Question: Grandpa just died and Grammie wants me to stay with her? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 02:21 PM PDT My grandpa just died 9 days ago and Grammie wants me to go and spend a few days with her. The big brown recliner that Grandpa spent hours and hours in, day after day, sits lonely and it makes me sad to be there. I'm going to go see grammie because I know she needs me. But how do I handle the flood of memories and sadness that hits me when I walk in that house and stay strong for grammie? |

Question: Is it weird that my parents don t want my family to stay overnight? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 01:07 PM PDT I have a 15 month old daughter. My husband and I live 1.5 hrs drive from our parents. My husband s parents like for us to stay overnight, but my parents don t because she wakes up around 6:30 am and they like to sleep in on weekends. So we always stay overnight at my husband s parents but never stay overnight at my parents. Is this weird? |

Question: Should I call the police, when I feel scared? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 12:58 PM PDT Should I call the police when my father scares me. I was abused by my father for 19 years. So, every time he gets angry which is almost always, I feel scared and start to cry. I feel so unsafe. |
Question: How to survive a Cat. 4 hurricane? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 12:58 PM PDT Hi, I'm in South Florida. Miami-Dade county to be more specific, no where near oceans thankfully. But I've already had a couple of panic attacks and am seriously freaking out. Hurricane Irma may or may not hit and I seriously don't want to die. I can't evacuate because my family won't, we have nowhere to go and our car doesnt work well + it's wipers don't work. We've stocked up on food and water, and are boarding up our windows. I live on the second floor of a two story apartment complex. i'm only 17 and I really don't wanna die. Please if anyone can offer any tips, advice, just something to calm my nerves. |
Question: Will a hotel send you mail after a stay? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 12:54 PM PDT I am 18 and booked a hotel a few days ago and spent the night there. I wanted to be alone because I needed a safe place to stay to get away from my abusive mother (she suffers from a severe mental disorder). I've been trying to earn enough money to move away (I've already graduated). Anyway, she thinks I spent the night at a friends house but I I stayed at the hotel. I don't want her finding out. She also opens and goes through my mail. Do hotels send offers and mail to your address after you've stayed there or anything with an indication that you've been there? |
Question: What do you think of this situation and what should I do? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 12:52 PM PDT Ok so I was on my phone reading the news I receive on my phone and as my mom was passing behind me she made a face like something was funny and as if she was laughing at something. I felt like she did this because of the way I look and she wouldn't expect me to be reading on my phone. I'm 17 years old. What do you think of this situation and what should I do? |

Question: Can I get my fathers death record from the hospital? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 12:30 PM PDT I was very young when my father died. I never really knew many details about his death, such as which time he died and why he died. I do not want to ask my mom about it because I am very uncomfortable. As his biological daughter, can I go to the hospital and ask for a record? How would I do this without my mom knowing? |
Question: My father died suddenly and my mother doesn't know what to do? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 12:30 PM PDT My father died suddenly and my mother doesn't know what to do. It hit us like a hammer. She is very upset and doesn't know what to do now. She is a homemaker and my brother and I are grown up. Neither of us have children. She doesn't have hobbies and for the last few years was always watching over my father constantly because of his health, that was her job. She was fine with it because they loved each other and took care of each other, and she also felt it was her duty to take care of him until the end and now the end has come out of now where and she doesn't have any plans or any thing to do, she just doesn't know what to do. She thought maybe she could go back to korea and stay with her sister even though she hasn't been there in 30 yrs. So everything has changed since then, I recommended visiting her sister for an extend time and she is considering it but it's so far away, everything has changed, her speaking korean is not as great anymore due to being in America and learning english. She also wants to leave because the house holds so many memories of my father. I currently live with her so I know she wouldn't just sell the house. I just don't know what to do. Can you give me some advice on what to do to help her? |

Question: What do you think of this situation and what should I do? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 11:19 AM PDT Ok so I was ok the car with my mom and than I asked her a question and she wouldn't answer and then I kept asking and she wouldn't answer and I said that no one wants to wait that long for her stupid answer. She answered when I said that which was like a long time in a rude way. I feel like something might happen or come back to me and prove that I'm the stupid one. I'm 17 years old. What do you think of this situation and what should I do? |
Question: My parents win on either side of the argument...? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 11:13 AM PDT My mom was explaining something very badly today and I couldn't understand anything clearly so I kept telling her that I didn't understand. She then started yelling at me about how I should at least try to understand and my dad said that I must be stupid, but I was trying really hard and I just couldn't. I would be ok with this, but every time I'm the one explaining and she doesn't understand she gets mad at me because she says I'm not trying to get her to understand it and that I'm impatient. Either way it's my fault-- if I'm explaining it, I have to change my way of explaining to fit her, and if she's explaining, I still have to change my way of understanding to fit her. I know this is minor, but for every single thing she's always right, and she always has to have a huge argument over it. Whenever I try to tell and reason with her, she never ever listens and just gets mad at me and refuses to do anything. My clothes had stains all over after being in the laundry and I told her. Instead of even attempting to understand what happened, she said that she's never going to do laundry ever. My dad is even worse-- he believes that just because they are my parents, any action is justifiable. No matter how unfair something is, and how I explain it, he never listens to me, and just calls me an idiot multiple times and justifies everything by saying he is the parent. How can I get my parents to just listen to me and understand that they are not always right? |
Question: Why does my mom bully me? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 10:48 AM PDT I call her to TALK to her, not to be judged on my income or job title. She always talks about the stock market and how perfect her life is!!!! I want a MOM I can share my feelings with! I want to talk about my day for pete sakes. Why does she do this? To be fair, I've always been criticized instead of related to. I don't care one bit about HER success in the stock market. It's a joke in my opinion. I think she's shallow. I still want to relate to her. How do I do this? |
Question: Family business issue, can anyone help me solve please? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 10:46 AM PDT So here me and my father invested on a small scale business and started it. My is unable to take care of the business so he has this trustable guy who takes care of everything. He makes all decisions and doesn't keep a clear record on what he does. Meanwhile my father used my help in the intial state and when the business grew up he never wants my ideas anymore. I find it hard to push myself inside and voice my opinion. When I try to back out they try to involve me in some petty work and pulls me in. But, even though we are partners with equal share my opinions are not accepted. I couldn't waste my energy and time on it anymore. I don't want to hurt my father in this process. I already asked hm about it and he doesn't respond well. Please tell me what to do...Can I stay away and be a silent partner or should I get involved, because I can see them mess up in so many ways but I couldn't do anything to change it. I felt like I've been simply used...please help. |
Question: My fathers says it looks better in me than it does in my mom? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 10:44 AM PDT my dad gives me compliments all day, my mom insults me and says ill never amount to anything. Both my dad and I want her out of our lives. I never had sex with anyone but my dad but I bet it will never feel this good. how do you get rid of a poor mother and bad wife? |
Posted: 05 Sep 2017 10:41 AM PDT Since I was a child I wanted to be a doctor, I loved the idea of helping people plus I love science and being interactive instead of sitting at a desk all day. Now I'm a second year in college, I've been dating a girl for almost a year and plan on marrying her eventually. I also have an older brother who is currently a doctor. I am realizing that maybe I don't want my life to be centered around work or dominated by it and instead want to be with my family more. Thus I was considering becoming a PA instead (still get to work as in the medical field but have more free time and less stressful) however my sister said it's just me being lazy. Personally I'd be happier spending more time at home (although I'd be making slightly less) than spending almost all my time in the hospital and being exhausted everytime I come home. What do you think? |
Question: How do I start saving? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 08:27 AM PDT I'm in college with no stable job and live at home. Sometimes I am surprised where my money goes. There are time where I'll try to make home made products to sell, then I run short for the containers. Other times it's on food like eating out or snacks. I get 100 a month from my dad to establish credit ill either pay $25-50. but how am I gonna get anywhere if I can't save at all? I used to withdraw from my savings which I face palm over to this day. I'm trying not to be like my mom who used to borrow from me when I got my first job in highschool. My dad comains that I spend too much on his card when i am at school. I used to be that nice friend who lent money when I had a job but forget that mess. My old best friend still didn't pay me back for buying her Plan B. There are times where I seem to be doing well with my finances but then I revert back. My dad said a person like me shouldn't do stocks because I am a big risk taker. Some of these blogs advice are too vague for me. Any criticism is welcome. I want to make songs and get a recording studio by next year. I am lucky to have my dad supporting me but I resent not being where I want to be financially. |

Posted: 05 Sep 2017 07:58 AM PDT OK so we recently moved to Roselle NJ which is exactly 2h 17mins from my highschool that I'm currently enrolled in. Question: Mom wants me to be independent but she is codependent, why does she act like this? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 02:06 AM PDT During high school while I was applying for colleges, my mom wanted to move with me wherever I went (she was sad to see that I was possibly moving away). Turns out, I ended up staying at home to go to a community college. She was living with my aunt at the time but ended up moving in with my dad, brother and I in our apartment because of financial issues. She is super needy about money, etc. yet she always talks about how we should be independent. She complains that we have not moved away by now but when I was accepted to transfer to a university further away, she didn't like it. She didn't want me leaving her here with my dad. She speaks out of both sides of her mouth a lot. She wants me to be independent but is clingy. She even mentions how other grown kids are independent which is not true because I know many people that are still living at home; even married people. She complains a lot about this. Why does my mom act like this? |
Question: Do you think she thought it was weird that I cried to her? Posted: 05 Sep 2017 01:20 AM PDT I was having an extremely bad day the other day, my close (special) friend noticed and called to check on me. We were on the phone all afternoon, atleast she stayed on with me, I was bawling in tears to her, which I have never done before. She helped me tremendously as i was at a very low point, she got me to calm down. It was just one of those special times in a friendship when you realize that you actually have someone who cares... so Crying to someone, do you think it creates a bond between friends? I feel so much closer to her, I feel like our bond grew. She's even opened up to me a lot more. Is that weird? How do you think she feels? |

Question: Does anyone have any first hand experience with losing their mom between the ages 9-14? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 11:51 PM PDT Im making a film about an 11yr old girl and her father that are dealing with the recent loss of the girls mother. Please be really specific and detailed, like what was your first reaction when you found out, how did you deal with your loss, how long did it take for you to recover, how did your loss effect the rest of your family and your relationship with your family. |
Posted: 04 Sep 2017 11:45 PM PDT Okay so last year my 16 nearly 17 year old daughter started acting out in ways that completely shocked me. She started seeing this much older guy (21 years old) I wasn't aware of this till just a while ago! She started lying, stealing and doing drugs. I decided that enough was enough and sent her to a boot camp. She come back months later as she got keeped there for longer because of behaviour issues. But I could differently see a change in her, she was starting was follow rules again. But recently i find out that she has been seeing this guy who is 19 and just recently gotten out of jail, they meet at boot camp. I did met him and he does seem to be trying to turn his life around. But he has a 3 year old son. I asked them if they were sexually active and they both said no, but when they were saying goodbye they differently looked very close. His hand on her bum and whispering in her ear. My daughter had some friends over the other day and when I walked pass her room I heard them talking about sex. I then heard my daughter say "I know the other night I sneak out and went to his house and we total Netflix's and chilled". My questions are do you believe that they are sexual active or do you think that she was lying to sound cool around her friends? Should I make her get the bar? I asked her if she wanted it and she just turned around and said "na mom it's all cool" When do you think she became sexually active? Do you think she could go back into her old habits? |
Question: Why does my family ignore me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 10:10 PM PDT It's starting to get to me. My cousins, aunts, uncles, etc just act if I don't even exist. It's really making me sad I've turned into a huge manwhore because I feel like I could get affection from women I don't need love from them. It just makes me so sad I feel like they won't even go to my funeral if I died. They are very, very religious and conservative and I can't relate to that. Should I even try? |
Question: I've unrightfully been called ungrateful, is this ungrateful to you? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 09:35 PM PDT Ok, simple question here... Somebody gave me some bed sheets right? So when they gave them to me, I simply said "No thank you, not really looking to change mine" and they just flat out called me ungrateful. How so? I know I can't be the only one that thinks that's pretty random and a little childish. How am I ungrateful for simply saying no thank you for something somebody trying to give me? That's not right. All I said was "no thank you" actually. I didn't even say "no thank you, not really looking to change mine" |
Question: My grandma is touching me in ways I don't want her to? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 09:05 PM PDT My grandma keeps touching my butt, and she even pulled up the back of my skirt once. I've asked her to stop, but she keeps making excuses like how she's my grandma so it doesn't matter, or how she's used to doing it to my grandpa. It makes me feel disgusting and I want her to stop. I'm a minor, and I don't know if I should do something. |

Question: I really need advice!? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 08:17 PM PDT My parents are arguing really badly and my dad and my mom have started arguing a lot and now they're both at a current spar right now. My dad is asking for his phone since my mom probably hid it somewhere and my mom is looking for the car keys my dad had since we need to go to school tomorrow. I'm sick of this! What should I do? I'm actually afraid this might end in an altercation of sorts. This is immediate, I need advice since my parents are getting a divorce after this :( P.S. my dad is under the influence of alcohol currently so that might add to the pressure. |
Question: Does my grandmother feel sorry for me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 08:15 PM PDT My mom and I never got along she hates me always had and always will. She treats my sisters a whole lot different from me. I had ended up being raised by my grandmother because my mom really wanted nothing to do with me. While I really didn't meet my dad until I was like 13. I ended up staying with him when he traveled but hit was still like I were never there because of all the women he would chase behind. I'm just trying to understand why my grandmother is overly protective of me and asking me where I'm going or come knocking on my room door in the morning asking if I'm alright. I'm 27 but I'm currently working on getting my own place. She and my step grandfather asked me if I could help then out with rent so I agreed to but she's becoming more aggravating. I love here but why does she still treat me like a child. I just clean up the house and help cook if needed or whatever of that matter. What's is she so afraid of? Btw this is my fathers mother. |

Question: Single parent with sick kid? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 07:47 PM PDT I am a single parent, working full-time. My child gets sick frequently. She's been to the doctor numerous times. She appears to be just one of those kids who catches every cold. My brother and I were like that, too.How do I deal with this without losing my job. Is there any help for people in my situation? Question: My stepdad is so annoying...? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 07:41 PM PDT I grew up living with my stepdad since I was 7 and now I'm a 19 year old girl. I graduated high school and for now I'm still struggling to find a job, but somehow I was able to get accepted into college which is good so far. But anyway I grew up living with a man I never got along with but my mom obviously tried to get our relationship to work out but she never could .my mom is my mom and I have respect for her but now that I'm at an age where I understand things and I know the background story to this whole relationship between her and stepdad,I just find it stupid as to why she got with him . My stepdad sure he works his *** off to pay all the bills. But he never put an effort to actually have a relationship with my brother and I. He thinks that because he has helped my mom with certain things that includes us in it that that's enough. But obviously I'm old now and I can live my own life . But I can't stand people like him sometimes I wish I can go back in time and tell my mom the smart ideas . I sometimes wish I can show that man that all he's done is make our life much more hard |

Question: What is my cousin in relation to me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 07:03 PM PDT So, I have a "cousin, but I don't know what he is to me. Let's say his name is Johnny. A man named Bill adopted Johnny when he was young. Bill then got married to my aunt (who is my dad's sister), named Lily, married Bill, making him now my uncle. Fast forward 15 or so years and Lily and Bill are divorced, Johnny is like 25 and lives in Kentucky and is married, and I am very confused. Is Johnny my half-ex-cousin? Is he just my cousin? All help is appreciated, thanks! |

Question: Do Sons need their Fathers More than Daughters need their Fathers? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:34 PM PDT For sons learning how to be a Man from their Father is very important. Women really don't need father's in their life because they have their mothers. |
Question: What am I going to do? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:13 PM PDT My mom and dad are separated, I'm living with my mom with the constant fear of being moved to a different state away from everything I have ever known or loved. I'm scared. My dad is not in a stable mental health, or has the accommodations for 3 kids, he has my two older brothers. We have no family. No aunts, uncles, or grandparents. We don't want to move. Anything I say, my mom freaks out and automatically thinks I don't love her anymore. Where do we go? An orphanage? I'm deathly scared. |
Question: Should I be taking care of my baby brother? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:12 PM PDT My mother and father recently got in a divorce and departed, mom has all the kids, dad has himself. I am 20 and work a minimum wage job from 8pm to 4 am. This is perfect so I can care for my brother since mom leaves for work at 6 am and comes back at 4pm. I do not want to work at fast food all my life. Recently I have been looking into becoming an EMT but most classes are 9am to 1 pm, I don't mind losing sleep, but its my brother thats holding me back from progressing, He has one year left before starting Kindergarten. Though i feel the more time I wait. The harder it get to move up in life. Should I wait and take care of my brother? Or just send him to a daycare? |
Question: Do all women care to be the prettiest? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 06:04 PM PDT Like there are different types of women, but is it true that most women want to be the most prettiest and they get jealous of any woman with better clothes, better make up, etc. Or some women like this and some women care more for sports, politics, anime, etc....? |
Posted: 04 Sep 2017 05:59 PM PDT Neighbors heard me having a shouting match with parents. Overheard them saying one was concerned while another neighbor thinks i'm a bad kid. I'm not a bad kid the situation was just misread. It was a bunch of emotions kind of exploding at once . Just imagine the stereotypical Italian family that's always screaming (mine)How do i make them realize its not as bad as it looks ? I mean i live in the same complex as my neighbors i don't want them thinking ill of me or my family. |

Question: Are they a bad person? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 05:26 PM PDT If my father playfully slaps my sister and Mom's butt, even if one said to stop. Obviously has a favorite, and always walks away from a discussion. Hardly does anything of our choice, and we have no say in what the family does. |

Question: Please help with my Instagram caption for my brother? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 05:13 PM PDT I'm a fraternal twin. I'm a girl and my twin is a boy. We're 19. My brother's trying to get into acting/modeling, so he had me take a few pictures of him since I like photography. They turned out really well, and now he wants me to post one on my Instagram and basically shout him out because I have a lot more followers than he does. I have no problem with doing it, but I don't really know what to say in the caption without it sounding weird. I can't just be like, "hey, here's a professional looking picture I took of my brother! It doesn't even have me in it but it's on my Instagram! Follow him and help him become a model!" What should I say? |
Question: How to get brother to stop scarring me? Posted: 04 Sep 2017 04:58 PM PDT A stupid autocorrect always massing me up scareing |
