So, I just got an invitation to my Dad's wedding on Labor Day. The reason this is surprising is I've never actually met the dude. I sorta wanna go, to meet him and my grandparents and Uncles on that side. On the other hand, I figure it will be weird 'cause I won't know anyone there. The invitation has a box to check off if I want to bring a "Plus One". Should I bring my Mom as a "Plus One"? I've never traveled that far solo. On the other hand, would it be weird to have an "Ex" at a wedding? Should I bring a girl from school I'm kinda sorta dating? Do I ask Mom to drive me or spend three hours on the bus? My Mom thinks I was invited because my Dad is trying to hide from his new wife the fact he doesn't see his kids, or the fiance' is trying to broker a reconciliation. I'm 14 by the way.
