Question: Is it fair they have to share my room with a 3 year old? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 01:34 PM PST so im a 13 year old guy and i share a room with my 3 year old brother. i live in a 3 bedroom home so my parents have a room, my two sisters that are 11 and 8 share a room, and then i have a room with my brother. I've had to share a room with him since he was 1 and a half. the room is average size with two beds, two dressers, 2 closets, 2 night stands, so i get my own space for things. its just annoying how theres baby toys and things , i love my brother but he is little and i don't get so much privacy, he sometimes makes a mess which is really annoying especially when my friends come over. Its also annoying that he goes to bed at 7 and when i go to my room i have to be really quiet which is a little irritating that i can't relax in my own room at night or talk to my friends on the phone or even have them sleep over. also i have to wake up at 630 to get to school on time so my alarm wakes him up in the morning which isn't right to him either you know. how do you think i should deal with this every room in my house is used for something |
Question: My mom is so stupid. Help?? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 01:32 PM PST This is going to be REALLY long so beware. And btw I'm 11. I am disgusted that she is even related to me. She has terrible grammar and she teaches me how to talk like her. She lies about everything and she's the main reason why my parents got a divorce. She is a terrible mother. She rewarded my bratty little brother by getting him a video game, and then he tells her that she owes him $50 for allowance, which he never does, like wtf? She doesn't discipline my brother and I which is why my brother acts like the way he does. She is also SUPER MESSY. She is a hoarder and whenever I throw something away, she secretly takes it out. I am so embarrassed to live with her or to even claim her as my mother. I would go live with my dad, but I don't think that would be a great idea. Today I was in the car with my brother and when my mom left, he turned the volume down on the radio, which was rude of him because I was listening to it. I asked him why did he do that and he said it was too loud, it wasn't, so I told him to get some headphones because he was watching a video on his phone. So I turned the volume up and he turned it down again! So I pinched him(yeah I know that was very stupid of me) and he started crying. He had done this many times before and when she came back I told her I didnt punch him, I just pinched him and like always she believed my brother. She threatened me that she was going to tell my dad about it. I think I have anxiety because of her. What should I do? |
Question: Found Out My Dad Hired an Escort...What Do I Do? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 01:30 PM PST For context, I'm an adult and my parents are empty nesters. Anyway, my Dad was on a business trip recently. When he got back, he said there was a problem with his phone and asked if I could fix it. I went to fix his phone and noticed he had a bunch of spam texts. I went to delete them, but noticed one curiously read message. It was my Dad asking if someone was available to visit his hotel room at 9pm. I thought that was weird, but decided to Google the number he texted and it turned out to be an escort service. I would really like to pretend it didn't happen, but I feel guilty hiding it from my Mom. What should I do? Confront him? Tell my Mom? Or just keep it to myself? |
Question: Are a lot of older brothers hypocrites? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 01:28 PM PST It's really annoying. I mean i know for a fact that if I said some of the things he says to me that he would try to beat me up, because I've tried it before. I mean it's not about me being more stupid because I understand that we all have our strengths and weaknesses but sometimes I feel like he thinks I'm an idiot because of some of those weaknesses. These weaknesses are mostly being awkward in social situations and getting afraid quickly. |
Question: I Love My Step Sister? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 01:25 PM PST me and my step sister are close we both love each others a lot I call her my sister and look at her as my sister and she looks at me as her real brother we never say classify ourselves step siblings but brothers and sister is this ok because my sister means everything to me? |

Question: Is this abuse? Please help? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 12:47 PM PST I was sick today and slept most of the day. This incident has already happenedd millions of times. An hour ago my mom came barging in screaming at the top of her lungs with insults on how i never do anything in the house for her (We speak in french, i cannot write the insults on here for most people to understand), She then proceeded to throwing herself onto me and punching me wherever she could, causing me to have bruises along my legs and red marks on my arms (like claws), she started throwing around all the furniture, pushing everything to the floor. Then something weird happened, she started zoning out from the fact that she was mad at me and just destroyed everything around her , she banged and punched the door hard screaming in agony, i was already in a corner scared she was gonna throw the chair at me after she was throwing it repeatedly to the ground. I took a video of this ( sounds) but i was too fking embrassed to send it to anyone or keep it in my phone so i sent it to myself by email in case i need it one day She then calls my dad when she starts realizing what shes been doing might be wrong to convince herself of the own lies she will tell him, i feel so confused about whos right or wrong, should she act like this? I cant tell because shes always been like that for the past 5 years, I realize the fact that i bawl my eyes out over it thinking about this all the time, terrified if i step out of the line, that maybe it is wrong? Please help asap |
Question: How do I tell my dad he's holding me back when he doesn't want me to chase my dream? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 12:31 PM PST I know exactly what I'm meant to do, but it's a risk, and that's fine by me. But my dad doesn't really support it. He says he does, but whenever I actually bring it up he always tries to talk me out of it or gives me some fake *** "compromise" as if what I want to do is just a phase and I just need to get it out of my system or something. I've had the talk with him before but he's really manipulative and somehow got his way, like always. I'm not happy. I even told him that but, well, nothing. Please help |
Question: How do I get over the hurt of family issues, where are there websites with advise? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 12:28 PM PST It involves people not speaking to each other and me caught in the middle as a result due to not being able to socialize or be as close to people as I once was. I am not involved in the fights but I don't boycott anyone which angers some people. Also, it started with my parents divorce when I was 12, I am now 19, and so I am linked through being the child of the original feud. |
Question: My mom is spending money on something I don't want to do.? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 12:28 PM PST I take gymnastics with my brother and sister but none of us want to do it. My mom wants to save money and we have all been talking to her about letting us quit since we aren't having fun or enjoying it. It cost a lot of money to go and that's why I don't understand why we can't just quit. I go hang out with my friends regularly so I don't think it is because she wants us to get out of the house. Can any of you please tell me how I can ask her to quit so she will listen or if any of you understand from a parents point of view why we have to do it? |
Question: Am i the way i am because of my childhood? (Depression, Social anxiety etc..)? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 12:24 PM PST I had a good childhood however i have been personally assulted by siblings when i was young. I am the youngest out of 9 siblings. I have seen my siblings fight, i have an alcoholic brother who i think ruined 8-9 years of my life... i was once suffocated by my sibling ... I seen a lot of arguments not only with family but relatives etc. At a young age, i seen and hear things i should not off have. I think my main cause of how i am now is due to my alcoholic brother who during my school days kept me awake as he sleeps next door... plays loud music and probably had countless of fights with him when i was defenceless. When i grew up (17-18ish) ... I started to fight back... I started to look for an excuse to fight my brother. My brother has assaulted nearly everyone in the house including my parents (chucking hot water at my dads face... that just part of it). All the negative stuff that happen in my young days i have forgiven and i love my family to bits however i am very much like to seclude my self sometimes and i cannot speak to my family normally (only a couple of my siblings i can speak properly with). I have a very protective mind where i will die for my family... The sibling who tried to suffocate me is now my best. I feel like every problem each of my family member have... i feel like I have to do something about it. i am a VERY empathetical person (it is a positive attribute to have but i have to much sympathy for people now). Continued..... I am 24 now, and suffer from anxiety and now depression. I was given anti-depressant which i believe made me actually depressed. I am always fatigue and have little to no motivation any-more. I hardly sleep as i am used to not getting good sleep due to 9 years off waking up to loud music and shouting. I am quite confident... I will help anyone who asks. Even random people... I show a lot of sympathy. Right now i do not know what normal feels like. What type of therapy do i require? Although my brother has put me through hell... I still love him and care for him. We have tried hundreds of time to fix him up but he wont go to rehab or help him self. I was willing to give all my savings to put him through rehab but that did not happen. We dont even look at each other or speak to each other but the love is still there. After taking Anti-depressants, i started feeling worse so i ended up taking other drugs to give me the push i needed "motivation, energy, sense of well being) |

Question: Whys my dad such a fraidy cat? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 12:15 PM PST We was hungry and we stopped at a food place, walked in and some people was arguing. So my dad turned back around and pulled me out. Then we had to drive a long more time to find someplace "suitable". All just cuz some people was arguing. And he was even racist cuz when we was driving, he was looking out the windows and saying we can't stop to eat in this area. And I said why not and he said look at the people. They was black people. Isnt that racism? |

Right now I need to do my homework but my cousin wants to come over. I feel bad and all that she's the only child and all but she's super spoiled. She gets everything she wants. Question: I found out my brother gets abused? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 12:02 PM PST Well he's my half brother. when he goes to see his Dad on certain weekends I didn't notice marks when he came back until one was a red pulsing bruise on his face. He eventually cracked and told me. He said i can't tell anyone or he gets worse. He's young too. He's 11. I would think in this situation Id tell someone but when you're actually in the situation it's hard and scary. I don't know what to do. Whenever he goes over there now and comes back im starting to notice all of the marks. I wish I saw them earlier. The heart breaking part is that he thinks he deserves it! He's such a sweetie he doesn't deserve it at all. He gets into mischief like any little boy but nothing to deserve this. What can I do??? |

Question: Is my stepmother evil? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 11:55 AM PST In front of my dad sometimes she is nice. To start off I dislike my dad and live with my mum. I went disney world Orlando with my dad, stepmother and her grandson. In America she walked around top less in front of me and her grandson she also told him I was a cow after me and him fell out. When I asked my dad if we could go to a restaurant she was saying "the queen has spoken" and "we will do whatever she wants". She was talking about me. She is never nice to me when people are not around and acts really fake when they are. She said to my dad one time"if we don't straighten her out I will leave you" when her son is in jail. She disrespects me and I don't cuz I am not that person and whenever she disrespect me in front of my dad he sits there like a idiot which has no clue what she is talking about. So do you guys think she is evil or mean or just normal |

Question: Why does my family hate me? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 11:33 AM PST My parents brother and sister all hate me. Im the middle child but ive tried to ignore that about myself.. ive been called rude, obnoxious, whore, slut, *****, dumbass, idiot, stupid, fat, ugly, disrespectful, and brat. My brother calls me whore slut ***** dumbass fat and ugly. My mom calls me rude obnoxious idiot disrespectful and brat. My sister (who is only eight. Im fifteen my brother is sixteen) picks up from my brother. And my dad just doesnt talk to me unless he wants something. I dont even talk to anyone in my house but they still yell at me. My grades got horrible at one point and the names came at me. They are so much better now but they still yell at me. My brother has punched me in the arms leaving bruises, pushed me and threatened to break my stuff. My mom calls me rude and disrespectful if i try to even talk to her. My little sister tells me im stupid for crying all the time. I have been hard on myself , telling myself i need to toughen up because i thought maybe that was the problem. All of the toughening up went down the drain and now all i want to do is get in bed and cry forever. Sounds cliche but thats only how i can describe it. I dont see a point in life anymore. Not sure why im still even trying. I havent told anyone about this, i dont really have true friends, i cant bring myself to trust anyone. I always feel like people are judging me everywhere i go.. |

My mom talks to the guy who is supposed to serve him a lot, on the phone & through text. Mostly about my dad. But I just came home & the guy was at my freaking house??? Is that normal? I tried calling a few times, and each time i did the lady said that the person i am calling is unable to answer the phone. Does that mean he changed his number or hes not using his phone? by the lady i mean the one who starts talking when the person doesnt pick up the phone. You know the one who says you can leave a message after a BEEP |
Question: Should I visit my father who is in jail for life without parole? Read below? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:34 AM PST I was 12 when my father was arrested on two charges of first degree and sentenced to life without parole. He denied the charges but all the evidence looks like he did it and 18 years later he is still in jail. He sent me a rambling letter asking me to come visit him about 3 years ago and I declined to even respond. Now I am wondering if I should since it is my father and I am the only surviving child (my sister died three years ago in a car crash). So should I visit him and what would I discuss if I did? I don't want to bring up the case since he still claims his innocence. |
Question: How do you ask someone if they were molested as a child? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:23 AM PST Recently, one of my friends uncovered repressed memories of being sexually abused by her older sister. The sister did male-oriented things, was quite violent, and it lasted for years. Now that she remembers, she isn't upset with her sister. Instead, she is worried because she knows that in order for her sister to have done that, her sister had to have learned it somewhere. With this, my friend has a few ideas of family members who would have. However, she is wondering how to approach the topic with her sister. She is concerned because the abuse has taken an obvious toll on their individual lives and relationship as sisters. She wants to get passed it. |

Question: My dad feels the need to snoop through my wife and I's things? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:17 AM PST I moved out and moved into a home my wife owned two months ago. Once in a while my mail will go to my Dads house and he'll open it and read it before he gives it to me. He says it's because I'm his son regardless but I feel it is my privacy I am an adult. My dad came over to the house recently and I had to leave for about 10 minutes so he said he didn't want to ride along and he'd just wait there for me. I come back and he's reading me and my wife's insurance papers. He's calling me to make sure I'm up for work everyday, when I've told him for the last month and a half now he doesn't need to remind me, he didn't when I was there, he doesn't need to remind me now. I had to miss one day of work a month ago because I had the flu, and he said i better okay it with my boss. I had already got the ok, and he said he didn't believe me and he was going to call my boss. He ended up calling my boss about it! These are just a couple examples but it's driving me and my wife crazy, please help? |

Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:08 AM PST I'm a perfectionist and feel so much more better when the environment looks "photo ready". I'm a freshmen in highschool and live with my mother and her husband (step) and my half sister who's a toddler. Problem 1: Mother works overtime and throughout the entire day Problem 2: Her husband is a lazy *** that works at night and comes home by dawn, then sleeps throughout the day Problem 3: My baby sister has a wacky sleep schedule that follows problem 2 Problem 4: Our living room floors are being redone and it still isn't done Problem 5: Parts of the kitchen isn't done as well and looks like a pig stein TO SUM IT UP THERE ARE TOO MANY PROBLEMS and on some days I just don't want to go outside my room because it looks like I live in a storage unit full of old clothes and messy dishes. My room is the only thing clean and organized even if my mother thinks it's dirty it's not. I clean my room daily because of my mindset. |
Question: My mom just wont let up.. What do i do? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:04 AM PST Ive been sating this guy for 2 and a half years. My mom hates him. We have fought over him. She gotten to the point where she would take away my phone for weeks, take away my car, ground me because i saw him. Im 19. Recently we had gotten into this huge fight which led to me leaving. My dad and my mom are not together and havent been since i was born. He gave me 10,000 to get a car. I did, my grandma put in a little to help out. I work and now go to school all week. She refuses to give my car back till i go home and do what she wants. I make the payments on it and all she did was co sign. People have told me that I can call the non emergency cops and go get my car... My mom has hurt me in many ways. Truly with her words. Like how im a slut for staying with my boyfriend, how i have no self respect for me or the family.. But I dont feel like that. She makes it to seem like I have the worst intentions. That i dont do anything for myself. My boyfriends wants me to just get my car and get away from her. When i ask other people about their relationship with their mom its like the same thing. So should i stand my ground or just give in..? |

Question: Should I tell my mom about this? Guys, what would you do? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 09:54 AM PST I am a high school guy with a 36 year old single mom. She is the best mom ever. I just adore her. She often goes with me to school events. Each time she does that, some guys afterward tell me how lucky I am to have a beautiful, hot, and sexy mom. I always tell them my mom is NOT hot and sexy. Even some of the girls tell me the same thing. Girls also tell me I am in big trouble if I expect my dates to be as beautiful as my mom. Several guys and girls always ask me if my mom was/is a model. Should I tell my mom what they are saying about her. Would she take it as a compliment that guys my age think she is beautiful, hot and sexy? Would I get in trouble for telling her about the hot and sexy part? Mothers, and others, please tell me what you think. THANKS. |
Question: Would he be considered my step dad? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 09:53 AM PST I'm 17 f, My mom and dad got a divorce years ago. He stopped loving her she told me and he started hanging around men and what turned into friendships turned into love...um....ya My mother became a straight up alcoholic and she has hit, slapped and yelled at me so many times. After the cops came out the last time, I begged my dad if I could move in with him. However, he's engaged....to another man. Now that it's accepted and legal. He's really nice and so is my dad but it's very weird for me. I hear them getting it on almost every night. I can't even properly masterbate with that going on. I moved across town and have little friends really and the guys here are kind of lame. I gave one guy head at a party and that's it. My life is upside down, and my dad's fiancé is going to be my dad also but it just feels weird. When I go out with my new few friends or anyone I meet I have to be honest that my dad is gay. |
Question: What to do about stealing little brother? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 09:50 AM PST Hello, guys. Now this is quite a personal matter for me, but it has escalated to the point that I don' t know what to do anymore. My little brother (15) is a misfit. He's smoking pot, and since he's still a kid, he needs to get the money by stealing. He stole money mostly from my parents, because he knows that nothing would ever happen to him. We are an affluent family living in the suburbs where even the trees gossip about what's going on. If anybody found out about my little brother, my mother would probably be forced to move away because of the ensuing storm of gossip. I have been increasingly upset about it, complaining to my parens who would always say "He's young and stupid, he'll grow up". Today, I snapped. I was about to buy myself a new cellphone. Had to work hard for it as a tech support (I'm in college), and only now I could afford it. But as I try to pay for the phone, I find that most of the money I'd had in my wallet was gone. Sure enough, I've left the wallet on the kitchen counter the night before and it was too good of a prey for my brother to miss. He stole about $250 (converted from our currency). I am not going to let that one slip. I've been considering to sue him, given that in our country, he's now criminally liable - and it might teach him exactly the lesson he needs. But that would cause a "Charlie Foxtrot" in my family, so it's only the last resort for me. Isn't there any better thing to do? |

Posted: 15 Feb 2016 09:33 AM PST We got into. Now it's 7 months later and it's gotten worse. They've discovered me and her sneaking out they've found out I called her mean names such as " piece of **** " and they've only grew to hate me more. No I didn't call her these names out of nowhere I found messages between her and other guys and just snapped . Anyways, I need to know what to say over text to them to try to regain anything from them honestly. They really hate me and do not want her to see me anymore. They've taken her phone and car away so that she doesn't text or sneak out and see me. She's currently on another vacation in a different country and we can't speak till about next Sunday and that's when I plan to text the mom. I don't want to text and id much rather talk in person like a mature adult , but they literally hate my guts.I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO SAY. |
Question: Why am I treated like this? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 09:14 AM PST I'm the oldest sibling (18) and only guy in the house, I have 2 step sisters and 1 sister. And we live with my stepmom, everyday I do all the work in the house while they do nothing. I'm constantly on my feet & cleaning, I ask them for help and they tell me no. I'm a senior in high school , and my step sister who is 17 drives , but my mom won't let me nor will she allow me to get a car. I ask my step sister for a ride and she says no, because she takes her friends. So I have to ride the bus. All of my sisters are pretty much mean to me, and I've never had another guy in the house so I don't know how it's like. Whenever I bring home a bad grade from school they all humiliate me , and my step mom puts me on punishment for a long time. I really want to hang out with my friends from school constantly but I can't because I have so many tasks at home. One time I had a girl over the house & we were just sitting on the couch in the living room, my stepsister comes in and tells me to clean up a mess in the kitchen. She made the mess but she's telling me to clean it up, I cleaned it up anyway & the girl I was with told me I shoudnt of. I'm confused and continue on like this, I want to move out already before it gets worse |
Question: Can i be in the big brother big sister program for less than a yer? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 09:06 AM PST I am 18 and I am a senior in high school. I will be leaving for college in August, so I will only have 5 or 6 months with my little sister. I might be coming back on some weekends and holidays, but I'm not sure yet. Will they let me volunteer for 5 months, or is a whole year required? |
Question: Why do some parents view their children as a cute object to show off? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 08:57 AM PST All they do is dress them up and show off either in real life and online. And when you get close to the children you realize their parents are very distant from them, and they learn everything from their nannies, or sometimes grandparents. Kind of like T.V. shows, only worse. @Number NinetyNine, I said (some) parents. |
Question: Student exchange problems :/ Please help? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 08:50 AM PST Exchange students I need help :) I've only been in Germany for 4 weeks now and Im staying at my present host family for 6 months. I'm not sure what to do, I have a younger host sister (9) and she's very immature and annoying the **** out of me. I want to go home because of it, and it just isn't how I thought my exchange experience would be like. Ive been crying a lot because of it. She is just so frustrating, constantly touching me, yelling at me, being manipulative and just weird in general. She tries to control me and she talks to me like I'm 5 years old and its getting on my nerves. She just won't leave me alone and when i try to have some alone time my host mum, doesn't like it because i'm not interacting with her. Now people probably think i'm overreacting because I'm 18 and how can you not control a 9 year old. Trust its hard. You may say talk to the host mum but it ll just make things awkward. Can you give me some tips on how I can deal with my host sister. Please help me. :) Thank you |
Question: How to deal with my moms friend? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 08:41 AM PST Recently, my mother let her friend move in with us. We're in a tough situation. We're living in my dead great grandmas house (which is honestly falling apart. From mold on the ceiling in one room, to the paint chipping off in another) because my dad made his boss mad. So she fired him. I had no problem at first. But she's so nosey. For example, I'm trying to sleep in my room, while in the next, she's BLASTING music while she's on Facebook until at least 1:00 in the morning. Then I finally get to sleep. She also makes me write book reports of childrens books for her blog. And it makes me mad. Because she can totally do it BY HERSELF. She's making me hate writing. And I wanted writing to be my job! I want to tell her to just tone it down. But, I can't I'm not the one who let her in. She'll just tell my mom. And I'll get in trouble. Besides, by now, I feel like I would end up screaming at her. What can I do? Thanks. |
Question: How to convince my parents to let me miss a week of school? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 08:39 AM PST Ok so to begin with, I am a freshman in college but I still live at home with my parents. They can be pretty controlling. Anyways, so my best friend has invited me to go to Disney world with her family over spring break. However, her spring break is a different week than mine so I d have to miss some classes. I d only be missing one nutrition class and two psychology classes but I don t know how to convince my parents that it ll be okay. My plan is to talk to my professors before I talk to my parents to clear it with them first. Also I ll get all of my homework in my online classes done before talking to mom and dad. I just don t know what else I can say to convince them that I should go to Disney? |
Question: Commitment ring explanation to family? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 08:12 AM PST My bf and I want to get each other a sort of commitment ring but after my divorce and our personal feelings on marriage we have no intention to get married. My very religious family is going to be asking when's the wedding, I don't know how to explain our true intentions in a short way...it's a long explanation and I don't know how to explain it quickly. We aren't planning on getting married this is the final stage for our relationship, us giving eachother this symbol of our love and promise, is our own personal version of being married. Does that sound like something people would understand? Lol |

He calls them pieces of sh*t, says he "cant stand them," biggest sc*mbags in the universe. Calls his mom a C**T and B*tch Only sees them 5x a year on holidays. Ignores all his moms text messages |
Question: What do you think? Did he like it? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 07:47 AM PST I gave out valentines to all my teachers at school including my guy teacher, Coach Trey, I gave him a mini box of heart chocolates just to be nice. At first I thought he wouldn't like it because he's a high school coach and is all into sports, but he's been an awesome coach to me, he always grewts me when I go to class and hold the door open for me. so I thought I'd give it. He looked up to me and had a huge smile on his face, he looked shock and speechless. He said "thank you so much Abby! How sweet of you!" Do you think he liked it? (I'm asking because I was afraid he didn't like it or thought it was weird) |
Question: Should I contact father s family? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 07:47 AM PST I was raised by a single mother and never having any relationship with my father or his family. Knowing that he wanted nothing to do with me, I never had any desire to contact him or know anything about him. I am now 30 and after having my first physical, I realized that I have no knowledge of half my family s health history. So now that I have my own family and my bitterness subsided s little bit; I felt like it was time to be an adult and at the very least get some family medical information. I called my mom, got his full name and last known address. Also, during the conversation, she told me that when they were together, he was engaged to someone else. After hanging up the phone, i proceeded to look him up. I found his obituary at the top of the page. I learned more about him then I had ever known before including that he had 2 other children. One kid was older than me and one younger, giving me the impression that he may have been married. Any advice? Please keep in mind that I still have no health information. |

Question: My sister is making my mom spend a lot of our money? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 07:36 AM PST My family doesn't have a lot of money to spend on things we don't need, my grandma lives with us which causes so much more stress on my mom. She works so hard because she has two kids at home that can't drive, an elder. and a husband that works all day. I hate seeing her under so much stress. My sister "faints" but really just halfway falls over. I know it's because she doesn't eat or drink until 2pm because she sleeps all day! (she's 17 and online schooled) and she made mom take her to a heart doctor because she's convinced it's her heart. This stuff costs HUNDREDS of dollars, not to mention the two hour long drive all together. I'm just so TIRED of seeing my 53 year old mom (I'm not even 14) work her butt off because people don't consider her feelings. How can I make money for my mom as a minor? and how can I help her? I clean her desk and try to learn how to cook and I'm the main caregiver for my grandma while my parents are at work, but it's hard to make money for them. Have any advice? |
Question: Did my mother mean what she said, read below? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 06:59 AM PST My mother was angry at me last Friday about something I said really rude when mad at her. She had just had a screaming fight with my sister who has explosive blow ups. I heard her say to my Dad "we should never have had kids" and I feel awful she thinks that of me. Should I confront her about it? My mother had two kids with her first husband (divorced) and my father has one son from his first marriage (wife died). I am thinking she wishes they had just kept the family that way. What do I do? Should I talk to her about it? I am 14 years old. |
Posted: 15 Feb 2016 06:57 AM PST My brother and I both live 600-1000 miles away (in different directions) from our parents. My mother constantly complains that he ignores her. He has a wife and kids and my mother complains that they ignore her, too. He will be living 90 minutes away from my parents for about a month, which he does for business every year. My mother's birthday is coming up, so I asked him: "Do you want to plan something together for Mother's birthday? I will be there on the weekend of her birthday but if that doesn't suit, I can come down another time, too." His response? "I don't expect to be there. I fly home on Fridays and return on Sundays. If something changes I'll let you know, but I don't expect to be there." What kind of response is that?! I can see saying, "I'm not available on weekends but let's see what we can plan during the week." Or "I can fly home one Saturday morning or Friday evening from the airport near Mother's house maybe- can you work that into your plans"? But he didn't even offer those options. |
Question: Can I see a psychiatrist about a family member? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 06:56 AM PST My sister has something or things very wrong with her. My feelings have ranged from anger and resentment to currently concerned. She has what I consider serious bipolar episodes but only at home. In public she is a different person. I live with my parents right now and my kids but I'm moving out at the end of the school year. I like to keep my kids away from her as much as possible. What should I do? She's an attorney and constantly threatening to take my kids away from me for trivial things like my husband taking a sick day when he's sick (saying we are lazy f**ks and liars). |
Question: Why would my sister ignore me for no apparent reason? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 06:25 AM PST |
