My older sister caught her husband having an affair with me while living with them. She kicked me out that day. And she begged him to take her back. He then told her nothing was ever going to happen. a couple days later he starts calling and texting me again (sexual) saying he misses me and wishes we wouldn't have got caught. on Christmas he wishes i was with him instead of her, told me they were co parenting and they had no physical or emotional connection anymore.. Valentines day he asked me for pictures and videos. He told her that he still talked to me. she got pissed. He is STILL talking to me sexually wishing i was kneeling over him in bed while she was sleeping next to him. Not to mention they have two kids ages 1 and 5.

My step-dad hates me and my brother and my mom loves him more than us. I'm 16 and my brother is 12. He has three children from his previous marriage (22, 18 and 15), and I do get along with them, but it all seems unnatural and more like formal. We all live together, except for his oldest. My brother and I are sleeping in the same bedroom, even though I'm a girl, while his two daughters have their own rooms. And it's equally his and my mom's home, they bought it together. My mom married him 7 years ago and they have a 5 years old. My mother doesn't care. Basically all the money that she earns, she gives to him. Like, every paycheck. Even though he has a job, but he says it's his right wtf. My brother and I don't get much pocket money. We buy necessities rarely. My step-dad says I need to earn it, but in my country you can't work if you're under 18. Why don't his children need to earn? They get everything - clothes, new phones, laptops, etc, and he's saving for their uni, while nobody mentions mine even though I, ironically, have the best grades. He doesn't beat me or anything, but I think this is some sort of abuse. I get 3 dollars for friday night out, while his children get 30 each. I can't listen to music loudly, his kids can. I can't go to uni, his kids can. When I need money for school trips, he can't give me because he's saving for his children, but they can go. And my mom cares not. When I told her about it, she started cursing me and calling me drama queen. Also, I don't remember the last time I had a real birthday. I usually just go to my best friend's house and throw a "party" there, and invite like 3 people and we drink sodas, eat snacks and watch movies, while his children throw big parties. My step-dad also says that my brother will work in his friend's factory after school, but his kids will go to uni. He actually brags about having connections and providing a job to my brother! In a factory! He told me he'd employ me too, but I refused.

I am 14 years old. I have been physically and emotionally abused by my dad ever since I was born, and thought it was normal until I was 12. whenever the CPS comes to investigate, he tells them about my psychosis and says I'm just having illusions and reality disassociations, and I do have psychosis, but I know what he's doing is real. my mom knows, but she doesn't want to take me in full time and she doesn't want to tell the CPS the truth because all she cares about is time to herself. my sister sides with my dad because he pays her to. Since I can't do anything about my situation, I need help coping with the fact that I have 4 more years of this hell until graduation. please help

So I was in Michigan for summer visiting my dad, his girlfriend, and their kids (my half siblings) and some other family that lives there. Well, one day my dad was being an jerk to my little sister, age 5, because she was picking at a seat that was already torn to pieces and I was venting to my mom about it on Kik about it and I started having an anxiety attack because my dad was yelling and it was just too much. He and his girlfriend asked why i was crying and I yelled "I"M TIRED OF THIS", gesturing towards my sister, who was eating in the kitchen on the floor because she was picking at the dining room seat. He then started yelling at me because "I'm not supposed to talk to him that way" anyways, a few weeks later his girlfriend broke up with him because he's an asshole and he blamed me because "I made him lash out on me" and I was wondering if it's abuse to blame your kids on stuff like that (keep in mind, I live with my mom five states away from him, so I'm safe)

So I got this really nice purse for my birthday a couple weeks ago that I love. I haven't been wearing it extremely often though because it's really fancy and often times I feel like it's too fancy to bring it to certain places(grocery store,ect) and so I don't feel comfortable taking it there.. But since I haven't been wearing it too much(I've worn it 2-3 times since I got it last month) my mom said I was ungrateful. Does not wearing it a lot make me ungrateful? Apparently that's what my mom thinks but I don't know. Maybe she's right?

I am 17, live in Alabama. I should be finished with school shortly, and I won't be 18 until September 29th. I am miserable at home. I live with my grandmother. She constantly yells at me and cusses. My uncle who lives with us pawns his 3 kids on me every day he has them. I do all my school online, and scheduled to be done in December of 2015 but I'm just now getting almost finished, because of it all. I bought a car this week with my own money, but the insurance was put in her name, even though I pay it, and my grandmother is holding it as leverage over my head. I try to stand up for myself and she tells me to go to my room and stay there and don't think about getting in MY car. My grandmother is controlling and if she can't control everything, she stirs it up and makes a person look awful where people will side with her. She called my mother and told her the reason she did it was my room wasn't clean. My room is SPOTLESS. When I asked her why she said it, (and I recorded it) she says she never said it. She didn't talk to mom or dad. I just want to leave, but only after I finish school. I've read that the definition of a child is "someone over the age of 10, but younger than 17, meaning I am not a child at the age of seventeen? Is this correct? That also means, that if I decided to leave after I finished with school that I couldn't be a runaway because according to the Attorney General, a runaway is "a child that leaves home voluntarily with not intent of coming back.. Help!

So I have this shed that my family uses and its like portable. that's not important but anyway my sister has like 5 sacks of clothes in it and my mom is having like a huge big thing where anyone can have their yard sale. I was looking out in the shed and I really wanted to sell all those clothes she had in there they have been in there for years now and nothing has happened and I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity that my mom is having the sale thing going on. The thing is my mom told my sister that I was going through all of those clothes out there and that I was going to sell them. After my mom told her she got all mad and went out there and said she was going to sell them. What should I do just let her have her clothes and let her sell them? and I just wanted to also put out there that I just organized all those clothes in the morning and got all cold wasted my time so she can sell those clothes? OR should I take them back idk but they are her mostly her clothes. It just makes me so mad she waits till the last minute to get every thing going. and I was out there for over hours oh and the sale is tomorrow and she has a baby to take care of. It just bothers me that she didn't tell me her plan when she knew I was trying to make a couple dollars and I would like to add she is over 18 and can get a job and I'm only 15

This involves a parent and his treatment of my other parent. He has stolen, he has lied, he has committed fraud, he has tried to take away the person`s rights...so many things I can`t even really list them all. I want to disown him and have no more contact, but I don`t know if this is an overreaction. Some people say that blood is blood, but what if your family member is a complete sociopath and you hate everything they do and stand for? Advice needed please.

My parents are together and my mom is more reasonable but my dad is so controlling. He won t let me do things because he doesn t want me to. I m a good daughter, I go to school, and I work a part time job to pay my school, and I help my parents financially a lot. A lot of times I ve saved them from financial crisis. I m a sweet girl, and my dad knows it. So I ve been dating this guy for a year and I ve known him for about 5 years as a friend from high school. His family is super sweet too, my dad likes them and him. I want to go to Disney World with my boyfriend and his family for his birthday for a weekend and my dad isn t having it. He doesn t want me to go. Just because. He asked where would I sleep? I told him his family rents a house and I would have my own bed alone because there s always a guest bedroom that s not used. He still says no. Why??? I m 22! He likes my boyfriend and his family! I live in Miami, so Disney is only about 4 hours away, not in another state or anything. It s only for 2-3 days. My parents hardly ever fight. But when they do, its usually my dad. He becomes moody and stops communicating with my mom which makes it awkward when I'm with them. I'm an only child so I cannot ignore the awkwardness innthe air. My mom isn't one to fight back. She doesn't really like answering back to my dad and so gets upset but doesn't really say anything. She still cooks and cleans for my dad aswell, making her an obidient wife, which she has been for 39 years now. I'm 16. She says she does but her behavior contradicts what she says. My dad took me to get a permit. I got the permit. She wants nothing to do with teaching me how to drive. But her boyfriend said he would teach me. I know she doesn't want to teach me in her car because it's big. But why would she not want to teach me in her boyfriend's car if he's ok with it? Then I was planning to get a job that is walking or biking distance, but she says it's too far especially if it's bad weather. It's a 2.1 mile walk. I told her I could check the weather ahead of time and get an Uber or taxi on the days it's supposed to be bad weather. I've walked from school to an ice cream shop with my friends and we have walked home. The walk home is 2.9 miles. I want a job to save up for a car, college and to have more money to hang out with my friends. I don't mind walking or biking because I do it often to get to places.

my older brother moved out of our house and moved in with his dad this summer. and his dad lives 12 hours away. he's a senior and is graduating so we're supposed to go see his graduation. I'm in a club for school called Beta and we are having a trip to Florida for a week and his graduation falls right in the middle of the Flordia trip, so I can't do both. Her mom owns the apartment so I pay her mother directly. Sometimes her mom gives me money for groceries because she wants to help me get back on my feet (personal problems) and ever since she started doing that, my friend is extremely nosey about what I do with my money. If I say anything like " im going to the movies, going to the book store, ordering this thing off amazon" her immediate response is "who's money are you spending" and she sounds so concerned and won't stop worrying for some reason like I'm just taking her mom's money to go buy drugs or something. When I was 12, my mother had found out that my dad had sleep with 8 different women during their whole marriage. Also he would watch porn on the tv which my mother had saw on the tv bill. He tried to convince my mother that it was her fault that their marriage was failing. They would argue every night and later my mom, my little brother, and me moved into a different house. Then they got divorced. When we moved into the house, my dad stole my key to the new house so he could make of copy of it for his own (even though it wasn t his house). A year later, my mom found a better house for me and my brother due to the other house being in a bad neighborhood. My mom then found someone new and my father got very jealous. He stalked my moms boyfriend Instagram to see if he was cheating on her even though he was wasn t. I m 17 years old now and I really don t want my dad in my life anymore. He has fully convinced himself that he is a good guy even though he lies to me and little brother all time. He has developed to be a narcissist. He screams at my brother constantly and tells him he is a bad person if he makes a mistake. I m so tired of seeing my little brother cry because of him. Also he even watched porn when me and my brother were at his house and lied about it. So my question is it is bad that I want him out of my life even though he is my dad?

Sometimes she has fights w/ her parents and she comes over to my house to stay until stuff calm down. She sleeps in my room because my brother tried making a move on her when she slept in the spare room...things were awkward after that but eventually it got better. Now she comes over to my house more often and if I'm gone even for a couple of minutes my brother will try making a move on her. Sometimes he's just messing around and joking but at other times he tries to kiss her and hug her but she just shrugs it off. Here is the thing. My family is currently in a difficult situation. My father revealed to me today that he had lost his job. He and mother told me not to worry about it because that he's already receiving job proposals. thus I should move on like if it never happened and everything was fine just like before. After the talk, I was still worried about this situation, thinking of how this could affect us all, and hoped that things would work out. However, I thought on ways on helping out, like: -making meals at home so that, when I'm in college, I don't have to pay for meals. - use less electricity, take quicker showers to save on bills As the day passed, I already was feeling quite normal and acted like nothing happened. But I remembered that I had plans to go out in the weekend, which I told my mother about it the day before (she was fine with it), and went to ask my father for some money. We talked and he was okay with it. A few minutes after I left his room, my mother was enraged. In which she scolded me for asking him money, not showing any kind of solidarity towards his situation, accusing me of being selfish. I tried to tell her I had no mean intentions, but she wouldn't let me talk. She turned around and slammed the door. I broke down into tears. I was confused, I didn't know what I did wrong or how was I supposed to act. Like I said before, I didn't act like I did not care when I asked him, and was just as worried of the situation. Am I a bad person?

My daughter is 14, She doesn't like tellling me about when she's hurt, fights with her friends, etc. One time I heard this little girl told my daughter how big her boobs are (which they are big) from another parent. She never told me this girl said something to her. I was so freaking angry.She will tell anyone else but not me! why!? It's like she is taking everything on her own. My mom and I love each other but sometimes we argue. In fact, we argued 3 times yesterday. Normally I'm a pretty forgiving person, so it's kind of rare for me to hold a grudge, but I did. Yesterday, when I got home from school (in the pouring rain, mind you) she made me check the mail, so I did, and there was no mail, so instead of saying thank you, she just got mad, and I was frusturated because I went out there again without complaining. And when I tried to help her again yesterday, she just belittled me and insulted me, saying that I do it wrong even though it's so simple. I snapped at her and told her that if she's going to treat me like garbage, she doesn't deserve my help at all. A couple hours later, she said that I was the one being a jerk, but then she said something sweet so I let it go. Then she got mad at me for creating a document on the computer and told me she's said it to me and my sister thousands of times, but she f*cking didn't! Because, number 1, I hardly ever go on there, so she NEVER said anything like that to me, and 2, I see my sister doing it all the time. Then she just yelled at me and she fought with my dad and was mean to him too when he was just trying to contact someone with his work. She does this kind of thing pretty often, and she's ruined a lot of experiences for me because of it. Normally, I'd let it go, but I think it's gone too far. Is it justified?

Long story short... My mother gave birth to 3 boys and 1 girl (ME) all of which have different father's..She does not like girls I have been told by her and numerous others... So when she found out she was having One is when my hell started with her.... She use to abuse me jus to get back at my father, and all sorts of things she hated me... My father's mother had been fighting for me since my birth and finally won custody.... I am now 26 and my relationship with her has been up& down... For example my parents divorced when I was a baby and my father remarried. My father died when I was 7. As a result of the divorce and remarriage my siblings were angry and since my father's death they have wanted nothing to do with his child from his marriage to the 2nd wife. I fear people could do this to me if they are mad at my mother for some reason or other. So is this normal? Should I be worried that this could happen frequently? Even my mother does this with her uncle's children as she felt her uncle mistreated her father and so she wants little to do with the uncle's two children who are really nice people.

So I m 15 years old and i just bought my second pack of cigarettes and i just keep them in the pocket of my jacket, ive been smoking my current pack for like week now. But today i also bought some skins and filters to make my own and so I also had a bill of those in my pocket with the cigarettes. I also get a 100 euros every month from my parents and today my mom asked me on what i spend my money on and i said food and clothes abd she was acting suspicious so i drcided to get the things from my pocket, but it was empty. Please don t warn me about cancer and stuff because I don t really plant on smoking anymore than this pack. Okay, so this is a REALLY long and twisted story- Okay, so I had a crush on this boy. Let's call him Jake. My friend, Alison, knew I liked Jake, so she gave me his number. I texted Jake, and he actually turned out to be a total jerk and I was super upset. I texted Alison and told her that he was rude. She felt really bad about it. BUT then somehow, my sister received all the texts I was sending to Alison. My sister was SUPER pissed at Alison and blamed her for everything that happened between me and Jake. She called Alison worthless and said to never talk to me again. She thought that Alison had set me up intentionally. My sister has never liked Alison though. My mom and dad agreed with my sister, but I didn't. My family said my sister was just protecting me. I feel like she was unnecessarily rude. My whole family got super pissed at me and said I can't hang out with Alison anymore. But I'm not mad at Alison at all and still want to be her friend. I feel completely helpless to myself. My parents want me to go to college despite my disastrous experience during my first semester. I honestly would rather kill myself than have to force myself through more school. my mom likes to share our daily lives, most convosersation ended with her bragging or talking about herself/family. I recently found out things about my granddad. He was a guard for president Kennedy (you can see him in one of the documentaries standing beside Kennedy), was stabbed when he was a taxi driver, was held at knife point during a prison break before he quit, and was in a mafia. Not in that order. The only reason he was let go from the mafia was because the boss respected and trusted him, and the only reason the man who held a knife on him didn't slit his throat was because my granddad showed him respect and kindness and the man respected him for that. It's strange and almost surreal to hear these stories and see it. My granddad was an intimidating man, but he had a good heart, and loved his family. We have a friend, he is very nice but his two children are devil's. Extreme to say this about children, but they are really just awful. We all avoid going in to town, or out for dinner with him when he has these kids. The last time we did, they ran around the cafe pulling over tables, and throwing the cutlery at others, he did NOTHING until the manager said we had to leave, then all he said was "boys were going now". My child's last birthday party, last year, they pulled the cake and all of food off the table and threw it at other kids, again, no telling off from their dad. They've purposely went to the toilet on my daughter's clothes. They ripped all of her books up, drawn words like " C*nt, sh*t, f*ck, bastard" on my daughter's bedroom wall. They've smashed vases etc. If I went in to what they have done to others houses, I could list 300 things, they've also stolenpaint, sneaked out and threw paint on houses and doors. The amount of things he's damaged, and money they've cost us. About 17 of us have spoken to their dad, his excuse is "don't be stupid, they're just kids". Do I have enough reason not to invite them to her birthday party this year, and to my house again? He is angry because others got invitations in their class, and they wanted to go. Am I just being mean? They cause trouble, and destroy something EVERYTIME I see them.

I am 17 male from UK and my mum won't let me get my ears pierced. I am a damn adult in 6 months and there's no good saying "oh just wait 6 months lol" cos I'll still be living with them and she'll just kick me out (yes over earrings cos I'll be 18 so she doesn't have to have me anyway). Its so annoying cos I have two sisters and a brother and they all have ears, some eyebrow and some nose and lips and everything! One of my sisters is 12 and my mom allows her, my other sister is my twin and she's allowed and my older brother is 24 and he's allowed to do whatever he wants She has the attitude that only girls are allowed them and it annoys the hell out of my cos you can't just limit a 17 yr old doing stuff based on sexist opinionated statements. My dad doesn't care but is scared of my mom so just agrees with her all the time How do I make her see reason? I've got them in now and cos she can't throw me out she will just start trying to ground me like I'm 10, how do I make her thanks

Alright so I am a 16 years old male. Currently in high school. Now let me get to the chase, so my parents are annoying. I recently found out that my 16 year old son has been sleeping around. I found out because I confiscated his phone and he had sexual texts and pictures from multiple women. His father passed away two years ago, leaving me a single mother of three kids. Two girls and one boy. Since the death I've been more worried about the girls and there feelings and making sure there happy. I feel I may have Hurt my son. My son works two part time jobs and goes to school. He has to pay for his car, car insurance and he helps me Financially with his sisters. When his father died I started depending on him to help me with his sisters. I never really asked about him or thought about his feelings.I see that now I was wrong and he was a little boy I shouldn't have made it his problem. I've tried talking to him about the dangers of him sleeping around and he won't hear it. He says he knows what he doing. My son sees women as nothing more then a sex object. I want him to go to therapy and get help but he won't he says he doesn't have a problem.

So one time I went to Istanbul with my mom and two aunts and I felt like going to the bathroom. Ok, I am now 22 y/o living in our house with my parents. But I've been struggling with my father because he is ignoring me, ignoring us, except my mom and the youngest. What I really don't like is the way my father treats me, and also with my siblings. He doesnt open up, no chatter at all, he completely ignore us, never a funny moment. He used to use his authority to speak sharply if he has to tell something. Loud and angry voice most of the time. Thats how he interacts us. The bad thing is that it affected me, and maybe my siblings too. I was very shy to open up and hang out with my coworkers. It was like I am introverted but I do not intend to hurt my coworkers because I was unable to chat and hangout with them. It's apparent that I cant change my father. I admit that I hate him a lot of times, secretly. But I want to do something. Self help books say that we have the power to choose our reactions to stimuli, how to react on people around and in family. But I have been struggling for many years. Any help please?

So I went out with a girl for 3 years and our relationship was amazing her and I are very attractive but we broke it off because of complicated reasons and now we don't talk at all. My mom has to do a lot of work cuz we live with our uncle and they are lazy and my mom has to do all their work and cook for them. I feel really bad for my mother and want to help her out with the dishes or laundry but want to focus on my studies first. My parents told me focus on my studies the most and I do get straight As at school. I want to help my parents out since I have a lot of free time during the weekend. Every day I get depressed over something beyond my control or something I did that was ******* stupid. Last night I made a stupid decision and now it's cost me. I'm tired of getting into fights with my mother all the time, I'm tired of having negative thoughts about the crap that has come out of my dad's mouth. I'm tired of being a loser. I feel like a ******* loser. I lost my temper last night because of some **** that came out of my brothers mouth some time ago. My mother is really starting to annoy me and I just don't like my parents anymore. I'm tired of being brought down by their ****. I'm sick of having disagreements with my mother and being brought down by her all the time, I'm tired of having such low self-esteem, what should I do? My parents are jerks. They never respect me or any decisions I make. I have an F in one of my classes in my high school which I have mainly due to the fact that the teacher is a massive ****** who wants every assignment to be perfect. Anyways, I've been trying my hardest to fix that grade. But when I tell my parents, they don't listen to me and assume that I'm doing absolutely nothing and now they've punished me by taking away my PS4 even though I've been telling them to just leave me alone and deal with it since it's my problem. And another thing is that I live about 10 minutes away from my high school (by car). It's usually a 20 minute walk and I tell my parents constantly to just let me walk and they don't give a crap and pick me up after I've told them millions of times to just let me walk. And they force me to go to church with them even though I protest that I don't care about going to church and that they need to stop forcing religion down my throat. Any advice to help me deal with their crap?

I have a full time job and I have to do full school days at home. Along with that, I have smaller responsibilities like having a dog, having a class to teach on Wednesday nights, and having to help out around the house. Whenever I get a day off, I still have things to do. He's saying that I don't do much and this is nothing. I'm also dealing with emotional stress, like family problems and anxiety about my future. He also assumes things about me. He says that I know nothing about the real world. No, I don't have much life experience, but that doesn't mean I don't know anything. I have a job so I can save up and I think a lot about possible situations. I know about the real world. I'm just not very experienced yet. He also assumes things about me like I'm not listening to older people's advice when I do. Whenever I hear an older person's advice, I remember it because they have more wisdom than I do. He also assumes other things, like I didn't prepare, when I did, and stuff like that. This is really bothering me. The soonest I can move out is in 6 months. Why is he acting this way? He's acting like I have the wisdom and responsibilities of a 15-year old.

my sister is 17 and out of control. she is failing all of her classes, she rarely goes to school, she does drugs (only marijuana but still), and she is sexually active. my mother recognizes she is a problem but is either in denial or doesn't know how to deal with it. our dad isn't in the picture however she could go live with him but that might make things worse. she has never been punished for a single thing she has done. in December, she totaled my mom's brand new car and cost my family a lot of money which we don't have. she has this boy over all the time, goes in her room with the door closed, refuses to admit they are dating but i have heard her having sex with this boy. i honestly think my mom is afraid of her and thats why she doesn't do anything. she constantly is smoking, drinking, etc. she had a job but she stopped showing up. she expects my mom to pay for everything. my mom doesn't have a lot of money, and even if she did thats not an acceptable thing to expect of your parent. she is a train wreck who is going to end up arrested, pregnant, or dead. i love my sister but if she is behaving like this and showing manipulative traits this young something needs to be done... she is so incredibly selfish. i am 18 years old in my first year of college and i have had to put my life on the back burner so i can focus on my sisters. she needs to be punished and shown she can't behave like this but no one will actually do it. what do i do??
