Posted: 24 Feb 2016 07:38 PM PST I have this friend of mine that I've had feelings for for a while She lives in my home town, a year younger than me still in high school while I'm at my first semester of college I told her my feelings for her over long distance and said that I wanted us to date, but she rejected me by saying that she didn't have time for a relationship and that she doesn't like commitment I wasn't destroyed, and we were still cool about it for a while. We remained great friends. But then one day, about a month later, she just stopped talking to me, no warning , just stopped talking to me. It was weird because we used to text every day. I tried texting her a few times, and she would entertain them with a few replies, but then she just stopped replying to those too. She still reguarly posted on social media, plenty of tweets, instagram uploads and snapchat stories, but no time for me. 2 or 3 months pass and it's my birthday. I've been holding out for a text from her, I never went a day without thinking about her she plagued my mind. And, she did text me happy birthday, and at that moment I felt amazing. We ended up talking all night, and it was just like things used to be. But then, she got really personal. She started talking about her ex and how she still wants to be with him, and then she told me an in depth story about their entire history together. She told this to a guy she knows has feelings for her, on his birthday. Does anyone else think that's kind of out of line? |

I told him that I cheated on him (which was a lie) and he struck me in the face. he tried to make it not a big deal and try to blame me. then he just started bawling his eyes out and begged for my forgiveness. I was extremely disappointed and hurt that he would ever do such a thing...I didn't want the relationship to end but I didn't want to be in an abusive one. he hasn't hit me before and hasn't since. I told him one of the only ways we can be together is if he told is mom what he did. she told him he's an asshole and that she's disappointed in him. I thought that maybe if he told someone he was close to, he could be held accountable. was this the right thing to do? my gut tells me he's not dangerous, nor abusive, but he did hit me. he felt terrible about it, but he still did it. he knows he has to rebuild his trust with me. is it possible for someone capable of hitting their girlfriend to not be an entirely abusive person? of course I want to be with him, but I don't want this to be my life. if he ever touches me again I will leave no questions asked. but I feel as if this is one of those things that dot deserve a second chance even though I want to spend my life with him. any advice? |
