Question: What kind of ring is this? Posted: 05 Feb 2016 08:40 PM PST I bought a ring at a auction today for my boyfriend, and I don't know what it would be. I was thinking it could be used as a promise or engagement ring, but I don't really know. Judging by the picture, what would you say it is? Help will be appreciated! |
Question: Should I invite my sisters mom to my wedding? Posted: 05 Feb 2016 11:48 AM PST My mom died when I was 5 and I was raised by my paternal grandparents with my dad in my life. He married and had a daughter when I was 7. I never got along with his wife. The two of us could never be in the same room together. So when I was 10, my dad stopped trying to make us get along and he kept us apart. I developed a relationship with my sister when my dad would bring her with him. My dad died three years ago. I still have a pretty good relationship with my sister, but it's a little strained at the best of times because of my issues with her mom. So now here's the deal. My sister was annoyed that I invited her, but not my mom to my wedding. She called me up a few weeks ago and asked if I should invite her and then told me I should/have to when I told her no. She feels it's time I started treating her mom like family, etc. My fiance's mom was spending some time with me when my sister turned up and asked me to invite her mom. She told me she feels it might be a good idea to strengthen family ties, etc. My future MIL is the type of woman who believes in family being more than blood, forgive and forget and all that fun stuff. What would you do if you were in my shoes? I really don't want her there. But I'm starting to doubt what would be for the best. But she wasn't in my life when I was a kid. I had no relationship with her from the age of 10. How is that my fault? She didn't really like me when we met. I think she had hoped I'd be more like her and my dad and when I wasn't, would snap at me for saying something she disagreed with. I don't call her my stepmom because she wasn't in my life after I turned 10. I never saw her until my dads funeral and haven't seen her since. So stepmom/stepmother has never really fit for me. |

Question: Are wedding photographers usually needed for more than 8 hours? Posted: 05 Feb 2016 09:21 AM PST I am meeting with a few photographers for my wedding in November. Most packages available from all vendors include 8 hours. Do I need to budget in more time? |
