Posted: 15 Feb 2016 08:01 PM PST Wedding day set, paid for, bridesmaids dresses paid for. Just found out that my father in law has multiple brain tumors and most likely won't be able to fly. We live on the west coast and he lives in Texas. Most likely going to have to fly out there and have a small ceremony so he can see it and be a part of it. We will still have to have the wedding at home since everything is paid for. Any ideas for making a two ceremony wedding work, when they are months apart? None of my wedding party will be able to make it to Texas, neither will my father, who is helping pay for the wedding. Not sure if we go to Texas and do a ceremony but not sign the papers, or should we do it all there then, do it all over again for with our wedding party back home? So confused. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you! |
Question: Was it bad that I cried at my buddies wedding? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 06:12 PM PST Okay... So from what I remember I cried at my buddies wedding. I was very toasted. Memories are in blur... But I remember my buddy giving a speech about his new wife and I started crying. And then I hugged my buddy and was crying. I have known him over 20+ years and I think it was a special moment in his life and after drinking to much and smoking the tears came. I think I may have made a fool of myself but Oh well. Was it bad that I cried? I just started remembering all the times we have had together and that now he has special someone it made me very happy for him. |

Question: Overbearing Family Won't Leave Us Alone!!? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 10:30 AM PST My fiance and I are planning our wedding and in the midst of it all we found out we were expecting. I'm 23 and he's 27 and we own our own house and have a great best friend relationship. His mother calls every week telling us we need to change the date because i'll be 7 months pregnant even though the date holds special meaning and we're fine with keeping it, me being pregnant is embarrassing, cuts down every little plan we have for our wedding and is trying to force her way with everything. Even down to her controlling where the baby gets baptised and who needs to stand in our wedding party! Fiance's older brother is an alcoholic who makes stuff up about us behind our back to his mother so she rags on us about that too. I'm so stressed with all the drama I can't enjoy planning the wedding or the pregnancy because of it all and the stress isn't good for the baby. We've told her she needs to back off and she threatened to cancel her plans for the catering.. What should I do I'm about ready to explode!! :( |

Question: What are some alternatives to serving alcohol at a wedding? Posted: 15 Feb 2016 01:07 AM PST For financial, personal, and religious reasons, we've decided not to serve any type of alcoholic beverages at our wedding. Do you think that sparkling cider, sparkling apple juices, ginger ale, bottled water, soda, iced tea are good alternatives to serving alcohol at our wedding? What are you some alternatives that you can think of? @ Anonymous, I did say that part of our reasons IS financial. But one of the main reasons is my future father-in-law has recently started his recovery. That is our PERSONAL reason. And the religious one is that we are MORMON, and we don't drink alcohol. Are you always this much of a jerk? |
