We're just friends (this isn't about relationships and whatnot) It's not that I'm immature, per say (I'm responsible and act "grown up" when I need too), but I look a lot younger than I am and I feel more their age than mine (unless someone directly asks me how old I am, they won't know). I'll be graduating from college next Fall and they're like Juniors/Seniors in High School. We get along really well and have a lot in common. Do you find this really weird? |

I told her that I don't want to have any drama during school. But Jen flipped her **** saying 'I was trying to make her the bad guy.' 'I am playing victim.' 'It's all my fault' '**** off' 'kys.' Mind you, Jen is kind of emotionally unstable. I've been there for her 9/10. After I made up with Jim, Jen didn't allow me to see Jim. Until, my friend Jess told me to be friends with whoever I want. So I came out that I've known Jim since I was 5, and Jen for a year. I told jen that it's hard for me to drop people I'm so emotionally attached too. I told her I was angry in the heat of the moment. We go out to parties on the weekend and study together in the hallway sometimes. In the beginning of the year we would eat dinner together a lot, but now that classes have started this is a little harder. I mostly eat with my roommate and sometimes one other girl from our hall. Sometimes I feel like the other girls are getting closer to each other than I am with them and sometimes I feel a little left out, even though they aren't doing it on purpose or trying to exclude me. I'm more on the shy side when I first get to know people and sometimes I feel like by the time I'm completely comfortable, they'll all be close friends with each other and i won't be able to join. I know i'm probably being irrational and it's only been like a month of college but I'm not used to not having a close group of friends. Even though we always hang out on the weekends, I sometimes worry that sometime they wont invite me. Do you have any tips on how I can be less shy? (I'm not extremely shy with them but I sometimes feel like they talk more than I do and I sometimes hesitate to add my input into conversations). Also do you have any tips on how I can be more confident and actively try to be better friends with them? I started noticing that she was copying everything I did. If I straightened my hair she would to, whatever band I liked she liked, I play guitar, she now plays guitar. Other friends noticed and joke that she had a shrine of me at home. I spoke to her about copying me although she denied it. A few days later she turned one of my other friends against me and they both just ignored me. It's been over a year since our fallout and still share the same friends. Iv been told by other friends that she has said that she can now be "popular" and that I am arrogant and overbearing. I have also noticed she still copies me and tries to become friends with other people I have become friends with. I was on one of our friends Facebook and saw her photo in the friends list, so I clicked on it. Her Facebook page was exactly like mine, with all her likes and dislikes exactly like mine. Her profile pic looked exactly like my profile pic, she did her make up like mine, her hair like mine and did the same pose. Our pics looked identical. I was creeped out so I deleted my Facebook. She knows I had Facebook because she left a comment on our friends page about how hilarious it was I had one, considering I barely had any friends. Ik I sound very mean but I'm just in a bad mood. Anyway, they also seem to think I'm annoying, even my dance friend. Everyone kinda has their bff in the group, and I don't. Even my dance friend is with my former bff My former bff is jealous and always tries to 1 up me. Also, the former friend is the one that we were fighting over boys. He try's to roast everyone and it's so annoying. If I ignore him, he will end up saying something to me that goes over the line. Ex-you're fat,that's why you have a big mark on your face. Since he's the only one talking,everyone can hear him. I'm not a fighter btw, I make piece. What should I do? Snatch his weave? I stink at comebacks. Remember that ignoring him in the first place is what causes him to embarrass people. |

I say "Sounds like a personal problem. Let me know when you figure it out." They get mad/upset because they think that I'm being rude or don't care. I do care though. Posted: 27 Sep 2017 07:56 PM PDT I changed classes to be with my friend he used to sit near me but suddenly he stopped the people who he sit near them keeps making fun of him about him looks and when i asked the others about it they keep on saying its normal its been always like this for years.when i ask him to sit near me and leave those people he refused and he says that he have a reason and its non of my business what could be his reason ? Should i ask him again ? Should i ignore it ? I donk know it seems as if it hurt him but he is ignoring it what should i do ? |

It turned out the favor was dropping everything I was doing to drive across town to pick her up from a restaurant and take her to church for Wednesday night service. I was in the middle of doing homework (which had a deadline of that night) and had a test to study for, and picking her up and taking her to church would have taken at LEAST 45 minutes from me. I told her I was really sorry but I had a lot of homework to be doing, but I totally would have picked her up if I wasn t doing anything else. She just said "Oh okay" and hung up. I feel really terrible because I would have wanted someone to come get me if I were in the same situation, but I had a ton of stuff I needed to be doing and didn t have the time to add one more thing to it. I feel like my roommate is mad at me and I don t know what to do. |

So Nicole and i have been pretty good friends since 3rd grade. I guess we're kinda best friends! And now...i'm hanging out with my other friend "Jessica". Honestly i forgot how me and Jessica met but now we cant go hours with out texting! And we always talk about stuff crushes ect. We hang out at recess and lunch though because that's all we have but anyway i have played with "Jessica" pretty much since the first day of school and now.. Nicole is jealous! (And mad at me!!) When Nicole ever sees me in class (I sit in front of her) She says Hi ex best friend! and other stuff like "So.. who are you gonna play with today me or jessica?" it's really annoying..because she KNOWS i'm gonna hang out with Jessica.. i'm growing apart from Nicole Oh and Jess and Nicole HATE each other! I wanna tell Nicole to stop being jealous but i'm to scared! and when ever i play with her its boring! Also nicole has head lice... What can i do about nicole and jessica.. I'm so confused.... Posted: 27 Sep 2017 06:32 PM PDT So here is the story, I was at her house for dinner with her family and I hadn't seen them in a year, since I never rly went to her house. They speak a different language which I can't speak but can understand, which they didn't know. Out of the blue one my friends parents whisper to my friend "did (me) get fatter??" Then her entire family scoffs at me or gives me like this look of disapproval. I know I gained weight but it wasn't rly a problem because I was underweight before and still am I just started working out more to gain more muscle (plus I grew like a ton more than my friend) and not look like a piece of spaghetti. After that her parents kind of are a little off to me. They aren't very happy to see me with her like they used to. Then all of a sudden I invite her over for a party and she tells me her parents don't trust me anymore because I planned last minute and I didn't tell my parents (which I legit planned with them 2 weeks ago and sent invites 1 1/2 weeks before the party) I know it is a little last minute but to know how her parents don't trust me if kind of shocking to me because I have been friends with her for years and I don't want her parents to not trust me with her. I don't think I am a bad person because I have never broken any rules or did anything bad like getting detention. I have straight A's and everything. I just want her parents to trust me because I feel bad that they don't want me with their daughter. |
| Question: Is it strange that I am a freshman in high school and have no friends? Posted: 27 Sep 2017 06:17 PM PDT So, I'm in 9th grade, and I basically have no friends. I suspect that this is because I'm quite shy, and to some extent, "different." For example, I don't have any social media, I don't wear make-up, and read waaay more than I go on my phone (which people call "anti-social") and stuff like to that, and I've noticed (because when I don't talk, I'm a silent judger and noticer) that loads of people usually hang out with others that follow trends like that. Even when others attempt to be my friend, I tend to push them away without trying. I would like to make friendships, but it's hard when you push everyone away. And the weird thing is that I don't even feel sad about not having friends. Don't get me wrong, I want friends, but I don't dwell on the fact that I don't have any and get myself depressed. |
