I'm 24. My mom married 'Steven' when I was 9. I changed my surname to his when they married. They had 2 sons after getting married. They don't know that he isn't my real dad. They think he is as they aren't that close to him either. They split up in 2013 and we moved to another house. But they're not divorced and he always calls to the house to see his sons. I still live at home as I'm saving for a deposit. My mom and I thought about changing our surnames back 2-3 yrs ago but we never got round to it cause she says she would want my brothers and us to all have the same surname. She wants to change their surname. Steven always treated me differently. He's been in my life since I was 3 but he's never referred to me as his kid. He's financially supported me but that's it. I always knew he wasn't my dad but I don't know my real dad. I've never spoken to my mum about him. Today my youngest brother was out with Steven and he came back home and told mom that Steven was talking to a man and he said "Is this your youngest child?" And he said yes and the man said how many kids do you have "he said just one more. I have 2 kids." My bro'just assumed it was cause I'm a lot older and I don't speak much to Steven. I say hello but that's it. I try and avoid him. It upset me. Why do I even have his surname? It's like a hold on me. What do you think? What would you do if you were me? Should I change my surname? I'm 24 so all of my documents and qualifications have my name on them. But surely what is the point in waiting to I get married because I might not get married for 10 years! Should I change to my moms maiden name or a new surname? He's done it in front of me before when someone asked my if I was his daughter he said no. It's just upsetting to be rejected.

Can't believe I've been lying to my boyfriend for years about who I really am and what I have. We spend time together for almost 6 months we broke up. I moved to another country but we connected online years later now we are dating again. The problem is i have lied about dumb stuff to get out of meeting him as well as serious things like death in the family smh i feel horrible. I gained over 100 pounds so i can't let him see me like this he thinks im still skinny. I also lied to him about my finances. He thinks I'm loaded with money. I am 20 plus years old and i often find myself lying about my life and what i have. I need serious help. I Love him so much and i feel horrible. What should I do we are supossed to meet up in 2 days. I want to come clean. The money, me being a beauty, just seems like that is what he wanted. So i pretended to be just that. Advice please.

Me: do you have a Christmas tree? If not, I'm getting one for Christmas. Roommate: I have a small one. Where exactly do you plan on putting this in the apartment? Me: I'll find a place to put it and she'll have to stay away from it somehow bc I have to have a tree. Roommate: I'm not picking up needles plus My dogs will eat them. I'd really appreciate it if you bought a fake tree. Me: I haven't decided what im getting Id like to look though...and id clean up the needles whenever they were on the ground. Her: We CANNOT get a live tree. My dogs will eat the needles and get sick. If you want to get a fake tree that's fine but we CANT get a live tree with my dogs here. By the way, my dad is coming down too to help decorate. He visits once a year so it's the only time I get to see him. Me: Fine then!!! I'll just go home for Christmas so you and your "dad" can decorate how you want. Her: I mean, you can do what you want I'm not stopping you from decorating. I just can't have a live tree. That's all. Me: im not even going to worry about it ill go home for christmas Her: ok. Was she being selfish? Or is it me?

Make a long story short we have been together for 7 years. We recently moved to florida with his cousin and his cousins girlfriend. Anyways we smoke weed and always buy our own and they buy their own. My boyfriend used my money to buy the weed and i was ok with it and we light then up all the time but they have been tecting my boyfriend kately telling him when to go to the next room and smoke with them. I walked into the room asking then why they didn't invite me and they ignored me. I kept trying to ask if i can smoke by myself off of the weed i have and they said no they didnt have enough wraps my boyfriend got angry and told me to stop being immature and salty. I went to the other room and waited till later on to talk to him about it but he kept ignoring me sayin im being immature and that hes tired and doesnt want to talk. I started crying because he always insults me then says he doesnt want me to bother.him after doing so. Anyways i told him i dont like how his cousin is telling him to go smoke secretly behind my back when i never an stingy with my weed anyways we layed down and he said he wiuld listen what i have to say when we did so i tole him how i felt and he got mad saying he doesnt need to tell me everything and trie ignoring me and going to sleep.i kept asking him to please hear me out and he got mad and punched my leg He has warned me that he is about to start punching ny keg if i dont leave him alone which i know is wrong but i just want to know what i did

I'm 15 credits away from my AA. And I feel like I only went because my parents want me to go. I'm considering starting some entrepreneurial ventures online and in entertainment when I get out. The problem is my father strictly told me as long as I live under his roof I have to be in school. I know I have two options stay in school and please him or get out of his house and do what I want. He is so adamant about me getting a bachelor's degree that it's in his life insurance policy that I will only receive money if I have a Bachelor's. I'm considering getting a dental hygienist license after this so that I could rent an apartment. I love my dad but he just wants different things for me that I want. I've told him time and time again but he wants me to carry out his legacy in business. I always feel like I have to line up with his plans. Whether it's me getting a part-time job or what I want to do for a certain day. He made me honorary VP of his company but I've told him time and time again I'm not sure if I want to run his business. I feel somewhat trapped. I understand that he's trying to do the best for me but he's doing what he wanted his dad to do for him. I wanted my dad to do what Mathew Knowles did and put me and dance classes manage me as a musician.

So, I m 18, and im a girl. Ive been dating a girl since i was in middle school and i love her very much. My parents just found out about us being more than just friends, and they aren t very accepting of me dating her. My dad just told me that i would be kicked out if i continued dating her, and he wouldn t want a relationship with me anymore. I dont know if i should break up with my girlfriend just to make my dad happy. My dad has been physically abusive towards me in the past, but it stopped about two months ago, but he still threatens to "slap the **** out of me." I have a place to stay if he does kick me out

First to start off, our Relationship started as a long distance relationship then ended up meeting in person living together after 2 years. So Today my fiancé ex commented a kissy face and heart eyes on his photo and I got mad about it and he told me to let it go? This is not the first time though. A different time A different ex posted and old photo of them together and tagged him in and had him as his cover photo and we got into a huge argument and I asked him if she still liked him and he said "I don't know I don't care if she did" but still had convos with her. She even commented on his photo saying she was his soulmate and a big argument. He was dating a different ex before we met in person (we have was dating) and again huge argument and told me to let it go. So this ex that commented on his photo always kept messaging him , saying she will always love him, and always in their family business on Facebook as if she's still dating him( like they are not her mother/ brother,etc in law) and every time I tell him this, I'm always in the wrong like I just don't wanna be disrespected. We have recent pictures and stuff together on his page so I'm confused. How do I talk to him about this?

Where I live the jobs and the causal places are like this. Bullying is runnning rampant and fights are breaking out left and right. People carries the tendency to lure you or instigate a fight. You constantly see people in sparing matches or else rolling on the floor with each other. You do see people beat up other people. If someone tries to do something to you and you report it, all of them will accuse you of 'running your mouth' and begin to harass you and try to come after you. The General people around here will get heavily offended if you call them a 'fed' Any reason why these people around here carries these habit?

I don t know how to put this, but I ll try. I know there are many people out there who can help those who want to kill themselves, but I don t feel like a lots of times it seems like they don t understand. It s because no one knows better than you. All I can say is I LOVE YOU, I want you to live I don t know you but if your reading this and you have, are wanted to consider killing yourself please don t. I think your beautiful, perfection is just a word of many id use to describe you. I don t care what the world thinks. Ok so a little background info is that there is this high school I really wanted to go to but my mom wanted me to go to my siblings' hs but I didn't want to go to that one what so ever. So now I'm going to the hs I like but it sorta has a reputation for like alcohol and drugs but not rly and I mean what hs doesn't have their problems. So anyways my mom thinks that something bad will happen if I go to Hoco or like any school related event (outsides clubs/sports). Her one condition that I could go was that I had to go with my brother's (who doesn't go to my hs) best friend (who does go to my hs) because she trusts that guy but I'm a freshman and he's a junior and like I don't even know him and like neither does my mom but she wants him to "escort" me and like supervise (aka babysit) me. I don't know what to do but I rly want to go cus I want to hang out with my friends and have a good time. Should I ask him if he'd be willing to like idk just take me but not like as a date date or should I just not go because I know I'm my mom would not budge. Thanks :/
