Question: Should I plan my own Bachelorette Party? Posted: 25 Feb 2016 06:10 PM PST As tacky as this may sounds, stick with me here. As of now, my Maid of Honor (or any of my bridesmaids), have not mentioned anything about a bachelorette party. My Maid of Honor keeps saying, "I feel like I should be doing something" in a joking tone, but doesn't offer to help. I told her when she first became my Maid of Honor that I would love to do something simple for a bachelorette party, like taking a group burlesque class or having dinner at the local drag queen show that specializes in bachelorette parties. Both of these options would be around 100 dollars or under. Nothing that would break the bank too bad, especially if all the bridesmaids pitched in. I recently asked another bridesmaid if any of them were planning anything, so that I didn't go researching on my own, and she said no. One idea I was thinking of doing was dropping major hints. Like texting her a picture of the Burlesque Studio and saying "Hey, they said they have bomb Bachelorette Parties here!" or mentioning the topic in conversation next time we have drinks like "My coworker said Lips just got a new performer!" to get the conversation rolling. I wouldn't mind at all helping her pay or plan. I hate making people feel obligated to do something, but I just don't want to be "that girl" who plans a party to honor herself. Opinions? Here is a full version of my question. It wouldn't allow the full explanation here. http://forums.theknot.com/discussion/1068936/should-i-pllan-my-own-bachelorette-party They are 100% not surprising me with one. Posted: 25 Feb 2016 05:05 PM PST This guy from class since day one kept staring at me and he asked for my number because I was absent and he got the study guide. Long story short he texted me a week after saying " things like how are you, this and that and finally he said "Well I'm almost home, until next time, it was nice talking to you, be easy." FYI: he has a ring so he's married. I'm not interested in married men but he insists way too much. Also, I barely reply to his messages. |
Question: People who get married in their yard. LOL So freakin gay and stupid.? Posted: 25 Feb 2016 02:26 PM PST I see some people just can't afford a big wedding so what do they do? Have people subjected to watching them celebrate in a backyard. Yeah that is cool, wear a wedding dress and suit in a backyard of a house. WTF? |

Question: Terrified about being my dads best person? Posted: 25 Feb 2016 01:08 PM PST My dad told me I was going to be his best person at his wedding. I'm not allowed to say no. He told me that several times. The thing is, I've suffered from severe anxiety disorder since I was a kid. I have panic attacks easily and hate crowds and standing in front of people. School is hell for me. Especially when I'm in a large group of students. My dad doesn't understand and forces me into situations that even my counselor advises against. He's even putting himself into debt to have a big wedding because he wants to force me to be in a large crowd of people for an entire day. I have begged and pleaded with my dad to cut me some slack. But apparently he's tired of it all and he said I'll have to get over it. He's always felt like that. Always. But since getting engaged, he's been finding ways to push me. Last Saturday he informed me that I'll be making a speech at the wedding and if I don't, I can expect to be grounded for the foreseeable future. Now I'm terrified. I will not get through the wedding without having a breakdown. Nothing will make it easier. My counselor is concerned about it, but he's refusing to discuss it with her now. My grandma is doing her best to try and see if she can help me. But the wedding will be happening in the next couple of months. Any advice? Please don't tell me to deal with it. I'm doing my best and want to be better, but it's taking a while and we're trying different things to help me. |

Question: Need outdoor venue- Southern California? Posted: 25 Feb 2016 09:51 AM PST Hello, I am in desperate need of a venue for our wedding May 20,2017. We are looking for a venue where we can bring our own catering and own vendors. Also, we would like our wedding to be outdoors since our theme is rustic. We want lots of trees and grass to hang lights from. And would like to be able to have our wedding till 11:30pm minimum. (Open to 11:00pm) We have a budget for venue only and would like to stay under $6,000 with tables and chairs included linens napkins etc also if possible... Hope you can help !!! We are really sweating it!!! |
