Posted: 28 Feb 2016 04:49 PM PST So I just moved to a new state about 4 months ago, and I still haven't made friends, but there was this one girl who managed to friend request me on Facebook, and she says that there's a bunch of gossip of how I intimidate/scare people. I am very quiet, but that's because I have social anxiety disorder, and nobody ever wanted to talk to me, until that girl talked to me on Facebook. And I'll mention what happened last week. There were these two people talking about Undertale, and I love that game, so I said "... Undertale? I love undertale." In a somewhat optimistic voice, and I was smiling a bit. But when I said it, one of them seemed to get really tense, but the other person showed me the drawing they did of Sans. But after that, the conversation died down quickly. They seemed like nice people, and I wanted to show people I'm not as intimidating as they think I am. And I'm usually not one to be annoying, so I don't think they felt like I was annoying. I used to be somewhat outgoing in my old school, but a small amount of people were still scared of me. The only thing I know, is that people have told me I have glaring eyes, like someone who could freeze hell over in a glance. Why do people feel this way, and how can I look a bit more settling, so people will talk to me? |

I will explain the type of person Jessica is (please do not say I'm being rude because I have known this person long enough to to know what kind of person they are thank you) so Jessica is the girl who is very funny but can and will be rude to people at some points. She can be very mean also. So basically when Jessica and I were friends we shared many jokes and laughs together but we also went through lots of fights together.Also the whole time we were "friends" she talked behind my back said verymean and rude things about me and my family that weren't true, turned friends against me etc. so rn we aren't friends she once again called our friendship quits. We don't have any classes together and we barely talked so I saw how it wasn't working out. I ve gotten her presents to try to help her feel better and know that petiole really do care. She has a bad history with emotions I guess u could say. Her stepmom put her in a mental facility when she was young because she supposedly had anger issues of some sort. We moved into this old house ( I have always loved old houses and never found them creepy like some people), and one of the things I found was a secret room connected to the closet in one of the bedrooms. I have 2 kids (a 15 year old girl and a 12 year old boy) and when they found out about it they fought tooth and nail about it! They both want that room so bad! I eventually calmed down and was able to fall asleep. The next day, back at my home, she sends me a text saying that she felt, "uncomfortable" when I was crying and when I was texting my family, she felt as if I was telling them that I hated being in her house and wanted to leave and never come back. Of course, I told her that was not the case at all! I told her that I m very family oriented and that it worries me to death to be separated from them from a very large distance. (She lives in the mountain regions of my state while I live in the city part which is hours away from my home.) She then tells me that it s fine but her text messages are just one or two word replies. I m starting to have serious doubts about her. | Question: Going on a 5 day class trip but I don't really know anyone? Posted: 28 Feb 2016 10:54 AM PST I'm going on a school trip to New York that lasts for 5 days at the end of March. I signed up for it at the beginning of the school year (I'm a junior in high school) because my friends were going and I wanted to spend time with them. Well, things happened and my friend group broke up and they pretty much hate me. On the trip, I only have one friend, but she's closer with the ones that hate me than with me, so I'm sure she'll be with them instead. I only know a few friend-of-friends going on the trip. Should I try to befriend them during the trip? I'm honestly just really nervous about the whole situation, because I'm usually quiet and shy. Thanks. |

One day ally (anon) told me that Susan is fake & i was confused. I told maya about it & she agreed. They then told me about Susan & I started to not like her. I didn't hate her completely, I kept my distance, but we talked a little. Then Ally went off on me on how I am fake to susan & how she would tell her everything. I couldn't handled being called fake (i used to have a lot of labels for no reason when I was in middle school that's why I freaked out) so I told susan everything and how I went behind her back saying mean things & I went into further detail in what I said. Susan forgave me & said that she was happy that I was honest. After I told her, Ally then texts me saying that she does confront people angrily so that they are scared (just thought it was important). now me being an idiot i told maya & ally that I told susan what I said and the whole story so susan knows why I said means things to her and I didn't want to be fake to susan. I thought i should tell them so i was honest. They are severly mad @ me & called me a bully, backstabber, & two faced. Maya told me that it would take a long time for her to forgive me. This all started when I was about, let's say, 15. I used to be a totally cool dude. I was funny, outgoing, played 3 sports, and performed very well in the classroom. Then, in November of my sophomore year of High School (I'm currently a sophomore in college), I fell seriously ill with pneumonia. I spent many days in the hospital and it took quite a bit of time to recover. Then, everything changed. I stopped doing my schoolwork. I kind of felt overwhelmed and let things slide. While this was going on, my sister (who was a senior in H.S. at the time) had a shady boyfriend and was illegally out late at night with said boyfriend and shady people. My parents hated this immensely and ridiculed her, so the morale of the entire household was at an all time low. Moving on, that spring I felt different. I had quit all my sports, began stealing from my friends and parents (money, video games, the lot), stopped doing my schoolwork entirely, and just did, well, nothing. I would come home, steal soda (my mom hated when people stole food), chips, and such and sit on my computer for 5+ hours on end, maybe coming out of my office to eat dinner. I cut off my friends (except for 1, who's a pretty integral part of this story later on). I gained about 60 lbs (134 lbs - 200) in less than a month. I became unclean, my face became riddled with acne, and I had absolutely NO tact with girls. |

I say supposedly funny things and then my friends laugh but i have to say im joking because they think im serious. I'll be like,"im joking!" There were many incidents when my friends actually thought i was serious even after they laughed. Im very silly and i can also be very quiet. He told me that he hates the job so I tried to encourage him and sent him a motivational quote but he texted me back saying haha thank you...he also said lol three times in our conversation although there was literally nothing funny at all in the entire conversation. He did that with me before in text msgs saying lol although there was nothing funny too and when I meet him face to face he sometimes laughs and I don't even understand why or what he means with his laugh. Also, my first semester went well with grades. I made all As and Bs. But this semester has become harder. I'm trying to work harder but I'm making Cs or worse. I'm very stressed out and I feel depressed. I've tried talking to my family but they said staying home isn't a bad thing and I don't need to be going to college perils anyway. Posted: 28 Feb 2016 09:26 AM PST I put up with continuous daily bullying from an individual for a long time.This included very personal insults made in front of other and social manipulation to isolate from others. I did all things people recommend, humoring him, ignoring him, focusing making my life better. All this, in his mind only gave him greater control and the bullying did not stop. So, I gave up. I knew no words or actions such as ignoring him would have affect. i shoved him against the wall and told him to put up or shut up in a highly aggressive matter, though I never raised my hands or hit him. As characteristic of bullies, he coward on the floor. I did this more as a statement then as self protection. People should not be allowed nor encouraged to act this way. The next day he was nice and respectful of not only me but everyone. He seemed to have reflected on his past actions.Then others started calling me crazy and psycho and showing sympathy for him. Within days he reverted to his old self and went complaining to authorities. They told me i needed anger management, though i have no history of aggressive behavior. I am generally a caring, respectful person. What sort of society do we live in that rewards those that harm others for their own enjoyment and chastise those who simply stand up for themselves? |

It's just, we don't connect anymore like we used to due to a huge argument. I am annoyed extremely by his personality and I find myself very foggy minded in his company. bottom line in my case was that no matter how much history I had with my friend, or how long we were friends, or how much we both wanted it to work out, I didn't and couldn't trust him anymore. And no matter what we tried, that trust wasn't coming back and neither was our old relationship. He wants to hangout every day and is already planning for summer. I can't tell him I don't want to hangout or avoid him in any way or else drama will break loose so please don't suggest that. I can't just suck it all up and hang out with this person because it gets to the point where I am shaking by the presence of him. It sucks living so close. It seems almost like there's no way to avoid conflicts starting. What can I tell this person when they text me?? Do I HAVE to hangout with this person (last year I was basically forced to) What do I do???? What happens if he just show up at my door step? this person will want the truth and then get mad and it after I give him it, by the way. Ignoring the person completely is kind of working but not really. I NEED GUIDANCE! |
