Question: Child support payments plus alimony is too much for me.? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 06:01 PM PST i am self employed graphic designer i just completed my taxes last month with a gross income of 31000$ and my net income came out to 20000$ which comes out to 400$ a week. My child support payment is 155$ a week plus 125$ in alimony which is 280$ every week. I went to court last month to modify my payments and also family relations officer reviewed my taxes instead of using my net income of 20000 they ran my income based off my gross which comes out to like 550 a week. We went in front of the judge to explain but my ex said that she wants to come back with an attorney as a result the new court date is set on 2/25. Today I got a letter in the mail that I am 2000$ behind in payments if I dont pay this amount by 2/24 they will take legal action against me. How can I pay 280$ every week when I am making only 400$ a week. I have been sending the payment for my son every week I just cant afford the alimony. Alimony is set to expire in 3 months which will be total 3 years I have been paying her yet she is still not working. My court date is on 2/25 but this letter tells me I have to pay this by 2/24!!!!! |

Posted: 13 Feb 2016 05:24 PM PST My husband was recently served papers trying to raise child support for his son from a previous marriage. He has not seen his child in several years because the mother REFUSES to let him even though the court never took away his visitation! We recently found out that his son hasn t lived with the mother for about a year or so now because she is in very bad health and residing in a nursing home while their son is living with her parents. My husband was never notified of any of this and is still paying child support to her even though she does not have him. Can somebody tell me what can be done about this??? P.s. the child support and custody case is in the state of Nebraska. |
Posted: 13 Feb 2016 05:22 PM PST I received an email from a recruiter Thursday evening from a fairly large company for a phone interview. She sent her email at 4:30pm. I checked my email late night because I was traveling(current job related) the whole day and reached my home at 11pm to check emails before I sleep. She asked if Tuesday the 16th is good and requested a time so I responded by almost midnight. I gave noon as a time but mentioned I can work with her schedule. But never replied back to me all of yesterday. She left her office and cell phone numbers in the email however. If I hear nothing by Monday(national holiday), should I call her on Monday? Or should I wait until Tuesday morning? I have no idea if this company takes off for Monday. I don't want to bother her on her holiday and come across as rude/pushy. But I don't want to be blamed for her failure to reply back. |
Question: Is my better half being inconsiderate and mean-spirited? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 04:44 PM PST I am a very supportive male who lives with his better half who is a full-time art student. I provide for all of her needs (food, clothes, shelter, etc.) until she graduates from college. She is not a very talkative young lady, but I am a very talkative man. However, on far too many occasions she has halted me in the middle of a conversation and said, "You have already said that on a previous occasion." To me it is very mean-spirited, because I have a lot of stuff on me, and I don't have many friends to talk to, so when I repeat something that I have said previously it is usually because what I am talking about has not been resolved, and it is still bothering me. I am not an overly emotional man, but what irks me is that I would never ever in a million years do the same thing to her, or anyone that I was conversing with. Is my better half being inconsiderate and mean-spirited? |

Question: Moral dilemma regarding sex? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 02:12 PM PST I have always believed that sex should be saved for marriage, for emotional and religious reasons. But for the past month I'm realizing that I don't even want to get married. I don't want to marry someone just so I can have sex and have an unhappy marriage. It's not like I want to have sex anytime soon. But I don't know what to do - why should I save my virginity for "the one" if there is no "one"? |

Question: Is this relationship worth trying to save? Please help? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 02:01 PM PST My husband and I have been married for almost a year, and he tends to get upset about the same things over again. For instance he works nights and if I clean up while he is at work, he gets upset and often yells because I moved his things and he doesn't know where they are. I could just avoid cleaning up at all, but when I do that the place looks like a complete mess. I have even tried just not moving his things, but that is impossible because his things are all over the place. He also admitted that he is always going to get upset when I do things like that, but I have to forgive him. He almost always apologizes later on and says he loves me and says I can do what I want, but he will end up doing the same thing all over again where he gets upset at me again another time. It does bother me when he does this, but I never know what to do or say and I never let it get to me too much because in the back of my mind I always know he will apologize and tell me he loves me. Question: Things are good most of the time in our relationship, but when my husband gets upset I know it is something that I probably should not tolerate. What can I do about him getting upset, for instance when I clean up/move his things? I feel like we should stay together since things are good most of the time and he does apologize when he gets angry, but we have only been married for a year so I just wonder if things will continue down this path. |
Question: When does a woman's sexual drive die down ? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:53 PM PST I'm in my 20's and am horny like ALL the time, it's an inconvenience and annoying, but I can't make it go away. I will sometimes go days without masturbating, but that's because I work long hours and am dog tired when I get home, but then, on my days off, I will masturbate like two or three times that day ! It's like anything that I touch gets my genitals aroused and wet. When will I no longer have to go through this ? I posted here because The Women's Health section is full of 13 to 16 year old girls asking about their periods, so I won't get any answers worth reading over there |
Question: Changing last name back-- not divorced? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:53 PM PST So I'm joining the military and I go on May 3rd. I got married-- which is fine, but I also idiotically changed my last name. All of my paperwork will be completely messed up with a new last name (took my wife's last name but kept my own) Is there anyway I can change this back so it's just my last name so the paperwork is not messed up? I would call the courthouse but they are closed for the weekend |

Question: I think my wife may be having a lesbian affair with our neighbor.? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:23 PM PST My wife is best friends with our divorced female neighbor. We both have daughters the same age (12). Our daughters grew up together playing so it was natural that the mothers would gravitate towards a friendship. All seemed normal. Until last week when I got off work early, which I never do. When I pulled up to our house my wife's car was in the garage and the garage door was open. I parked in the driveway and went in through the side door. The house was silent so I assumed my wife was next door. To my surprise, after a few minutes in the kitchen, my wife and our neighbor appeared from our bedroom. They said they were having a private talk about some personal issues. I noticed that they were both flushed, red faced and their hair was a little undone. They were vaguely sweaty like they had been working out. Their small talk was strange and disconnected. Like at the scene of a car accident. I found it strange that neither was making eye contact with me, looking away quickly. When our neighbor left I hugged my wife. She didn't smell like herself. More like our neighbor whom I had hugged at holidays. Now that I'm looking, there seems to be lots of other things. I casually asked questions of my daughter, and often when the two girls are together, my wife and my neighbor will go to a bedroom to have quiet girl talk. For years, they've been doing this apparently. I can't stop thinking about this. I don't know what to do. |
Question: Why do women file for divorce more then men when men are cited for the child support? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:23 PM PST |
Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:18 PM PST I am the youngest in my family, with two older sisters. All 3 of us got a degree after high school. However, my two sisters only worked in their fields for a couple of years before marrying. They both married well-off men, and now lead a semi-retired lifestyle. Now that they have married up and are settled into their upscale lifestyles, my parents look at me like I need to catch up by somehow "obtaining" a six figure income, wife and kids. It seems like this is the elephant in the room. |
Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:17 PM PST My girlfriend lost her virginity to me. At first when we made love I thought for sure I'd be able to make her orgasm because I'm the experienced one. When it didn't happen the first time I was sure it would happen the second time, or the third time We've made love four times and I still have gotten her to orgasm. It makes me feel not that great of a lover. I really care about her and our relationship and giving her sexual pleasure is something important to me. It also makes me feel like we're more connected as a couple. It's hard for her to know what I should do since she's only made love to me. How can I figure out how to make my girlfriend orgasm? Preferably multiple times I put this on marriage and divorce because I think this section is more sexually experienced than 'singles and dating' |

Question: My husband likes another woman? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:20 PM PST Hey everyone, So, getting straight to the point, my husband likes someone else. He even admitted it to me and said he has considered leaving me. Which is completely out of his character. I can tell he s really struggling with this. After days of persuasion, he finally agreed to stay and at least try and make things work. My question is, how do I try and make things work while combatting this jealousy and worry? When I know he likes this woman and works closely with her? I appreciate any opinions you have. Thank you, -Heartbroken |

Question: My ex fules our childs anxiety, help? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 11:34 AM PST I was sick this week. I am no longer ill and am on antibiotics. Our daughter is 12. She got to spend an extra night at dads because I was so weak from working yesterday (manual labor job) I let her stay there. It is now 3pm and I was to have her back last night at 6. She is crying saying she doesn't want to come here because I will "get her sick" and he is saying I should give up my custodial weekend entirely to him because she is so scared. I know he is feeding into her and she needs to learn we have had this agreement for 6 years. I told him no. Who is right here? It is a legal, court-ordered agreement. Thanks He sued me for this agreement. 50/50. So why should she stay there all weekend when there is nothing wrong with me? |
Question: Has anyone been depressed or married to someone who was? What was it like? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 11:29 AM PST I think I am depressed and I want to know how it affects men versus women. |
Question: Wife has been withholding sex and gaslighting about it. Move on? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 11:29 AM PST My wife has been withholding sex to get her way for decades. I know a lot of women do this to some degree, and that there is this general "maybe she's not getting what she needs" argument which has been exhausted in every way on the Internet already. Don't wanna go there! I've tried everything and she just wants more. As soon as her "needs" are met, there are more needs. Now that she's reaching menopause, she's gaslighting me about her actions and motivations - trying to re-write our history to suit her own fragile self-image, and trying to coerce me into agreeing by tears and verbal attacks. My question is this: Whether she's an evil and manipulative b$tch who just stepped up her game to full on emotional abuse, or just a frigid wife who now regrets what she's done as she loses her fertility, do I really need to delve into this with marriage counseling and sex therapy, and spend years more of my life pursuing a withering piece of a$$ that has rejected me more times than I can count? I want to do the moral thing. I really never wanted to get a divorce, and I took my vows to heart, but she's the one who shut the door, and quite frankly I can get of women at almost 50 that I could never have gotten at 20. Do I owe it to our marriage to ride this crazy train through, or do I owe it to myself to jump off? |
Question: Wives: how long did you date before getting married? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 11:11 AM PST |
Question: What should I do about marriage? Living in different states no communication? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 11:10 AM PST Ok we married in 2009 and had a very rough patch from the get go. I was arrested and had charges dismissed between 2010 and 2013. We had a lot of pain and arguement a during this time frame. She was just hired by the FBI an has moved to DC by herself since jan 2015 we haven been talking because she refuses to. We have 2 kids together 3 and 6. They miss their mama and I do also, but she refuses to try and reconcile, she seems set on living our lives without talking at all. When I mention divorce she says "do what you have to do." I'm tempted but I know cost of living is high out there an I don't want to put her on child support I've had custody since she left. She says we "may be able to try" butni have to move the kids and I to DC and get my own place. I make 35,000 a year. My job at one loin was willing to transfer me to DC but she threatened to have me arrested if I came. I've never put my hands on her, but she has to me. I'm looking for some good sound advice. Plz help. |

Question: Do you ever wonder about ex's? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 10:46 AM PST I'm happily married. Every once in awhile I will think about a previous lover & wonder "what are they doing with their lives now?" I obviously don't contact them & have no interest in associating with them but sometimes I can't help but wonder - did they get married? Did they have kids? Etc. is this normal once in awhile? Is it any indication I'm not over them? I just feel bad that this crosses my mind on occasion |
Question: Ever been so angry thought about divorce? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 10:40 AM PST My wife & I had the biggest argument of our marriage. I ended up leaving & staying in a hotel I was so angry. At that moment I thought I was done & wanted a divorce. I questioned why did I marry this women? I have no intention of divorcing my wife I love her very much & have since cooled off & resolved our issues. Has anyone ever had this thought cross their mind when angry with their spouse or significant other? Is this normal? I feel really guilty for even thinking & feeling that way it was just the heat of the moment. |
Question: Have a lot of your friends gotten divorced? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 10:35 AM PST I'm in my late 20's & a large majority of my friends are getting married. I am in no rush to be married at this time. I sometimes worry about divorce. (I know sounds dumb) but it seems more & more people are getting divorced now then ever. It just seems as though people don't take marriage as seriously as they had previously. Have you noticed via social media, discussions with friends etc. that many of your friends have divorced? Many of my friends who did marry very young are already divorced. At what age do you notice divorce is more prevelant amongst friends & family? Just wondering! Thanks!! |
Question: My husband is 22, Never wants to have sex..? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 10:02 AM PST Everything I've looked up is advice from older people that have issues like erectile dysfunction & things of that nature. My husband & I are only 22 & have been married a little over a year. In the beginning he could never keep his hands off of me and we had sex at least 4 times a day. We got married very soon after dating about a year because in his religion we couldn't live together unless we got married. He rushed things so quickly & I sometimes wonder if he got married to me as a cover up. As soon as we got married he became very distant. We didn't have sex our wedding night. He just fell right asleep. and ever since we've gotten married we only had sex once a week or once every couple weeks. then i found out he was watching porn every time i even left the house or when he was at work (he's always alone there) and everytime I see the movies he watches on netflix or other sites they're all dirty movies. that are pretty much like porn. I told him how it made me feel so he said he stopped. But still we don't have sex and I wait and wait to see if he will ever initiate but he doesnt. Its always a different excuse. One day his stomach hurts, one day he's too sleepy, one day he says its because i fight with him, but the only times we fight is when i tell him i feel that he is unattracted to me. And when we do have sex I feel like he forces himself because it takes him so long to become erect. Its like he does it for me and not himself. He is also muslim. Could i be a cover up? |
Question: 1000$ a month to much for kids? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 10:02 AM PST I know I already asked this question but I got a lot of negative responses and I just want to advice on what I should do I'm 38 I have 3 kids one boy two girls my son is 19 and in college and two girls in high school one 15 and the other 17 and yes I got married at 18 and had my first child at 19 ans two years later had my second and a year and a half later had my third I got married young because I am forging and my parents literally wouldn't let me get out of the house unless you were married you couldn't go out and have fun my parents were old fashion to them once you're old enough you get married so I did. Ever since we have spoiled are kids with everything they could ever want giving them money my husband gives them each 1000$ a month and that's just for them to spend on themselves we pay for everything else food for when the go out to eat their gas money cable and phone bills so basically everything so that 1000$ is for extra spending money but they are spending that 1000$ in about 2 weeks or less and end up asking for more I feel they should get a job and learn how to save their money because we are not going to hand them money for the rest of their life what should I do??? |

Posted: 13 Feb 2016 09:32 AM PST (we live in California) So to keep it short, my wife and I, together for four years, got married on a broken foundation. We were too young and did not really love each other at the time. over years of problems, we realized that we were growing much closer as friends than spouses. So we've been brainstorming the idea of divorce. We want to remain friends and we may even get back together in the future, but right now out marriage is getting in the way of our friendship, and we don't want to be tied down with this legal bond. We want to experience the single lives we never got to live. So what would be the easiest, least stressful, and cheapest way to do this? We have no children, very few assets, all of our savings has nearly been earned equally... and we really do want the best for each other. Any advice would be appreciated, But only advice regarding filling, please. No marital advice. thank you. |
Question: Is 1000$ a month two much for kids? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 09:26 AM PST I'm 38 I have 3 kids one boy two girls my son is 19 and my girls are 15 and 17 me and my husband give are kids 1000$ a month most of the time more because they spend it so fast I say no when they ask for more but my husband always gives them more so they get about 1,500 a month or more we already pay for their food, phones, cable, gas, etc so the money only goes to what they want like food going out hanging out with their friends whatever extra stuff they want they always fail to save anything by the time the month is over they have like 20$ my husband doesn't see this is a problem but I do he says they are young and just are trying to have fun but how can a teenager spend over 1000$ a month and that not be a problem I try to talk to my husband he just does not listen. My son is in college and I feel he should work for his money and not just rely on us he says he will start working after he graduated but I can't really believe that because he does nothing all day the maid makes his bed does his laundry everything so he does nothing just eat and chill all day and my two daughters do the same thing what should I do I dont make the money in this family so I can't tell my husband how he should spend his money please give me some ideas and things I should do to fix this I'm 4 months pregnant with twins and I want to fix this with my kids so they don't grow up relying on us and we live in Boca Raton Fl |
Question: This is the proper decision in this case, right? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 08:51 AM PST So my wife actually proposed that we get it on. It has been a while (period, work schedules, etc) and she has been reading quite a bit of smut book lately. Really wanted me to go downtown. Thankfully the kids being around/awake provided enough excuse. See I have the upcoming opportunity to get a bunch of alone time coming up here, and my porn habit is gonna net me a really big nut. So while I would love to get my face wet, I don't want to waste the last five days worth of no release on some boring vaginal intercourse that'll be over in fifteen seconds. History tells me that after I put in all of that exuberant work on her account (and don't get me wrong, I love doing that), I won't really get any pleasure on my end. You know, the kind I'll get watching Cindy/Anjelica/Nikita. So, the right call? |
Question: Ex and cell phone sharing with child? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 08:17 AM PST I have been sick for a week with a nasty virus that is going around. I was sent home from work and my ex had our child. Instead of explaining to her I was sick, he had her texting me with his phone for over an hour while I was wrapping things up at work so I could leave. She sent me over 10 texts asking if I was going to be ok, if I was throwing up everywhere, random symbols and emoticons, and he knew she had the phone and that I could not talk. When he does this, she gets upset when I do not respond and I feel guilty like I need to reply asap to every single text our child sends. I did explain to her I was driving home and that I needed to drive and even then, she kept texting "No, please talk". Is this unfair of my ex? This is why she does not have a cell. Thanks. |
Question: What does it mean when mothers tell their daughters "you married your father"? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 07:54 AM PST |
Posted: 13 Feb 2016 07:23 AM PST Being unprincipled would mean that you never say sorry when you do something wrong because you have no morals and you don't believe you did anything wrong. Thinking too much and doing too little is pretty self explanatory I would think. Basically, a person who either complains too much and won't take charge, or a person who has lots of ideas but is too lazy to act any of them out. I was told they are both bad, so I won't argue with answers, I just seek clarification on WHY you think they are bad. |

Posted: 13 Feb 2016 06:54 AM PST It really seems like people in their 20s are more immature than they were in the past and it carries over into marriage. They seem like they still want to party and neglect parental duties. Alot of these couples seem like they act more like young teenagers than someone in their 20s. And I say YOUNG teenagers around 13 and 14. I dont know whats with this millenial generation but they seem so much more selfish and immature than in the past. Its like they dont want to or CANT grow up. |
