'm not being paid anything. There's no food in the fridge or pantry and the cat food/litter is getting low which means I have to go buy some. I'm only 18 and just started a new job and the last thing I want to do is pay for this stuff. Last time I did this she left a whole bunch of food for me since I would be staying here for a couple of weeks but this time there's literally nothing. The cost in gas for me to just go back home and eat would be the same as to just drive to mcdonald's and grab something quick. So either way I'm screwed. There's really nothing to do here. There's a PS4 but no live and only 1 game which I've played the campaign 100 times. That's the least of my worries though. Hi! Im 15 years old and have to other siblings, one whos is 18 and one who is 14. My mom is always sleeping. She gets up for maybe 15 minutes at a time to go get food and then she goes back to sleep. Im tired of this because I have to miss so much crap because I have to cook and clean and take care of my siblings. But the thing is that when we confront her about this, she yells at us. She has told me many of times that she hates me and that I ruined her life. If my brother yells at her, she walks to where I am and says that its all my fault. She'll tell both my brother and sister that she loves them, but then glares at me. She also told us that she stopped drinking but we still find the bottles hidden in her closet (due to our religon we arent supposed to drink). Sometimes she sleeps through when she has to pick us up from school so we have to walk an hour home. She said she wants to make this last year count with my brother before he goes to college, but shes always sleeping. I just cant handle this blame and this responsibility, I just want to be a kid and hang out with friends but I cant do this when I am playing mommy all the time.

Im a girl and im 13 and my mum always hits me. She hits me regularly and not like a belt but when shes angry she takes her anger out on me by slapping me or throwing a hard shoe and slapping me with it. Both of my parents are together and we are currently on vacation and we are about to leave tommorow. I dont have any older siblings, just 2 younger ones who are loke cinderellas step sisters. I was told I've allowed them to cross the line too many times and this time they really crossed the line. I worked out a deal to rent a house, it needs lots of work and I knew that going in but the owners didn't have time to fix it so we worked out a deal that I could stay there dirt cheap if I make the repairs with the owners paying for any major material costs. (They will buy shingles, paint, etc.) I made the mistake of letting a cousin see the place and he ratted on me to my parents. While I'm at work they show up, somehow got me out of the deal and rented an apartment for me. I get back from work, my parents are there and next thing I get papers shoved in front of me and they are yelling at me to sign the papers then they lecture to me on how I should always let them help me because it just makes more work for them when they have to drop what they are doing to come fix my mistakes. My parents picked this place with no input from me, they don't care if I like it or not, they like it so thats all that matters to them. I just want to quit my job and move far from here. I figure if my parents can get me out of a deal I made then I should be able to get out of a lease they forced me to sign. It's always been like this, it's not going to change and they need to let me make my own decisions. They deal on a car for me, they pick my insurance, they say which bank to use, which credit card to get, which cell phone to get, I'm 24 years old, stupid yahoo answers doesn't let me have enough words to describe what's going on, I could write enough to fill a book I guess I should have said, the deal on the first place was verbal. I needed to figure out some estimates on the repairs and see if it was something I could do before we signed the lease. I needed to re-carpet, repair some windows and do some massive cleaning before I could even move in. My parents told the guy I would not be capable of making the repairs myself so he said he didn't want me living there if there was any question I could take care of it myself.

I m a 14 year old girl who is just about to start high school and honestly I m really scared... I feel that recently me friends have become more isolated from me. I believe in old school relationships, like I don t text my best friends but their other friends text them all the time, so I really think that social media is keeping me from having real relationships with my friends. I have a dog named Bear. I love him so much. It has been almost a year since my first dog, Toby passed away. He had a good life... but Toby was the best thing that ever happened to me. Him and Bear were best friends. I ve tried to have closure with his loss, by expressing it in my artwork, but nothing helps at all. I have cried at least once a week over his loss ever since. Bear was, to be honest, my favorite dog when I was little and even when Toby was alive...wow that was the first time I ve said that, this was mostly because he was better looking than Toby. When he died, I couldn t help but feel guilty about not spending as much time with him, so I was the one who took it the hardest in the family. You know how many families have certain favorite dogs per person, well my "sisters dog" was Toby, and I took his death harder than she did. This gets me to my question...I feel as thought the only thing in life that I really truly love right now is Bear and I can t not be with him every second of every day and he is very old so I have a bad feeling that something bad is coming ... what is wrong with me?

I am going on vacation to Milwaukee next Friday, but I don't want to go because I have gallstones and can't go. I feel worried that if I tell my parents that, I feel worried that my parents would do what one of my mom's friends does with one of her kids, which is to hire a home health aide even though I only want to stay at home with another relative. I am in foster care and my foster mother has become increasing intolerant of me in the past few weeks. My mother recently left our family, its just my dad, me, and my older sister (a year older) and my younger sister (4 years younger). I love my younger sister and my dad, but I just can t seem to feel the same love for my older sister. She basically has the life I always wanted. She has so many friends, a great social life, and a supportive boyfriend. She s never home and when she is she always talks down to me. It s like she "groups" me with my younger sister. She is also so emotional, and pretends she cares what I think of her. She always pretends to act like the mother, telling everyone what to do. My kids and I have had a rough time in the past 5 years. My husband, was ill and ended his life last year. I thought moving with my mom (her suggestion) and being close to one of my sisters and her family would be a great start at getting back on our feet. So here is the argument. I m so ******* pissed right now I m crying. Please read. Okay, so I m trying to enjoy my last few days of summer by playing video games. I play them on the computer in the living room. My mom, for some odd ******* reason sleeps on the couch instead of HER bed in her OWN room, there is nothing wrong with her room, she just let s her husband sleep alone every night. The couch is right by the computer, and I use earphones at night. Night is the only time I m able to play because I m busy during the day. She unplugged the computer and smaked me in the face. In the middle of the night. If she wanted sleep why can t she go in her own room? I am 17 and turning 18 in February. My parents are separating and I will be living with just my mom but she just figured out that I have been smoking weed again and will not let me use her car for anything. I've come to the point where I hate looking in a mirror or seeing my own reflection. I'm constantly closing window drapes so I don't have to see myself in the light. Especially when I apply my makeup I try to do it fast because I don't like looking in the mirror. I've been crying a lot because I don't feel beautiful in my own skin. My mother went on to alienate us from our Dad out of malice though I later got close to him. The guilt has stayed with me for life. I remember every detail of that day when they had the fight and my mother told us Dad doesn't love us anymore (she kicked him out because of his personality flaws).
