Question: Should I delete my ex best friend off of social media? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 05:53 PM PDT She stopped being my friend in March and I know we'll never speak again but we still follow each other on social media despite us not being friends. The friendship ended badly and personally it just bothers me when she posts things online, I'd just rather not see it all together. Should I delete her off my Snapchat and Instagram? We don't view each other's stories or like each other's pictures so I feel no reason to follow her anymore. Also should i delete the pictures of me and her I have posted nearly a year ago? I'm hoping to move on and I feel that doing this will be a step forward. |
Question: Why does she still want to be my friend??? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 05:47 PM PDT My name is Jack and I've had a very dark past. My dad was an alcoholic and I never got along with him, I was molested by a family member when I was young. I've suffered from depression, but I've got a close friend Rachelle who never judged my past and always helped me out. But I've been very clingy towards her at times and she's even got mad at me. I've made her angry a lot, but she says "she will always be here.". Why does she still want to be my friend after all the garbage I've put her throught????? |

Question: What can I give my guy friend for his birthday? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 05:09 PM PDT I have this friend and his birthday is coming up and I want to give him something very unique because we went to kindergarten together but then got separated and two weeks ago we met each other and found out we already knew each other. So I want to give him something that he can look at and remember this amazing story. Something symbolical and meaningful to our unique friendship. |
Question: Girl who has a crush on me will not leave me alone? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 04:55 PM PDT So there's this girl who went to my school about a year ago, moved away, and now goes to the same school as me again. Starting in May she started messaging me on Facebook messenger about how obsessed she was with me, and her friend started doing the same. She and her friends have been doing this on messenger all summer, and now that school has started back up, it's turning into real life stalkerish tendencies. Like at my open house I was walking a round to classes with my mom and she and her friend were following us and snickering behind me for around five minutes before I ran off and lost them. Then she kept on messaging me creepily, and recently at football games or in the school parking lot, has started yelling out my name or having her friend yell out my name very creepily to get my attention, in which case I just pretend to be on the phone and ignore them. And most recently two of her friends somehow got into my personal binder for a class and left a fourth grade style note in the style of "check yes or no if you would go out with our friend who is CRAZY about you". At this point I got so pissed that I wouldn't even look at this girl at her friends, and now she's messaging me again kind of aggressively. I thought she would take a hint by now but I guess not, does anyone have any advice for what to do about this girl??? |
Question: Why won t he let me go with him? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 04:34 PM PDT My boyfriend and I are 20 we have been together for 2 years, my boyfriend has a great job and makes a lot of money now. Our 21st birthday is in the same month so I wanted to do a joined birthday at Catalina Island with our friends and some family. He liked this idea until recently. Now he wants to go on a cruise with just his buddies the tickets are about $200 a person its expensive and his friends won t be paying for it because they work minimum wage jobs. So I don t understand why he won t choose the cheaper option and spend it with me too. Am I overreacting? Or is it actually dumb of him. Also, we moved to another state together so and I lost my friends after high school so I have no friends at all. So o wanted to celebrate with our family and his friends because his friends are my friends. |

Question: How do I tell my friend she smells bad without hurting her feelings? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 04:13 PM PDT I have this friend and she has always had a bad hygiene, middle school we are now juniors. I thought she would start to smell better as she got older but I guess not since it's gotten worse. When she comes over she'll leave the seats smelling, like *** or ****. I will put on perfum or deodorant and she'll ask and it's not about money since I go to her house and she has all this stuff, I don't know if she doesn't shower properly or?? I have a game at school and I don't want to invite her because of this but she'll get butt hurt if I don't invite her and to school dances. If I tell her I'm afraid she'll cry since she cries easily and make me look bad, so help? |
Question: Tips for the first day of school? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 04:06 PM PDT My first day in 8th grade starts tomorrow, im really smart and mature (I take 9th grade classes). How can I make friends easily? (I can be awkward sometimes) Im also funny and a great friend (I have plenty of friends, but i need better ones) I wanna make a bestfriend this year. Any tips for the first day of 8th grade on making friends and other things? I WILL AWARD BEST ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My past bffs moved away. Question: Why did this guy keep interrupting me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 04:05 PM PDT This weekend I met up with my best friend (we're both early 20s females) and this new guy (early 30s) we both met over a friend-making app. My best friend has met him once before, and they got along well, and I've been texting him back and forth, and we've had great conversations. Overall, he was a really charming, engaging guy, but he always interrupted me whenever I tried to make a point. He even realized he was doing it at one point, and apologized profusely, saying "Oh gosh, I'm sorry, I keep interrupting you, please go on!" And then he'd interrupt me again. Funnily enough, he hardly ever interrupted my friend while she was talking. Normally I would think constantly interrupting someone is an unconscious reaction to not liking them, but after the meeting was over, this guy sang my praises to my best friend ("She's amazing! Such a delight!"), and he is still texting me and asking for my insights about things, and following up on our discussion, so I'm inclined to believe he liked me. Why would he constantly interrupt me if he genuinely respects what I have to say? |
Question: Help for going back to school !!!!? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 03:24 PM PDT I used to be the popular kid until last year, I don't know what exactly happened but I was slowly becoming less popular and now I've got a lot of problems to deal with, the person who would call themselves the popular one now has decided to come down hard on me and to get everyone to turn against me. I've had problems with confidence and I don't know how to become more popular again. |
Question: Confusing interaction with coworker? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 03:09 PM PDT I got my first job after college recently and I'm confused about something. I'm the only black guy at my new department. Sometimes when you meet people in the hallway you talk. There is this girl everytime I talk to her she immediately brings up her boyfriend. This makes me feel funny because to me it appears that she's signaling that maybe I'm interested in her. I do find her attractive but I don't want to try anything working, my career goes first. Yesterday I had to send her an email and I got her name wrong in the email. So I send a second email jokingly apologizing saying I know how its annoying when people write your name wrong. She then sends me an email with "tush! one point less (6)" (Something along those lines, english isn't my first language). I didn't reply to that email because it left me confused. Like I might be inappropriate. Minutes later she comes and stands by my desk and keeps staring at me. Since I have no experience in corporate workplace I wonder if anyone can explain this? Question: How can I make friends and not be alone? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 03:04 PM PDT Im 20 in two months. all my life in school I wash and the only two friends I had senior year moved. iv beneath many warehouse jobs with guys and have made few friends and the girls there gossip. I attended a 3 month program for film after I graduated high school and I enjoyed it but I didn't do well in highs cool grades and couldn't get in. for a week I began my sewing and sketch class at a community college. I had to change up my schedule and take all 4 fashion classes till next year cause I work all night & classes were in the morning. for now I have a sketch class & 3 general classes, I'm going to work for few months then get a new job. at the sewing and sketch class everyone was there just to learn to sew & no real reason. even the teacher said this is not a place if you want a fashion line or anything. even the teacher uses really ugly grandma fabrics that are hideous and there wasn't anyone I got along with. I don't like drama and gossip, I get along more with guys and am more relaxed and low keys feel mature too. I just want one genuine friend to hang out with me thats a bit older and understands my shyness. I just have one close guy friend and we have kissed many times and text everyday but we still are not official. things go well for me either in a job or fashion school, not a regular college, it's not for me,I don't even have cousins or sisters. I plan to also soon in the future go to a schooL In la called FCI, 3 month fashion program & u can make a collection |

Question: Is it weird that we have such a close bond with our ages? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 02:14 PM PDT I've been at a low place in my life and I'm just not doing too great.. I have a special friend, she and I have a special bond.. my friend has noticed and has checked up on me a lot lately because of how I've been, I cried to her on the phone the other day as I wasn't doing great at all. She's helped me through a lot of dark times.. on the phone she was there for me, helping me tak through stuff but she told me she's monitoring me and watching what I post and making sure I'm fine or not doing anything dumb. She even put me in check the other day (got after me) for considering something bad. She even told me if things got worse she'd call my family.. She's super caring to me but we have a close bond for such different ages but why is she all over me? I'm 19 and she's 60, we're very close friends.. like I had said, she's very concerned. She said I was like her own kid (she has no kids) and even threatens to drive all the way over here and whip my butt. Why is she so worried? She even gave me her address if I needed anything (when I am around her town) to go by whenever I needed to.. why would she trust me so much to give me her address? Not saying I would break her trust but why is she being so loving? |
Question: Do I have anxiety? Answers fast please? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 02:12 PM PDT I've taken a few quizzes and looked things up but I can't really tell. I feel like I don't but all of the sudden while making a quiz and chatting with my friend online I got this slight tightness in my chest. It just started to make me aggravated when I looked through YouTube and there were too many choices to pick from. I started tapping my fingers and kinda feeling really nervous. When I tried chatting with my friend again and trying to look up things for the quiz I just couldn't do it so I said I had to go fro a sec and left because the feeling in my chest was a little overbearing. I'm finding myself very impatient like this and it's hard to sit still. My chest feels kind of scratchy like I need to use my inhaler and I cant breathe but I can breathe just fine. It's been getting a little more intense and less intense over the past 10 minutes. I just walked around my house and had a cookie, some milk, and stuck my head outside, and walked around more but its not going away. Can someone explain this? I even tried chatting w/ my friend again but had to go shortly after because I'm finding it hard to keep up doing stuff with her Also, if anyone wanted to know, I just turned 13. |
Question: What are some good questions to ask someone? (to become friends or more?)? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 02:07 PM PDT I m in my junior year of university after a short hiatus. I haven t made any new friends in a while. We had a short "practice" activity in one of my classes. The next class my partner for that activity came up to me and initiated a conversation. We mostly talked about classes and share the same major. They came across as fairly quiet (like myself) so I was pleasantly surprised. I definitely felt a "click". I want to know some questions that are not too intrusive but are also not just idle chat. I m very excited but don t want to come off as overeager/pushy. Thanks in advance! |

Question: Am I wrong, should I tell? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 01:52 PM PDT In my friendship group I'm the chronically single friend. But my one friend is the main one to make snarky comments on it. I never said anything to defend myself because I got tired after all these years dealing with her. She's married and during her wedding she took every moment possible to bring up that I can find a man to save my life. So this made me feel bad and spark a fire in me. I found a man, my guy friend from grad school. I have dated him for two years. He knows my other friends but not her. we've been married for a few months. Well this weekend she was again making fun of my singleness (not in a friend way, in a you'll never find love so I laugh way).should I tell Or should I just keep it a secret. Don't ask why we're friends she really nice when she nice and fun to be around but when she's mean it's awful. |
Question: Help my friend is an asshole? Please read? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 12:29 PM PDT At first things started out nice. My friend Lisa confided in me and said she was bullied are her life (she keeps putting emphasis on not physically). These days it seems like it takes little things to blow her up. She's smaller than me and I've picked her up before so when she acts "tough" it just annoys me. When we were out we argued so loud the bystander thought we weren't friends. We got on the bus and I just let her fuss to herself because now there's more people and my mom raised me to not make scenes in public and I hate that. She was saying things to act tough like I will leave in Baltimore st I took the bus there before and the guy said (maybe sarcastically) "ok we get it you gangsta". She also yells curses in her poems about how no one gives a sh*t about her and this guy who never met her said "wow she's tough" I guess it bothered me because she yells that way at me and it seems like people are rewarding her for pretending to be tough when she's not which is why she does it to me!!! I care because I know how it feels to be bullied and I was her first and only friend out of two. How do I handle this situation? |
Question: In love with my friend and want to change for him? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 12:24 PM PDT Is this weird? I've known my friend for over a year. I didn't always like him. We only became actual friends 4 months ago and over the course of these 4 months, I've fallen in love with him. I only see him and get to talk to him once a week, but I consider him one of my best friends. I always want his advice or input on my life changes, like leaving my job and getting a new one. I always want him to think the best of me. He's an even stronger Christian than I am and I have even considered stopping weed (he doesn't know I smoke, not that I do it that much) because I don't want him to ever find out I smoke. I don't want him to ever think badly of me. I can't have him, as he's involved, but I want him to know how much of a positive impact and influence he's had on my life without thinking I'm hitting on him. Is it weird to want to change for a friend that you love? |
Question: Best friend hanging out with someone else, feel phased out? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 12:21 PM PDT Allow me to preface this; I just finished 6th class and me and my best friend ( both guys ) used to be basically inseperable. We'd always have fun together and as such a lot of my best memories from that year are with him; however, we didn't really talk over the period of the summer break. Now we're at a new school and he seems to be hanging out more e.g sitting beside a certain friend from his football team. I'm a bit afraid that we'll no longer be best friends but instead him and his other friend will now be best friends. I'm also thinking that it's possibly because we haven't talked in 2 months and he sees the other guy every week at training matches etc. It'd be a lot easier to let go were it not tied to a lot of my school memories. |

Posted: 04 Sep 2017 12:08 PM PDT My fiance and I have broken up before and gotten back together. My friends and family don't like him at all. My best guy friend has been sarcastic with me about him and it's pissing me off he said, "Don't do something you'll regret; and to be honest, Tommy (my fiance) isn't really mature and you guys wont even last." Ever since my fiance and I been together, Jake has been a bit of a jerk and gets angry when I already have plans with Tommy sometimes and gets jealous. I told him that I will always be his best friend and why is he making this a big deal. Get this, he also said right in my face, ""Think about it Layla (me), you two have only been together for a year and a half, both only 19 and already talk about marriage. He's cheated on you before and you don't think he won't do it again. I was there for you when you cried and then you took him back! You're going to marry some immature slacker, which your marriage wont last and end up in a divorce!!" I was shocked when he said that. Then I said, "I know you did NOT just say that to me!" Then Jake said, "What truth hurts? Tommy is immature and you deserve better! That's the truth!" I stormed off. Yes Tommy cheated on me once when we only dated for a year and I broke up with him. Then I took him back and everyone wasn't too happy. Even my own father doesn't like Tommy much and my dad doesn't want me to marry a "cheater". He said I need to listen to Jake and he's telling the truth. Tommy changed! I love Tommy. Jake really hurt my feelings and she shocked me. |
Question: Is it wrong to break up a school fight? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 12:02 PM PDT So, few days ago one of my friends who is no longer in my school made a group chat on SnapChat to make a event where we would all go to a trampoline park. However, 1 day later the group was made the person who made the group cancelled the plan and seceretly made another group with specific people, without telling other people that they were gonna go to the trampoline park. My other friend got really pissed because this friend of ours didnt invite him, but a new girl which joined our school. Then, he talked with my friend and my other friend got really pissed about why he is really mad that he invited that girl. Today, as we were coming back from home my friend decided to talk to the friend who made the group chat and invited that girl instead of him. Then suddenly a fight broke out but not physically although it was almost becoming physical as our other friend (Who is not our friend anymore) joined the fight. I stepped in and tried to break up the fight. Now, as I did that after the fight ended and I went back to both of my friends the friend who was mad at my friend who was not invited he ignored me and I think he is really pissed at me. Now I am scared if my friend tells the teacher and i get a expulsion or suspension for preventing a fight Bottom of the line: Will I be expelled or suspended for breaking up a school fight??? |
Question: How to cope with school stress? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 12:02 PM PDT i don't find school work stressful, that's the part that comes easily to me . What does effect me are the students, I am the target of bullying, I feel isolated and I don't make friends easily. When I make friends, I usually feel forgotten by them. I still enjoy the friendships I do make, and I really appreciate my friends. I think my grades go down because of this. |
Question: Do you think he likes me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 12:01 PM PDT There's this boy I go to school with and he is known as cool and goofy one and he is always playing around with a lot of girls. But everytime I walk by him he gets all shy or pretends he is on his phone. Sometimes I catch him staring at me.. He isn't known for being quiet or shy either. I noticed he even tries to hide from me but when he is around his friends he doesn't and I can tell when they are together they are talking about me. One day my friend came up to me and told me he asked where I was. I was absent that day and I never talk to him before or know his name. I don't go to that school anymore now but I do see him sometimes. |
Question: Tips for my new school? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 11:44 AM PDT i'm going to a new school and i realised i couldn't make friends as easily in my old school as i did when i lived back in my home country. Question: Why is he inviting me to family events? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 11:17 AM PDT This guy and I have known each other for 3 years now, we were co workers. We've been close now for 2 years. I've met both his parents before, and they love me especially his mom. His cousin is in town and he wanted me to come over his mom's house and hang out with them for a bit. He also invited me to his other cousin's baby shower. I've never met his other cousin, and he's wanting me to meet his family. I have no problem with it because I like him, but I feel like I'm like his girlfriend without a tittle. |
Question: Are people just stupid? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:41 AM PDT I used to be a social drinker in my twenties, and many of my friends then zeroed in on that and labelled me a "heavy drinker", even though I wasn't. Fast forward to my thirties: I stopped drinking for the past for years for health reasons, and everyone I meet now thinks I'm an "innocent/straight laced" person who's NEVER drank—even when I plainly tell them the truth that I used to be a social drinker. They all think I'm lying. Also: I've met "heavy drinkers" now, and I know I NEVER was one, lol. .... are people just stupid? Can they not judge a person accurately? I'm done with people. Seriously. *Pls, no haters. Don't yell: Ur so stupid for caring what others think! Um, when you're constantly judged like this--it becomes a problem. I can't go out in the world without dealing w/ this, so it IS a valid issue I have to figure out. |
Question: I feel like my friends don't take me seriously? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:30 AM PDT For some reason I can't tell them things and make them understand me. They always take it as funny. Maybe I have to act serious first so they can take me seriously? But that isn't a good way at all to bond with friends! I don't get it how I have one friend that all my other friends respect and admire. He doesn't contribute so so much but is still respected in o it friendship group and is apparently the core member, (from what I see) how do I make them take me seriously, and actually like me better? It seems like when im gone they don't even care at all and they can just play overwatch together without me. (even tho im the mist experienced support player amongst my friends) I cat just find new ones because all my friends are close to me. WE are all close in friendship with each other. So... Any answers? Please no trolls, this is serious for me. :( |

Question: Does he like me or is he just being friendly? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:29 AM PDT I met this guy about a year ago. I just thought he was one of those really social people who just wanted to know everyone. I thought he was really nice at first, but I didn't really expect to be friends with him. Over the semester I saw him a lot on campus. At first, we would just say hi, maybe talk for a couple minutes. He started to sit with me in the dining hall when we saw each other, even when it was clear that I was slightly uncomfortable. We started talking more and I realized that we actually have a ton in common, and that he was super easy to talk to. He always make an effort to talk to me when we see each other, and he always makes sure to ask me about my life, interests, etc. He's always saying how much he enjoys talking to me because I can usually catch on to what he's saying and he always learns something new. He'll even ignore his other friends until our conversation is over. I've always considered this to just be his personality, and that he was just really good with people. Of course, he denies liking people very much and claims to be an introvert, which I can see is true on occasion. I've had friends say that he acts as if he likes me. Today was the first time I've talked to him in a while and we actually talked a lot. I was a bit confused because he said I looked pretty, and then pointed it out to like, 3 different people. The girls I were with actually thought he was flirting. Maybe I'm just oblivious, but I still feel like he's just being nice. |
Question: How to not quite dump a friend? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:28 AM PDT Ok so here's the story. I have a friend, and she's been one of my best friends for a long time now. And I am part of this big club/organization of about 400 people. I want to meet new people and make new friends but my friend just keeps going in my business and makes fun of me when I meet someone new. She thinks it's funny that if I talk to a guy let's say, she keeps making heart signs until the joke dies out and it may not die out for a couple months! It's very annoying, and I don't want to dump her or hurt her feelings, but every time I want to talk to someone else but her, I have to go undercover so that she can't make fun of me. Please help me I don't know what to do! She's nice and all and I don't want to be mean but I just want her to leave so I don't feel restricted |
Question: How do I join an existing circle of friends? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:22 AM PDT Hello. Before I start, please read from the beginning to the end and please avoid meaningless memes and other stupid answers. Thanks. I m in a very bad situation right now. There s a circle of friends in my class that are very close to each other. They always hang out and do stuff. I m very cool with them and vice versa but we kinda have a distance. I ve never wanted to get any closer to them throughout the whole school period but now I tend to really like them, their lifestyles, their views and you know, stuff that makes people get along well. About 6 months ago, I started to kinda get close to them and there is zero comparison to how close I was and how close I am with them right now but there still is a gap between us. And I am also very socially awkward person and I don t have great social skills and/or experience. I was a very nerdy kid in the last 2-3 years and I would never go out, so I became very locked into myself. This is probably the biggest thing pulling me back. School is starting in a week and I want to try as hard as possible to get close to them. So how do I do it? How do I improve my relationship with them? What are the tips for this? Keep in mind, we know each other for almost 12 years so I think this is very supportive. Thank you everyone for reading this far. I m truly thankful. God bless ya ll and please leave your thoughts below. Thanks. |
Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:15 AM PDT She doesn't want to tell me, and I want to confront her about this The boyfriend told me the whole story, and she was pissed at another friend of ours who got cheated on (for staying with him and forgiving him and also not telling her). |
Question: My brothers friend who is also my friend likes me and idk what to do? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:07 AM PDT So I'm a junior in high school and Me and my brother are in the same grade because we're Irish twins but anyways he has a friend let's call him A and A is also my friend, and we always hangout st his house. And we've been friends since freshman year. I guess somewhere along the way of hanging out with me a lot he started to like me. Summers over now and I spent most of my summer at his house with some other friends. Last night, me my brother my other friend and A all hung out and we were all sitting outside at like 3am bc it's the last night of summer. Anyways, A went inside and while he was in there my friend and brother told me A liked me and was going to ask me out soon, but I told them I don't like him like that only as a friend. I don't wanna be rude because he will be sad either way but I just don't like him. I guess I come off kind of flirty? Idk but it also kinda wierd Dating my brothers friends |
Question: Should I have done more for my friend's birthday? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:00 AM PDT My coworker and good friend is six years older than me, he is married and has a toddler. I'm single, 24 year old guy. We are very close and actually only live a couple minutes from each other. Yesterday (Sunday) was his 31st birthday. On Friday I wished him a pre happy brithday and told him I would take him out to lunch somewhere good on Tuesday at work. He mentioned that he was going in to work on Sunday to avoid planning a birthday. He said that if they end up doing anything at night for his birthday he will let me know. I went and got a gift just in case he called Sunday night, but he never did. Did I do anything wrong as a friend? Was I supposed to initiate something for the weekend? Or ask if I could stop by their house? |

Question: Should I reconcile with my old friend? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 09:33 AM PDT We used to be best friends, because we had the same hobbies, and were just 2 geeks who couldn t talk to girls. But time went by and we changed, I became more social. I did things I regret. While he stayed the same. (I could get into details on what happened, if you guys want me to. Cus i guess the dynamic of our friendship matters) Then a good 6 months ago, we had a huge argument over our friendship, and ended up breaking it. And stopped being friends. The way he treats me, makes me think he hates me. He avoids me, flicks me off when he thinks i dont see him. But thing is that we have mutual friends, and i want to be with them, but it s impossible with him around hating me all the time. So i was thinking of trying to reconcile with him, just for the sake of our mutual friends. And to be honest, i miss him. What do you think, should I? |

Question: Why is it that I keep seeing or walking into the same person all the time? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 08:57 AM PDT There's a few people I keep bumping into many many times a day like I won't come across people that I know but I will come across them and it becomes awkward because then we say hi each time we see each other and it's just a hi because we have not been able to know each other. I'm shy and am scared to actually start a conversation with them and they don't start one either. Why does this happen that I see them so much? |
Question: Is it okay to have internet friends are who are way older than me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 08:32 AM PDT Okay so I'm 15. Two are 24, one is 29, one just turned 31, and the other is almost 40 I think. In real life, I'm sure this is really creepy, but it's over the internet. We play video games together and talk in Discord and stuff. To be honest, they're the only friends I have, and they make me really happy. But despite feelings, I wonder if it's weird or not regardless of being over a screen. |
Question: How do you tell a friend this? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 08:26 AM PDT My friend has basically stopped talking to me or hanging out with me at all because I don't want to do the crazy things she wants to do. On Halloween she wanted to walk the streets of one of the most crime ridden areas of my state and couldn't understand why I was too concerned to do that. That's kind of what started the separation. And if it isn't something like that, then she wants to go to bars constantly, and (I know people have different views on this, but...) I'm married and my husband wouldn't appreciate me going to some trashy bar to get hit on all night anymore than I would appreciate him doing it. How do you decline these things? What do you say? She and I haven't talked in months and she's catching up with me now asking if I want to go to some bar. |
Question: Why do my friends still give me wedgies? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 08:20 AM PDT At my school, kids still give each other wedgies. Yesterday my friends hung me on the shower head and I was wearing nothing but boxers. Why do people still do these things? I get it's a joke but that was things guys did long time ago |
Question: I'm 18, (not in school) how can I make friends? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:55 AM PDT I'm really bad at making friends too. |
Question: I am having problems with my friends and I don't know what to do.? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:52 AM PDT I am 16 years old in high school. I have a group of friends and we all used to hang out all the time together. This summer, I have been really busy with sports and studying, so most of the time when people invited to me to things I couldn't and it was always for one of two reasons; sports or studying. But when I wasn't busy, I am never invited to anything. Of my friend group one of them I am closest with, but this entire summer, drama in our group is really pushing everybody away from me, even though I have done nothing wrong. On snapchat I always see my best friend hanging out with my two other better friends and I am never invited. I always feel so left out. I think I hung out with friends 3 times this summer. It hurts and makes me feel like I have nobody to talk to. It sucks because I feel like I am not wanted or included. Do they even want me? I don't have anybody else. It sucks going on snapchat and seeing their stories of them just having fun while I sit in my room. I don't know what to do. Do I leave my friends and just not hangout with anybody? Or do I talk to them? Last night one of my friends accidentally texted me "Yeah so just let me know when you get here" and then "whoops that was for Mary".....It made me feel like she didn't even think of me. For the past two years she and I have been best friends. I am not social, so she is the one person I hangout with alone, but she is social so she hangs out with my other friends more often. |
Question: Why do people still pick on me at the age of 21? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:50 AM PDT I have always been kind of picked on. Not in a bad way really-playful, but still picked on. I am a very small person and even though I'm 21 I look like I'm 12. At work, I get picked on (again, playfully), at school not so much because I don't have friends, then I had a job at target and I wasn't even there a month and I was already getting picked on (sarcastically). I just don't understand why every one gives me a hard time. Like, we're all adults? |
Question: Make excuses for everyone except me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:36 AM PDT i noticed that when i make a mistake or share my opinion i am blamed or never given any excuses. This is done by my siblings and friends. For example one day i was wearing makeup and my sis told me to take it off because i looked ugly or horrible when In fact I didn't because I was getting compliments. Then one day someone else wore makeup and I said that the person make wasn't finished and she goes "well stop judging ppl maybe she likes her makeup like that" I get picked on all the time and made fun of but when I say something mean back to a person she gives them an excuse but not me. Has this happen to anyone else?? |
Question: Should I pay my friends back? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:17 AM PDT My friends and I went bar hopping. At the last bar I lost my debit card but I only ordered one drink. My tab was $7 and I planned on leaving a tip. I had $15 in cash. I told my friends that I had cash but before I could move two of them gave the waitress money for my tab. One put down $20 and another gave $5. I went to the waitress and told her to return the $25 and take the $10. She said that she had finalized the transaction already. My friends asked for the money back. I told them that I only planned on giving $10. Not $25. I don't think I should give it back bc I didn't ask them to pay it. Should I suck it up and give them the $25? |
