So the Fuller House S3 promo had a groom-to-be ask the shop lady which tie looks better on him, and she replies, "Who cares? Nobody looks at the groom." And that's kind of true. The groom just stands there, his back to everyone, bride gets a mini-parade walking her down the aisle, everyone stands/sits down for HER, people always talk about her dress but nobody asks where the groom got his suit, etc. Do you think that's unfair?

A friend of mine got married a few years ago - civil ceremony at the courthouse; about 2 years later, they had a religious ceremony in church with family and friends, flowers, reception with dinner and dancing and cake, etc - which they had been planning at the time of their civil ceremony. They recognize their religious ceremony as their anniversary date, not the date that they were married at the courthouse.
