She is moving with her boyfriend. And my mom is sad but supportive of that. But when I mentioned moving out by September back in around may or June my mom kind of freaked out and went into panic mode. Needless to say, I couldn't move out because I wasn't thrifty with my money. But why the strong reaction when I wanted to move out but the support when my sister wants to? It just makes no sense to me.

I was born and raised in a small BORING town. 3 years ago, I moved to a big city. I love it here. There's so many things to do, so many people I have things in common with. First off my mom is married and has been for 17 years. I've never seen a sign of unhappiness between her and my dad. That being said, there's this gym we go to (my dad rarely ever goes) and there's usually a tall dark and handsome black guy who works there as a personal trainer and he sometimes checks people in. Every time he sees my mom he converses with her for a little before she goes in to work out. Well just yesterday it got taken a lot further. He started flirting with her and saying things like she needs to "stop playing and see me" and "let me take you out." I expected my mom to put her foot down and be assertive, but she just kept laughing and blushing, saying "you're so silly" in a kind and joking way. Then he brought up the idea of being her personal trainer, and she ageed! She signed up and took his card. I couldn't believe it. I felt like that was disrespectful to my dad and her marriage having a guy who asked you out be your personal trainer. Now she's gonna be seeing him every week. I didn't know how to react, it was the first time I've seen a black guy hit on my mom. I've seen my mom get hit on a lot growing up by other men, it was sort of normal because she is beautiful, but I've never seen her respond to them like she did this guy. She's 38, middle eastern (Chaldean Iraqi), 5'3 in height, long black hair, cute face, full lips, and a nice figure. BUT SHE'S MARRIED. I think it would've been worse if I wasn't there. Should I be worried?? Why is she doing this?

I could probably argue it and get away with it but tomorrow is the funeral and my Mom doesn't want me there so since I was not close to this aunt of hers I figure I will save arguing for a more important event. She doesn't want me there because she resents her uncle and another aunt with a passion for defending their son who had an extra-marital affair instead of the son's now ex-wife who my Mom is best friends with. So she is trying to keep me away from that part of her family. This great-aunt that died had nothing to do with any of that but also was not close to the family. So should I feel guilty? My other cousins are all going except the one who is five years old and scared of funerals.

My parents never tell me when they make plans and I HAVE TO GO TOO. It makes me mad because I sometimes have too much homework and assignments to do but its too late to shift around the schedule. Also, I just don't know whats going in around the house anymore. I just figured out that there is something near my dad's brain FROM A PRAYER I BEFORE DINNER. My parents never talked to me about it even though they know that I know. I overhear things and it isnt that hard to figure things out. I m 14 and I have autism and an extremely short temper. Sometimes I ll get very mad and shout at my mum or swear at her, then I ll retreat to my room to let the tension die down. Majority of the time, I apologise after a while and let my mum know that I didn t mean what I said. I also have issues with commitment to going to school and after being sick for over a week, I finally got up the courage to ask my mum for 1 day off so I could feel better. My mom takes my laptop and my cellphone if I stay in my room for a long time, and when she gets to take them she still gets to argue about the fact that I am still in my room doing nothing and that I belong in the living room with my parents. I use my laptop to play video-games and she thinks that it's useless and doing nothing to improve my future. I know video-games are useless but I can't just stay in my room studying or doing something productive all day long. During summer, I didn't have a laptop nor cellphone and I used to wander around the house from room to room finding something to entertain me. My friends keep arguing me for not replying on their messages all day. Is there any way I can get them back now? I cannot remember what happened..only that he sat me on his lap and gave me beer. Nightmares plagued me for years. Found out when I was around 13 that he tried to rape my cousin "Liz." She was 14 at the time. The only reason he didn't is because her sister "Mary" heard her screams and busted the door down. "Liz" told her parents a few months later. For some reason nothing ever happened. More family parties pass..same uncle attends the parties. One time I overhear uncle asking where "Liz" is..he is drunk. I run and find her..we lock ourselves in her upstairs room with "Mary." We are safe. Fast forward...I'm 18 and I finally tell my mom what my uncle did. She's shocked..asks what happened. I can't remember so she tells me she can't help me if I don't know what happened. Mom tells my older brothers. Fast forward..I'm 26. I have a 1 year old daughter. Same uncle is having a baby shower for his wife. Mom tells me she is attending and if I plan to as well. I get angry and remind her what he has done. To myself and "Liz." We argue. My blood goes ice cold. I tell her that I would never knowingly put my daughter in harm's way. I inform mom that if he ever hurt my daughter..uncle would die. Mom goes to said baby shower. I don't want to see pictures or hear about it.

I have a good friend who I'm very close to. She's 50 and I'm 19, we're both girls.. she's become a very special friend, one you rarely come across. We get a long so well for our age difference, we have so many similar life experiences. We talk all the time, over the phone mostly because we live far. She will help me through my life problems and I will help her, she's so supporting and caring, consdering she's a blunt and reserved person. We can talk about anything, we've cried to each other on the phone and have helped each other through tough times. I'm completely comfortable with her and I assume she is too as we have shared so many important private things with each other. She's a great friend and mentor to me. She helped me when I reached a low point in my life, I was at a bad point the other day.. she called me and got after me for considering something stupid. She said how special I was to her and that she would be heart broken if anything ever happened to me. We were on the phone for 3 hours that afternoon. So firstly I'm a 16 year old boy and I come from a super religious/cultish family. They believe masturbating is a "way of letting the devil in". I use the same sock to do my business in (please don't judge), and once I'm done I put it back in my sock drawer. The next day I come home from school and smell an awful smell. I see my mom in the living room holding the sock at the very top saying "I found this sock while cleaning your room, care to explain?". I felt like I was about to throw up from being so embarrassed, so I reply in a light soft voice "I.. uh.. don't know". My mother tells me how sinful masturbation is and how I should be ashamed of myself. That went on for about ten minutes, then she threw the sock at me and said, "If the grossness comes out of your body, you need to put it back in". I was extremely confused and still embarrassed at the same time, and then she threatens if I don't eat the sock then she'll confiscate all my belongings until I'm 18. This sock is also crusty and yellow so there's no way I will eat it. She's giving me until tomorrow to eat the sock, so if I don't I will lose all my belongings for the next 2 years. Can someone PLEASE suggest how I handle this by myself? My dad is out of the picture right now so no help from him there. My boyfriend and I have a child together. It's his biological son but not mine. His mother signed her parental rights away when he was about 1 or 2 years old. Since then, she has sporadically seen him, going months without seeing him until finally, she stopped completely a year and a half ago. My son doesn't even remember what she looks like apart from her having blonde hair. I am now in the role of his mother. He calls me mom and mommy and my boyfriend said that he's never seen him so happy. From time to time, I check up on his bio mom's Facebook. She has a new daughter now and on his birthday, she posted about her daughter and not her biological son. Recently, she posted a cover photo of her daughter and an old photo of her bio son (she doesn't have any recent photos of him because she doesn't see him) and said that, "her kids are her life." My parents are separated and my mom and I have been living with her parents for two years. Every month she contributes money to pay for the mortgage/utilities of our house, which my dad and sister live in. My grandparents have recently been very passive aggressively hinting that they don't want us here anymore. Honestly, they care more about our dogs than they care about us. At times, they can be rude and just disrespectful to us. Their house is average sized, but somewhat small so it's hard to avoid each other. On the other hand, the house my parents own is very large with a fully finished basement that we could live in, only it has one room. The house has several other rooms we could stay in as well. My dad is a total jerk (of course, which is why we left), but we have no issue with standing up for ourselves. My mom doesn't want to move back because she hates my dad. However, I'm worried that we will be stuck here at my grandparent's house forever. She never goes to the other house, so it will take years to finish getting rid of her stuff so we can sell it (for reference, it;s been TWO YEARS, all of her stuff is in two rooms, and she's gotten rid of NOTHING). Plus, if she moved over, we would 1) be able to live and spend time with my sister again, and 2)not have to worry about being kicked out/my grandparents passing away and having nowhere to go. Thoughts? I'm not underage, I can live where I want and my mom has said I can move, but I really don't want to leave her.

Ever since she started 7th grade, I noticed her personality, clothing, mood, and music have changed. She used to be so excited, bubbly, and she loved spending time with her friends, but now it seems like she wants nothing to do with them. Everyday she complains about school and how these kids were picking on her. I've talked to the teachers about this issue, but she says that they still continue to bother her. Later in school, her grades dropped a bit. I asked her about this and she responds "Why does it matter? What's the point? I'm too tired." I've received emails about my daughter not eating, and how she looks sad and the teachers ask me if everything is okay. My daughter got rid of her colored clothes. Now she wears only black? And when we are in the car and I put on some music, she gets annoyed and says "This crap? This isn't music." She used to love pop music and now she likes some type of rock or metal genre of music. i was in her cell phone and i know it was wrong to be in an adults phone but this guys name caught my attention so i looked through conversation and it looked like an old friend that's she's known for years. then i saw thy were talking dirty and talking about have sex and loving each other and all this freakyness. he says he's always had low for my mom and would like to knock her up. i think it is disrespecting my dad and right now he is in dr taking are of business for family. they always fight and he doesn't really contribute to the house hold but i still don't think that's a reason to cheat . it hurts me because i'm the child and i don't know what to do

i got no clue what to do with my life. im just depressed and dumb. ever since i finished high school i completely slipped from a 3.8 gpa to know a 2.1 gpa. i finally just stopped going and dropped all classes. my parents are mad at me. im lost in life and my parents dont understand. what should i do?

I'm a 24 year old male, ever since my teens me and my dad has almost never been on good terms. I'm the first child and for this reason I think he wants me to be perfect. Best in school, best in sports, best in everything. Wich is impossible! No matter what wrongs I do he make me feel Like im the worst person. Mind you he has a little bit och an alcohol problem. Whenever he's drunk he gets mad super fast and calls me crazy things. Tell me to ''**** off'', ''if you die i wouldnt care'' ''you are not my son'' ''you are a zero, you are worth nothing'' and so on. I dont think he understand how this can affect someone. I have confronted him about it plenty of times, but he never learns. Is this common for fathers to be? I feel like I never had a real role model. And my father only lives at home because my mom dont want him to live on the street and be some alcoholic junkie... Sad but true.

how they were able to ma age it? I can't function well. I was the executor of his will and he left a fairly vast estate. Family is fighting over it. he was 37..like me, and had no children. I have had to go alll over the world this summer settling his estate.....brussels to b ring his body and heart to our family crypt in Heverlee and necropolis at Enghien respectively. then Switzerland and palm beach to deal with his assets. Now that I'm back home in. NYC I just can't get out of bed. but I can't sleep or hold down food either.

Me and my sister are both in high school. Recently she told me that our 13 year old cousin steals cigarettes from his dad and smokes them. My sister isn't really the type of person to "tell on" anyone, so I know she'll keep quiet about it. I don't like to tell on people either, but I'm worried about my little cousin. He's so young and cigarettes are so bad for you. I know that he also hides a lighter and some cigarettes in his room. Should I just mind my business? Or should I tell someone? My Dad went out to go pick up my stepbrother with my stepmom and I was home alone and worked on my homework until they ot back. In the basement, a door was closed that was supposedly opened when they left. I said that one of our dogs had probably hit it but both of my parents started to yell at me for lying because they accused me of shutting the door. They are mad now and I am up in my room. I am 20 and living in my own house that my dad inherited to me. I am paying my bills by the skin of my *** right now because i have a disney trip coming up for my sister s wedding in 2 weeks. My septic field just got backed up and it costs $300 to fix which i dont have unless i miss my sister s wedding (not doing that.) Do plumbers ever finance people?? Can i get a loan from my bank in a pinch like this even with no credit? So i can get my septic fixed and be able to pee in my own toilet before going to disney? Halp?
