Posted: 16 Feb 2016 01:29 PM PST I would have no idea how to respond and wonder if I should prepare for it in the small event it happens. I have a friend whose 22 year old sister died in November and he had no idea how to help the parents and has been expected to not do anything but be with them and care for them 24-7 and was in trouble for celebrating Christmas. So I wonder how would I handle this? |
Posted: 16 Feb 2016 01:25 PM PST I want to be close to family but some people resent that I spend about the same amount of time with my father as my mother. For example when I left early on Christmas to go to my father's people were rolling their eyes and my mother and her sister gave me grief with my sister rolling her eyes. My sister has a different father and she only sees him once a year and thinks I should be the same. |
Question: My sister in law is so lazy? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 01:22 PM PST My brother works in a construction company where sometimes they have to work at night. I (19) work in construction also but it's only daytime and it's only about 8-9 hours. This week, my brother (26) had to work two nights out of the week. I asked him if there was anything I could do. He said no but I did it anyway. I went to check up on his wife. (My wife's cousin) and she was outside talking to the neighbor lady and my niece and nephew were running like crazy in the yard. Later on, I called her and she didn't answer but I went to peek through her window and she was on her *** watching tv. I knocked and I heard her click the locks. She also blocked me off her phone. That day, her house was messy with toys all around and lights turned on everywhere. She didn't even bother to get her *** up and clean. I told her that my brother was going to get tired of her laziness but she ignores me like I don't exist. Also I go check up on her and she keeps her curtains down so I won't look inside. How can I get my brother to leave her? |
Question: When a sister calls you an idiot seriously? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 01:10 PM PST Idk,it really hurts whenever I am called an idiot, stupid etc in a serious tone. Just for having different perspectives on life and not having everything sorted out. Found out that her boyfriend also thinks that. Anyways...had to say it "outloud" somewhere to ease my pain a bit. Well,I tried to give her a hint by saying that I cant believe she would say that. |
Question: Always wanting to move somewhere else? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 01:08 PM PST I'm 15 & my family has never owned a home. We always rented & my step dad was in the Marines for 8 years plus his dad was in the Navy. We look at places as just somewhere to stay. I recently moved to Oklahoma & after a year, I hate it. My dad & family live up Northeast, around Pennsylvania. The only good thing here is my school. I'm a freshman. Is it even normal to not want to stay places for long? Is it actually hurting me? |
Question: How do I tell my dad he's holding me back when he doesn't want me to chase my dream? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 01:06 PM PST by me. But my dad doesn't really support it. He says he does, but whenever I actually bring it up he always tries to talk me out of it or gives me some fake a** "compromise" as if what I want to do is just a phase and I just need to get it out of my system or something. I've had the talk with him before but he's really manipulative and somehow got his way, like always. I'm not happy. I even told him that but, well, nothing. Please help |
Posted: 16 Feb 2016 01:06 PM PST Okay so I'm 16 and I get treated so mean at home , like I am giving a mountain of jobs to do everyday while my younger sister 15 sits around and does nothing and never gets in trouble and my older sister who is 18 is college is getting treated like my parents best friend and giving aload of money for drinking and going out , I'm not allowed to leave the house nearly and my sisters can do what they want , if one job isn't done through the day I get in so much trouble , if I have all the jobs done I am giving more when they come home or get in trouble for not doing more , I know I sound spoilt but I'm summing this up nicer than it is , what can I do ?? If I try and confront them they blame it on me while my dad usually ignores me anyways and always takes my other two sisters out for days out |
Question: What to do when your sister is 28 but acting 14?(I'm 17)? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 12:26 PM PST .So earlier I was sitting in the living room, we have a 3 sitter couch and a 1 rocking chair kind of couch ish. So I was sitting on that chair while I was on my laptop, finishing up a report (Which I did finish) and I wasn't using the tv at all. My sister has a day off from work, she comes in and turns on the xbox and asks for me to move so she can use that chair. Hence again we have dinning chairs, we have another couch, but she claims that this chair is better to sit on while she plays games. I decline politely and tell her that I was sitting here for first, therefore I feel the need that I should move when I'm ready. She goes behind the chair, and pushes it forward causing me to fall out the chair, and she goes ahead and take over. I let it slide, go to the other couch and about an hour later, she goes out and picks up our half sister and takes her work. Considering she turned off the xbox, I moved back, and she comes back later and asks for me to move AGAIN. I refused and she made our brother come and he forces me out the chair also. So now I'm in the room that we share with little internet connection because she wants to play her game. :/ Don't get me started about our room, I cleaned it MANY of times and she messes up EVERY time. My mom and dad lets it slide because "she works shes exhausted", last time I check her job consists of looking after pets and ringing up items. But clearly my parents are sick of her acting like she can get away with these things too. |
Question: WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 12:25 PM PST One of my family members had a baby not too long ago and she was really sick after delivery. I stayed at the hospital with her to help her until she got released. Later on I find out she chose her sister (who barely went to the hospital to help)as the Godmother of the baby. Not that I wanted to be the God mom, but just the fact that I was the one there for her made me think that at least she was going to consider me to be the one. It is not the first time she has made me feel little. Right before her wedding she said she was going to choose "such person" just because they have always being there for her. What I do, or used to do for her I do it from my heart, but it seems to me that she can never give me credit for the positive things I do for her. I used to get upset, but now I am just staying away from her (although I wish I could see her baby everyday) because I don't like the way she does me. I don't like the way she talks to others and I don't have respect for her anymore. |
Question: When someone can't let go after 10 years? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 12:17 PM PST My sister-in-law came to my house one time and the kids didn't answer the door because they were instructed not to open for anyone. She claims this has devastated her and that we hate her. She has no kids, so she can't relate to the concept of protecting them. When spoken to, she recalls the event like a broken record. She cannot get over it. I've apologized and she doesn't accept. What do I do? |
Question: Help don't know what to do anymore? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 11:47 AM PST So I am a 28 year old woman, yes still living at home with mom (long story). My siblings and I have always had issues with feeling like adults with my mother. We were born and raised in the church so there are certain "rules" that were instilled in us. For example the whole sex before marriage thing. Its something I still believe in and plan to lose my virginity to my husband, when that day comes. In the mean time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend who I have been with for about 4 years. Here s my issue anytime I think of planning a getaway with my boyfriend I always feel like I have to lie to my mother because she would not agree and would be so upset and not talk to me for a few days. How can I help my mom see me as an adult, respectfully, while living my life the way I want to, at the same time? |
Question: How do i get my mom to forgive me? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 11:32 AM PST i lied to my mom about my grades,,,,they are like really really bad and i might not be able to pass this year. in a couple of days we get our report cards for this period. so i already told her my grades. now she is really upset and dissapointed in me what can i do ? |
Question: Crazy into this girl, but her parents are keeping us away. What is the best solution? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 11:30 AM PST I am a sophomore in high school, and I became quick friends with a senior girl. Our older siblings were best friends, so we connected rather quickly. We both managed the same basketball team, so we spent a lot of time together. I've never bonded with somebody this quickly. It sounds silly, but I have no doubt that she is the girl of my dreams. She makes me feel so great about myself, and doesn't judge me. I have always done my best to treat her exactly how she deserves to be treated. Her parents, on the other hand, don't see my for my personality, they only see my age. They always thought I was a good kid (they've known me for years because of our siblings). In fact, it was her mother that asked me to be a manager with her daughter. We began dating in secret starting in December. On Valentine's Day her mother went through our text messages, found out everything, and forced her to break up with me. They said she is no longer allowed to talk to me (her mother works at our school, so we can't talk there either). She was planning to live at home for her first four years of college because her house is only 10 minutes away from the college she will be attending this fall. They told her that even though she will be 18, she'll still be living under their roof, and if she dates me again they won't hesitate to kick her out. My family is super supportive of our relationship, and offered for her to live with us. Should I try to talk to her parents? What's the best solution? Just to give a little more background, we are both straight A students. There is absolutely no question about whether we aren't going to do so well in school if we are dating. We both know that education is vital for us. |
Question: Is it weird that I want to be just like my dad? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 11:25 AM PST I'm a 16-year-old girl, and I want to grow up to be just like my dad. I don't mean that I want to be a man, but I think that my dad is really great and I love him. He's a kind and generous person who is really funny. Are there any ways that I can tell him this without it coming across as weird? |
Question: Senior in High School, moving out advice? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 11:23 AM PST I m a senior who s completely lost in life and I want to leave home and go to a college in a different city. I don t have any support at home... but let me explain how my family is. I have 5 brothers and only one has moved out. One of my brothers is 28 and still lives at home with his girlfriend and kid, but I know he wouldn t discourage me from anything. My other brother is a arrogant high school drop out who tries to control and judge everything about me, and says I m going to end up doing nothing because I m stupid and lazy I guess? My other brother has a bachelors in the criminal justice field but he s stuck with a dead end security job that doesn t pay him enough. My mother is always working but I don t think she ll be too fond of me trying to move out. My dad has the same mentality somewhat as my high school dropout with street smarts brother and basically has no faith in me. I ll be 18 in March but yeah it s sad to ask for other people s opinions on the internet because I ll be perceived to be an idiot who s going to ruin my life if I leave home if I ask my family. My girlfriend is moving out and she told me to just go with her because she has enough money saved up for me to stay long enough for me to get a part time job and help out with the bills and what not. I just need other people s opinions. Thank you so much for your time. |

Question: Sister got caught sending nudes? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 10:51 AM PST Please do not judge my family, thinking my parents don't care and don't take care of their children because they're so kind and caring and loving. Recently my younger sister in eighth grade has been caught with guys, and my culture we don't do dating and all. So that was a huge thing for my parents and they took action right away. But last night my other sister heard a girl talking about my eighth grade sisters nudes, but my sister didn't believe it until the girl sent her the nude. So my sister told my mom and my mom saw the nude, my dad knows but didn't see the picture nor does he want to. My sister has been yelling at me called me a ***** and my parents are destroyed and don't even know what to do because we know what she did is illegal. my sisters immaturity and bad behavior is taking a toll on me, and I guess this isn't a question but I'm just looking for advice. |

Question: My dad is smoking pot again? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 09:21 AM PST My dad smoked pot since he was in high school. That doesn t worry me if that s all he was doing. A few years ago he became addicted to heroin and he went to rehab. I don t want him to go through that again. My brother died 3 months ago and I think my dad is smoking to relieve stress but I m afraid he will get back into the really bad drugs and maybe over dose. I can t lose both my brother and my dad. My parents are divorced so I can t have my mom talk to him, they don t get along very well. My grandma (his mother) is in Florida rn so she can t help. I was thinking I d talk to one of my aunts (his sisters) but I m afraid he will know that I ratted him out BC I m the only one who is at the house with him. |
Question: Is it possible not to love you own adult child? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 09:20 AM PST Is it possible not to love you own adult child? She has given me so much trouble it seems like the minute they handed her to me in the delivery room I wasn't a happy camper, fast forward 29 years and 2 grandchildren later I cant stand her! She has a drinking problem sleeps around doesn't take care of her children I love them like if they are my own I have 2 other children and even though we have our ups and downs life goes own and let bygones be bygones but not with her. It's all about her and who will get her drunk and bottom line to put it nicely "sleep with her". To make things worse she lives in my house I ask her to leave she laughs and tells me I need to evict her! I question myself do I really hate her can it be possible or do I hate what she is?? or what she does?? She has yelled at me more than once that I'm not he biological mother and if she'd had a DNA test that proves I am her mother she would apologize for everything she has done towards me. I can't stand her she is everything you don't want in a daughter a complete disappointment! |
Question: What do I do if my dad makes dumb punishments? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 09:11 AM PST Here's my dad's logic: - I get into a fight in school - He yells at me for 3 hours straight - Then, he grounds me for a year-and-a-half Now that I've gotten that clear, I'm home-schooled, now. He still does crap like this. Lately, he's not let me use my phone during work hours, even though I need to call my tutor on Skype. He takes my phone downstairs and looks at my browsing history, photos, and purchases while I work. I need to call my tutor at 3:30, and I'd hate to tell her that "my dad stole my phone." I can't go get my phone, either. I'm not allowed to go downstairs, which is the basement. I'm sure he grows pot or something. I smell it on his breath. I'm at my mom's house for weekends, but she has breast cancer and is in pain. Meanwhile, my dad restricts communication. My family has history of mental illness on both sides, and I find it hard to deal with the narcissism, lies, violence, and greed in my family. I'm moving to the other side of the country with my dad and stepmom when I graduate, so I can't move out, because my college is down there. I'm 17, and my dad treats me like I'm 12, except worse. Here's my question - how do I get independence and convince my dad to back off with the punishments? EDIT - My mother is just as crazy, if not worse, than my dad. As for his weed farm, he has a license for his medical condition. I'm not sure if growing it on the license is legal, though. I think waiting it out is best. He's usually a nice guy, except when he's angry; then he is angry for weeks and weeks, until he's bored of it. It could be worse - he could beat me. I'm glad he doesn't, but he's just part of my mentally ill psychopathic family, which is similar to my mom's side of the family. |
Posted: 16 Feb 2016 09:04 AM PST I lost my sister in 2011 and don't plan on losing another family member. Especially not my niece. She would not wake up, her lips were turning blue and she was breathing but, wheezing. My parents and brother took her to the hospital. I'm so scared. I just need anyone who might know what she has maybe it was a asthma attack but, we just don't know. I don't know. I just need help and a lot of prayers no matter your religion. She's only three. |
Question: Boyfriends place smells, and wants me to move in? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 08:44 AM PST My boyfriends lives with his sister, and brother in-law. They all said I could move in, but I don't want too. Their place smells. They have about 4 dogs, and 4 cats. I'm by far no neat freak, but their house is always messy. I don't mean clutter, and stuff not put away. But their are times there will be empty take out box's on the floor. A pile a garage in a pile left on the floor. Big garage bag sitting there. I don't even know what to say. Or how to say anything |
Posted: 16 Feb 2016 08:36 AM PST From where she comes from, a man gets married to 4 women at the same time. My aunt isn't considered pretty, and maybe the reason why she married a man from America (despite that her parents would kill her for marrying a foreign man), is becuz Americans only marry one wife (even if she isnt pretty). In Saudi, if she isnt pretty, the man married another prettier wife. In Saudi, the way the man gets married is thru his sisters. The sisters check out women and inform him if she is a good candidate or not, and then the bro agrees to check her out. My aunt from Saudi tries her best to make my uncle stay away from all his sisters and she always slanders them and causes problems between them. One time my mom sent Facebook friend request to my uncle and she deleted it. She is insecure, and everyone knows that my uncle isnt happy with her. |
Question: What's wrong with me? Hate myself and feel like im worthless.. who would want me? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 08:26 AM PST Is something wrong with me if I think about my past relationship with my ex-gf that I broke up with and miss it and get upset/regret it ? Even tho it wasn't a healthy relationship, and she didn't fully treat me right or put in full effort towards the relationship? I sometimes wish I could go back to her, but my friend's gf said she's over me and never asks for me or anything |
Question: Should my mom force me to take my nose piercing out? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 07:43 AM PST I'm sixteen, and I got my nose pierced about a month ago. My mom literally didn't even notice it until last night. She randomly saw it and went berserk. She wants me to take it out, but if I do that, the hole will close up...she said that that's the point. I don't get why me taking the piercing out is such a big deal for her. The way I see it, if the piercing was discrete enough for her not to even notice it for a month, she should have an easy enough time ignoring it and forgetting it's even there. Should she be forcing me to take the piercing out? |
Question: Talking to my mom about donating sperm? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 07:42 AM PST I'm very close to my mother and like to talk to her about anything. But recently I made the choice to donate my sperm for helping couples. My mom found some papers i kept I had to sign. I freaked out and told her it was just for a semen check. But I feel I should tell her the truth, but not sure if i really should..what's your take on this matter?and if your son donated how would you react? Thank you all! |
Question: How to talk to my girlfriend's younger brother about this properly? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 07:36 AM PST My girlfriend's younger is 13 years old. handsome young man but runs with trouble makers but a good kid, overall. We seemed to have got along, but the other day, according to my GF, (she lives in an apartment not far from her home) her brother stopped by her apartment unexpectedly and heard us having sex. We didn't know she was there but she heard it from him. He's been a bit colder to me but still bullshits. But the big problem he makes an effort to surprise and "ball tap" me or somewhat hit me in the balls. What would be the best way to sit down and talk to him about this? (me and his sister and why he hits me in the balls, etc) Thank you! |
Question: Parents wont let me watch nudity in movies? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 07:27 AM PST So im a 15 year old guy almost 16. My parents never let me watch any movies with even one glimpse of nudity. Question: I kinda hate my mom? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 07:18 AM PST okay I don't like hate her, I hate how she treats me. I'm 18 and i still don't have license, we live in an area that doesn't have taxi or public buses, very far from the city. my mom drive and she has a car and everything. she's a housewife. I needed to do many things in my life, she doesn't care. my teeth are a mess and I told her I want braces and that I'm gonna pay everything but I just need someone to drive me to the hospital. she told I don't need braces and and just be happy with my teeth, but my teeth are so bad and my jaw is so narrow and i feel uncomfortable with my mouth. whenever i tell her about driving me a place she will yell at me and won't drive me. I end up not going. my skin was really horrible i told her i need treatment she didn't do anything, I ended up telling my friend to drive me and help me look for a treatment, and did that all alone. now my friend moved from our country. she's older than me. yesterday I found a driver, and called him to drive me today to an ortho so i can fix my teeth. i noticed that the driver is so weird and he stares at me and drives very slowly and I think its not safe to go with him next time. I don't have a dad, I only live with my mom and little sister. my older brother lives outside the country and he sends us money every month. sometimes I miss the school bus and i tell me mom to drive me to school she won't care, and i end up being absent. she even laugh at me if I cry. i feel unhappy living in that house. Guys u don't understand, what i'm trying to say is that i hate depending on someone to do my things. getting license is not that easy here, i need someone to drive me to a driving school, and its far from my area. I'm studying so hard to go to collage. but still 1 year left. i'm in my 2nd grade in high school. she's not stopping me, she knows i need a car, but she doesn't care. the area we're living is (countryside) small houses, farms. (hope u understand what I'm talking about) u need a car to go to the city. we have trucks but not public transportations. |

Question: Are my parents doing poorly...? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 07:00 AM PST I'm an only child and my parents are around 40-60 years old. I'vebeen diagnosed with ADHD and have been known to have OCD-ish tendencies. I'm also 15 turning 16 in May. In a sense they are extreamly overprotective of me. They won't let me buy something with my own money (unless they approve that i can buy it myself). They do not let me walk anywhere unless they know the exact place. I can't just take a "walk". They constantly moniter over all my school work. I mean, I understand most parents do this. Its normal! But wjen your parents decide to fill out your vocatinal school aplication without you even looking at the form? Or in anyway writing the small essay on WHY you want to go there yourself? I don't really know... My parents are rather old fashioned... and many times when I misbehave in school, then come home, they start to scream at me. Even if im trying to do homework or trying to eat dinner. Oh and i couldn't even talk to them when they are yelling at me, they would just tell me to shut up. If i curse at them during this? Things get... a bit physical... Many people tell me that they shouldn't do this. that they shouldn't be doing this... |

Question: I'm looking for opinions on what should be done.? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 05:36 AM PST Here is the situation, my brother-in-law baby mama left the country without telling him that she was going to get married. He doesn't care about, what matters is that she left her daughter (diff baby daddy) and his son which is special needs with her cousin. Now her cousin doesn't know how to deal with his son nor really has the patience to care for him. Her cousin than called my brother-in-law and that's how he found out what she was up to. Now her cousin doesn't know how to deal with his son nor really has the patience to care for him. Her cousin than called my brother-in-law and that's how he found out what she was up to. Again he doesn't care of the fact that she got up and left to get married. He is upset that she left his son with someone that can't really care for him. That same day he went to pick him up. Can anything be done legally? |

Question: Did we do the right thing with my druggy sister? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 04:27 AM PST My sister is 28 and she has been showing signs of drug behavior for the past six months at least. Just within the past month, she has asked me and my dad to pick her up at a hotel, she came and stayed with us for four days, was extremely hostile, messy and irresponsible, she wasn't acting right at all, she also looked terrible and extremely skinny which isn't like her. She left in the middle of the night four days ago, with who we thought was her ex bf but turned out to be a random person. She called my mom at 1 am last night crying saying she needed her to pay for a hotel that night. My mom who lives in another state, said ok, and she called me at 2 am and said you and your dad need to go pick her up in the morning. My dad said no (because this would have been the third time in the past 3 weeks that we've had to do this). She somehow ended up in a town 2 hours north of us, which is why my dad said no to picking her up, because hes old and not well. My mom was pissed at us for not going to pick her up, and she would not return my calls all day. I told her to tell my sister to finally go to her mother in law's house which has been offered to her because that's where her young daughter lives, all expenses paid. She refused for many weeks. I told my mom to tell her to go, because my dad was refusing to pick her up - otherwise she'd have nowhere to go. We haven't heard anything from my mom or her since yesterday morning when this happened. Did we do the right thing? |
Question: Feeling extrememely sad because of leaving logn distance relatives? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 04:26 AM PST I live in TX and they live in Louisiana, we rarely see them and this weekend we drove over and had the best time. I play my little cousins the most since they are adorable but once I leave (this happens every time I or they leave) I get into an EXTREME Depression where I cry every day, and every little thing that I see reminds me of the trip and makes me break down. Thing is, I'm not that close with them I just like playing with my little cousins since I rarely see them but being away from them makes it unbearable, gets to the point where I want to quit school and cry all day. And whenever I'm with my friends I start thinking about them and I have to hold in my tears. What is wrong with me?? Btw, this only lasts a couple days but I'm right on day 1 and it is unbearable |

Question: I got a huge problem that I need help with.? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 03:23 AM PST So my grandpa is cheating on my grandma, abusing her mentally and physically and I just can't stand just listening to her sad stories how she was so stupid to not realise that he was a cheating asshole when they got married. Nowadays he brings this old woman to their apartment while grandma is at work and they do their thing and she goes away. My grandma is also taking care of my mentally ill uncle and my grandpa even hits him and shoos him out of the bedroom so they could do the thing. Grandma also told me so many stories in which she got abused (hit constantly in the head and stomach, slapped across the face, got her hand smashed into the door frame) It just hurts me to see her in this situation and I feel like I can't help her in any way. Before he actually brought women home, he was watching porn constantly on the laptop that was supposed to be for us to play games on and afterwards he went to her apartment and now they moved. Grandpa does dirty to my grandma while they are together in the apartment such as throwing dirty dishes, steals her money, eating her food and not paying a penny for anything. I need an advice please! |

Posted: 16 Feb 2016 12:41 AM PST thug. But got alot of help from my mom who was a teenmom. His parents were piss poor. And his dad abuse their kids (his brothers and sisters) which transitioned him into a foster home. He is unrealistic to what he says about me at times. Such as concentrate 80 percent on college. I support college and want to graduate. But I feel like I can't talk to him probably because he can barely help himself. Our family is jacked up and ****** up. Our family is a low education family. PS MOM AND DAD BROKE UP 2 TIMES BUT ARE BACK TOGETHER NOW IN THE LAST 4 YEARS. Both parents are barely making it. Dad always borrows money and can barely payback. I feel sorry when I tell him no I can't loan you. He cooks, washed dishes, does not smoke or do drugs but just has a serious really bad financial management. And know he does not want to take financial management classes. Hes does not want to get help period. My mom gave up on arguing with him at times. Because he is a jerk. Suggestions? Your thoughts? He is not a bad guy, just won't care to get help. How do I continue to live with him if I have a minor disability so can't just move out. |
Question: Why don't I love my family?!? Posted: 16 Feb 2016 12:15 AM PST I was just curious, my dad and mom I cut out of my life. For reasons during my childhood. But I don't love my dad, mom, sister, or brother. I don't really hate them most of the time. But I don't care if they die. I help others sometimes, but i do it for selfish reasons. I don't understand because I see love all around me and I don't love anyone... |
Question: How do I tell my dad he's holding me back when he doesn't want me to chase my dream? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 11:18 PM PST I know exactly what I'm meant to do, but it's a risk, and that's fine by me. But my dad doesn't really support it. He says he does, but whenever I actually bring it up he always tries to talk me out of it or gives me some fake *** "compromise" as if what I want to do is just a phase and I just need to get it out of my system or something. I've had the talk with him before but he's really manipulative and somehow got his way, like always. I'm not happy. I even told him that but, well, nothing. Please help I am 20 years old by the way in case that matters. |
Posted: 15 Feb 2016 11:16 PM PST Is this natural occurrence, or did I get luck ... My mom is 5'6 my dad is 5'6 my grandpa is 5'9 my grandma is 5'0 . |
Question: How do I tell my parent I'm leaving for Spring Break? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 11:00 PM PST This is my first time I am living with my father since I was an infant. I am 19, and will be 20 soon. I do not have a job, however, I do have a job offer. I go to a community college as a full time student. My financial aid covers everything for school. My dad told me that if I wanted to leave that I could, but I have to pay for it. I did pay for the ticket already. I just do not know how to approach the situation. I don't just want to "disappear" on him either. I would rather have him know that I am leaving than to not know. However, I'm not going to see my mom (she lives in another state). I'm going to go see a friend of mine (who my dad doesn't like for no reason). I feel like I am stuck in a rut, if you will. Over my "christmas break" I asked him if I could go out of town & he wasn't going to have to pa for anything & he still didn't "let me" go. So, I was in the house for an entire month, occasionally by myself for a day or so. I have no friends here (except 1, but she works and I don't know her well enough to say that Im going out of town with her). I don't want to lie about it, but I don't want him down my throat about it either. He's kind of controlling, which is why my mom isn't with him now. Any suggestions on how to approach the topic would be great. |
Question: How will I get my mom to let me watch Deadpool? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:57 PM PST Please don't give me that "Listen to your mother bullcrap" I'm really mad right now because my best friend's mom is taking all of my friends and she will be more than happy to bring me along. My mom is overprotective and I'm 14. She almost let me slide but then 30 min later guess what? A news report about Deadpool came up on TV. It was going on about how it isn't for kids and stuff and they interviewed this lady and she said "It isn't for kids under 10 but I believe that any teenager could go and see it." And I looked at my mom and she couldn't accept it. Now she is pissed and idk if she will let me go. The group is going on Friday so I have 4 days left to convince her or I could totally betray her and ask my dad since that's his weekend... |
Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:49 PM PST Hi, My name is rose and I am 16 years old. I have been with my boyfriend for two years and we haven't had sex yet. We both want to, but the only thing holding us back is me. I want to be alone but at both of our houses, we are never alone. Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:42 PM PST Alright, the thing is like this. Now I am living in an apartment, more than a half year ago, I, did some things wrong, which was getting my neighbor's attention. There is a guy living right next to me, very close, I am sure that he can hear where my sound from his apartment. But this is exactly what I had not noticed. The noise that I was making that time got his attention, and he noticed that I was living here. And maybe the noise I made pissed him off at that time, then he has been slamming(heavily) the door of the elevator ever since, my apartment is right next to the elevator, the sound he maks is very loud, my windows are shaking everytime he go slamming that door. I don't know if he is trying to revenge me or what, but the noise he makes does bothers me, and I have stopped making any noise half year ago. But thing is, he knew that I live here, and every time after he slamed the door, he will walk to the wall and listen to see if I got effected or not. And when I walk to other position in my apartment, I always hear sound of the step following on the othe side. If he listen nothing, he become very mad, upset, and go slam that door again, and come back, and right on the wall to see if he can listen anything. Well. I know that that is because I got his attention first, but now it really bothers me. what can I do? If I have to confront it, how should I start? The nieghtbor is not working, basically stays home everyday, and he never tired of doing this thing, whenever I come home, I can always hear he walks approach to the wall. He is definitely not crazy, I think he is just bored. What should I do? I don't want his attention, I just want to be off. I guess the best way is to leave. yes, I do want to do so, but I am still depending on my parents. |
Question: Is my mother in an abusive/bad marriage? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:28 PM PST Well today I walked in on my step dad (who is a raging alcoholic) trying to pretty much tackle her to the ground and then who knows what. I about beat the **** out of him excuse my language, but I'm glad l used my head and stayed out of it. That was today though. I've heard my mom in her bedroom say don't hit me to him quite a few times. Back in 2012 my stepdad started a fight with my disabled father. He was completely wasted . I also had my 7 year old sister with lung cancer screaming at the top of her lungs. This fight was over my mom. In 2014 my sister passed of the cancer and of the night of her death my stepfather kept offering to have sex (my mother told me this) and probably forced her to eventually. Another thing is that this "man" I have to call my step dad doesn't even pitch in on a lot of the bills for the house, he does very little , not much. The worse thing is that he doesn't even attempt to stop what he is doing . He talks behind every ones back and everyone think he is the nicest guy. So now, do u believe my mother should leave this man and try to find another partner? I sure as heck do! |

Question: My girlfriend's younger brother? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 09:36 PM PST My girlfriend's younger is 13 years old. handsome young man but runs with trouble makers but a good kid, overall. |
