Question: Which Disney couple theme is best for wedding? Posted: 25 Sep 2017 01:13 AM PDT We are planning our wedding. I just thought we could do Disney theme. Which couple would be best. Most people might say Cinderella and Prince Charming. But we have a son, he would be 1 year old for our wedding. We want him in the theme. I couldn't think of baby in Disney couples |
Posted: 24 Sep 2017 11:51 PM PDT Recently engaged and planning my wedding. Which is more enjoyable a live band or dj? My fiance literally doesn't care and I'm leaning more towards a live band because I feel like everyone has a dj. Curious on other peoples opinions. |

Posted: 24 Sep 2017 08:55 PM PDT i currently live at my parents house because i'm in college ( i take night classes. I'm moving out when i graduate in a couple months, i just want to make sure i have a solid degree before i take the plunge to move out. I'm currently 25, i work part time as a makeup artist and part time as a substitute teacher. makeup is not what i went to college for, but it is what i live and breathe. its my undying passion. i went to school for communications but i've sort of lost my passion for it over the years. i figure i might as well continue with college even though i probably wont work in the communications field because i've already invested so much time and money into trying to get this degree. anyways, on the days i do makeup i spend hours upon hours trying to create looks, so i need perfect lighting. normally i step outside to get good lighting. photographers I've spoke to said shots come out best in the AM outside in sunlight. everytime i try to go outside and take pictures next to the window my dad complains. he always yells " what are you doing, you look crazy" and he'll be like " don't do that" and i keep telling him i'm trying to get good makeup pictures. on another instance i bought a green ombre wig with black roots for a cool and unique makeup look i wanted it to pair with plus i've always been unique with my style, i took pictures in it and got tons of compliments about how it was perfectly cohesive with my makeup and my dad walks in the room and goes " i'm not taking you anywhere with that wig on ( currently dont know how to drive yet so sometimes he takes me to the grocery store and to run my errands) i was like " everyone says it looks great on me" |
Posted: 24 Sep 2017 08:44 PM PDT my brother and his girlfriend ( both 21) are constantly laid up under each other in my parents house and i think its kind of weird and awkward and plus disrespectful. i don't even hold my boyfriends hand in front of my parents because i think its weird and awkward. my brother even goes even farther with the disrespect by laying under each other in my brothers bed until 1-2 am |

Question: My husband isn t invited to my son s wedding. Should I take him anyway? Posted: 24 Sep 2017 04:38 PM PDT My husband and son never got off on the right foot but my son at least tried to get along for me. Then he started dating his fiance. My husband has struggled with addiction and at a bad point said and did somethings he shouldn t have but he s trying to get better and were moving on but not my son and her. They won t come to our house for holidays or visits. If I want to see my grandchild I have to visit there and my husband isn t welcome. My husband has never met our grandbaby! My son even said he s not her grandpa when we were arguing about him not coming over for christmas but my ex his stepdad gets to see her all the time! It s not like my son to hold a grudge so long but his fiance says she isn t comfortable around him due to something he said over a year ago when he was drinking! Now I was told he s not invited to their wedding. If I don t go my ex s family will talk about me like I m trash and they do the same thing if I show without my husband. And it s not fair to him. I m thinking about tak8n2g him anyway whats the worst that could happen? |
Question: Should I ask my hippie sister to be in my wedding? Posted: 24 Sep 2017 12:11 PM PDT My sister and I aren't super close but we still get along. My parents want her to be in my wedding... but the only thing is that she's a hippie and looks like she never showers. Her hair is dreaded, she doesn't believe in shaving, and doesn't wear deodorant. She also always smells like pot. She's going to make the bridal party look really bad and it's going to be embarrassing. What should I do? |
Question: Is it ok to be hurt that she didn't ask me to be in her wedding? Posted: 24 Sep 2017 12:03 PM PDT My best friend from college is getting married. We laughed together, cried together, roomed together in college and shared things with each other that nobody else knows. 5 years later and she's getting married, we aren't exactly the package deal friends that we used to be. I still consider her my best friend, but she has also changed a lot and her life has taken a different direction. But I still assumed she felt the same way about me However, she didn't ask me to be a bridesmaid.. and back in college she used to tell me I'd be her MOH. She instead asked me to be the guestbook attendant which is pretty cheap considering everything we went through together. I have half a mind to just not be involved at all. I really am hurt that she didn't ask me to be in the wedding. Should I confront her? Or just suck it up and do the guestbook thing? |
Question: Can anyone answer my wedding question? Posted: 24 Sep 2017 10:44 AM PDT When I go to someone's wedding, what should I put in my small clutch bag. I can't fit a lot into it. |
Posted: 24 Sep 2017 10:02 AM PDT One of my best friends is getting married almost a year from now. He messaged me and asked me for my address because he is sending out save the dates. We had talked about weddings before a few years ago and we both said we would be in each others' wedding parties, but now that he is sending out save the dates, I'm wondering if he's not going to ask me. He and his fiance are Americans like me, but he's been in Saudi Arabia for work for about a year and a half (the wedding is here in the US though). I'm wondering if that is why the save the dates are going out so early and why he hasn't asked me yet. I'm obviously going to the wedding no matter what, and I still love him like a brother, but am I right to be concerned and a little hurt? |

Question: Who'd walk me down the aisle? Posted: 23 Sep 2017 12:11 PM PDT I'm pretty young so obviously I'm not getting married anytime soon. Anyway, my dad has never been here for me. He abandoned my sisters and me for drugs after my mom died. He chose a woman and her children over his own daughters. When my mom was alive, he wouldn't get a job and that would leave my mom working all the time and worried about bills. Our dad was verbally (emotionally and mentally as well, if that isn't the same thing) abusive and manipulative. My older sisters are over 18 so obviously they're off on their own, but my little sister and I have been left with my grandma and my step-grandpa. I have no idea who would walk me down the aisle when I get married. If my dad comes back around, I'm not sure what I'd do. I mean, of course I would want my step-grandfather to walk me down the aisle. But since we don't have any blood relation, his daughter would be offended. She even makes her kids call my grandma by her first name because they aren't biologically related (that's besides the point, but it just shows how uptight she is about that stuff). I also wouldn't want to make my dad angry, assuming he gets his head out of his *** by then. I would want him to be there for my wedding, but he wouldn't be the one to walk me down the aisle. He can't "give me away" to my husband if he wasn't willing to keep me in the first place. I know, I'm too young to be getting married, but I'm worried if I don't do something about it now I won't until the last minute. What should I do? |

Question: Gift amount for wedding invited to with 2 wks notice? Posted: 22 Sep 2017 05:34 PM PDT Invite is from groom over text - he was a college mate, we had a few classes together, good enough friend to attend the wedding but not bffs. I knew his wedding date was decided 6 mos in advance, when his invites were sent out (didn't receive one then). The text invite is for the Indian wedding & Indian reception (traditionally 2 separate days). Since the wedding is Friday morning I've already declined but accepted to attend the reception. Gift will be a Gift Card - I am thinking of giving 50$ (I'm in California). Normally, I would never go under 100$ even if I am attending one event but the text is a horrible way to get invited to an Indian wedding - at minimum the invite should have been mailed. [Also - there wasn't a capacity issue for his wedding/reception and since the reception is local even though it was a last min invite it will look bad if I don't go]. xyz |
Question: How do I write a best man speech in place of my deceased husband? Posted: 22 Sep 2017 02:49 PM PDT I am a bridesmaid in the wedding- I m good friends with the bride and the groom. My husband was best, best friends with the groom and unexpectedly passed away two months before the wedding and was supposed to be the best man... they have chosen to leave the best man position vacant. Today, (TWO DAYS! Before the wedding) the bride secretly asked me to write and give a best man speech in place of my departed husband as a surprise to the groom. I am ok with the idea, although it will be difficult, but am having a very difficult time figuring out what to write as my relationship with the groom obviously differs from that of my husband. I am very limited on time to figure this out and don t know what to write! Help!!! |
