Question: Help finding the perfect wedding dress?!? Posted: 20 Feb 2016 08:42 PM PST I am engaged and have been looking at wedding dresses from the start. We decided on where we wanted bith the ceremony and reception almost instantly. A family friend owns a quaint barn out in the country so we decided to have the ceremony outside of the barn, then move the reception inside. Obviously this will be a summer wedding. But I can't find quite the dress I'm imagining. I swear I'm not that picky. I just want something that would look good in a barn/outdoor wedding while still being flattering on both me and my budget. We are by no means rich or even well off. I have been on countless sites and have found 2 I am considering, but they just aren't what i pictured. I'm also doubting myself that they'll look good on me and in that setting. Also what guests will think. I am also a plus size bride which does not make this any easier. What websites would you suggest I look at? What kind of dress could you picture in this setting while being budget-friendly? P.S. Budget friendly as in under $350 :) |

Question: Are people supposed to bring a gift to the wedding or reception? Posted: 20 Feb 2016 08:09 PM PST I am getting married in 2 weeks and I read that the people that I had invited are supposed to bring a wedding gift. I am not expecting anyone to get me and my fiance anything but I heard it's a tradition to do so. Any thoughts from people who are married or experience at a wedding. |
Posted: 20 Feb 2016 07:08 PM PST I'm 20 years old. I've been with my boyfriend for the past 2 years and I've been living with him for the past 8 months. He's going to propose to me (he's not good at hiding it) and I'm so excited! I know that I'm young and everything, but I'm OK with that. Some people tell me I would be throwing my life away if I got married so early, but I don't think I just feel like I'll be able to experiences with him. I've never had another serious boyfriend, but I'm OK with that. I love the idea of my man being the only man I ever really have (aside from a few high school flings I don't really count). Part of me really likes the idea of getting married young because it would give me a few more years of just me and my husband before I would have kids (not that I don't want kids, but I would like some time with just him before I have any). Getting married young wouldn't prevent me from getting my degree or getting a job, and I think having my husband supporting me would help. I feel like I already know what being married to him would be like because I've been living with him for almost a year. I love living with him. I feel like marriage is just the extra promise that we will be together forever. Some people tell me that I'm too young. They say I don't have enough life experience or I don't know what I want because I haven't dated a lot of other guys. Maybe I haven't dated a lot of other guys, but I know I love my boyfriend. However, as time has gotten closer I've gotten a little nervous. I know he's going to propose next week. I want to say yes, but I'm a bit worried. I feel like I shouldn't be too worried because I know I love him, but I feel guilty because I am. Sometimes love isn't all that's needed to keep a marriage together. Am I too young to get married? How can I know if saying yes is right? For those of you who will wonder he's 27. I know he's older, but I prefer older guys. I like that he's older than me. |
